"We are going to put America first"

Donald Trump pulls no punches in his speech today on why he is running for president:
Our country lost its way when we stopped putting the American people first.

We got here because we switched from a policy of Americanism – focusing on what’s good for America’s middle class – to a policy of globalism, focusing on how to make money for large corporations who can move their wealth and workers to foreign countries all to the detriment of the American worker and the American economy.

We reward companies for offshoring, and we punish companies for doing business in America and keeping our workers employed.

This is not a rising tide that lifts all boats.

This is a wave of globalization that wipes out our middle class and our jobs.

We need to reform our economic system so that, once again, we can all succeed together, and America can become rich again.

That’s what we mean by America First.

Our country will be better off when we start making our own products again, bringing our once great manufacturing capabilities back to our shores.

Our Founders understood this.

One of the first major bills signed by George Washington called for “the encouragement and protection of manufactur[ing]” in America.
He's got both economics and history on his side, regardless of what the corrupt globalist economists and historians will tell you.

I have to say, Trump the Candidate is saying far more of the right things than I would have even expected to hear from Ron Paul.

And all the Democrats can do is put some over the hill gasbags in to a sit in on the house floor, they really be losers if they cannot get that cuck gimp Paul Ryan to save their moral authority.

Anyway I was watching it and I thought it is time that America was part of the global manufacturing chain not its dumping ground

No doubt he's still only in it to throw it to Hillary...

I wonder if the assassination attempt made him figure, fuck it. Even if he dropped out tomorrow he's Hitler to the rabbits. Not only will he never get their vote but they'll dance in the streets if he was murdered.

So much better to go full K, in-group like a boss, and Trump the rabbits by out-grouping them as hard as possible: from "I'm with You" to "America First" to pointing out Hillary supports people who want to kill other people who support Hillary.

Hope tomorrow is as good a day as today.

Win or lose, things will never be the same and there is no going back.

Why ?

B/C Trump has managed to convince the white race (specifically the white male) to put aside their petty differences and to coalesce around a common ideal.

And what is that common ideal ? Rebirth....

This sounds very good indeed. I hope he will stick to this message during the rest of the campaign. That's exactly what the American working and Middle Class wants to hear.

Blogger Mr.MantraMan June 22, 2016 2:20 PM

Trump ain's done nothing racial unless you really want to hear a dog whistle, he has broken the door jam, hinges and dead bolt to the cell of Political Correctness.

I hope the only time Donald mentions anything to do with race is to disqualify the cranks on the Left who cannot stop talking about race, not hold grand intellectual discussions with those cranks, disqualify those cranks, brutally if possible.

I can see he is making the pivot to the general election with a calmer statesman like approach, but still wielding the shiv. Nice mix. Couldn't tell for sure, but it didn't look like he was using a teleprompter either. Speech was definitely more focused than during the primaries.

Meanwhile, *IF* the initial reporting is accurate, principled conservative Ted Cruz and 58 others vote to waive the 4th Amendment. (Nothing gets voted on that Mitch doesn't want.)

"On Tuesday, a prominent supporter of the legislation, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said the bill could have helped the FBI apprehend Orlando mass murderer Omar Mateen"

So an intelligence failure due to political correctness means the gov't needs more power. Sounds kinda familiar...

(I do agree that he could have at one point been floating a trial balloon, but the trial is resolved and the answer is Yes.)

(Also, general observation, "He's a raging egomaniacal narcissist" and "He's in it to throw it" don't go together very well.)

I can be bothered he wants to deny guns to those on watch lists, but I can expect him to fix the list (require some kind of warrant of limited time to put someone on the "list" - no fire yet, but sufficient smoke for one).

The comparison to Ron Paul is particularly apt. In 2012, we could have done it the easy way with Paul. Now we have to do it the hard way with Trump. Someone fed the leviathan gremlin after midnight then threw them in the swimming pool.

Trump has crazy levels of security not only from the secret service but from his own guys some of which are supposed to Mossad or from other clandestine branches. And note Israel tends to like him a lot more than Hillary.

His only real issue right now is money, he's going to need a lot more than he has. That said the R establishment and the D's (same thing really) starving him for funds can be dealt with.

Haven't seen the speech yet (busy morning), but I gather he hit one out of the park again (I was very impressed – more than I expected – by the foreign policy speech).

Meanwhile, for anybody who hasn't or might not hear about this: A friend who's on Trump's email list forwarded a message he got today:

This is the first fundraising email I have ever sent on behalf of my campaign. That's right. The FIRST ONE.

And, I'm going to help make it the most successful introductory fundraising email in modern political history by personally matching every dollar that comes in WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS, up to $2 million!

This means any donation you make between $1 and $2,700 (the maximum allowable contribution) will be matched, dollar-for-dollar.

Donald J. Trump

The donation page for the match is here:

https://secure.donaldjtrump.com/first-one

When I went to the page to make a donation (first time for me since Ron Paul, previously the only political donations I've made in my life, occasionally from 1981 thru 2008), my card was refused. Weird. I tried again. Still refused. Called my bank; they said there was some kind of block on the page, or somewhere outside their system, that they could do nothing about. Has it been hacked? I'm about to call the Trump campaign to see if I can figure it out.

(Btw, I live in a very "liberal" small western city – in 2008 it was ¡Obamanos! signs everywhere, and it's simply assumed this state will go for Clinton – so felt reluctant to tell the woman at the bank just what I was trying to do; but when I did, she said Great! I'm going to make sure this goes through! Wonders never cease.)

Okay, now this is weird. I'm on his email list, and I didn't get his fundraising email, even though I've been getting his emails just fine so far.

So I look in my spam folder. Sure enough, there it is, an email entitled "The First One." For some reason, it was flagged as spam. My email is through yahoo.

Although I'll always believe that Ron Paul is an honorable man, I'm finished with his libertarian ideology. This country has a femoral artery cut and Ron Paul wants to work out an exercise regiment for it.

The fact that Dr. Paul refuses to acknowledge how dire the situation in America is and casts aspersions at Trump for being an authoritarian tells me that he's hopelessly out of touch.

I won't bother mentioning Rand.

Anonymous Grinder June 22, 2016 4:34 PM

I think Trump will win it. There is an actual chance at climbing back before civil/race war. Hopefully a war with Russia isn't triggered before he gets in. I'm not too optimistic about Brexit, though. I think that enough white Brits (mostly females) will pussy out of taking this chance to free themselves and save something of the Britain that was. The brown masses will vote to stay so as to keep their welfare options open.

Blogger tz June 22, 2016 5:05 PM

WOW!. If this was his acceptance speech at the convention it would be epic. He is just getting warmed up.

At AmConMag, I noted that a country with 330 trillionaire plutocrats and 330 million in abject poverty is very different than one with a fraction of the GDP, but no able person on the dole. The devil is mean, but is visible in the standard deviation. Well, there's many deviants...

But that is the problem with "free trade", even authentic free trade - if you have (able) people that descend below the bottom rung of the ladder, and don't want them to be euthanized, you will need to subsidize them. It is better to have an artificial shortage of labor which boosts real wages (so makes minimum wages laws irrelevant) so that one person can support a large family than cheap junk and food at WalMart and other discount chains, but over half your population is unemployed and their only source of income is welfare payments. I didn't think of it during the debate in these terms, but which country would you prefer living in, one with a huge middle class and a few really poor or rich, or one where there is no middle class, the huge majority barely getting by on welfare, and a bunch of plutocrats?

Though he didn't say he would indict her - maybe it depends on if Obama grants her a pardon (but insure Bill, Chelsea, and the rest of the branches on the poison tree - what is the statute of limitation on rape again?).

Blogger dienw June 22, 2016 5:07 PM

O.T. from Denninger a masterful comment on the process being performed on the American nation:
If you go back to any time a population was being prepped for genocide, you see that pattern. Disarm them, undermine them economically, mock and ridicule them to engender hatred, and then the attacks slowly start to build. The population is prevented from fighting back, and they slowly grow weaker and demoralized. We've seen just this pattern with the lower white classes in Britain. Disarmed, undermined by mass immigration, forced to retreat in their own homes, not allowed to retaliate when their daughters are preyed upon.

This is the importance of Trump; if he fails to comprehend this, he is useless.

Among the victims is our late Ambassador, Chris Stevens. He was left helpless to die as Hillary Clinton soundly slept in her bed — that’s right, when the phone rang at 3 o’clock in the morning, she was sleeping.
Ambassador Stevens and his staff in Libya made hundreds of requests for security.
Hillary Clinton’s State Department refused them all.
She started the war that put him in Libya, denied him the security he asked for, then left him there to die. To cover her tracks, Hillary lied about a video being the cause of his death....

Fast forward to 2013: In just four years, Secretary Clinton managed to almost single-handedly destabilize the entire Middle East. Her invasion of Libya handed the country over to the ISIS barbarians. Thanks to Hillary Clinton, Iran is now the dominant Islamic power in the Middle East, and on the road to nuclear weapons."

All the TRS podcasts are making the point (Fash the Nation made it first, I think) that, when the media shows Hillary right now, they never play audio of her. Instead they show her smiling and waving or speaking, no sound, and then an attractive, young reporter with a nice voice relays what she said.

Her voice and presence is that bad, and both will get worse as the campaign wears on with Trump shelling her constantly.

If she doesn't go full demon scream in a debate, like at the end of this news report, I'll be surprised.

Shimshon's Jewish Libertine friend is probably going to need a new fainting couch. After backing Shimshon up on his free trade argument, using godless bacon eating gay jews trying to subvert Israel to get arab rent boys as an example, I commented on his David Duke article & made a libertarian argument that the jailed Jewish man who killed his rapist freely agreed all the previous extortion & rape was worth not having the rapist bring evidence to the cops.

I write occasionally about Trump on my fine website

www.sorcerygod.wordpress.com

(scroll down to find the military/politico postings, and skip the female or fictional postigns if you want)

But I believe Trump is hoping for an opportunity to expand the presidential sphere of authority, with himself at the epicenter. According to this thesis, if a black swan event happens, and Trump martial-lawizes the nation, he can arrogate to himself the most extreme powers that America has ever seen.

Now, I'm not against this, necessarily. If Trump could stall out Congress and break the gridlock, he could go beyond "punishing" the press and pushing trade policies, moving into a land of absolute wish-fulfillment where his Executive Orders took on a Caesarian cast and gave him the glow of a god-emperor figure.

What would a Trumpian Imperial Presidency do?

I think Trump might -- MIGHT -- push back against the massive non-Caucasian immigration boom that has, legally and illegally, undermined the dominant Europoid population core of the U.S. Who knows? He might export/deport millions, and not just Mexamericans, either.

As a man who believes in a military that is second to none, he could theoretically start a war of conquest, too. I don't just mean national security issue type wars of the Bush First stripe, where oil interests are protected against, but blatant Alexander the Great type conquests across the globe. Why not? No one has really tested America's might. With an operational Anti Ballistic Missile system (say operational by the start of his second term) Trump need not fear nuclear retaliation in an American global invasion, and said invasion would immortalize his name more than any cuddly feely domestic economic initiatives would...

I am reposting my thoughts on Trump as commander-in-chief, because Vox Day's anti-spammer has it in for me.

At my website, which can be read at

www.sorcerygod.wordpress.com

I delicately state my belief (which is actually supportive) that Trump has a unique opportunity to seize power in America with a black swan rare event, and hence to reshape the country.

Think of it! If there is a massive terrorist attack, and Trump declares martial law, he can revoke the checks and balances holding him back and rule as he undoubtedly wishes to -- as perhaps I might or Vox Day might -- and control the nation by FIAT. His wishes being the only law.

What might he do? I foresee two delectable possibilities.

(1) Roll back the nonwhite hordes that have planted on America's shores since the 1960s. Restore white dominance to the United States of America through deportation and harassment, and repossession of assets

(2) Go on a global war of conquest. This would ensure an immortality -- which Trump surely craves -- to his name. With an anti-ballistic missile system coming online sometime in his second term, Trump would no longer have to worry about nuclear retaliation against American offensive operations around the globe, and the first Risk-like war of conquest could happen without interference. America already spends more than the next 20 countries together. Could America march across the globe unopposed? Would it assign its immigrants (Iranian-Americans to Persia, Russian-Americans to Moscow, etc) as consuls and provincial despots, collecing taxes from the newly conquered territories under a true Pax Americana?

I have some postings on this topic at my website. Once again, come see me and scroll my posts ...

I think Trump's VP will be someone under the radar (definitely not Walker, who is a Cruzlim). Trump wants someone that can get legislation through Congress and is capable of stepping in as President if needed. He wants someone loyal, which lets out a lot of the GOPe.

Don't know what is up with Ron, but Rand Paul did endorse Trump. Has a lot more personal integrity than Jeb, Lindsay, Cruz and Walker.

Trump is refreshingly right about globalization and the US middle class. But it's not enough to return manufacturing etc. An extended economic turnaround requires restoration of fatherhood and patriarchal middle and lower classes, generally present pre-Seventies. Meaning a productive element instead of make-work jobs for your daughters etc. That policy cuts much deeper, and returns more, than factories and fences, and provides a real alternative to Leftist narratives and policies as represented by Barack and Pantsuit.

Donald is presumptive nominee correct? His 'campaign' looked fine, so why fire Lewandowski? Super-businessmen don't usually mess with success. If Trump jettisoned Lewandowski as concession to Michelle Fields and the female electorate, that'd be troubling.

Your daughter can be president, your wife can be president, or you can be president. Not everybody at once. I hear that Ivanka is besties with Chelsea, and fancies herself a ((( ))). I have no problem w/ basic income administered at a sufficiently small scale, and designed to be pro-civic (e.g. assault or property felony loses your BI for five years, no additional income for children.)

I'm sure it wouldn't work everywhere (nothing will) but a small swiss-like canton could probably use it to replace welfare. I'd be interested to see, anyway.

OpenID sooootired June 23, 2016 12:06 PM

Vox, I think you have experience to play two key roles in making this happen after Trump gets elected. If things are going to be made in the U.S.A. again, plants might need to be built quickly. There might be a shortage of people who can do plant controls (I don't know, PLC or DCS, I'm just basing this on something a guy once told me about how he has come out of retirement because they don't teach his specialty in colleges anymore). Your DevGame experience might be something that could be duplicated if there is a shortage of people who can design factories.

I also think that the Cathedral will go full throttle environmentalist to prevent new plants from being built, and something like SJWs Always Lie needs to be written about NIMBYs. People need to know how to attend a local re-zoning meeting and identify environmentalists who are covert anti-capitalists.

On the other hand, population pollution is a legitimate concern at these local meetings. If another Tyson wants to set up a Somalian refugee camp for cheap labor in a new factory, that needs to be thwarted.

The speech was a home run for sure. Trump is getting better and better at teleprompter reading, and what's more, he's even getting better at going off the teleprompter script, which is very charming.

I was listening to Trump on the Hugh Hewitt show this morning.

(I used to like Hugh, even though he's obviously a neocon, but I lost a lot of what respect I had for him when he contracted Trump Derangement Syndrome and started mkinag failed prediction after failed prediction of how Trump was going lose, brokered convention, blah blah blah.)

Anyway, I was scanning the talk radio stations and Hugh was interviewing Trump. So I decided to listen, and Trump is just so damn genuine. Trump is listening to Hugh's questions, thinking out loud a bit, asking Hugh questions, etc. He comes across as very normal, and agree with him or not, it's refreshing to listen to a presidential candidate have a genuine conversation and speak his mind, rather than reciting practiced, polished responses for every possible question.

Hugh even asked if Trump planned to practice for the debates and Trump said something to the effect that he'll practice some, but he doesn't want to practice so much that he's not himself anymore.

That's one reason why people are going to vote him and why he's going to win.

Yeah that was my inference. Actually an open question, as I didn't see a separate Lewandowski post and thread. I was hoping somebody would inform/refute me. Trump is supposed to be the ALTERNATIVE to the American gynarchy. Not it's pseudo-conservative bestest.

Ivanka's sudden 'conversion' to an (un)Orthodox Jewish sect is troubling, if that supposedly conservative sect is basically another cover for prog neo-religion, like so many Prot denominations ... particularly a Jewish sect that welcomes the 'advancement' of females as leaders. How very convenient for our shadow-matriarchy. As convenient as getting rid of misogynist Lewandowski during a quiet period in the election run-up.

Nobody who had the best interest of this nation at heart would be friends, much less celebrity-besties, with Chelsea Clinton, or with any of that anti-American criminal family. I don't want my ALTERNATIVE president susceptible to political influence from crypto-feminists inside his own family. Because that is how the other 'conservatives' in North America became functional feminists, including the leaders of the Republican Party. Couldn't stand up to females, their own or others.

Blogger Richard Burnett June 25, 2016 7:37 PM

This is futile.
We have had candidates, even Presidents similar to Trump and Hillary, indeed worse. Thomas Jefferson, who wrote for small government, actually praised Hamiltons ideas on the Presidency and as President, practiced them with the illegal Purchase and the Embargoes. The Purchase expanded the central government power and the money paid went to Napoleon. Madison as President started a central bank and later defended Jacksons suppression of SC nullification denying the ideas that the Union was not binding or that the government wascreated by independent States. And there were others who had no government experience, or too much, like Wilkie and LBJ respectively or showed in office to be incompetent, Buchanan and Grant
As to the American People, well lets see if Trump gets lynched trying to reduce entitlements, these same that the People want and have supported. How many times have there been attempts at tax reform and how many fails. And sure Hillary blundered with the e mails and security but will get away with it as Teagan with Iran Contra, JFK and the Bay of Pigs and Ike with his very active CIA. The only reason Nixon was forced out was due to stupidity on his part and a MSM that wanted him for his crimes against the Left.
Fortunately neither Donald nor Hillary have the dangerous stuff of G Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton, Lincoln, FDR, to remake the nation from the White House alone
So as there will be no general breakup of yhe EU, nor $1800 gold nor $13000 stocks, a Trump or Clinton presidency will not usher the End Times nor even Radicaly Changed Times
