Mailvox: t-shirt review

In light of all the previous discussion of one of the new Crypto.Fashion t-shirts, I thought an actual review of the shirt in question was pertinent:
The Cryptofashion t-shirt "That red dot on your chest means Daddy is watching" arrived and I brought it to my friend's house. It was a gift for her daughter. Dad is a God-fearing, classic alpha male, hunter, gun owner, with a long-term happy marriage and beautiful children. This was for his eldest daughter as a graduation gift along with a copy of SJWAL.

His wife took one look at the shirt and laughed with pleasure "That is PERFECT!"

Daughter loves it. The fabric is soft and the cut is feminine.

The normal, happily-married "my husband is awesome" response to this t-shirt is "too funny" and "I love it" from females. God knows what wheels go a-spinning in high strung males-ville, not being one myself.

Thanks for a great product.
The lesson, as always, is this: never, ever, listen to advice about women from Gamma males, no matter how "red-pilled" they claim to be. And pay no mind to the opinions of the childless about how you raise your children. They have literally no idea what they're talking about, nor does it even occur to them that this is more of a warning to pedos and other sexual predators than potential boyfriends.

At minimum, it was a fascinating look into many different cultural & hierarchical perspective differences.

Since I am done Christmas shopping, I will get one each for my daughter and wife and save it for Valentine's Day.

Blogger Anchorman December 20, 2017 8:31 AM

What about one for the sons to wear?

Blogger Jeff December 20, 2017 8:38 AM

Great shirt. Wish I could get one that said "Grandpa" instead of "Daddy".

Blogger Cubby8126 December 20, 2017 8:48 AM

Hey vox, do you know if krypto fashion ever got around to making the "my boyfriend is watching" version?

Blogger VD December 20, 2017 8:49 AM

Hey vox, do you know if krypto fashion ever got around to making the "my boyfriend is watching" version?

No, it did not. I think two variants are sufficient for now.

Huh

Blogger Cubby8126 December 20, 2017 8:55 AM

Alright fair enough. Keep up the good work.

Blogger Koanic December 20, 2017 9:05 AM

I don't recall anyone arguing that fathers, daughters and wives wouldn't love the shirt.

Blogger Al From Bay Shore December 20, 2017 9:06 AM

I'll be getting a second one. The size I got was off. I'll give the first as a gift to a friend. Don't mind giving the additional patronage to Crypto.

OT but I'm digging the updated cover of An Equation of Almost Infinite Complexity (Book of the Week)

Amazon is not showing an update available. Am I stuck with the old cover? Any help?

Blogger Dave December 20, 2017 9:20 AM

@11 just as I posted the cover on the Book of the Week reverted to the original?

Blogger VD December 20, 2017 9:41 AM

We'll be announcing the paperback version as soon as it becomes available on Amazon in 4-6 days. It will have the new cover. The Kindle version has already been updated with the new cover, but the javascript is still pulling the old cover for some reason.

Hi-res cover for An Equation of Almost Infinite Complexity

Blogger wreckage December 20, 2017 10:06 AM

Just started in on An Equation, it's actually pretty great. A little bit catch-22, a little bit... something with freaking bizarre, yet frighteningly real and hilarious dialogue.

I never followed the point you were trying to make about the controversy throwing some light on the cultural difference between Texas and everyplace else.

It is my personal favorite of the books we've published. Heller by way of Wodehouse, although I would compare it to Closing Time rather than Catch-22.

While typesetting it, I kept getting lost re-reading passages.

I wouldn't be caught dead with a girl that had this shirt on.

Blogger Dave December 20, 2017 10:43 AM

Thanks for the response and the hi-res jpg. It's an eye-catching design and color. Paperback coming soon! I'm in.

Now more good news would be to hear Mulrooney is finishing up another book.

Blogger Underdog December 20, 2017 10:43 AM

Ordered two for my daughters as Christmas presents. The material/cuts are great. They’ll love them.

He is at work on another large novel.

Call me mad, but I thought the reaction to the shirt was downright surprising, given how mainstream it is, really.
If it was like
"That red dot means YOU HAVE TO GO BACK"
or "civic nationalism has failed, and the end-point must be either reversed migration or a century of bloody house-to-house civil war"
then I would expect some controversy.

It seems that the shirt is a surgically-precise gamma detector.

Anonymous Pitcrew December 20, 2017 12:12 PM

@21
True, when you think about it more and more, the shirt is also a deterrent to vibrants who think they can pick up "snow bunnies". If you are in a foreign country being aggressive towards women is not being a good guest. That's a really big civic nationalism fail that that even occurs, much less the normalization of it by MSM, PCs, SJWs.

Anonymous Napoleon 12pdr December 20, 2017 12:16 PM

The shirt is fine. The rifle on the shirt probably should be changed on an annual basis...just for variety.

And maybe a shirt with the wording, "The dot that's not on your chest means my daddy has a .58 caliber rifle-musket." Or "Pennsylvania longrifle." Lots of variety here.

Anonymous a_peraspera December 20, 2017 12:16 PM

"the shirt is also a deterrent to vibrants"

Wut? You don't think vibrants understand that your government is there to protect THEM from YOU?

One of the funniest things I have seen is the picture of the jew professor with a BLACK LIEVES MATTER shirt on who got beat up by BLM. I know my WHITE LIVES MATTER shirt wont offend vibrants because reading it is a functional literacy test.

"The lesson, as always, is this: never, ever, listen to advice about women from Gamma males, no matter how "red-pilled" they claim to be."

Subjective statement with a lot of truth. Depends... Hear 'em Gammas out they often have some kind of semblance of good info just don't literally take their "advice" as "real advice" for relationships with women where it really counts for actual success. There's truth from everyone: the true lesson is *DISCERNMENT* of truth from false.

"And pay no mind to the opinions of the childless about how you raise your children."

Subjective based on truthful reasoning. If that was the case would you not follow the godly advice of a "childless man" as the Lord Jesus Christ or the apostle Paul? Assuming you mean people with no "biological children" of their own there's to take into account people with adopted children? Only a *PARENT* with the responsibility of taking care of the kid(s) is going to do what they need to do regardless of any other "person's advice".

"They have literally no idea what they're talking about, nor does it even occur to them that this is more of a warning to pedos and other sexual predators than potential boyfriends."

As *YOU ASSUME* other people would "read the same" Mr. Vox from *YOUR PERSPECTIVE* only... Tit-for-tat.

In actuality though, while this T-shirt is a "rightful warning" to the various "pedos and sexual predators" out there in the world who may see it this is also a "warning sign" for those said "potential boyfriends" you mentioned even though they're not the "intended targets" according to YOU.

The literal "real message" of the shirt is to *ALL MEN* who *ARE* potential predators of women UNLESS you mean the stipulation that "potential boyfriends" suited as "boyfriend-to-husband material" are NOT shafted into the "sexual predator" category among men already; then yeah, I'd agree with you on that.

Basically comes down to *INTENTIONS*: good or bad among men for how the shirt's message is received.

That said, as a single young man who knows and loves God and attempts to live by His Standards in "good intentions" towards his fellow man (i.e. "men and women") this shirt's message is lovingly-affectionate of any father's protective love of his daughter. A wholesome theme that must be accepted, respected and protected in society.

Surgically precise.

@22 Snidely Whiplash

Considering the rather varied responses, the shirt cuts along a lot of lines. Since I clicked the link to the original context, my impression was always skewed by the original quote being about protecting a younger child with long-range weaponry.

The "Texas Cultural Identity" set over at Dalrock's place was most fascinating. Apparently preening vanity with weaponry is a "thing", so their cultural response is different. This was definitely an illuminating event.

Blogger Anchorman December 20, 2017 1:13 PM

Shirts are simply more practical than magic rings.

Yet they all managed to dance around the obvious statement: that shirt, in a gun culture, is both warning *and* challenge.

But it's still very much a warning to everyone's favorite sociosexual collection of creeps.

Blogger dc.sunsets December 20, 2017 1:39 PM

The shirt is another page in the education manual I study, the one that reminds me that not all people see the world as I do.

I always thought it was self-evident that if someone brought harm (of any significant kind) to my kids that I'd drop them in a lake wearing 50 lbs of steel chain.

Anonymous Looking Glass December 20, 2017 2:23 PM

@33 dc.sunsets

Agreed. I, as well, have a hard time with those that can't grasp the reality that if I'll defend my family with lethal force I will also choose to do it proactively. This doesn't seem hard? It's not the "best day of your life!", but there's worse days than having to dispose of the corpse of someone that injured your family.

We're all the descendants of the Men that went over the hill and came back alive, there is always the possibility you'll need to summon that nature. And I talked to enough WW2 Vets in the past to know it isn't the worst thing for a Man to need to do. Only the twisted enjoy it, but it is what is it.

Anonymous Ages December 20, 2017 5:03 PM

The country has been in a cold civil war since, I would say, Bush’s election in 2000. The teams have evolved over time, but 2000-2003 really seems to be the point where the country broke down beyond repair, and the proto-SJW movement began. The underlying differences in worldview made themselves evident, and they are growing.

It is broken beyond repair at this point. Nothing, not even a cataclysmic national disaster short of nuclear war will reverse it. (Even that might not. Maybe a supervolcano.)

I’m not even saying that’s bad. Everyone should want to live in a country where there is the semblance of a common mindset and worldview.

Eventually the political victories won’t be enough to satisfy the masses and it will go hot.

Blogger Austin Ballast December 20, 2017 8:58 PM

Disagree with Vox and you are a gamma. Lots of logic behind that.

You are also a gamma if you don't go the murder/suicide route if your wife frivorces you. Right.

No room for disagreement here, unless you have known Vox for a long time. Sounds pretty much like those Vox criticizes.

The ones who originally disagreed with Vox on this issue, but AREN'T gammas, will let this latest post pass by without comment. Because they said their piece and don't have to be secret kings and be able to claim victory.

The gammas are not going to be able to resist a few more pokes, a few more jabs, a few more snarky comments.

A better shirt would have this:

Holy one unsung, you are the scum of his philosophy Will you ever learn that it is god who is the enemy? Step across our line from the divine and twisted beaten path Spewing forth in bullshit to your final fatal bleeding gasp What you have to say about your lord don't mean a thing to me Bash you fucking head in with the book of his insanity Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Who is your god? Ram your religion so far up your ass Till it becomes just a thing of the past Trample the cross and you cave into hate Bible basher I'm destroying your faith Blasphemous and vicious as I'm ripping you from head to toe There are those who wish you'd leave them the fuck alone In your face I spit to contradict your lord's integrity Time to admit, you are swimming in fantasy In a fit of rate, Satanic ways you will be crucified Bound and determined, your savior will die Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Bible Basher Who is your god? Stab your religion and leave it for dead Crush your insides with a touch of Satan You will succumb as did Adam and Eve Bible basher, I destroy your belief!
