SJWs: the larger game

A review of SJWAL by TBC Book Review:
Gamergate is a consumer revolt against progressivism, but many, perhaps most Gamergaters are quite progressive. You could say more or less the same thing about Counter-Jihad figures such as Tommy Robinson or Milo. To Vox Day, these are all potential or actual allies.

The fact is, most will heal themselves from progressivism in steps, the two major ones being:
  1. The progressivist revolt against various aspects or consequences of progressivism.
  2. Becoming a reactionary: as an aesthetic revolt against ugliness, out of virile pride, and through metaphysical conversion.
BUILDING AN SJ-PROOF WORLD, ONE STEP AT A TIME

This is, without question, the most remarkable aspect of what Vox Day is doing, and of which SJWAL is just a component.

According to his theory, organizations not designed to resist social justice convergence will eventually undergo convergence, thus becoming incapable of performing their original function and creating market opportunities for competitors or new entrants.

This is the time to be ambitious.
Project Big Fork is proceeding apace, and on schedule, the occasional hiccup notwithstanding. The launch of version 1.0 and the public kickstarter to fund 2.0 is still expected to take place in September. However, we will likely have a new, and equally significant, announcement, in three weeks or so, that concerns another aspect of the socio-technological high ground. About which more anon, but feel free to speculate as you see fit.

We can't fix or cure SJWs. Only God can do that. And while we can't trust moderates or liberals in positions of leadership, we can certainly welcome them into our ranks if they are willing to follow our lead.

The challenge is to avoid mistaking the enthusiasm of the convert for the good sense of the individual who was wise enough to not be hoodwinked or misled in the first place. What worked for the Apostle Paul is very unlikely to work very well in any situation where there is no literal Road to Damascus encounter with the living Son of God.

For an example of what not to do, see the Republican Party and the neocons. Or, alternatively, the conservative movement and the conservative media.

My speculation is a microblogging protocol where everyone uses their own host, similar to a cross between email and rss.

Digitally signed tweets.

Uncensorable, indelible, and unstoppable.

My ex brother in law predicted in 2008 something along those lines would be the future of social media ( he made the remark, at the time, in reference to Facebook ). He saw the deep flaws in Facebook - regarding ownership of content, lack of privacy controls etc.. He believed that Facebook would ultimately attempt to control narratives etc., and predicted that this would ultimately be its demise. He was a very smart guy. Self taught and built/owned a tech company.

And to think, someone was saying earlier that Vox makes too-binary a distinction between Dialectic and Rhetoric... When he often does both in the same stroke.

SJWs need to be quarantined. The problem it is a PC or even "nice" obsessive compulsion.
Like the person who has to wash his hands every few minutes to the point of eventual bleeding, if you think of such a group in HR demanding everyone do it to the point of going around with a cleansing cart and insisting everyone does.
Cleanliness is a virtue. But there is an excess.
SJWs want to cleanse the world of every dissent or even inquiry.

It isn't even that. It really just boils down to their control freak nature as well as a type of sadism. If, right now, we gave SJW's everything they want. They would just invent new shit to bitch about because they do not want anyone to find a comfort zone. I find them to be pure evil. The kind of evil that historic purges are made enough when enough people realize what they are dealing with.

Hmm. Then SJW's are like women who are not under the control of a man.

Well, most SJWs are women, and gamma males.

Speaking of Gamergate, we might be seeing the beginnings of a Gamergate writ large. Breitbart has a very interesting article up about the recent dump by Wikileaks. Just as we have always known, there is high level collusion between the leftist MSM and the DNC. Roaches meet sunlight.

Gamergate is not really the 'alt right'. They are not culture warriors, nationalists, or HBD-ers. Their primacy concern is entertainment (particularly video and computer games) being diluted by political correctness.

Project Big Fork was originally a gigantic fork for sticking Into Ted Cruz. However, no one expected him to be finished so quickly and now they have to scramble 1.0 out early. 2.0 is the nuclear-powered devil's trident version for Hillery in November. Who wouldn't chip in for that?

This is all still secret though.

It is a great time to run Conservative Media. All you have to do is reprint DNC talking points. Why even have those obstreperous writers hanging around drinking the coffee?

Agreed. Too bad it takes so long to build these things. When you think about it, it's kind of amazing that there is no actual competition for Google, Twitter, Facebook, or Wikipedia. Starting with a viable alternative in place would take a lot less time.

Blogger szopen July 23, 2016 1:46 PM

I am definetely not someone who would be trusted by VD to "positions in leadership", but as someone, who once was much closer to the centre, I can tell about my own personal experience. Decade ago I thought about myself as about "moderate conservative, slightly to the right". My road was in two steps:

(1) In 2008 Poland recognised independence of Kosovo. I remember to this day hwo much angry and frustrated i was, and how much I was surprised by my own anger. There was absolutely no rational basis for me being angry about that. That day I became nationalist.

(2) Some time ago on FB i got invitations from old American friends. I was quite happy, since I wasn't talking to them for years. Then I disagreed with them on few minor issues, pointed double standards ... and I find out I am evil racist, nut, crazy and stupid. The liberals and SJWs managed to convert me to an alt-right within less than a year.

It's quite an ironic, actually. One day I created a simple thought experiment: imagine a zombie apocalypse, and two groups of people fighting over resources and trying to survive. Would I choose those american liberal so called "friends" or stick with bunch of completely unknown guys from VD's blog? I think you know the answer.

@19. I'm always curious about how people change their beliefs. Thank you.

Didn't (((Alinsky))) say that you don't radicalize people, your enemies do?

Too many people forget this. Which is one reason that neither their rhetoric nor their dialectic produce the results they wish.

The alt-right talks about "noticing." If you wish to be effective, much of what you do will be about preparing people to notice. That is a moderate game played from a hard frame. Pushing the boundaries of acceptance for noticing is the role of Vox's 'radicals that you must cherish.' Otherwise, all of the "moderate" preparation becomes valueless.

That is OUR larger game. Once you understand that, TBC's 2 stages have a useful frame around them.

To our dear men, thank you for making great games since the 1980's that I treasure, ponder fondly. I wont support women in gaming ever. I like to enjoy what our men do in gaming, its all awesome play. Computer to iphone to etc. , I deny or will avoid women in gaming, its just who I am, anti feminist.

I want our men to make games for themselves and if I, I lady enjoy it, more power to the men!

@ Robert T
There are alternatives to Google. Startpage comes to mind. Unfortunately most of the alternatives ultimately rely on Google for their searches. They also don't offer the same suite of services that someone like Google/Bing offers.
One of the reasons these companies have been so successful has been due in large measure to the level of obscene financing they received in their formative years by such illustrious banking institutions as Goldman Sachs. With massive direct lines of newly minted fiat credit they were able to lose money hand over fist for many years. This enabled them to establish a monopoly - before the profits began rolling in . Facebook, Google etc..are tightly linked to the Deep State. Its the trifecta of Big Government/ NSA, Big Banking and Big Corporations all in bed together.
Those seeking to create an alternative to these sites face a real uphill battle. But if they succeed - the market will reward theme handsomely. The masses are clamoring for alternatives to what we have now. The internet monopoly we have now is very fragile and as the paradigm is shifting entities that are anti- fragile are becoming fashionable once again. Circumstances are demanding it and situations will determining it.

Clearly not. Read the Code of Conduct:
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, age, regional discrimination, political or religious affiliation
Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment
Deliberate misgendering. This includes deadnaming or persistently using a pronoun that does not correctly reflect a person’s gender identity. You must address people by the name they give you when not addressing them by their username or handle
Physical contact and simulated physical contact (eg, textual descriptions like “hug” or “backrub”) without consent or after a request to stop

Sounds SJW to the max.

@28 I love the recent focus on code of conduct.
The code of conduct is a very significant clue about the quality of the project.
If there is one, it is a bad sign, and the bigger it is, the worse is the project.
Same thing with the license. Shitty projects focus a lot on that.

Exactly...Most of the time a "Code of Conduct" is shorthand for "I don't like working, but I HATE people calling me out for not working."

I must admit something. I don't trust a damn thing you do, sometimes. However... I have noticed what you are good at doing and how you work best. I also realized, long ago, that I don't need to trust, if I think there might be something better in there than I can get at. Which I will support if it is in the right direction. And... I believe so, thus do. An endorsement? Yeah.

I'll try to keep up, and put... for the first time in... ages... something into that kitty. Don't hate me for doubting. It's my job... profession, avocation as well. It's just what I do. If you were fail I would have been gone long ago, though you can keep your politi-picks. :p

You are a major party to winning the war. Or at least stirring it back and putting something back into the seeming lost cause. But not in politics, in the social arena. The best I can do it attempt to support what of it I can tolerate. Certainly not all of it. Then again, I don't even support all my goings ons. Heh. Schizo? Only a liar would suggest not, for themselves. If men are sharpened on other men, they must first start with themselves. Tis a good thing. Which takes internal, powerful, opposition.

But there's a youtube video wherein Gavin McInnis refers to an investor friend who has hedged against any organization that has "Diversity" or "Awareness" high on its priorities. Anti-merit. This guy bets that the firms will tank.

Good eye on the CoC. Either I never read it or it was less converged at the time. With the rate at which SJWs invent new offenses, it's always a moving target. Anyway, it's good to know what's out there. It's possible they built something worth using/forking before they passed the SJW event horizon.

CH and Vox is trying to help and save the pre-sjw type casts victims (victims of wrong headed thinking)

SJWAL is a case study in pre-and current SJW antics, meaning I label SJW as sick people. I am tired of them trying to wreck things, I have experienced enough baby boomer SJW social dominance nullsense.
