The FBI is the problem

What good would more gun control laws do when the FBI would ignore every reported violation of them anyhow?
FBI director must resign: Florida governor demands Fed head step down after Bureau reveals it did not investigate Nikolas Cruz despite being warned of stockpiled guns and desire to kill SIX Weeks before massacre.

The FBI released a statement on Friday revealing that a call came in alerting the agency about Nikolas Cruz being a possible threat in early January. 'The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts,' said Cruz. That same caller, who contacted the FBI on January 5 via their Public Access Line, also shared their belief that Cruz might conduct a school shooting  The FBI did not investigate despite the 'potential threat to life,' and failed to even alert the Miami field office about the call.

Governor Rick Scott of Florida is now calling on Christopher Wrey to resign as director of the FBI and parents of victims voiced their anger at funerals 'Seventeen innocent people are dead and acknowledging a mistake isn't going to cut it,' said Governor Scott.
Not only that, but police were called out to Cruz's house THIRTY-NINE times. So let's not pretend that the police are going to do one single thing to stop a messed-up lunatic like that, whether there was one more law or one hundred more laws on the books.

The police are not about protection or prevention. They are merely there to clean up after the fact and make the community feel as if the authorities are doing something.

Seems like the U.K. has similar issues, whether it be a lack of resources or incompetence, it is costing people their lives.

Prime Minister Theresa May has just told the House of Commons that Khalid Masood, the man who carried out the Westminster Bridge attack, was known to MI5 for years but had been dismissed as a "peripheral" figure.

Blogger Wadly February 16, 2018 5:17 PM

I have to wonder if these people aren't left alone by the Deep State on purpose to do their nefarious deeds. Great way to stir up mayhem and calls for government controls to further erode our liberties.

If the FBI, a law enforcement agency, knew and yet did nothing, does incompetence answer any question sufficiently as to placate any thought of "false flag" complicity by inaction? I do not consider the FBI to be incompetent when it comes to upper levels supporting Deep State.

Blogger Robert Browning February 16, 2018 5:27 PM

The FBI is hiding video evidence on Charlottesville too.

I have heard that the alphabet intelligent agencies actively encourage and enable Islamic 'lone wolves' (then arrest them as 'proof' they are doing their job), so your hypothesis is not far-fetched.

I would highly consider your hypothesis:

Blogger Jeffrey Johnson February 16, 2018 5:53 PM

The FBI's purpose in life is to enforce the will of the Deep State. If the FBI goes after you it is because the Deep State is unhappy with you.

I doubt the Director will end up the fall guy unless POTUS wants him gone. The field office certainly needs to answer for not investigating. Surely between all the diversity and inclusion seminars, they could've assigned a rookie field agent an hour to follow-up on the tip.

Blogger SciVo February 16, 2018 6:00 PM

It has already been demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that the FBI is not even anti-crime -- let alone pro-American -- e.g. by Pamela Geller's art show in Garland, TX. The Feds knew that the Muslim terrorists were planning a massacre and were even following them, and did nothing to stop them. It takes a remarkable capacity for rationalization for any thinking man to continue believing they're on our side.

That's still what, more than 5 times a year? At this point I don't think even massive incompetence could cause the problems we're having with the FBI/law enforcement in general.

It really does seem like they are allowing attacks like this for political reasons or to justify bigger budgets, etc. We're much further down the path to banana republic than I thought.

I truly do not know how the USA is even going to hold together for another generation or two. Maybe it is better that it ends sooner rather than later. Better that the burning times happen during my time than my children/grandchildren's.

The swamp is now drained and Mueller keeps his job, his friends.

Anonymous Anonymous February 16, 2018 6:50 PM

@tublecane: Exactly, how can people be so unfair. The FBI can't investigate everything. I mean what could possibly be more important than going after the Russians that stole the election for President Trump?

How can people be thinking of dead children when Hillary Clinton's destiny is on the line.

Blogger Thucydides February 16, 2018 6:52 PM

But the top media spin to the story was Cruz was member of a white supremacist group and wore a MAGA hat.

Until it suddenly wasn't

One of the charges is about some yard signs so 17 dead but the Feds are hot on the trail of some yard signs.

Blogger peter blandings February 16, 2018 7:43 PM

this same thing happened with the boston marathon bombers. the FBI were warned TWICE, a year in advance about the two brothers who committed the slaughter of americans on american soil. the interviewed them and then let them go and tore up the file. this is trump's chance to take down the FBI, but i doubt he'll use it. but if he doesn't use it, then it's almost a certainty that he is under threat.

If you know of a serious threat to the community, don't call the authorities and tell them he's a nut with a large cache of guns, a history of mental illness, and has threatened to shoot up the school that recently kicked him out. They don't have time for any of that penny-ante crap.

If you really want the guy dealt with before he hurts someone, tell the feds he's a hacker with Hillary's emails.

Not for the faint of heart. Be warned. If theories like in this article get out (that the Deep State is acting essentially like gangsters expanding and controlling turf), then things will get a lot worse, because these guys are very well-connected and won't go out easily. Very well funded as well.

When arguments are raised as to what to do, I really think people are missing the point without the religious aspect and, not to sound repetitive, but having a faith that God will expose and deal with evil is a reassuring and moderating influence. Of course, I would understand a man who has to take action when his situation leaves no other choice. But that last sentence comes with major caveats.

From the News or Online, I can't find that the doors of the school were locked/secured and access to the School limited by basic access method(s). It "seems" that anyone could walk right in off the street. Does anyone know differently? I responded to some of the gun control SJW Facebook Virtue Signalers and asked if their children's schools had locked door from the inside and/or procedures to escort visitors in the building...~50% said no. Hope they get in tough with their School Boards and get that fixed quickly. It doesn't take an act of Congress to lock or guard (stationed) 100% of the time a front door so people who may do harm get get in or limit any harm.

Crud, now I have to take Vigilant Citizen seriously ('he' pretty much espoused theories like your linked article and has done it for several years).

Does anyone know differently?

That situation seems odd.

My old high school in the suburbia of Oklahoma has stringent visitor procedures ever since Columbine. I visited one of my high teachers [he is a character reference and a good friend], and I was somewhat shocked at the level of paranoia (for reference, I have been to Eastern Europe and Singapore, and I've been going through a security checkout since I left high school for work).

The police are secretaries, after the fact, they write reports and file paperwork, as much on overtime as they can. That's safer than what the tv influenced fantasy suggests they're going to do when our lives are on the line.

Blogger bobby February 17, 2018 5:15 AM

Where were the local and state police? If they were called 39 times, they had to know something. Plus, where's the jurisdiction for the FBI in something like this?

Granted they should have passed the info along to the locals, or sent the source to them. But for the governor of the state where all of those local authorities also missed some bigtime warnings to be calling for the head of the FBI sounds like butt-covering to me.

Blogger Avalanche February 17, 2018 7:29 AM

One problem is: what do the police/Feebs DO when they're called in!? They can't arrest the guy for being a nutcase; they can't arrest him for 'making vague threats against other school kids (not against the law, unless *perhaps* it's videotaped); there's not really any (non-jail) 'nuthouse' extant -- and no legal way to lock someone up IN a nuthouse. Even IF it were possible to get him a 3-day lock-up for evaluation, he won't be kept locked up. (The libs made sure of that! Every crazy person has the "right" to live on the street until s/he commits a crime that results in actual jail time.)

They can't take his guns away cause he's a nutcase -- UNLESS he is declared so in court... which means he has to have done something to get him into court.

It is a pretty horrible Catch-22.

Blogger Duh-ave February 17, 2018 8:47 AM

In the 1950's it was easy, very easy in some states, to get someone committed against their will. Those laws are gone but you can now be jailed for violating "protective orders". Cruz could have been jailed for peeping. All or most of his 39 police calls could have resulted in a court order followed by an arrest on the next call. Perhaps this didn't happen because there is no unified social standards for us normals to work with anymore. The working class men back then had no problems enforcing normalcy on their block. Of course now we have a shortages of both work and men.

Blogger Ned February 17, 2018 1:26 PM

If there was any honor at FBI, the director wouldn't have to be asked to resign, he already would have.

Blogger tublecane February 17, 2018 8:02 PM

@NeoNietzche- Are you fsmilifa with Florida's laws on involuntary commitment? I'm not, but I don't assume the authorities' position is that desperate.

If they got the kid's family on their side it might be easier.

Blogger Joel Godfrey February 18, 2018 9:26 PM

Police protect the Mayor and each other and that is it. They don't stop crimes and they seem not to care for reporting them either. How people don't see this is beyond me?
