Trump le révolutionnaire

C'est fantastique! Not only has the Master Persuader jujitsued Hillary's "deplorables" attack, but he's turned it into a revolutionary campaign banner.

Donald Trump unveiled a new visual campaign theme in Miami on Friday – a mashup of the Broadway musical 'Les Misérables' and an epithet Hillary Clinton leveled at his supporters one week ago. He took the stage, introduced by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, as the 'Les Mis' anthem 'Do You Hear the People Sing' blasted through loudspeakers.

The video screen behind the podium flashed to an artistic rendering of 'Les Deplorables,' complete with USA and 'Trump' flags replacing the French colors, and a bald eagle soaring over the revolutionary scene.

'Welcome to all of you deplorables!' Trump boomed as thousands screamed 'Trump! Trump! Trump!' and 'We love you!'

This is truly amazing. The US media wanted to free the Democrats of their Communist taint by switching the traditional colors used to denote the two major parties. Now the Republican candidate is openly running as a nationalist revolutionary.

And rick-rolling the treasonous Fourth Estate while he's at it:

Whether you support Trump or not, you have to admit he's pretty amazing at making the media dance along to his tune all while providing hours of complimentary media coverage.  But Trump's latest stunt has really stirred the mainstream media into a frenzy with CNN's Jake Tapper declaring "we all got Rick-Rolled" by Trump and Politico's Glenn Thrush tweeting "this is a f--king disgrace."

While the media was expecting Trump to make a statement about the "birther" issue and take questions from the press, what they actually got was 30 minutes of endorsements from decorated military generals and medal of honor recipients.  Finally, at the very end Trump made the following statement about Obama's citizenship and left the event without taking questions:
Hillary Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it.  President Barack Obama was born in the United States.  Period. Now we all want to get back to making America strong again.
The mainstream media, who were all salivating over the opportunity to divert attention from the myriad of Hillary scandals by instead attacking Trump at a live "press conference," were furious when they realized they had been played.

Trump, you magnificent bastard! If he handles America's enemies as adroitly as he has handled his political enemies, he may turn out to be one of America's greatest presidents.

But TPTB are pulling put every stop, every trick they have. Just this morning, I had a notification on my phone from Google-owned Youtube, "trending:First Lady Michelle Obama's speech..." Which I assume was the pro-Hillary one on Drudge yesterday. I don't remember the last time I got a notification from Youtube.
These next weeks are going to see the worst of the worst, new depths of villainy from the MSM and the converged tech companies, trying to bolster Hillary's supporters and demoralize Les Deplorables, and go after Trump every dirty way they can.

Blogger Ransom Smith September 17, 2016 8:15 AM

There were a few people complaining about this.

"Does Trump realize all these people died from that movie?"

I had to laugh. Dumb morons, who haven't read the Victor Hugo novel. Or know anything about the tensions before or after the June Rebellion.

Blogger Cataline Sergius September 17, 2016 8:23 AM

I said it before and I'll say it again, "the 2016 race is effectively over."

It ended when Hillary collapsed on video.

Trump has got the momentum at that this point. Yesterday's "news conference," greased the bobsled. Even the Cucks like watching the press get slapped.

Next month is when the October surprises will start to hit. And Hillary has nothing but skeletons in her closet.

The desperate shined through yesterday when David Brock offered bounty money for new dirt on Trump. I literally laughed out loud when I read that.

Blogger Tom Kratman September 17, 2016 8:44 AM

Orville, as everyone knows, Obama was born from a virgin test tube in a super secret lab somewhere in Siberia during the Cold War. His genetic makeup includes Lenin, Stalin, and Patrice Lumumba. The ovum was rescued from Rosa Luxemburg’s corpse by a dedicated member of the Spartakusbund who had been studying eugenics at Humboldt University in Berlin at the time. The ovum was frozen at the University but seized by Red Army troops on or about the 3rd of May, 1945. He was decanted sometime before the 4th of August, 1961, and the new baby brought to Hawaii by a special KGB-manned submarine, landed, and registered as native born. His notional mother was recruited expressly to raise him as a Red. She is not, in fact, dead but retired to a nice little dacha on the Black Sea. The cancer killed his grandmother story is a lie; George Soros had the poor old typical white woman killed lest she reveal the secret.

Ahem.

And you know, none of that nonsense is one whit more scurrilous than some of the absurdities directed at and about Sarah Palin.

It wasn't a campaign staff member that came up with it. It was a dank meme that got posted into Reddit and then got used by the Trump campaign.

You're missing the point. There are thousands of memes floating around. Someone on his staff spotted it, realized how effective it could be, and incorporated it into the campaign. It wouldn't surprise me if it was Donald Trump Jr. He is smart and he pays close attention to this stuff.

Blogger Orville September 17, 2016 8:55 AM

@17 Yes sir, I personally buy into the birther stuff, but it's now irrelevant. Trump squeezed every drop of blood from that turnip and then made Hillary and her press eat the pulpy remains.

I his short time, Trump has used the birther story to far more effect than anyone over the last 8 years who have delved into the fraudulent birth certificate and mama coal burner's CIA ties.

ANYONE who does that to the media has my vote. Can you imagine Jeb or Rubio doing that stunt?

I'm sure I'm not alone in that sentiment.

Donald Trump should next come on stage and either:

Say, "A good way to make money, ladies and gentlemen, find some dirt on me." Not even president, and already stimulating the economy!

I'm of the opinion that if anyone had the resources and connections to find dirt on Trump, it would've been Jeb Bush, with a brother who was a former president, and a father who was a former president and former head of the CIA. Either they found dirt, and Jeb (and all the other candidates) was too incompetent to use it, or there legitimately isn't any dirt on Donald Trump out there.

Or...

Trump should come out on stage pushing a wheelbarrow full of soil, and say, "I've found some dirt on me, pay up, David Brock."

That one could continue to emphasize the health and strength differences between him, and his elderly opponent.

Ya know, since I was a kid...a _small_ kid; 3-ish, I suppose, or maybe a bit less...I've been interested in music as a weapon. Rousseau, I think it was (and I was well over three before learning this, to be sure), said that if he could control the music of Europe he could control Europe. The sentiment has been echoed in other places and times by other people, and used by still more: "Die Fahne hoch..."

It's because Man is a rationalizing creature, not a rational one, an emotional and instinctive creature, far more than an intelligent one, and music reaches in and touches the soul of Man, which resides near his heart, not in his head.

We have our patriotic songs, of course, but we've had to share them with the left, which means not a syllable of any of them and has perverted the lyrics of several. (Think: "And we'll all feel gay...") We know it; they know it; and so the old songs have lost all meaning.

We've needed a new song for a while, and not just a parody; we've needed a song to reach in and touch hearts and grab souls. This...ya know...this could be it, the one we've been needing.

I'm looking forward to watching the Old Guard (3rd Infantry) marching through DC to it, at the inaugural parade.

By the way, for anyone who cares, I have my own little method of looking at the polls. Step 1 is to take the ten or so recent ones from realclearpolitics, then toss the RV polls. Step 2 is to tally up the size of all the poll survey. Step 3 is to weight each of the polls by their percentage against the total number surveyed. That, on a spreadsheet, turns into an effective plus or minus.

I mark Trump as up by just a little under one percent and fairly steadily rising, in the Trump v. Cunt polls. He's down by a similar percentage in the 4-candidate polls. I strongly encourage people to work on hammering a little sense into their favorite libertarians.

Preach it Col. Kratman.
Personally, I will believe Obama was born in the USA when the democrats actually live up to their party name. There was just too much demo effort to 'clean' up Obama's record. Especially in Hawaii with the PTB, democrats, refusing to permit his birth records to be examined. I don't know if they ever did, but it did give them time to try some tricks.
Yeah, I suppose Trump said what he had to. And, did it effectively. I say, if Obama was an illegal president then any and everything he signed into law could and should be repealed and himself suffer the fate of high treason. But, then, rule of law is only for us, the Deplorables, not the elites and powerful and rich.

I said to quite a few people after 2008, especially after the Wall Street bailouts that we will be lucky if we don't see politicians hung from lamp posts. 2008 was the culmination of a series of profoundly stupid actions by everyone involved, and they got bailed out.

I was less pessimistic about the US because of the vigorous political environment where heads are chopped off figuratively, and this is what this les Deplorables is about.

I suspect the ones who should be enjoying feeling their head still attached will totally miss the point.

I encourage everyone to watch the Ceausescu speech in Romania. A co worker watched the Clinton Trump Lauer show last week and there was a shot of Clinton leaving the auditorium, stopping and looking with that look.

Anonymous Elipe September 17, 2016 11:02 AM

Hillary violated one of the biggest rules of persuasion: don't use big or rarely used words.

"Deplorable" isn't one of these words that packs an emotional punch. It's too long, too many people haven't heard that word before, and if they have to look it up in the dictionary... it just makes them shrug. No rhetorical effect. It doesn't stir up any gut feelings.

But what Trump did here was taking bad rhetoric and turning it into really strong rhetoric against Hillary. It's not the word itself that Trump has made into good rhetoric. It's that Trump pointed out Hillary was attacking VOTERS, and then by putting himself under the same "Les Deplorables" umbrella as the ordinary American voter, he has turned it into a very strong rhetorical message of solidarity with the common man.

He didn't say "we're Trumpites" or something like that - that wouldn't be solidarity, that would be "You're with me." What he did was say "I'm with you."

Which makes me think about Hillary's slogan: "I'm with her." That's not really a good one either; it implies that Hillary expects you to bend to her will, not the other way around as you would expect in a genuine representative democracy. It's neutral rhetoric at best and bad rhetoric at worst: she's a tyrant that wants it her way or the highway.

Blogger Franz Lionheart September 17, 2016 11:12 AM

Poll-watching and exit-polling at every precinct will be critical to preventing their doing the same thing in the election, particularly precincts in swing states using machines with no paper trails. Now is the time to make arrangements to be part of monitoring the election, don't count on somebody else doing it, there's too much at stake.

Blogger Derek Kite September 17, 2016 11:20 AM

Trump's March on Washington.

This is the most fascinating election I have ever watched. I don't know how much Trump intellectualizes these things, I think he is more of a street fighter who sees weakness and responds, but also smart enough to surround himself with people who have different perspectives within the same framework. The classic political strategy, one the Clinton is using to the fullest extent possible, is to control. Control what is said, how it is said, who sees what and stomp on anyone who dares transgress.

Trump is not about control, this should be obvious. He is about harnessing, about riding the wild bronc. Not subdue, but direct.

I am starting to see this coalesce. Lucky people are ones who see an advantage fall in their lap and use it to the full. He sees the field as an entrenched power structure, the bureaucracy, media, political parties with unlimited access to money. In his experience, he translates that into MY money, entrenched is brittle and easy to circumvent, and the media as whores who will do what you say, even if you have to slap them around a bit.

Every movie in the US that is successful is about an outsider, someone small or insignificant and looked down upon, maybe with some skill or ability rising above. It is a classic story, the victory of the little guy, the beating of overwhelming odds.

There are lots of people, enormous numbers of people who fit this description in the US.

The over the top media mobbing in August defined the characters in this play. Trump is this character, and he is going to win as the unexpected, the looked down upon, the ignored, the disdained one who overcame the odds and beat the entrenched and lazy.

And he will have a crowd behind him looking for blood.

It really doesn't matter now. However...

A promotional booklet produced in 1991 by Barack Obama’s then-literary agency, Acton & Dystel, which touts Obama as “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.”

Obama’s biography in the booklet is as follows:

"Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.”

Who is Obama’s REAL father?

From following video: (Brother Nathanael was born and raised a Jew but became a Christian in college.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr0GY1xE3H8

"Now, why won’t Obama make it public? Because his original Passport would reveal his citizenship is from Indonesia, not America, that’s why.

You see, Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, when 17 and already a radical-leftist, moved with her parents from Seattle to Hawaii in 1960 where she enrolled at the University of Hawaii.

Now, Obama says that his mother married a fellow student, Barack Hussein Obama, a Kenyan, who Obama claims is his father.

But, Michelle Obama told NBC in July 2008 that Obama’s mother was “very single when she had him.”

And, according to the groundbreaking film, “Dreams from My Real Father,” it’s Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist agitator living in Hawaii in the 60’s, who sired baby-boy Obama and his political agenda.

The film shows racy pictures of Obama’s mother photographed by Davis indicating an intimate and illicit relationship between the two which soon found Ann Dunham pregnant with a bi-racial baby boy who she would name “Barry.”

Her parents, wishing to sever any connection between Davis and their pregnant daughter, ship her off to Blaine, Washington to her aunt. Soon she gives birth to Obama, most likely in a nearby Canadian maternity ward on August 4th, 1961.

Not surprisingly, Obama resembles Davis much more than he does the ‘made-to-order’ Kenyan father. Facial similarities between Davis and Obama abound striking and quite remarkable.

After a stint at the University of Washington, Ann Dunham moves back to Hawaii with little Barry and re-enrolls at the University of Hawaii where she meets and marries an Indonesian student named Lolo Soetoro in 1965.

In ‘67, Soetoro packs his family off to Indonesia and adopts Obama as his son so that he can attend public school there.

Thus, Obama’s original Passport would state “Indonesia” as its issuing country and “Barry Soetoro” as the citizen’s name."

I'll add that the location of Obama's birth is meaningless. Here's why...

Under Kenyan law, and child of a Kenyan national is a Kenyan citizen. There is no question that Obama's father was a Kenyan citizen, so he can claim Kenyan citizenship.

Under U.S. law, any person born in the United States is an American citizen...but so is a child born overseas to American parents. Which means Obama can make a defensible claim to U.S. citizenship through his mother, no matter whee he was born.

So we've got an infant with dual citizenship claims. The U.S. State Department doesn't recognize dual citizenship, not in an adult. You have to choose.

I'd bet money that Obama never officially picked, but applied to college as a foreign student. Which is why his college records are unobtanium. Because that application can be taken as a choice...one making Obama unable to be President.

If Trump wins the election, this needs to be investigated. It's not just the fraud, it's the two SCOTUS vacancies that immediately result.

66 - "Which makes me think about Hillary's slogan: "I'm with her." That's not really a good one either; it implies that Hillary expects you to bend to her will, not the other way around"

She probably didn't think it through to the end, though. I expect she was aiming for something akin to the line from that song up above: Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me? But it doesn't work for her. She tries to pose as the lonely hero, silhouetted against the sky, holding aloft a banner proclaiming... something. But a person whose every step is planned and choreographed, who's hedged about with protectors and crowd-control barriers, can't play the part of a daring leader. Even people who respond to her slogan can't actually "be with her", because they can't get within 200 feet of her.

I'm just revelling in Trump's ability to outmanoeuvre his opponents. He's like the Swamp Fox. And when Hillary sneers at his supporters, he doesn't just leave them to fend for themselves; he pins the sneer to his hat like a badge of honour and leads the return charge.

Trump simply stated that Hussein was born in the USA. Even most who doubt the Mocha Messiah's Nativity Tale admit the creature was hatched in the states. Dunham likely didn't have time to fly from Hawaii or Seattle (her last confirmed location) halfway around the planet to Kenya in the commercial planes available at the time (I rather doubt they would have given a pregnant woman passage on an SR-71). It does not mean the nativity story is true. As noted, it's pretty much a moot point by now. The most interesting thing is how Trump's simple statement got littlest chickenhawk to flip.

There's also incident of his five-hour detention by Russian authorities over passport anomalies (they accused him of being a "British Spy") while on a junket through Russia as junior Incitatus in 2005 with the infamous Repuke cucktard Richard Lugar, now well buried by the (((media))). I suspect the account of LES above might be something approaching the reality. In any case, betcha that Putin knows who Hussein's daddy be….

It's not so much the media were fooled, they were desperate for anything that could be used against Trump. Barely a month ago, everything Trump said was bad publicity. Of course, he thrived on negative energy. The difference was his sayings were hurting more than helping him. Now, everything is a net positive and the media needs the old Trump back. This will almost certainly rewrite the book on modern media political campaigning. Think of the add-on effects of Trump's minuscule ad buys. They must be missing out on hundreds of millions in revenue this year that they took for granted. We're probably going to see the heads rolling next fiscal year (figuratively for now). Ad buys could permanently shrink. They're guaranteed to be smaller in 2020 assuming Trump runs again (or anoints a successor to run due to age).

No. It isn't impossible, but they got the image from someone else.

Yeah, I blew that one. Next time read b4 write. More like- Trump & Co. saw that image and decided to run with it based on the reasons they crunched though above, + already had and loved the "The Deplorables" movie poster. "Les Deplorables" also has the Ollie North camera angle & flag going for it.

It's obvious that Michelle, Obama in his biography, and Kenyon grandma were mistaken on his birthplace. He only hid his records to be coy!😇

Let's go #Trump and hurry!

This is Bannon's influence. Bannon is just as clued in as Andrew Breitbart was about optics and playing the media.

Elections arent as much about policy wonkishness, as in branding and association, identity.

The July Revolution was about overthrowing corrupt tyranny and restoring the Constitutional limits upon govt...and it was waged by the Common Man.

Just a note. Hillary's new book Stronger Together sold less than 3,000 physical copies in it's first week of release.

I suspect she was going for the other rule, to use interesting and unexpected words, and didn't realize she was violating that.

Elipe wrote:Which makes me think about Hillary's slogan: "I'm with her." That's not really a good one either; it implies that Hillary expects you to bend to her will, not the other way around as you would expect in a genuine representative democracy. It's neutral rhetoric at best and bad rhetoric at worst: she's a tyrant that wants it her way or the highway.

What's really sick is that it was grassroots. The whole reason why we need to exist is because our opponents are so horrible, like that funny meme, Find a love that looks at you the way the press looks at Hillary.

I love this blog. Where else in the world can I find a running punning competition in the comments section? About crucifixion?

I used to hate that the Dems took "blue" as their color instead of "red", but now that the election seems to have come down to "red pill" vs "blue pill" I don't mind the Dems being the party of the blue pill.
