Surrender, he cucked, cucklishly

Rod Dreher advises Christians to stop fighting the culture war, surrender, and hope that Democrats will be nice:
If we don’t stop it now, the Trumpist politics of “let’s tick off the liberals” is going to be devastating to religious liberty. The country as a whole is narrowly divided. As we saw last night in Alabama, it is possible to lose even safe Republican seats if what the party offers to voters is an embarrassing, bomb-throwing clown who only depresses Republican turnout and juices Democratic turnout. You simply cannot rely on the instincts of Republican voters to pull the lever for any yellow dog the party puts up. (And note well that it wasn’t the DC party that ran Roy Moore, but a plurality of Alabama Republican voters that put him in the race.) And you can’t live in such a bubble that you don’t pay attention to the effect your candidates have on incentivizing Democrats and Independents to vote against the GOP.

To repeat Lance Kinzer’s advice: Religious conservatives must be realistic about the fact that we are a minority in this country now, and that we face a very difficult political environment.
Almost makes you want to cheer for the lions, doesn't it. No wonder young men want nothing to do with Churchianity and the Gospel of Judeo-Christ. I certainly don't either.

Americans are a minority in the USA now too. But that doesn't mean they are going to stay that way.

I like Rod, but he's a little late to the concerned about "religious liberty" party, and he's finding the punch spiked a little stronger than he likes. People like him called others kooks and conspiracy nuts when they raised the alarms 20-30 years ago, some before that.

Lot's of Christians have lived as persecuted minorities, just not a lot of American ones. Many of them think they're so special that anytime the specter of persecution raises its head we once again hear a reee chorus of, "it's the end times, the return is near...."

American Christians are not the most special Christians ever, get over it.

How quaint. He thinks whether we "tick off the liberals" is going to make any difference in what they do to us. He'll probably still be arguing we should be nice to the guards at the re-education camps too.

It's time for a reset for the American church. Take it back to the basics (Acts 2:42) and stop trying to be "culturally relevant". Ignore the prior generation which insists that growth is a matter quantity which has lead to the tactics of cultural capitulation.

Easier said then done...time for me to get to work.

Once upon a time, I watched Martin Scorsese's Silence and thought it a particularly anti-Catholic movie, but anti-Christian generally. The gist is that you should sacrifice your character and sacred oaths if it'll alleviate immediate suffering for any fool reason.

The movie is the gospel of modern evil, really.

I understood why the pop culture types grudgingly/generally liked it. But seeing the 'No Flight 93' and such being trouted out by the Churchians right now... I'm like -

Moore lost because of a concerted media/Dem/GOPe (but I repeat myself) smear campaign.

Quite so. Per Roosh V, the two trigger words programmed into every American psyche are 'Rape' and 'Nazi'.

It's true too. Happened to me with Trump, and then I deprogrammed myself. It worked for Moore where it failed for Trump because the GOPe and Churchian leaders pulled out every stop to jam down the 'Rape' (Pedo-flavored) trigger as hard as they could.

One of the lessons here is that we need to speed up efforts to deprogram the normies. Hollywood Values is helping by way of emotional burnout like what happened to being called a "Racist", but couldn't hurt to nudge it along.

If you don't make a play for the moral level of war which is a dirty war by the way then you get the Drehers and the nice white suburbanites who just want to be thought of as nice people as they count their money and toys.

Reframe, flip the script, disqualify and discredit are techniques needed to be learned and used.

Speaking of discredit, has anyone asked that ass Anderson Cooper if he knows of any abuse of a minor(s) which he has kept quiet about? Dreher would never ask a question like that.

Anonymous DeplorableCodeMonkey December 13, 2017 1:05 PM

Congratulations, you self-righteous assholes. You allowed a man who supports partial birth abortion to get elected. Because appearances.

I don't give a damn if 100k people would blaspheme the entire trinity seven times and jump off a bridge if Roy Moore got elected. There was nothing about the man's positions that made supporting him a lesser of the two evils argument

"This is the thing that Trumpists don’t want to hear: the politics of substance-free populist outrage has its limits. If it can’t win in Alabama, its day is done. "

Even though he says in the next paragraph that this isn't a cal to return to the status quo, he needs to understand this is a special election in an off election year. He doesn't.

"But now that we’re about a year in to the Trump presidency, it’s clear that he has not delivered on the incredible opportunity history handed him. He has governed mostly as a corporate Republican, and carried on with such loudmouthed recklessness that he’s embarrassed and exhausted a lot conservative voters. Meanwhile, like Roy Moore, he has sent an electric shock through Democrats."

If the cucks in the House and Senate would do their jobs, he'd be getting more done.

"Nothing matters more than guarding the freedom of Christian institutions to nurture future generations in the faith. Given our political weakness, other objectives have to take a back seat. "

If you don't end third world immigration to this country, your Christian institutions will cease to exist under the crescent of Islam. Man this guy is an idiot.

"Because Christians need all the friends we can get, form partnerships with leaders across denominations and from non-Christian religions. And extend a hand of friendship to gays and lesbians who disagree with us but will stand up for our First Amendment right to be wrong."

The last group should've been included in Cox and Forkum's cartoon about Imaginary Creatures, which included moderate Muslims. Kinzer is a dope.

"I want you to consider that if the federal government barred government-backed student loans from going to religious colleges that, for reasons of conscience, discriminated in any way against LGBT students, most of those colleges would cease to exist. That’s how dependent many colleges and universities are on student loans. "

Let'em burn then. That includes my two alma-maters, if necessary.

"To repeat Lance Kinzer’s advice: Religious conservatives must be realistic about the fact that we are a minority in this country now, and that we face a very difficult political environment. Braying and praying for #MAGAmight feel good, but it’s going to cost us massively in this post-Christian landscape. In economics and society, people make the mistake of thinking a trend can go on forever simply because nothing "bad" seems to have happened.

The greatest credit inflation ever recorded isn't just about debt; the real story is 36 years of economic activity paid for by borrowing, so that tens of millions of people moved their lives into an economic structure that is DEAD without low interest rates and (seemingly) endless willingness to lend to the Gubermint.

The same holds true for society as a whole. The Equalist Cult put in place one "rule" after another these last 50 years, and people acted on them, embedding their lives in that paradigm (often embedding actions & experiences that RUINED their happiness.)

Who is STUPID enough to think that encouraging temporarily confused teens to "come out" tranny (or pansexual, or whatever faddish weirdness allows them to stand out, however temporarily) is helping them? [I know, we're surrounded by people that idiotic.]

Just as a 36 year buildup in debt (and the industries artificially stacked into card houses by it) bakes in an economic cataclysm, the phenomenally self-destructive actions these fads encourage individuals to take are stacking consequences to the moon and back.

I wish the turn would have already occurred. Each day that goes by without it, the hole in which we live just gets deeper. But there is no ignoring the effects of debt-fueled spending and equalist lunacy social fads. The problems created are cumulative.

(Does no one remember the Ted Cruz supporters accusing Trump of being infected with "New York Values" and being a secret liberal, who was going to hand the election to Hillary?)

THAT was Roy Moore and THAT was who lost the election last night. No doubt Bannon was there (in part) because the Ted Cruz/Religious Right did not stay home from the polls a year ago. He owed them his support because they came together behind Trump, while the NeverTrump RINO liberals wrote checks to Democrats.

Roy Moore was not someone I would normally support, since I am not of the Religious Right wing of the party. The sleazy women aside, Roy was not a good campaigner. He bet it all on religious messages....especially opposing abortion....which did not sell very well, even in evangelical Alabama.

No boys and girls. Bannon was not defeated last night, neither was Donald Trump. What you saw go down in flames last night was the very last political campaign by the Religious Right wing of the Republican party. ...

This is an excellent point. Moore is indeed one of the Religious Right and campaigned as if it were 1996. As Don pointed out in the remainder of the above post, the so-called 'Religious Right' has been heavily cucked since then. Many were worshippers of Judeo-Christ even in 1996. Now we see the Southern Baptists essentially saying it's not OK to be white, while endorsing black supremacists, rapefugee-resettlement, and the ultimate genocide of whites in the name of Judeo-Christ. Yes, it's a disaster but the point remains that there are way too may whites in places like AL who still fall for the lies spewed out from (((fake news))) and from their own pulpits every Sunday. Many stayed home yesterday - or voted for a character who supports even partial-birth abortion - while the enemy forces were busy busing in 'voters' from places as distant as St. Louis.

The temptation to try and bring blacks into the GOP fold is strong. I can imagine these nice, idyllic scenarios where someone like Trump starts addressing blacks directly, telling them that a strong economy is good for them, that jobs and opportunities will come.

And it's great to imagine this would resonate with blacks who would vote for the candidate offering them an opportunity to work for a living. Guaranteed, there are blacks this would work with.

The problem is, the GOP already gets their votes. And it's about 5%.

To understand the problem, take a long, hard look at Charles Barkley. He's successful. He's open-minded enough to understand criticism of the black community. And he's still a 'my people' guy who runs to the democrats saying 'You guys gotta do more for black people!'

Identity is first with him. It's first with most blacks. And the GOP can't win that bidding war.

He is not even remotely an ally, and if he was as smart and influential as he thinks, would be be a major enemy. Fortunately, he's not immune to the 30-point-IQ-gap problem and I think a lot of what he's doing still just slides over most people's heads, and not in some sort of "slipping the persuasion past the conscious mind way" but just in the "the audience can not compute that" way.

Bear in mind as you read him that he's basically putting his full intellect into deceiving you into doing something other than what you'd normally want.

Prior to publication of BLM-NY’s suggestions, I ran them past a prominent Republican to see what he thought. To my surprise, the prominent Republican — who shall remain nameless for now — told me BLM was thinking too small. So he offered as an alternative some bigger themes that I’ll share with you first because these are quite compatible with BLM’s priorities.

A Prominent Republican’s Vision for Improving Black Lives (because they matter):

Create safer neighborhoods to attract jobs and create optimism.
Fix school bureaucracies in communities where students are failing.
Create apprenticeships for unskilled adults
Address the opiod epidemic directly and by improving the environment.

The problem is, the only was to make Africanized 'hoods safer is either to cage, return to natural habitat or kill large dangerous wildlife that originated in Africa.
The school bureaucracies are jobs programs for Africans.
Apprenticeships only work if the African avoids it's instinct to chimp out - and has an IQ over 90.
More ''drug treatment programs'', like those will work. Another jobs program for Africans that got a ''college'' degree in ''black studies''.

Abortion is a non-issue for our purposes. What do we care if our enemies kill their own kids in the womb. We don't have to, and no one is forcing us to. It's a moral wrong, but we already know our enemies are amoral and won't obey the law anyway.

Guns? Yeah, they're still an issue, but only to the extent some people still need time to arm themselves. It's not like we'll be giving them up when they decide to try to take them away.

Let's look at Trump. Since his election, black (and hispanic) unemployment is down as the economic outlook has really turned around and lifted all boats. And there is A LOT more opportunity for improvement.

Anonymous Anonymous December 13, 2017 3:12 PM

(Just posted this in an older thread)

This was nothing but a defeat. It can be learned from, but it is a defeat.

What I think we are seeing in Alabama is an effort to overcome the byzantine general problem using social media. The truth of any claim is no longer relevant, whichever side is able to bring all of the parties for/against the candidate together at the most effective time to get their claim in front of the most eyes is the one that wins

That is from the day before the election. It's hard to prove that I was right but it appears that every group opposed to Moore successfully came together at just the right moment.

https://www.libertynation.com/dirty-doxing-threat-alabama/

Multiple groups like highway31now spontaneously appeared and began using voter intimidation and other tactics to humiliate and demoralize voters into staying home. How can I blame them? Coming out in support of Trump or Moore can end your career in your 20's even in Alabama.

Even if there was nothing revolutionary about the way the effort was coordinated, the composition of the groups opposed to Moore is telling. Churchianity has taken hold of the entire state. Baptist and non-denominational mega churches came out at the last minute and openly endorsed Jones to their congregations of thousands.

There was a group "GOP for Jones" which seemed to be organized and led entirely by UA alumni of all ages. It wouldn't surprise me if E.O. Wilson has laid the groundwork to turn his alma mater into a factory for churning out "unfundamentalized" Republican christians.

It's hard to wrap my head around all of this, but one thing is increasingly clear. Silicon Valley is by far the biggest internal threat this country faces. Social media has found it's way into the hands of even the poorest rural people in the deep south.

Anonymous Anonymous December 13, 2017 3:18 PM

Again, social media is the key here.

They know it, which is why they spent the past 18 months following Trump's ascendancy systematically rigging all platforms.

This special election is the end result of that.

For a while, the electorate was being informed instead of propagandized. Not anymore.

Blogger lowell houser December 13, 2017 3:19 PM

He's right about America being a post-Christian country. He's wrong about about everything else.

Roy Moore lost for one reason - he lost because he made his campaign about gay marriage and abortion, both of which are things that the white working class with children still in the house could not care less about. He's still fighting the culture war that the right wing lost in the 90's.

If Republicans want to win they need to do two things - 1) stop worrying about being called a racist, 2) double down on anti-immigration and anti-muslim sentiment. It's time to swallow that the decades of trying to bring in non-whites have been a complete waste of time and focus on the one group that actually WILL vote for you and do what they want. Welcome any of the oddballs from those groups but don't bother pandering to them or even pointing them out.

Also, if anything, Moore's bomb throwing HELPED him. As long as the bombs are thrown at the lefty MSM, DNC, RNC, they only help.

There are gays and lesbians like that. The problem is they are a subset of a subset which is already small. That can be balanced out if there were more Milo like guys, and Lucian seems to fit that mold.

The real problem is, while making allies outside of the Christian fold is great... I don't trust Dreher to be in charge of it. And the fact is, Trump himself is an example of Christians happily embracing someone who is on their side but outside the Christian religion. For Dreher, that's horrific. God continually shows me his goodness by bringing good out of every bad circumstance. With all this turmoil, with most of our cultural and political "leaders" revealing themselves as faithless cowards, betrayers, and servants of the enemy, I finally understand what Paul meant in Philippians when he said he found contentment in whatever circumstances he had.

Until recently, my contentment was so dependent on circumstances, that I almost never felt peace. Now? We're in the midst of such an obvious decline, carried along by forces that are so far beyond our control, that it has broken my attachment to this world. What no one can take from me is my love for and obedience to God. For the first time in my life, I am feeling what it is like to be content and free. Praise be to God.

In the larger picture, there is nothing new. The "Clinton archipeligo" is trying to import a new nation so that their progressive agenda is embedded. The taxpaying parts of the country resent such.

You're flat-out wrong. The Czechs aren't Christian any more. Also -- newsflash -- they don't let in immigrants, with the exception of Russia from its former satellite republics, and even that is causing problems.

Many Africans are Christian too. But they're hard-left when they move to a white country.

Trump has done a lot, and most of it in stealth mode. What he hasn't done so far is indict his enemies. Indicting would be a new pattern.

Trump had to know that the election would be stolen - the whole world knew that. My question is whether Trump is going to break his patterns and openly bring the long arm of the law crashing down on the heads of the very open criminals that he almost certainly has the goods on.

Trump's patterns have been pretty effective so far, so I'm not ready to give up on him or start second-guessing. On the other hand, if you play the long game too long, the short game can get you by the short hairs. I had an advisor, a game theorist, who said: ``If I can control the short term long enough, I never have to worry about the long term.''

I would surely like to see justice done and liberal criminals jailed. I just don't think Trump rolls that way, and I hope Trump's plan, what ever it is, works out for us.

Calling Trump a Zionist stooge because he "recognized" Jerusalem as Israels capital is just stupid and anti-Christian. It is the City of David, and Elohim Yahweh has put His name there forever.

Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples and will give this land to your offspring after you for an everlasting possession.

Yet to his son I will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put my name.

At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

OC,

Things needed to be done in stealth mode thus far, and perhaps a bit longer to prevent civil unrest that could bring everything down, but there are over 8500 sealed indictments so far (as of three days ago, and is supposed to get over 10,000 with a number for Treason). The God Emperor is attempting to take down their puppet masters first, while working on some minions in stealth.

The Puppet Masters are NOT HRC, BO, Senators, or Congress, as those are just high level puppets. Even those high up in the CIA are second-level puppet masters. The spider web is huge and global.

The Puppet Masters are recently, the Saudis, the Rothschilds, and Soros., with perhaps the highest levels of the CIA. A number of other high level families are also involed, butt not as high up as those mentioned.

Trump is at one end rolling up the minions, as in MS13, and low-level pedos, being arrested without fanfare, and at the same time he is working on exposing the highest level people , even to total normies, and the brainwashed TO TAKE THEM DOWN.

So, let me get this straight: Republicans did everything in their power to sabotage the Moore campaign. They did this because their enemies at the WaPo conjured an alleged "victim" out of the ether conveniently in time for elections. Now, having helped secure a Democrat win an a deeply Republican state, they are lamenting this loss. But, rather than this lamentation stemming from their own treachery, it's instead coming from their fear of what will happen when they lose even more. Does that sound about right?

These people have no intention of actually winning, no plan for if they still somehow do, and fear the democrat operatives in the media more than they do their own base.

In Moore's case their response should be: "Until we have a tangible evidence like Clinton's semen stains on Monica's dress, or a dead woman in the back of Kennedy's car, we're going to treat any accuser dredged up at the last minute by our democrat operatives at the Washington Post with suspicion". Of course, that'd take balls.
