The Polish example

This speech in Poland by the God-Emperor sounds promising.
President Trump will ask other European nations to “take inspiration” from Poland, which has rejected refugee resettlement, in a speech later this week.

National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster told reporters Thursday that President Trump will deliver a speech in Warsaw’s Krasinski Square, which symbolizes Polish heroism. He is flying to Poland next Wednesday and stopping there before he attends the G20 summit in Hamburg.

McMaster said that Trump will deliver a “major speech” in which he will “praise Polish courage” and its “emergence as a European power.” The nation is currently ruled by a nationalist Christian party that has rejected refugee resettlement and mass immigration.
Of course, the President's message would be more meaningful if he would follow the Polish example and reject refugee resettlement and mass immigration in the USA too.

The Czech example isn't bad either:
The Czech parliament is working to liberalize the country’s gun laws, allowing people to better defend themselves. The reason for this new policy is safety, as well as practicality; in light of recent attacks in neighboring countries, the Czech government recognizes that disarming people puts them in danger, and that broad European gun control policies are ineffective. The Interior Minister said it best when he asked parliament to “show [him] a single terrorist attack in Europe perpetrated using a legally-owned weapon”.

I"m going to be charitable and assume there are reasons we don't know about yet as to why he has allowed the refugee program to continue. That said, I heard the number of refugees being allowed in was recently increased which is disturbing.

yes. I've noticed he does exactly the opposite of, 'speak softly and carry a big stick.' He talks a good game but seldom goes as far as he says he will. But then again, he's only getting started, and he's probably the most effective U.S. president since Nixon.

This has caused me some concern. I could see him avoiding this until he knows how the Supreme Court will come down on his modest travel ban. He is going to have do something with them, but it would be easier if they don't enshrine the right to be a refugee in law before he takes care of them.

The only downside to that strategy is that it's easy for people to miss how much progress there is. Just this week the travel ban went into effect, we got confirmation that Gorsuch is as good as the Left feared, the House passed the bill to crack down on sanctuary cities and raise penalties on repeat border-jumpers, California has gone bonkers and is doubling-down on trying to run the country, the election cheating investigation is underway and Democrat-controlled states are reacting predictably, various Obama/Clinton people are being called to testify about their various crimes....

....and CNN is trying to rebuild its reputation by bringing in Elmo to talk about how great Syrian children are.

And the week isn't over yet. A speech in Poland about how we need to take some tips from them on national security would cap it off nicely.

“[Poland's] emergence as a European power.”

As is the case with every nation, the Polish national character has its pluses and minuses. Avoidance of hubris is on the positive side of the ledger. Fanatical bravery in defense homeland, no impulse to rule the world. (Even the sea-to-sea Respublika was hands-off on subject national groups as far as empires go).

Any talk of being a European power is best taken as a friendly American president's rhetoric for Western consumption.

Whenever I feel the urge to start bashing Trump when his actions seemingly do not match his thetoric; I remind myself of the alternatives. What if Shrillary was giving this speech to the Poles? The screeching, the lecturing, the screechuring; ffs the audience would be shooting themselves.

She'd tell the Poles it was their duty as citizens of the world to open their borders and homes to all refugees and any resistance would show they are a horrible, nasty people.

Same for Jeb or Ted or Marco. It would all be the same globalist nonsense.

Blogger szopen June 30, 2017 1:52 PM

Polish example is not that encouragin, actually. Last poll is only 70% against the refugees. The opposition in the last poll (basically, EU whores) for the first time started to have a chance to form a winning coalition, if they would only unite.

Also, I already read bunch of idiots on FB and elsewhere who are encouraging themselves to go and sabotage Trump's visit. There is one group calling themselves "citizens of The Republic" (Obywatele RP) who are quite likely to try to disrupt the visit. Not to mention Germany is near, so some groups from Germany can try to cause troubles (we had one example in the past, when German anti-fascist went to Poland and Attacked group of reenactors during Polish Independence Day...).

Also be warned that the big cities (where Trump will be visiting) are still stronghold of cosmopolitans and compradorian elites, who think that if they will allow EU to f* them in their arses, they will be finally accepted as part of big, European family.

Blogger szopen June 30, 2017 1:54 PM

Also "great power" is not likely. We have catastrophic demographic situation. Also, current party is introducing bunch of welfare programs. In other news, apparently Trump is ready to place Tariffs on steel and perhaps other things (and his cabinet seems as upset as Joe and Mika). Also Texas will expand the lawsuit that overturned DAPA to do DACA, to Trump can say "I just have to do what the courts want" when it is overturned. The tweets are more brilliant because few are noticing Trump, is again, controlling the narrative by having the media, the cucks, and the rest run around making a big fuss about something insubstantial.

Like his yarmulke at the wailing wall, he signaled like a big flashing neon sign and it took a couple of weeks for even Breitbart to notice the Embassy isn't moving to Jerusalem.

Anti-cuckservative like Bush who talked right but didn't act. Trump signals left - either to create an annoyance cascade or do something that shuts the opposition up for a while (like the meaningless Syria cruise missile thing), and while everyone is busy covering the signal, Trump runs the ball across the field into the goal zone.

Now after talking with Rand Paul, with Sasse's concurrence, it looks like a split bill with a repeal, and a replace separately (note to Trump, if you aren't already 3 steps ahead in 4D chess, veto the replacement).

As to Poland, where's my great grand-father's passport again? While my current plans are to help fight for secession or deportation or whatever it is, if I'm the one that has to go back, well, Poland is one of those quiet shining cities on the hill, the people don't brag but get a lot of stuff done in preserving Christendom. St. John Paul II, pray for us. Solidarnosc! With Hungary, the Czeck republic, and others, Trump can form a true free trade zone with people that believe in fair play.

There is still sanity in this world. Poland has come out publicly. Trump still has to play some games, but he is the master.

Blogger Cail Corishev June 30, 2017 2:42 PM

Without researching it at all, common sense tells me that the "charities" running the refugee scam have kicked operations into high gear, trying to get as many clients as possible through the door before they get shut down. They know it'll be harder to kick people out than to block new ones coming in, so it's to their benefit to keep them moving at top speed. Once they get a person on American soil and into their housing placement and fake job training programs and such, they keep getting paid for all that, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're bringing people in "on spec," figuring it'll pay off later. Not to mention their ideological commitment.

That's not an excuse; and yes, it needs to be shut down entirely. But I'm not surprised that the numbers are up in the meantime.

Blogger Elder Son June 30, 2017 2:43 PM

Trump has made remarkable progress in barely over 5 months, but he has major obstacles to overcome in about 5-10 Republican Senators who just don't understand the importance of winning, or who simply agree with the Democrats on immigration and financial issues. But he keeps relentlessly beating the drum. Instead of constant griping that he hasn't yet gone far enough or fast enough, we should celebrate the progress that has been made.

Also, there are a couple of recent developments that portend good things. Rand Paul and Tedder Cruz have convinced Trump to back a true repeal if the current Senate bill fails, and address "replacement" later. That is a best case scenario because it would be a true repeal, and we can vigorously oppose any future replacement bills.

Also, ten Attorneys-General and the governor of Idaho have promised to sue Trump, Sessions and Kelly if DACA is not rescinded. Trump's submission to the courts in the travel ban laid the groundwork for his administration to submit to a court order suspending DACA. That allows Trump to get around complaints from the wimpy Republicans who want more immigration.

Now, about those H-1B's...

This is common myth, because we are so get used to our spelling that we do not notice some weird things. In fact, every written word can be read only in one way. But spoken words are not written exactly as they are pronounced. For example, every last consonant is devoiced, so we write "chód" but we read "chót". There is also devoicing in some other situations ("jabłko" is read actually "japko"). Moreover, there is "rz-ż" and "ó-u" which are purely for historical reasons ("Chełm" and "hełm" are prononounced exactly the same except in some dialects, but are two different words). Then there are also nasal vowels, which sometimes lose nasality, and sometimes some vowels get nasal (a lto of people prononounce "sens" as "sęs", but "się" is pronounced as "sie"). However, grownups usually do not notice that. Only when kids learn to write and you see how they write down the words you realise that it is not correct "you write everything the way you hear it".

Unfortunately, Trump has to go to war with the army he has, which is largely composed of cuckservative weaklings. There are different ways of dealing with people like this, and I think he's decided against terrifying them into compliance, at least for now. I think he's using this time to show them that nothing bad will happen to them if they support him. He's getting things done, repealing regulations, carving back the refugee con game, and the world hasn't collapsed. In particular, nothing has happened to THEM, which is what they care about the most. I think he's trying to demonstrate that there are benefits to being on his side, and hoping some of them will toughen up so he can use them when he needs to do harder stuff. If that fails, we might see punitive measures against some troublemakers in Congress, to scare the rest into line. But it's better if it doesn't come to that.

I watched the enthronement of Christ as King of Poland on youtube. Technically not necessary, but I'm sure the gesture is appreciated on high. Amazing that such a thing could occur even today.

@20 Cail Corishev
"the House passed the bill to crack down on sanctuary cities and raise penalties on repeat border-jumpers,"

That is incorrect.
The current US law, which has been on the books for decades, makes re-entering the USA after being deported a serious felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Kate's Law weakens the current law.
First, it cuts the penalty in HALF.
Secondly, it does not even apply UNLESS and UNTIL the illegal alien is charged with OTHER felonies. The current law applies, whether they have committed other crimes or not.

This Kate's Law is by no means a crackdown on re-entry criminals who have been deported. It cuts the maximum penalty in half and ONLY applies to those invaders who have added other crimes at the same time. Basically, Kate's Law LEGALIZES re-entry into the USA after being deported, if they have not committed other serious crimes.

Kate's Law is the biggest deception in years. Why would you suppose that the Democrats are willing to vote for it????
Same as always....it weakens the current laws and makes it easier for illegal aliens to avoid punishment.

@57 roadrage
"He {Nixon} killed the gold standard, and created fiat currency, for one thing."

That is incorrect...yet the Goldbugs keep chanting it for decades.
The Gold Standard ended long before Richard Nixon even thought about politics. Many countries abandoned the Gold Standard during the Great Depression. The fiat currency has been around in this country since the 1830s and especially during the Greenback Era of the Civil War. The most serious challenge to the Gold Standard in this country was Bimetalism and the monetization of silver. Very controversial in the late 19th century.

What Nixon DID in August 1971 was stop the French (and other countries) from emptying Fort Knox by suspending the ability of those countries to demand physical gold in payment for American currency. There had been a virtual gold rush, especially by our friends the French, to buy our gold at $32 per ounce....the price pegged for decades...with American currency obtained by trade. Nixon allowed the price of gold to float and it increased rapidly above the artificial (official) price. Nixon stopped the outflow of US gold to foreign central banks and allowed the price of gold to fluctuate with the market. Both of which were a good thing....ever since.

As to being a great power. The ruling party is too socialist for that. But they do seem to have decided to finish off the post-soviet, compradorian as szopen styles them, "elites" that to this very time have kept their degenerate stranglehold on our country. And that is a start definitely.

BTW the ridiculous returns from VAT and state treasury companies are due to cutting off the post-soviet deep state from its income sources and not because of some "maphiosos" deciding to pay their taxes at last

It's interesting how it all is gonna turn out. The last time the post-soviet deep state was messed with the Smolensk catastrophe hapened

I was told this by a Polish coworker who"s name I could not pronounce correctly.

English spelling is maybe the worst. Spanish a lot better, except for all the damn verb inflections.
