Matt Lauer gets Weinsteined

Is there anyone in the media who doesn't abuse their position to sexually harass women?
Matt Lauer was fired from NBC News on Wednesday after an employee filed a complaint about "inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace," the network announced. Savannah Guthrie made the announcement at the top of the "Today" show. Lauer has been the cornerstone of the program, one of the most profitable franchises on television, for two decades.

NBC News chairman Andrew Lack said in a memo to staff that it was the first complaint lodged against Lauer in his career at the network. But he said "we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."

Lauer was not immediately reachable for comment. An NBC News spokeswoman declined to comment about the details of the allegation against him. Reporters for The New York Times had been investigating Lauer for several weeks, according to sources who had been contacted by the Times.
It just keeps getting better. The Hollywood pedos must really be getting desperate. They're throwing anyone and everyone to the wolves in a futile attempt to distract the American public from their own crimes. That's fine. The more, the merrier!

But why are none of these monsters in jail yet? Why is Al Frankengroper still in the U.S. Senate?

The best consequence of all this is that the SJW-converged media is going to be a) increasingly female and b) increasingly irrelevant going forward.

UPDATE: ESPN says it is eliminating 150 studio and production employees as the sports broadcasting giant continues to shift its focus to a more digital future. The company says the layoffs, which were announced Wednesday morning in a memo to employees, don't include on-air talent and will have a minimal impact on the network's signature SportsCenter news program.

Translation: more layoffs, including on-air talent, are coming in the new year.

UPDATE: Still more winning!

NPR Chief News Editor David Sweeney has left the company following allegations of sexual harassment filed against him by at least three female journalists.

Do you think there's hope for the general public to ever be outraged enough to call for anyone's head?
So far it seems like there's an overall disinterest in these stories, when it comes to average people.

Also, out of topic, but is the Darkstream over?

One has to wonder if Team Hillary had anything to do with taking out Lauer. He'd better stay away from nail guns just in case.

On the larger point, the Night of the Long Claws continues as the feminazis take out their allies in order to gain control of the party apparatus. Soon, we'll have the All Bitch Channel, the Nasty Bitch Channel, and the Confused Bint Station on the air. In other words, all View, all the time. Quite the opportunity for the Topless News Network to be created and take the viewers.

A career that spanned three decades, all of his accomplishments in go up in smoke. What a way to go. That I think has got to be the worst thing about all of this, the lasting impression that men like Lauer, Rose and O’Reilly leave on the world will be forever tarnished.

Blogger dc.sunsets November 29, 2017 8:27 AM

All of this relates back to the Vox Popoli post on the Leninist organizational imperative of elevating to power only those who are least capable. White men need not apply (although one has to wonder whose butt Luis Gutierrez was pinching--quoting SecondCityCop blog.) If this continues long enough, the country will be ruled entirely by Crazy Hilleries.

Wisdom comes with recognition of the axioms that underlie human behavior. With each epiphany, a host of disjointed observations suddenly assemble into a coherent whole.

Younger Girl by John Sebastian:

She's one of those girls who
Seems to come in the Spring
One look in her eyes
And you'll forget everything
You had ready to say
And I saw her today, yeah

A younger girl keeps
Rolling cross my mind
No matter how much I try
I can't seem to leave
Her memory behind

A younger girl keeps
Rolling cross my mind

And should I hang around
Acting like her brother
In a few more years
They'd call us right for each other
But why, if I wait
I'll just die, yeah

Lauer's probably about the 5'10 range. Don't think that qualifies as tall, closer to "average". Of course, if the women around him are 5'4, it's tall.

I think Bill O'Reilly was in the 6'3/6'4 range.

Then to wake up to Laur getting canned. For a second, I thought I might be, possibly, tired of winning...but whew, that thought fled quickly.

The SJW'ery Left is eating their way through the remaining white overlords and their lackey's (Luis Gutierrez). My question is, will the remaining party be browns and blacks led by crazy white women, or a legit Kamala Harris type?

Someone posted earlier and they are right, just wait for women to start get taken down, lesbian or not. Accusations are convictions for them. Pocahantas better do what she is told.

With Amy Klobuchar as the model, an gal who is incumbent, and who never says or does anything controversial, is in for life. And it's just not possible that this governor would appoint a man. And while he might be inclined, he doesn't have the guts to appoint a TG.

We probably should separate out Hollywood, where this scandal started, from the media/Marxist project.

There is a very good chance China used the massive perversion in the entertainment industry as a means to take out the Jewish competition. The Chinese have a effective spy network throughout California and New York, largely focused on corporate/industrial espionage. While an eighth grader could have stumbled across this much filth, China very well may have put together a highly effective coordinated effort to destroy Weinstein and Company. Let's watch and see who buys the ruins.

What has happened to Marxist politicians and their propaganda organs may or may not be related. It also could be as simple as a pile on. Regardless, this is tremendous, society-altering stuff and has shaken the Deep State to its rotten core.

It's first and foremost about the money - in this case millions to rake off the top.

Blogger Thomas Henderson November 29, 2017 9:20 AM

Is there anyone in the media who doesn't abuse their position to sexually harass women?

No, because over the course of his career he's been able to get pussy that way.

Rape law, and its lesser affiliate sexual harassment, is a societal means to protect a woman's virtue, a commodity that once carried high value, for the healthy status of a wife and mother.

Lauer is high profiled and has had two wives, one who benefited from a lucrative divorce settlement. I don't think there has been any shortage of women willing to open up (think legs) to him.

The Left, in its rebellion against fathers and families, gave us promiscuous free love, which like a free lunch, isn't really free. It has cheapened all women, regardless of virtue, and has made groping and uninvited acts of sexual predatory behaviour difficult to define. The consequence has been to make rape and sexual harassment far more ambiguous than ever before.

Also, in the open sexual marketplace, the line between romantic overture and sexual aggression is blurred - making men vulnerable to accusations that don't need be proven to cause damage.

Ye reap what ye sow.

The feminization of the news continues. More feelz coming our way, pun intended.

Blogger Robert Coble November 29, 2017 9:21 AM

Another possibility: the lead picture on MSNBC of the Lauer firing was of Lauer sitting raptly attentive to Felonia von Pantsuit. What if this is just the continuation of "distancing" themselves from the Clintons before all the Russian collusion over Uranium One, the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, the Podesta pedophiles, etc. becomes a criminal matter as a result of Mueller's "witch hunt" (er, "investigation" wink-wink). Anonymous comeflywithme November 29, 2017 9:34 AM

This is a result of what is described in Posts #38 and #43.

What is described in #43 is what early father's rights/men's movement guys were talking about and further predicting--that Woodstock culture eventually leads to "can I take you out to dinner?" being an "assault". Alpha males have typically, as any guy knows, been able to do what he wanted (and even get cute, affirming responses). Trump described it in his pussy grabbing audio, Ben Affleck is seen doing it on that MTV clip with the girl on his lap (and she is loving it). Those were the rules. One woman's "OMG he's HAWT" was another woman's "wow, he's creepy/rapey". The problem is now, a "man's past" can come back to be used to involuntarily convert him from Alpha to thirsty, possibly rapey Gamma--when it suits the needs of TPTB.

As to Post #38, one wonders if, aware of what the CIA was doing with the feminist movement early on, it was not co-opted by the Soviets to destroy our culture (watch that clip of the defector describing exactly THAT in the '80s...someone help me out here). China may have seen this--Hollywood/DNC connection and perversion as a good entry point to spread the already inserted virus, deeper into the body Americana.

The Weinsteins of the world, don't go down unless someone wants them to, which can usually only be done by a competent competitor, close or near in social rank, resources or networking ability (e/g a state actor possibly).

Blogger Brian O'Brien November 29, 2017 9:34 AM

Just to throw in my two cents. I don't think this is all coincidence.

The mainstream media is highly centralized and controlled by a handful of people. It's a main pillar of the global power structure. Most of these accusations are without evidence, but all you need to do is amplify the accusations in the media, throw in a lot of innuendo and you can destroy the person's reputation.

Here is my speculation on why this is happening: Trump used the sexual predator card against Clinton. The media then turned around and doubled down and made Trump into the molester. But it didn't work and he wins the presidency. The media continues to attack him relentlessly and he wants revenge. He cuts a deal on Iran with Netanyahu. Netanyahu then uses his influence in the American media to take down a few of Trump's critics. The Mossad has dirt on all these people as those with corrupted characters and dark stains in their pasts are often promoted into positions of influence. This is so they can be controlled and taken down at will. Thus, the sudden downfall of media figures like Harvey Weinstein, Charlie Rose and Matt Lauer. Nobody truly consequential but it is a shot across the bow and probably gives Trump some satisfaction.

A TV special is coming out this Sunday about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. We've already seen a few articles about Bill and how he shouldn't get a pass. His reputation is hanging by a thread.

We'll know things are really serious when we start to hear about Obama. The Huffington Post reported last night that Trump is still looking into the birth certificate issue. But that may be a bridge too far.

Here are more of my thoughts on how the media works: The tyranny of the media

Blogger Groggy November 29, 2017 9:38 AM

But he said "we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."

I wonder what sorts of standards of evidence were followed. I wonder whether they meet legal standards. I wonder whether the accused had the opportunity to present counter-evidence to be weighed in the balance by an impartial and unbiased jury.

The people making these decisions (the corporate management) will always just throw the person overboard because that is their interest and that is their way to virtue-signal and wash their hands of any risk of being tainted.

This is not seem to rise to the level of justice in my opinion.

Blogger SDaly November 29, 2017 9:39 AM

There is no reason for a guy like Lauer to sexually harass women at work if it was only about sex. There are, literally, thousands of women in New York who would gladly have sex with him. He gets some thrill from knowing that the women *doesn't* want it, and that's what makes it sick.

The media has a long reach and a short attention span. It will never forgive itself if it leaves an easy stone unturned . . . although plenty of harder stones lie deeper in the forest untouched — nay: unnoticed at all.

Journalists know they aren’t trusted. The commercials on CNN (“This is an apple. Some people want you to believe it’s a banana.”) for their own trustworthiness are a stunning mistake in public relations. It’s like admitting they are “fake news.”

Wondering about different levels of feminism. Many women are not full-blown SJW, but the only thing that slightly wakes them up is if they have a young son they worry about. Their fear is almost palatable at all times. They really do not like the direction things are going, but they will not look, or as they say, "I don't want to hear it." They, also, would like to cling to the minority status that gives them all sorts of privilege and power over their husbands, who really are just an extra paycheck to them.

A huge wake-up call, I believe, will confront these normie married women in the next few months, which will be so startling that it may cause even more extreme disconnect with the actual world.

And that will not even be close to their final wake-up call.

A big part of the compensation for being a public leftie is that you get excused from their standards. I continue to think it's absurd that this is some sort of "get Trump" plan by the Democrats, because that is a price they will be personally unwilling to pay to get Trump.

Now, China or someone using this to make buying movie infrastructure cheaper at least makes some sort of sense.

My own theories have included wondering if the GEOTUS is somehow shaking these things free, and also just the possibility of a structural failure of the liberal deal I mentioned. The latter would mean that as liberalism continues to realize the value of victimhood higher and higher, eventually the liberals become unable to afford the payoff of silence against their own victimhood value, so the floodgates naturally open with no conspiracy at all. This would be a consequence of the fact that despite the fact they remain culturally dominant, they are also visibly weakening in their ability to pay off people, even as they continue to raise the value of victimhood.

I suggest this might be the best explanation of what is going on, because I think it best covers why do much of what is coming out is decades old. I expect Chinese or Mossad blackmail would probably focus a lot more on recent stuff.

Blogger Robert Divinity November 29, 2017 10:01 AM

That's observably untrue, although granted, the due process is much more painful than it should be. On the other hand, there are often settlements that are very painful for the accuser and the enablers both as a result. Exhibits A-E that publicly disprove your assertion:
A: Donald Trump
B: Roy Moore
C: Duke Lacross team

And don't discount the fact that the pendulum has to swing far enough to wake up the habitually torpid. That's the nature of inertia. Let it peak; it's observably building LOADS of momentum for the return of the patriarchy.

In a strange twist, leaving Pussy Grabber in the White House gives cover to Frankenstein in the Senate.

You might think Franken was following the "When they go low, we go high" but TRUMP was grabbing willing gold digger pussy, while Franken went higher with a passed out woman.

I still don't see how the Hollywood pedos can be responsible for giving the nod for this guy's fall.

No doubt like others here, I've been following the Q-Anon thing on 4Chan. Depending on how much of those leaks are true, it's plausible that the current takedowns are being done to prepare the normies for the truly revolting stuff that will follow.

I have a politically moderate friend I've been trying to red-pill for a couple of years, with very little success. Finally, during the last week, I had a significant break-through. With what? An article highlighting all off the Podesta coincidences in the Madeline McCann case. Aside from the fact that John and Tony match the faces of the suspects, when she saw the creepy artwork, including the sculptures based on Dahmer's victims, she was horrified and started digging deeper. She was out of touch for an hour or two and came back shocked. She said, "It's almost like Hollywood, media, and the government are engaged in some sort of conspiracy to hide all these things."

Bingo.

I couldn't help but wonder if all of these sexual scandals primed her eyes to finally notice and accept things that she'd been able to blissfully ignore until now.

Groggy,

You don't get it on a couple of levels:

1) Roy Moore was a test case, and throwing their own under the bus is two things
A) Operation "Broken Arrow," or throw some Leftist under the bus as an excuse to come out full force with smears against all non-deepstate Republicans in 2018.
B) A Feminist power move

2) Yes, we use their own rules against them, as in if they want to sacrifice their own without due process, then fine, let them. Yet, if they attack people on the Right force absolute proof and due process.

Perez actually signaled "Broken Arrow" for the next thing. They are desperate.

NPR Chief news editor David Sweeney is out.

one former NPR producer said that Sweeney unexpectedly kissed her in an encounter in 2002 while they were in a car on loan for a story. In 2007, an NPR journalist said that Sweeney attempted to kiss her when they went out for drinks to discuss her career. The two journalists spoke on condition they not be named.

A third journalist, NPR editor Lauren Hodges, said that Sweeney repeatedly made her the recipient of unwanted attention and unsolicited gifts while he was her supervisor in a way that made her deeply uncomfortable.

Yes, prep work for "the happening" would be a good motive for Trump ultimately being behind this stuff shaking loose.

Under this theory, trying to slime Moore and revive old Trump news isn't the driving factor, it's just a perfectly sensible and predictable (from a realpolitik perspective) attempt to recover a bit of utility from what is an otherwise unmitigated disaster for the left.

So, given it's a culture war, expect that some basic concepts of civilization are going to get broken and lost as a means to the end of making sure the European nations survive.

A couple things: Matt Lauer's behavior seems to have been well known in the community. Like Weinstein's. This morning on the radio they played a clip from an interview years ago with Katie Couric, his former cohost. Interviewer Andy Cohen lobbed a softball, touchy-feely humanizing question at her, "After all these years, what's the most annoying habit of Matt Lauer?" She shocked him with: "He was always grabbing my ass." And then they played a clip of that media critic dude (forget his name), from the Joe Scarborough show. He pretty much let it slip that there have been lots of rumors regarding Matt Lauer circulating through the industry over time.

Also, he revealed that some news organization was snooping around this Matt Lauer story, and this was known to NBC. Their boy Lauer was about to be exposed. So they got ahead of it. Once again just like Weinstein, the problem isn't that TPTB find out he's a monster. No, the problem is WE find out he's a monster.

That snoopy news outfit seems to be the New York Times, of all people. So, somebody at the NYT seems to be settling scores. The first was Harvey Weinstein. Now there's Matt Lauer. We do know that Hillary Clinton was raging and seething at Lauer over that town hall event with her and Trump. She did poorly, and because she's Hillary Clinton she placed all the blame on somebody else. Matt Lauer in this case (and Donna Brazile, btw, too). And the entire Democrat apparatus followed her example on that, Matt Lauer was a dirty word on the airwaves for a few days after that.

Somebody gave him his due. It's wonderful to see them eating their own like this. We need more!

@72 Robert Divinity

"Pizzagate", as invented by the media working to cover up the issue is false. There was never likely any children being run through Comet Ping Pong. Though the owner lied about there being a basement for whatever reason.

Finding Comet Ping Pong was like finding the Italian place all of the mobsters hang out at. The owner, who apparently does make a good pizza, is such a weak-looking soy-boy homosexual he makes Steve look straight in comparison that the worst he's likely guilty of would be hiring a prostitute. But everyone around that place? They deserve their lives put under a microscope because there's more than enough evidence of pedophilia signaling.

However, the big keys were that the competing, and also highly suspect, companies around CPP have owners that include Saudis and Nancy Pelosi. Then we figured out that "National Center for Missing & Exploited Children" is highly infiltrated. That's how the big players keep their cover, as there's clearly a defensive feedback loop that they have established. (This is actually how the Soviets managed to get so much information out of American Intelligence. They didn't need a lot of agents, they just needed a few highly placed ones to feedback information.)

As we've seen, throwing out utterly unfounded accusations of attacking children is perfectly acceptable to the Left, but they went all out to circle the wagons on that one. This is why they worked so hard to distract from it. It was a risk to a number of players.

Related, but John Podesta has a drug problem. Likely cocaine, though he appears to do other stuff as well.

Blogger Shimshon November 29, 2017 11:56 AM

The Deep State only has a few strategic thinkers, but they've got a lot of good tacticians with loads of experience. But they're also SJW-infested. There is a huge amount of Socio-Sexual Hierarchy to all of this.

Remember, no Man that's an A-lister/Sexiest Man Alive type has gone down yet. These are all Gammas or perverse Deltas. Which means there's a lot of score-settling from the Feminist wing of the SJWs. The NYT is also working to get ahead of the situation.

Last angle I can think of at the moment is that the Media world is shrinking, rapidly. Which means the NYT is playing the Zero-Sum Game with available dollars. If they're the only ones left standing, they'll be making money. Always remember that the Left actually can't create, they just ape the productive, so they can't actually expand their markets naturally.

Some of those same players or their allies are going down now, though. Here's what we know:

1. The accused either 'fess up immediately or remain silent. Hence, the reasonable assumption is the accused are guilty and know the charges are ironclad and can't be denied.
2. The number of powerful figures is staggering.
3. The revelations appear coordinated as to time and place.

The information likely was used to blackmail/control the subjects. So who is doing it, and why now? I don't think the Deep State surveillance apparatus was behind the original Hollywood busts as it would hurt the spectrum of Marxists/globalists. Again, Chinese intelligence may have started the show to advance its penetration of the entertainment industry. Regardless, the motive there likely was financial. It's not impossible the Deep State for some reason panicked and decided to discard its compromised media and political assets after the Hollywood business but it doesn't make sense, at least yet.
