Google has feminism

And feminism is cancer. More inside information in Allum Bokhari's latest Rebels of Google series:
“The worst part isn’t the ‘diversity.'” says Gordon “It’s the “inclusion” – the banner under which they justify dangerous pseudosciences like unconscious bias and microaggressions, and try to make them company policy.”

Ideological conformity at Google, says Gordon, is “far worse” than James Damore’s viewpoint diversity memo indicates.

“Google is run like a religious cult. Conform and carry out the rituals, and you’ll be rewarded and praised; ask any uncomfortable questions or offend the wrong people, and the threats and public shaming will be swift and ruthless. The religion in this case is a kind of intersectional feminism, its central tenets are Diversity and Inclusion, its demonic enemy is Bias, and its purifying rituals include humiliating forms of “training” that resemble Maoist struggle sessions.”

“This might sound crazy to a lot of your readers, but college students should understand, since it’s a similar culture.”

According to Gordon, efforts to terrorize employees over identity politics come from both managers and rank-and-file Googlers.

“The agitation ranges from very subtle (“it’s not OK,” “we cannot stand for this,” “these are shitty opinions”) to quite overt (“this is violently offensive,” “I will not tolerate,” “I could not in good conscience assign anyone to work with you”).”

“I’ve seen around 20-30 managers agitating this way, each of whom is in charge of anywhere from a few dozen to over a thousand employees. There are some very high-level people who consider the progressive agenda to be more important than the success and mental health of their teams.”

“I can’t categorically say that it goes up to “the very top”. However, as you now already know from James’s unceremoniously quick firing, the top brass are either sympathetic to or afraid of the mob.”

Women have nearly won the Workplace War, and now it's to us to put up with their HR-soaked "culture" of jibber-jabber, backbiting, and strict social conformity, instead of them putting up with bottom-pinching and three-martini lunches. But perhaps they danced on our graves prematurely.

I don't think it is feminism as feminism is a symptom. Its being against Christ that's at the root. Feminism will just yield to Islam but both serve the same purpose as does Marxism. Feminists are just pawns being used by someone far over their heads in understanding how games are played.

I was this guy until I took the red pill. When I learned the power of deductive logic in college, I was enchanted. I, like Socrates, wanted to know the truth regardless of where it lead. And here were these pkwerful concepts of validity and soundness. If the form was valid and the premises true, the conclusion had to be true. What an amazing tool.

So when studying Aristotle, I ignored the lessons regarding rhetoric. I would make sure I wa affirming my antecedents and denying my consequent.

But Vox taught me a valuable lesson I had to learn the hard way: not everyone is convinced by the dialectical. Rhetoric is just as important. Some may only ne convinced with rhetoric.

Therefore, I submit that this guy is 1) thinking like an engineer, i.e trying to solve a problem, and 2) he is stuck in the dialectical mindset. It doesn't matter whether your logic is sound, the functional retarded have to convinced by other means.

On this whole Google thing, please allow me to reiterate things I've brought up before about essential problems with their core being. Note, the very interesting experience underway with Infogalactic is related when you think about it.

Google rose to prominence as a search engine. They never at any point, including today, had any great and mysterious Oz code base that ferreted out good and relevant websites by analyzing them. The important thing to understand about the Google algorithm is that the heart of it is, was, and still is, those who use the Internet. Google had the initial insight to simply watch them. They pre-emptively decided to abandon any attempt to analyze any page based on its potential worth. No, they decided to let YOU tell them!

The Google search algorithm ranks pages for worth based upon how many times users link to them. The users are the compute node. Google is, now and until this day, merely a tracker. It's a crowdsourcing kind of thing. Google seeks out the buzz, and will rank any page based upon how much buzz it created.

REPEAT: Google does NOT create the buzz. Google TRACKS the buzz. That is the Sacred Heart of the Google Algorithm.

The problem is how to monetize that? Well, they did it by selling attempts to direct the users here and there. Do you see the problem here? It's a Catch-22 problem. Every single time Google attempts to direct a user here or there, they dilute the effectiveness of their core algorithm. That algorithm REALLY DOES depend upon the free action of the user base. That algorithm's way of determining any site's worth is simply observing how many people use it.

Google works against itself in its current incarnation. If you can't remember the astonishing worth of a Google search result page from the year 1998 or so, you're missing something. Google WAS amazing. It was truly astounding how well Google coughed up well-ordered results with very high relevance to any search conceivable. Google no longer is that impressive, it is milquetoast. They cannot help that, no matter how many great and genius coders they add to tweak their algorithm. That's because the heart of it was never at any point genius code. No, again, the heart of it was YOU. The USERS. You are the compute node for Google. Your free action is what gives them power. YOU ARE GOOGLE'S ALGORITHM. Billions of you's.

Same kind of thing with Facebook, btw. If you are a Facebook user, you are a Facebook product. They are monetizing YOU.

But, anyway, this latest kerfuffle regarding Google only points out how far the company is truly lost and sliding into the danger zone. The very last thing, the VERY LAST THING, that Google can afford is to actively get involved with muscling or herding Internet users around. That is poison that will undo them.

But, they let SJWs in the door. And what do SJWs do?

Hard times ahead in Googleland!

Blogger tz August 09, 2017 9:37 PM

The most interesting thing is the self-immolation in the SJW dumpster where they are still adding gasoline.

Any sane company would take the shortest path to make this go away and off the news circuit. Instead, other than the eclipse or a NK nuke, Google will continue to be in the newsfeed this month and beyond, highlighting the red/blue divide.

The Googleperplexed.

All their SJW nonsense is going to be dragged into the sunlight where even the center-left will be repulsed.

I fell in love with logic in college as well. It became my primary focus then as I pursued a philosophy major, together with an econ degree and as many electives concerning classical history and culture that I could take.

I was flabbergasted that it was never taught in high school. Here was the most powerful tool for critical thinking and it had never even been mentioned before! There had been difficult courses in physics and anatomy and history and calculus, but absolutely nobody discussed even basic propositional logic. We were doing logical proofs in geometry classes in junior high, so why were students not being taught logic then as well? It gives me great pain now to know the answer.

I agree with your conclusions as well. He had identified a problem and pursued what he thought to be the most effective solution. He was very wrong.

They are emotionally stunted children who refuse to grow up! I hate them all!

"Ada Lovelace . . . she wrote algorithms that could theoretically have been carried out by a machine that was never actually built."

She made notes on a book she was translating, written by a male. One of those notes can be interpreted as an algorithm. It could also be interpreted as simply stating explicitly what that author had left implicit.

She was working directly under Babbage, and it is unclear what of her notes are her ideas or Babbage's that she merely recorded.

She was a very bright woman, bright enough to work under Babbage. Perhaps the story is correct, but no one really knows.

Not at all actually and the python community has been doubling down on the feminism ever since. The year following donglagate, Guido (founder of Python) took questions from women only, at the main pycon.

What do you expect from people who use a programming language where syntax is indent-sensitive? Best thing since COBOL.

In practice I have no problem with the indent system.

No explicit scoping, retarded class declaration syntax, and janky-ass situation-specific variable passing rules, on the other hand... that's pretty annoying. And it's a huge pain in the ass trying to hew to an 80 character limit while writing web apps, so I gave that up.

Python's still my favorite language for web apps, scripts, and any rapid prototyping, but I don't care much for the community around it, and I never worry about whether my code is "Pythonic".

Not as bad as the Ruby community.

They had a (ridiculously small) developers gathering at a local convention center not long ago and insisted that the male and female restrooms be re-signed gender neutral. The center complied but only for the restrooms on one side of the hall. Those on the opposite side maintained the standard male/female signage.

On our corporate intranet today;

Gender pronouns and why they're important.

Including, of course, the obligatory assertion that "mis-gendering" trans people is an act of violence. Preemptively justifying their planned violence against dissent.

No mention of whether misgendering other people is violence, or even if anyone who isn't trans is rrally people at all.

I need a new career.

That's a nice article! I see its written by someone who has at least a modicum of respect for VD - he engaged in open debate with him in the past.

I found it surprisingly neutral and fair for how media generally treats the alt-right.

Blogger mgh August 10, 2017 7:14 AM

#91 That was almost a pro-VD article. Enough details to cause many a curious conservative to look him up. Big win.

a deplorable rubberducky wrote:On this whole Google thing, please allow me to reiterate things I've brought up before about essential problems with their core being.

Ah but therein lies a particular rub and you're ignoring a very important figure. Eric Schmidt : https://infogalactic.com/info/Eric_Schmidt. If you bothered to read the book when "When Google Met Wikileaks" by Julian Assange you'll know that the real driver of who's running Google into the ground right now is none other than CEO Eric Schmidt, a man who's previous career was started during the final heydays and blowout of mainframe / Ma Bell Monopoly telecommunications in the US. And every single one of his maneuvers including the diversity hires is about one single basic bitch buzzword that is flying around all sectors of the tech industries right now. Enterprise. Which is usually codeword for "mah government infrastructure contracts". Yes Enterprise can also mean business to business transactions, but real bank is one or two endless budget government infrastructure contracts and your corp can be set for guaranteed revenues for a few years, because hey it's tax payer money paying for it. It's also all about encouraging specific tax breaking and making monopolistic practices to keep it's share of the pie, instead of producing innovative and successful neutral products to compete at the civilian level. Because guess what, those funky diversity hires? Massive tax credits for every woman they can get into the slave camps of the Goolag. All of the Youtube censorship? The EU market (which is still a massive market you do not want to be locked out of)? It basically means that they get there giant tax breaks amongst the Euro Poor countries and maybe get one or two (or maybe all) of their EU court charges massively dismissed. When all else fails VFM's think money, always think about the money involved.

And since the Obama era has outright wrecked the trust busting apparatus that the US once had, the tech landscape is now rapidly filling up with overly bloated companies that no longer feel the need to be innovative or compete on the open market. And for Eric Schmidt I suspect he feels that none of Google's innovations on either glasses to cars is really of any use compared to their algorithm work, or say owning and monopolizing the entire internet and social media advertising landscape and charging for rent . And unfortunately since Trump is mostly a guns and butter man, trying to tell him about why the whole big data monopoly is not a healthy way of having the net function in this manner is right now a confusing proposition for him (it probably also didn't help that most boomer Christians seemed to have bolted or simply chose not to take the reigns of most of the telecommunication sciences either).

Anyhow that's my ramble on this topic.

@57 a deplorable rubber ducky: That's how the polling industry came to grief. Once they'd driven off or buried from view a large enough size of the electorate, they no longer knew what they thought or where to find them. Hence, their predictions and temperature readings were fatally flawed. It doesn't take too many out-of-whack election results before people are questioning what use polls are at all, and automatically discounting whatever they say.

I've just dropped Google for Bing, which is surprisingly good, since the last time I tried them was over 10 years ago, when I found them hopeless. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Our website choices are now absent from Google's popularity calculations. If enough of us do this, the results are going to end up skewed to the left. So rightwing users of Google will become annoyed at having leftist choices shoved at them, and they'll abandon Google too. While leftists will continue on in their fool's paradise, believing that the whole world is as comfortably leftist as they are.

The shills do seem to be taking longer to react over the past few months. I'd guess either more things to react too or simple fatigue.

> Does anyone have any suggestions for which browser and/or search engine we should use?

Browser: Use Brave if it's supported on your system. Use Pale Moon if it's not.

Search Engine: Duck Duck Go, IXQuick/Startpage, or Bing. Bing has a loyal following here, but I trust Microsoft even less than I trust Google.

@93, Yes, government support definitely puts a new wrinkle on things. AltaVista and MySpace weren't bosom buddies with the feds when Google and Facebook came along to knock them off their perches. Now you not only have to build a better mousetrap; you have to sell it to people who are already being herded toward your competitor's mousetrap. It's a little like convincing people to homeschool when their property taxes are paying for the public school -- they need a really good reason.

Fortunately, SJW convergence guarantees that these companies will eat themselves, but government assistance will prop them up longer than they'd last otherwise.
