Conservatives don't get it

I genuinely like Ross Douthat. He is generally honest, and he genuinely tries to make sense of what is going on, most of the time, even though he reliably fails to understand what is happening on the right side of the political spectrum or why the Alt-Right exists.
Then finally, among men who were promised pliant centerfolds and ended up single with only high-speed internet to comfort them, the men’s sexual revolution has curdled into a toxic subculture, resentful of female empowerment in all its forms.

This is where you find Trump’s strongest (and, yes, strangest) fans. He’s become the Daddy Alpha for every alpha-aspiring beta male, whose mix of moral liberation and misogyny keeps the Ring-a-Ding-Ding dream alive.

There aren’t nearly enough of these fans to win him the election. Steinem’s revolution (Clintonian complications and all) should easily beat Hef’s at the ballot box this year.

But the cultural conflict between these two post-revolutionary styles — between frat guys and feminist bluestockings, Gamergaters and the diversity police, alt-right provocateurs and “woke” dudebros, the mouthbreathers who poured hate on the all-female “Ghostbusters” and the tastemakers who pretended it was good — is likely here to stay. With time and Christianity’s further decline, it could eclipse older culture war battles; in the pop culture landscape, it already does.

Ten years ago, liberals pined for a post-religious right, a different culture war.

Be careful what you wish for.
Douthat simply doesn't understand that the Alt-Right is not the 60's counter to feminism, we are the nationalist reaction to conservatism's failure. The issues that absorb him are sideshows. The Alt-Right is on the rise across the West because Douthat, and the conservatism he represents as the New York Times's token conservative, completely failed to conserve the nation.

They will call us fascists. They will call us racists. They will call us Nazis. They will call us sexists. They will call us anti-semitic. They will call us ultra-nationalists. They will call us white supremacists.

And whether those charges are true or not, we don't care. Because we prefer to live in Western civilization, among civilized Western people.

And this is how we know we're on the right track.

The establishment's miscalculation: taking it for granted that American Whites, productive men in particular, will continue to put up with the program. They counted on us continuing to be the good sport in perpetuity.

Amazing things are happening as we're discarding all of our loyalty and self-identification with political abstrations such as Muh Constitution and Muh Murka.

Guys like Ross are watching a new cultural and political alignment that doesn't include them. Same goes for me. In MBA speak, there's very little alignment with what I believe culturally and politically and the current options in the real world.

Which is strange, as I'm a relatively conservative Catholic with a strong libertarian bent. There's nothing I believe that wasn't mainstream thinking a half generation ago and especially a generation ago. Interesting to see how this plays out.

The left is very powerful culturally and getting more powerful. Traditional National Review-style conservatism has been marginalized, and suddenly. It's somewhat of a shock.

Blogger Elocutioner August 18, 2016 8:21 AM

Culture is upstream of politics. It's amusing to see bitter clingers to the old failed ways try to mock and demean what they simply can't, or won't, understand. Yes, Ross, we're mouthbreathers and dudebros, you go with that. Surely the Steinem's Xanax Shoggoth Army will defeat us as did Jeb! at the Battle of Guacamole.

What's a good history example of a general dumped for ineptly fighting the last war in the present? I'm drawing a blank.

I think finally your position is clear VD.
The problem is its decades ahead of what most humans can reliable "see" and thus believe.

They will wring their hands right up until, and well into, the parts where blood is already being spilled daily. And not just on a few trains and shopping malls. If you want a vision of just how much people will tolerate look no further than white South Africa. I did the stats on it. The level of year on year deaths from violent crime there is comparable to civil war and in fact exceeds that of the ex-Yugoslavian conflict where the US had bombing runs.

The whole "race" and SJW issue surrounding the PC bullshit is so embedded in the culture that breaking that spell is indeed the key, but it's a hard lock to break.
And yes, people in general will assume "neo-Nazi White-supremacist" because the subtlety of saying "I don't actually care what you look like, I care what you BEHAVE like and can RELIABLY be expected to behave like" is a dialectic point and thus out of reach of most humans, whom you have proved eminently well over the years, respond only to rhetoric; and false rhetoric mostly at that.

I don't know what the answer is either. I see your overall strategy here and is gathering traction, which is good. I am trying to experiment with getting actual results in meatspace through something slightly different, an appeal to localised cultural nationalism and actual Christian belief rooted more in Deus Vult than "turn the other cheek".
I except if it does sucked it will be labelled racist and neo-Nazi just as much but, perhaps naively, I want to try to start it with a clear "manifesto" that spells out the race issue clearly and instead uses Christianity as the co-foundation instead of only nationalism.

Results will no doubt vary, and one hopes, at least be of some use.

While Ross publicly whines about Christianity's decline, ask him what he thinks of Peter's doctrine on women -- I guarantee that hypocrite would express some very un-Christian attitudes himself! The cuckservative says "this much degradation and no more!" as if there were something universal and transcendent about his position.

He forgets how "religious conservatives" were willing to sell out their orthodoxy to accept Mitt Romney in particular and Mormons in general as Christians if it meant a GOP president.

He fails to even understand the players if he thinks that the differences between Ms. Magazine and Playboy were anything but a squabble of who should lead their revolutionary movement of which they both were a part.

It's a standard way to perceive the world - two opposing forces must be connected by the same factors, only diametrically opposed.

Left must be countered by Right.

Up must be countered by Down.

So, he thinks feminists (inspired to change things by A, B, and C) are being opposed by Alt-Right (inspired by Z, Y, X).

Ross and the rest think they are L, M, N, O.

Of course. This is nothing new. I left the USA 20 years ago because I saw what's happening In the USA now coming and every single American to whom I spoke at the time considered me crazy and paranoid. Granted, I did NOT see the Merkel-sponsored invasion of Europe coming, but then, no one did.

It does not surprise me in the slightest that many people still can't see that the current situation is unstable and untenable even in the fairly short term, or that the West is in serious self-inflicted decline.

Blogger EscapeVelocity August 18, 2016 8:41 AM

Ross Douthat was a lower class Irish White that was allowed into the Elite, and he genuflects to their moral superiority constantly, like he does in this article...where he intimates that anybody who is fighting Feminism is a loser, sexist, misogynist.

He glossed over that Feminism already defeated Christianity (and that is part of the reason for Christianity's continued decline).

This is why people like Ross Douthat are called >cuckservatives<. They arent really fighting anymore, but negotiating their place in a future where they are a marginalized minotiry, fighting for table scraps from their masters. (In Ross' case, from the NYTimes)

But back to Ross' humble beginnings. That is why Ross will never actually challenge The System, in any meaningful way. He's been accepted to the Elite table, even if as a pet eunuch...and he is just happy that he is not the "hoi polloi."

Ross has his 30 pieces of silver, and thus will genuflect to the Cultural Marxist Pope.

I've been somewhat surprised where I've seen it take root, even among groups that I know have no intellectual or casual connection to the Alt-Right.

I have poor relatives who are making serious and intelligent prepping plans and fairly affluent relatives who are full throated Trump supporters. They both see the horizon and know there's a lot at risk and in play.

At the same time, I have non-relatives who almost never touch the internet (strange, but there's a good many people living modern lives who just aren't into the internet) who also have a sense something very bad is on the way.

Could be location/selection bias, in a way. I grew up around like-minded people, so they would have similar reactions. I hang out with people somewhat like me, so the same.

Discriminate or die.

Discriminate between the honest and the dishonest. Loyal and disloyal. Liars and truth tellers. Discriminate between men trying to feed a family and women trying to indulge a status quest. Discriminate between people who speak your language, honour your freedom, worship your God, The Actual God, and heathens, idolators, blasphemers, and the lost. Discriminate between children and adults, the old and frail and the young and able. Discriminate between the wise and foold, the hard working and the lazy, the diligent and the slothful, the caring and the uncaring, the generous and the greedy, the insightful and the stupid.

ie. do what has been done for 6000 years and works. Do it again and again and again until God says stop.

This is empiricism, reality, gravity, the rule of law, the history of the World, the future of mankind.

But top the list off with discriminate between Jesus and anti- Christs. It's eternal.

I started as a liberal because I was young and stupid and didn't know any better than to follow my Boomer parents' example.

I became a Conservative when I realized that as a white male the Democrats were never going to operate in my interest and instead would take from me until I died.

I became a shitlord when I realized that conservatives don't actually stand for anything and only fight against what purport to believe in.

Looking back on it all, I have to wonder... where is the next generation of "conservatives" going to come from? From what pool of youths are they going to pull the next token opposition to unchecked liberalism? Do they not realize that conservatism is dead?

The alt-right may or may not succeed, I'm certain that within 20 years no one will remember what a "conservative" was.

WTF.

"Men's sexual revolution?" Is this guy a moron? The sexual revolution is 100% women's. And 100% toxic. Is he entirely unaware of the collegiate Alpha Carousel?

Guy goes to college. Tries to find girls interested in him. Struggles.

Girl goes to college. Gets on pill. Spends weekends hunting the most Alpha available at that moment (if he's a black athlete, so much the better.) Kneels down and is happy up until he invites his roommate for sloppy seconds. Rinse and repeat.

Some sexual revolution.

The Alt-Right is a reaction to the metastasizing vices visible at every point of the compass, all encouraged by the LUNATIC Left and its Rubber Stamp Opposition, RINO-Cuck, Inc.

The Alt-Right is a coalition of men and women dismayed and appalled at the pathological society that emerged during the Greatest Credit Bubble Delusion, a time when the only rule is "NO RULES," and the only standard is, "STANDARDS ARE INTOLERABLY INTOLERANT."

Such men and women recognize the thought-leaders of this toxic swamp as arrayed against them, and against especially their children.

Russ Douthat is utterly blind. The war isn't here to stay. Sooner or later, parents and grandparents will be pushed too far (if not already, the ship takes time to turn) and WAR will occur. Either America continues to die or the Alt-Right (or whatever title emerges) will literally destroy the people and their institutions that currently bludgeon us.

It had a mediocre opening, but the hype to make it big is what makes it seems much more like a bust. After the first weekend, I said it would make $125 million. It's on track for that, domestically. It wasn't "wizard prognostication." It was doing the maths after the opening (reduce each following week by 50% for six-eight weeks).

What I find irritating about Douhat's comment is that the "This should never have been made" crowd was right for all the reasons they stated. Calling them "mouthbreathers" only makes you look like King Cuck.

@2 The establishment's miscalculation: taking it for granted that American Whites, productive men in particular, will continue to put up with the program. They counted on us continuing to be the good sport in perpetuity.

Typical Marxists. They think Iintellectuals make the world go round, because those are the only people with whom they associate. It never occurs to them that eventually it all comes down to production.

Let me repeat something that everyone, from Fed FOMC members to every lecturer in every college seems to forget:

Only that which is produced can be consumed.

The credit bubble has deluded people into thinking this axiom does not apply, and that it is the money manipulators who pay the piper and call the tunes. NOT. SO.

When the productive reach the point where they withdraw their consent from the system, there are only two paths ahead:
1. Descent into chaos, barbarism, starvation and slaughter.
2. The old guard is kicked out, and new public policies emerge to reverse the decline.

I'm betting that at least in some regions of North America, the latter will emerge. Never forget that no one will miss a meal if the next Facebook never sees the light of day, while mass starvation occurs if all the plants making diesel (or natural gas) engines are shuttered.

I don't know which is most loathsome - that he trivializes the struggle for national survival as being a conflict between unfulfilled Rat Pack emulators and feminists, the smugness with which he self-consciously identifies as a moderate between these two groups or the fact that, like all cucks, he clearly sympathizes and is more comfortable with the left than what he characterizes as the alt right. Basically, he is just saying that the left should have been a tiny bit more moderate so that the far right, which we can all agree is the most horrible and scary thing, had not risen up.

I have a vague sense - from following the US election - of who Ross Douthat is.

I gather he's one of those tame conservatives the New York Times keeps like a pet, and from the looks of his gay little beard he probably figures himself an intellectual.

Which is why having to write this sort of bumfluff-picking nonsense probably eats away at his soul.

For there are - for once - real, profound, and important philosophical differences between the two candidates in this presidential election. Trump has put together the most extraordinary - and to the establishment, terrifying - immigration, foreign policy and economic platform since Pat Buchanan's heyday.

But Douthat is using his expensive Harvard education to churn out effete snark and queefy O tempora o mores! boilerplate of the sort that was already hackneyed when William F. Buckley was doing it.

Ross is keen on ad hominem attacks against Trump, so it's fair to compare the two men.

Unlike Trump, Douthat the True Conservative couldn't persuade his own wife to take his name. Why is that?

Trump has 5 children. How many do Ross Douthat and his career woman wife have?

Trump has - whether one agrees with his stances or not - put his neck on the line to offer the American people an alternative to dissolving in the acid bath of globalism. What personal risks has Douthat ever taken in his life?

Blogger Robert Divinity August 18, 2016 9:29 AM

Ten years ago, liberals pined for a post-religious right, a different culture war.

Obviously the globalist utopians/communists were perfectly satisified with the arrangement that had "conservatives" as opponents. They just told you otherwise, Ross. This is a battle they will lose in the long-haul and they are more frightened than you.

They will wring their hands right up until, and well into, the parts where blood is already being spilled daily. And not just on a few trains and shopping malls. You make good points but I disagree. This got accelerated in the United States due to any number of reasons. Much of it was unexpected. Among the reasons this has sped up are the economic collapse; disaster unfolding in Europe; Trump's exposure of the Banana Empire as a de facto and increasingly de jure police state; exploding minority on white violence that amounts to a unilateral war already; the advent of social media to cut through Luegenpresse; the implosion of "conservatism" and rapid rise of the Alt-Right; soon-to-be weekly terrorist attacks; and others too numerous to list.

People here are ahead of the curve but not to the large degree you posit. Events have unfolded quickly, and they are to the Alt-Right's benefit. I do expect a massive reaction from the old cuck/communist/globalist utopian alliance, but it lacks the bite it once had.

They view the Alt-Right as noisemakers, a boiling froth of irrelevancies, and refuse to acknowledge the reality of boots on the ground.

Ross Douthat's commentary and editorial opinions are at times interesting, but do not survive conflict with twenty armed men in the street.

Irrelevant and dramatic, you say?

Islam understands this dynamic. It is how they seize and hold territory.

Are men of the West any less capable?

What Douthat wants most in cultural battles of any kind is good manners and decorum. Jeb! was the perfect candidate for him, a person who would smile, be polite, and never swear while destroying the country with insane policies which would be described as "fair".

In fact, the good manners matter much, much more to Douthat than winning, which is why he's so eager for the Benedict Option. He's already conceded the battle and is looking for people to surrender gracefully like him and hide out until other, braver, men win it again down the road.

And once again, some Evangelical mouthbreather takes the opportunity to take a sideways swipe at his favorite bogeyman.

He forgets how "religious conservatives" were willing to sell out their orthodoxy to accept Mitt Romney in particular and Mormons in general as Christians if it meant a GOP president.

I just love how uneducated rubes know so much more about my religion and my beliefs that they can confidently assure me that, "No, I am sorry, but you are not a Christian." Just like a moderate, they can't bear to take on the other side without first getting some friendly fire in first.

Blind men stand on the shoulders of giants and see nothing.

Bastiat nailed all this 150 years ago with "What is seen, and what is unseen."

I know of few (near zero) people who can see past the wall of bovine complacency that pens people into seemingly tolerant-of-anything pathways.

Cucks & their masters look at whites knuckling under to their exponentially rising dump of insults and impositions and think, "Man, I can't believe these useless eunuch-slaves still take whatever we dish out." They gleefully redouble their efforts because 30-50 years of compounded leftism remains entirely uncontested (until now.)

(Fist pounds desk) This is ALL of ONE source: The toxic optimism of this 5th wave of Grand Supercycle proportion, which has led to the embrace of so many idiotic beliefs that I could spend a week chronicling them. The top DEVELOPED & EMBRACED them, and the rest CONSENTED in cud-chewing boredom.

This month, next year, heck (I don't know) next decade, this will end. The various pendulums are swung to such extremes (trying to teach children that boys can be girls just by saying so, for a prime example) that when the turn comes, it will truly be a "Wile E Coyote hangs in the air, then plunges vertically to splatter below" experience.

All we read in the "press" of any kind is 100% rehash of this blind belief in ONLY what is seen. People like Douthat are demonstrably blind (deaf and dumb) to the processes and cycles that underlie the last 30-50 years.

Such people are inveterate trend-followers. They will always be behind the curve of any trend change, they will always be fighting the last war, they will always be defenders of the dying Narrative. We learn nothing from them other than where we were, and we already knew that. They are the definition of lagging indicators.

Such people look like they're leading the parade only as long as the marching band doesn't switch direction. When it does so, all those "intellectuals" and "thought leaders" will turn out to be no more than clowns laughing their way down the wrong street.

Does he really not understand or does he prefer to dwell on the distractions? I don't even have a hunch there. If he dwells on what is really happening, Douhat has to acknowledge what he called "conservatism" failed tens of millions and the Alt-Right is poised to supersede his movement. I ran across a clip from an old film I hadn't seen before (following Instapundit chain links can be interesting.) It's called The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, and the relevant scene involves an old British general (Clive Candy below) whose radio speech about noble defeat is cut. His old friend Theo (German, anti-Nazi, opponent in WWI) then challenges him on his methods.

Clive Candy: I often thought, a fellow like me dies - special knowledge, all to waste. Well, am I dead? Does my knowledge count for nothing, eh? Experience? Skill? You tell me!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: It is a different knowledge they need now, Clive. The enemy is different, so you have to be different, too.
Clive Candy: Are you mad? I know what war is!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: I don't agree.
Clive Candy: You...!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: I read your broadcast up to the point where you describe the collapse of France. You commented on Nazi methods--foul fighting, bombing refugees, machine-gunning hospitals, lifeboats, lightships, bailed-out pilots--by saying that you despised them, that you would be ashamed to fight on their side and that you would sooner accept defeat than victory if it could only be won by those methods.
Clive Candy: So I would!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: Clive! If you let yourself be defeated by them, just because you are too fair to hit back the same way they hit at you, there won't be any methods *but* Nazi methods! If you preach the Rules of the Game while they use every foul and filthy trick against you, they will laugh at you! They'll think you're weak, decadent! I thought so myself in 1919!
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: [he pats Clive's shoulder] You mustn't mind me, an old alien, saying all this. But who can describe hydrophobia better than one who has been bitten - and is now immune.

Substitute "SJW" or "progressive" or your preferred label for "Nazi" in the above, and you get a good feel for the conservative v. alt-right battles of today.

(Link here if you'd like to see it. https://youtu.be/rEdBvQONtEY?t=3m35s )

Blogger slarrow August 18, 2016 11:27 AM

Oh, and a continuation from the scene. Again, substitute the relevant term for "Nazism".

Clive Candy: I heard all that in the last war! They fought foul then - and who won it?
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: I don't think you won it. We lost it -but you lost something, too. You forgot to learn the moral. Because victory was yours, you failed to learn your lesson twenty years ago and now you have to pay the school fees again. Some of you will learn quicker than the others, some of you will never learn it - because you've been educated to be a gentleman and a sportsman, in peace and in war. But Clive!
[tenderly]
Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff: Dear old Clive - this is not a gentleman's war. This time you're fighting for your very existence against the most devilish idea ever created by a human brain - Nazism. And if you lose, there won't be a return match next year... perhaps not even for a hundred years.

To simply dismiss the Alt-Right as some wacky ineffectual mood swing of the unwashed masses is irresponsible and potentially dangerous

Anonymous TheyCallMeDocterLove August 18, 2016 11:35 AM

Saw the last thread on conservatism and questions about the ideology of the Alt-right. I realize it's still inchoate, and trying to grok it myself. My apologies if this is OT, and for the Moldbugian length.

The Alt-Right: An attempt at First Principles

Nationalism

The alt-right stands for the absolute sovereignty of the state, defends the right of all nation states to limit trade, impose tariffs, and limit entry and citizenship as the people see fit.
The alt-right rejects the legitimacy of supernational unions imposed from the top-down such as the EU. We view them as both tyrannical, and apparently part of a scheme to concatenate these superstates into a single global state down the line.

Diversity

A polity is most orderly, harmonious, and happy when it has a genetically and culturally homogenous population. The Roseto Effect produces startling health benefits:
"Wolf, along with a sociologist named Bruhn, conducted a study and invited the entire population of Roseto to be tested. The results were astonishing. Virtually no one under 55 died of a heart attack; for men over 65, the death rate from heart attack was half that of the United States as a whole; and the death rate from all causes was 35% lower than it should have been. There was no suicide, no alcoholism, no drug addiction, and little crime to speak of. No one was on welfare and no one even suffered from peptic ulcers. These people died of old age. That’s it!"

The highest trust societies will be homogenous, you can have a place like Japan, where you can let your child , or even your pet penguin go shopping alone and they'll actually come back home safely.

Diversity creates a powerful centrifugal force, which at best leads to Fergusons and at worst leads to the evils attending political fracture, secession, and civil wars. This can be countered either with the carrot like in America, where the various groups are lulled by panem et circenses - or with the stick, as in the Soviet Union with things like the Golodomor, massive cullings and internal deportations of fissiparous minorities, and rolling tanks into the capital of any state that attempts to secede.
These measures delay political collapse of the polity, but ultimately all multicultural states go the way of Austria Hungary. The more even balanced the various demographic factions are numerically, the sooner collapse will come.

Anonymous TheyCallMeDocterLove August 18, 2016 11:36 AM

Race and Equality
Race exists, and is an entirely valid scientific concept. The word gene was coined in 1909 before we had actually discovered genes, the word was a placeholder for a then-unknown unit of heritability. Contra the claims of the Boas and Frankfurt schools, a concept can have massive scientific utility even if it's not 100% fleshed out yet.

Equality is a helpful abstraction in the realm of maths; beyond this it has no existence.
All races and both sexes have different genetic makeups and traits, and this can, and should be taken into account in the structuring of society.

Christianity

The alt-right acknowledges Christianity to be a massive improvement over all the religious memeplexes it displaced, and the optimal OS to use in organizing a Western nation-state. At the beginning of the last century 19/20ths of the surface of the earth was governed from Western capitals; this is due in no small part to the peculiar strengths afforded by Christianity. It has been the wellspring of our collective morality, and our innumerable artistic achievements, while avoiding the intellectually stultifying effects of hostile memeplexes like Islam (which had we embraced would have ground our insatiable scientific curiosity and advancement to nearly a halt). Whether an alt-right member is religiously-minded or not, we can all agree it's better that Schiller was penning An die Freude about Yahweh, instead of singing a paean to Wotan around the tribal campfire.

Maybe it's time to start pressuring the young into marriage and families again.

I do that to my two young adult daughters. Most people are horrified. I get preached at by youths half my age about how foolish I am. American society has largely rejected nature, by degree, with conservatives still holding to a few threads and liberals completely having let go. This has nothing to do with Trump or the alt right, but the stereotype of the alt right is so odd and not true from my experience, that I have a difficult time focusing on the words. Ross Douthat is pathetic; a man so thoroughly pozzed that even after he admits he doesn't like feminism he'll step forward with a sword to valiantly defend it from any that might threaten its forward march of "progress."

"This is where you find Trump’s strongest (and, yes, strangest) fans. He’s become the Daddy Alpha for every alpha-aspiring beta male, whose mix of moral liberation and misogyny keeps the Ring-a-Ding-Ding dream alive."

Leave aside that it was actually a gay Brit that popularized the "Daddy" moniker for Trump; what's worth noting is that he's so far gone that his functional definition for "misogyny" isn't much more than "anything that a woman, especially a feminist, might possibly dislike." This isn't a first time thing for him. My favorite example (though I'd have to waste money searching beyond the NYT paywall to find it) was a column he wrote on Arnold Schwarzenegger where he stated that the former governor's cast-of-thousands sexual history and current predilection for cheating on his wife were examples of his "misogyny." That's right, because when a man's going out of his way to squeeze more women into his life than most could ever hope to . . . it's an obvious sign that he actually loathes and despises women.

That makes a certain sort of sense if one supports a monogamous mating system rather than a polyamorous one. If the guy willfully splits his attention among many different women he may become unable to properly support a family with any one of them. Wherein feminist branches only support monogamy opportunistically instead of philosophically, it's still an exercise in tarring an opponent rather than providing robust criticism or instruction.

Both magazines were of the political left--neither could be considered on the political right, and certainly not conservative. At most, Playboy might have been considered libertarian (or libertine), of the "Live, and Let Live" variety--but that was old-school liberalism. For a smart guy, Douthat is pretty dumb.

Well, that's the gamma trifecta.

"I'm not virtue signalling!"
"There's no such thing as virtue-signalling!"
"In reality, you're the one virtue signalling!"

Still refusing to address any actual arguments there, Kurt? I dunno what they pay you, but you're not delivering value for money.

Joel, you yehudon, you are a living, breathing, ambulatory shondeh fur de goyim.

There is an easy-peasy answer, Joel: make aliyah. Rejoin your people and let them teach you what a real man--a real HEBREW man--is. Learn how to shoot and fight for your people. Let them turn you into a real Jew and not some p*ssy luftmensch. Your wife will respect you (for once). Your son will respect you too.

No one should care, because it's irrelevant, which is exactly why the accusation is thrown at us with such regularity: to make us stop advancing our agenda* and turn on ourselves.

*Our agenda = freedom. Freedom of expression, of association, of religion, to bear arms, to do or not do business with whomever you choose, etc. As long as a man is fighting for that, it doesn't matter one bit how many times he's said "nigger".

Further, once we have a state of freedom, it will be nigh impossible for any irrational individuals (including "racists", if that word has any meaning) to cause harm beyond the range of petty criminality. This would be a vast improvement over the massive damage done by irrational individuals with a stranglehold on state and corporate power that we've had for the last century.

Note, trick question here;
What word does Cardinal Schoenborn NOT use to describe racism? Note also, he refers to the discrimination in "fundamental personal rights".

So, sincere Catholics are allowed to think whatever they like in this regard, the damnable racists, but not allowed to discriminate on basic things.
Like sharing the Gospel, protecting from abortion, basic charity. Fundamental personal rights do not include, and have never included, the right to enter a foreign country, the right to public funds, the right to vote, the right to work in a foreign country.

Your "argument" such as it is, consists entirely of inability to make distinctions, to discriminate if you will, between reality and make-believe, truth and falsehood.

Then you can drop the charge of racism and focus on whatever poor treatment of people you are seeing.

But it really isn't as simple as how you are laying it out. More than skin color goes into what is often accused as racism.

I am a white woman, married to a white man and pregnant with a white baby. Am I racist because I refused to date black men?

Am I racist for wanting to live in a white neighborhood because I remember how the black kids treated my brothers, my classmates and neighborhood kids?

I don't think that makes me a bad Catholic. I am not required to be an equal opportunity date or put my children and family in what I deem an unsafe environment.

You would do well to figure out how He wants us to behave before you start directing others in accomplishing it. Your view of it seems to stall out at the "Jesus loves you, so be nice" you were taught in what passes for religion classes these days. Sadly, that is also the level most of our bishops and clergy operate at.

What the alt-right is about is saving Western Civilization. The fight has many fronts, and race is not even close to the most important.

Until you're red-pilled, most of it won't make sense. Once you understand that women are by their feminine nature, sluts, and decent human society cannot exist unless their sexuality is somehow controlled, suddenly social and religious tradition make a lot more sense.

America, what they "conserved" put an end to you.
I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song,
I wonder if there's anyone left to send it to.
We've seen fire and we've seen rain.
We've seen sunny days that when the world was on our side.
We've seen damned hard times, been taken for a ride,
but now it's like America has died.

HAve mercy on us, Jesus, You've got to help us make a stand.
You've just got to see us through another day.
Our hearts are aching and our time is at hand and we won't make it any other way.
We've seen fire and we've seen rain.
We've seen sunny days that when the world was on our side.
We've seen damned hard times, been taken for a ride,
but now it's like America has died.

Been walking my mind to an better time, my back turned towards the sun.
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around.
Our grandfathers' lives, their truth and their dreams,
Sweet dreams and fine machines in pieces on the ground.

We've seen fire and we've seen rain.
We've seen sunny days that when the world was on our side.
We've seen damned hard times, been taken for a ride,
but now it's like America has died.

South Africa might well be the future. Western civilisation dying, not with a bang but a whimper. White people seem to be prepared to endure anything rather than fight back.

It wasn't always this way. It turns out that the Second World War was not a war fought to defend civilisation. It was the war that destroyed our civilisation. It is impossible for white people to fight back because Hitler. Any white person who fights back must be a Nazi.

And it could so easily have been avoided. An utterly futile and unnecessary war.

John Wright, if you do cruise by this page again, I think it's important now to work with how the word has been co-opted.

Gay doesn't mean giddy with happiness anymore, nor brightly colored

Conservative doesn't mean what it used to.

Considered "traditional" as a word. The media now use it to mean something that might have only been happening twenty years.

Take the word "controversial"; the media now use this to mean anything opposing sodomy public schools.

When words are bullets we use them in their current effect context.

When Shakespeare "let" and you "let" two different things are happening.

Words are both precise and fuzzy and morphic/ meaning the boundary conditions are, sometimes, quite unclear - other time surgically precise, dividing bone and marrow.

Or maybe a Narrative that doesn't conform to reality doesn't have any explanatory power at all, and results in their inability to address the threat we represent to the Narrative.

Does Marxism and Nationalism/Ultra-Nationalism have anything in common?

Not in the least they share the empowerment of the state over any individual or group despite any founding safeguards by Declaration, Constitution and/or Natural Law. Whether by a select few or via vote of the democratic mob, the rights of the individual are encroached upon until nullified.

I suppose that even now, the concepts embodied by the U.S. Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, the application of "Natural Law" in a civil society with an economic foundation of capitalism are too "conservative" to preserve, protect and practice.
