The Ember War comes to Arkhaven

Richard Fox, the Dragon Award-winning author of the bestselling science fiction series THE EMBER WAR SAGA, has an announcement.
Exciting news! The Ember War will come to a comic store near you! The contract with the comic imprint (either Dark Legion or Arkhaven, publisher's choice) and fellow writer Jon Del Arroz (who'll do the prose to script work) are signed.
We're excited about this, as we've wanted to work with Richard for some time now. The first series will be five issues that cover the events of the initial book; there are currently 9 books in the series. We'll also have another announcement soon about a collaboration for Castalia House that is definitely going to be of serious interest to fans of a certain science fiction series that has already seen graphic adaptation.

Still winning.

Still not tired.

It is Happening = The culture wars, and I've been waiting forever for this.

I hope you can get Fox's Terran Armor Corps series as well.

So excited to be able to adapt Fox's book! He's one of my favorite authors and this is an incredible series. We have top tier art talent I hope to announce soon as wel!

Nice momentum.

I am impressed at the strides Arkhaven/Dark Legion is taking. Not tired of winning! I pray your authors and artists profit greatly from this. Keep on winning!

Oh yeah!

Only slightly OT: I know an excellent artist who is not overtly political but does have a grounded outlook, and I have been thinking of pointing him toward Castalia/Arkhaven. Now that the scope has changed from only Alt Hero to such a broad swathe of literature, I wonder if there is some good path for the following:
A) introducing him to the known efforts underway
B) guidance for preparing a portfolio or samples to present
C) a pathway to submit this portfolio.

All of this presupposes that Vox is still seeking good artists, and that my artist takes the bait.

I can still dangle the bait and arrange contact on my own, but if there is a preferred path, I'd like him to take it.

And if Vox says "Not needed", I won't bother.

Recently began reading the Ember War series (through the third book now). I'll be curious how the artists at Arkhaven envision it versus the picture that plays out in a reader's mind. Great pickup.

We're always looking for good illustrators and colorists.

When are you going to do the comic versions of my Hugo Award winning books?

Oh, yeah. They are already!

The DACA shit(hole) has me feeling SO apprehensive -- and then the Dark Lord and his works lift my spirits with more winning! Thank you!

Did Scalzi publish anything in the eligibility period that could be nominated for DragonCon 2018?

Would it be too cruel for some to nominate him if so?

Two concepts with no overlap capable or containing a meaning.

I'll be doing my best to try and swing Diversity&Comics, Capn Cummings, Douglas Ernst and JustSomeGuy to our side. The odd video comment, message here and there.

I'll put my extensive collector creds out there first so they at least know I'm not blowing smoke.

It's safe to assume they'll be looking for a lot of good talent.

I think "The Stars Came Back" would make a good comic. There's plenty of action.

Stoked about this - Del Arroz is good people. He's done good work going to bat for various facets and the people in geek culture this past year.

I hope it is either Amber or Ender.

Any possibility of working with Anspach/Cole on an adaptation of their Galaxy’s Edge series? Thanks to Castalia House blog I read the Ember Wars series. Hopefully the recent plugs/articles on the Galaxy’s Edge series indicates future collaboration.

Might I suggest Kratman, Correia, Ringo, Williamson, Dalzelle, Schlichter have story lines that would be well-suited to graphic novels.
