Nationalism is the winning strategy

Both Fidesz and Jobbik outperform expectations in Hungary:
8 million Hungarians went to the polls to elect a 199-seat parliament in the 2018 general elections, which many expected would see the incumbent Prime Minister Viktor Orbán- and his right-wing Fidesz party - win his third consecutive term. And, as covered here on numerous prior occasions, Orban's campaign had been centered around anti-immigration policies, an especially sensitive topic not only in Hungary and Central Europe, but across the old continent.

His main competitors are Gergely Karacsony, a candidate for the Socialist and Dialogue parties; and Gabor Vona of the far-right nationalist Jobbik party, or rather were because according to the Hungarian election office website, Prime Minister Orban’s ruling Fidesz party has won a sweeping, landslide victory according to preliminary results with 69% of the votes counted.
  • Fidesz with 49.5% of party-list votes, matching most pre-election opinion polls
  • Formerly far-right Jobbik second with 20% of list votes, Socialists at 11.9%
  • LMP and DK parties also poised to clear parliamentary threshold based on partial count
In other words, Orbán's Fidesz party has secured an absolute majority, and may even reach as much as a two-thirds majority of 133 seats, enough to pursue a constitutional amendment, making life for George Soros in Hungary even more unbearable.
Can Jobbik really be called "far-right" or "extreme" when it has nearly twice the electoral support as the Socialists?

This is what the Right needs to be doing throughout the West. Embrace nationalism. Reject immigration. It's not that hard and it will be successful, because everyone can see that the neo-liberal world order has failed, that immigration is dreadfully destructive of both the economy and the society, and that those who are pushing the globalist vision of one race, one world, one government are literally and materially evil.
Orban’s strong win could boost other right-wing nationalists in Central Europe, in Poland and in neighboring Austria, and expose cracks in the 28-nation EU.
Of course it will. Nationalism is rising and the Alt-Right is inevitable, because the truth cannot be obscured indefinitely. Communism has failed. Socialism has failed. Neo-liberalism has failed. Conservatism has failed. Constitutionalism has failed. Civic Nationalism has failed. Multiculturalism has failed. Feminism has failed. Globalism has failed. Once the impossible has been eliminated, what remains, however improbable or unpleasant, must be the truth.

Notice that all of the alternatives are lies, knowingly and consciously told for the purpose of deception. That is not an accident or a coincidence.

The Guardian chokes on its soy latte while reporting:

Viktor Orbán continues by thanking “all the people who prayed for us and prayed for me personally”.

As in Poland, which officially recognised Christ as its King in 2016, as in Russia, where Christianity - so long repressed - is flourishing, the Hungarians have put their faith in God, for man cannot live on bread alone. Our civilisation was founded on Christ's teachings, without them we would descend into a type of hell on Earth.

We are also told, "be not afraid". So - don't be afraid, or discouraged, or defeated in your heart. If little Hungary can find the strength to defend its people, so can you and your countrymen.

Vox, some time back you said give Europe a couple election cycles to come around. Would you consider this the start of that second cycle, or just a leading indicator for things developing further West in Europe?

@8 Daniel Bendele
The election of President Trump pushed it firmly into the civic nationalist camp. The next step awaits... especially considering how the Left has been behaving these days.

Somewhat OT but here's Molyneux's take on the latest Syrian atrocity. For what it's worth, I'm taking his side on this.

A primary tool in neutralizing global jihad is avoiding any involvement in the Middle East.

I read on CDAN it is Soros' Spawn and Megan Merckle at a spirit cooking party in the Hamptons. The red shoes were said to be significant (Podesta likes 'em too?)

I wonder if Hungary accepts American Defectors?

An inevitable question.

For Hungary's sake, the answer better be NO.

Eastern Europe has its own problems. If those countries want to survive, they will not tolerate a single Western immigrant because no matter how right wing he may be, he brings the Liberal Leprosy with him, which will bubble up the moment he experiences his first frustration with some local norm or the language barrier. (And no, Hungary needs not post bilingual signage at train stations).

Multiply that by the number of willing and able eastbound refuges and you have North Carolina flipping Blue.

Stay away.

Now we know why the 16 points haven't been translated into Hungarian.

I had an interesting discussion with an immigrant the other day. This is in Canada.

Basically explaining the rising of nationalism in the West and that ultimately non-natives will have to go back home.

She was pretty smug and told me she has Canadian citizenship.

But in conversation she still considers herself Iranian. She's told me that she loves her country (Iran).

I asked if she had dual citizenship, if she still held Iranian citizenship. And of course she does.

So I told her people like her will be very easy to round up. Her multiple citizenships are well documented and lists for multi-citizens residing in Canada would be very easy to draw up in preparation for resettlement.

She really didn't like where the conversation had gone. Given she's from Iran she has some familiarity with the operational details and implications of "lists".

These people genuinely don't believe it can happen here.

Eljen a Magyar! And long live Orban, and let he have the most competent bodyguards. I'm affraid without him there would be - as usual - internal strife in the ruling party and coming collapse.

Blogger Wynn Lloyd April 09, 2018 2:13 AM

What about the other way around? 250,000 Hungarians in the right area could change things. It's idle speculation, of course. It's not on anyone's agenda.
But since their land is prospering, why would they come to a fracturing land? It's almost the complete reverse of the conditions that were active when Eastern Europeans first came here.

Blogger Balázs Varga April 09, 2018 2:14 AM

This was inevitable. Jobbik's support lay in its far right politics. They went for centre, and Fidesz went for righter pastures and thus neutered the other right wing party.

The commies were crushed thoroughly, and for that I'm grateful. From a once ruling party they got a pathetic 12%.

Blogger Wynn Lloyd April 09, 2018 2:26 AM

I realize now how irrational that idea is. Bringing in others, even based people from strong nations, won't help Anglo-Americans return to nationalism. It would like be the exact opposite.

That idle thought comes from pure jealousy. It's impressive how Hungary is staring down the entire E.U., while we struggle to have any kind of border at all. It's a big encouragement to me, though, to know that European Catholics will resist strongly for a while to come. Let's pray Pope Francis' movement doesn't screw with them and corrupt them.

Re that photo in the link: Lady on tilt-table presumably to induce syncope- but why? And why so many persons wearing identical white wristband , and why the stack of ready-lit torches at top left rear of pic. Ready for big procession ? Could it be a still from some Kubrick film?

Yes, evil. And evil on so many different levels.

The browning of the world will reduce IQ levels drastically and that means we could not support the present world population. Deaths in the Billions? Even Mao could not get to Billions dead.

European Nationalism is deeply rooted on Christianity, but some Alt-Retarded Socialistas keep saying that Christianity must be put aside. One has to wonder how "nationalists " they really are.

Blogger Ceerilan April 09, 2018 9:49 AM

The left only understands the right in terms of "extreme" and "more extreme". This comes from the GWB era when Bush tried to compromise on stem cell research. He didn't hit back at all against the leftist crazies calling him an extremist for explicitly going into a moral grey atea to try and please everyone.

The moral from the Bush story is...never try to compromise with the left. They will still hate you.
