WOO

I heard about this from Ralph last week. Did you forgot to give a heads up here in VP? I mean, before going in at the last minute.

Well, in any case, hope you can talk about the Elon Musk drama, I truly believe it's Gamergate's bigger and meaner spiritual heir.

Kind of surprised Vox chose RR, he's the lesser known of the "internet blood sports" brigade, and isn't even alt-right like JF.

Ah Vox, you're fun when you stagger up to the mic and have to have SB attach it to your shirt. Mic problems but managed to understand most. I liked the comparison of sjw hordes to a school of fish. Have some folks to try that on. And, your kind words re J.Peterson, complete with plentiful F words, were interesting. And, Peterson's dream ideas of alien restaurant practices should really make our first contact events, assuming they have not already happened, go swimmingly. [laughs here; and goes for my own libations to properly join in the spirit of this media exposure]

So many seething Peterson fans lol was worth it just for them.

I don't think it matters, Vox knows Ralph from gamergate days, plus all the other ibs channels kinda imploded due to their own fault, like Warski and Kumite. I think Ralph is doing pretty good, even if it's small atm, and I like his format better than what Warski and Kumite did.

It's working fine now, for me at least.

LOL, I had hoped you two would talk about the recent drama in twitter about Elon Musk, since I truly think it's the spiritual heir to gamergate. Seem like Ralph wanted to but forgot. Ralph, you damn dumb idiot!

Nah, it's not JBP that got Sargon on the sh**list for most of us.

It was when he started caressing horseshoe "theory".

Blogger Darwinite May 29, 2018 10:58 PM

I couldn’t identify Valerie Jarrett in a lineup with Cornelius and Dr Zaius!

That was in your top 5 all time interviews/streams (including brainstorms). Was cracking up multiple times. My friends and I were marveling at your vivisection of Jordan, these last few weeks, but that was freaking brutal. I told my buddy, Vox is like the honey badger, why do these people go after him? They just get dismembered. I'm all for more "not entirely sober" streams. Really like the Killstream guy too. Going to have to check out his stuff.

OT:
So this guy, Greg Johnson, came down hard on Tommy Robinson.

https://www.counter-currents.com/2018/05/why-i-dont-support-tommy-robinson/

Just thought that should be put in the air.

Blogger Randomatos May 29, 2018 11:27 PM

So a nobody with no skin in the game is talking down the man who's getting results. Color me shocked.

I just wanted to say this was a good stream and I listened to some of it before I went in for a job interview, and then listened to the rest when I got back. I became aware of Jordan Peterson late last year and found him interesting, but Jim (Internet Aristocrat/Metokur) did a video last year basically showing some contradictions with the guy's actions versus what he preached, mainly to tweak his diehard fans, but you've probably gone into greater detail about the man's contradictions and past.

A major red flag for me with Jim's video was showing how much money Jordan was making, including charging for a personal personality test or whatever. Was very sketchy at that point. The stuff you've done shows that the man is either nuts or a scam artist or both.

A big danger that I've noticed with the major political paradigm shift happening is that there are people who are opportunistically trying to get in front of that paradigm shift to either manipulate it or profit off of it. We should DEFINITELY be focusing on the message and not necessarily the messenger. One of the reasons I respect you, even if I don't always agree with your views on stuff, is because you're not just giving speeches but actually DOING STUFF.

Blowback against Sargon I think has a lot to do with this, and I think in time your assessment on Jordan will end up being vindicated.

Your point about them not being the gateways, but the gatekeepers. Brilliant insight. And watching that again while reading the comments, brutal. Glad some people were there to stick up for us. But dang, talk about the SD/IQ gap. Some of them did come around though, after a while. That was heartening to see. One inch at a time.

Europa Universalis IV is the most Alt-Right game of all time.

Total War is for neocons and cuckservatives.

Blogger Archella May 30, 2018 3:59 AM

If you didn't play Panzer General with weather and supply, and advance to the Moscow 1941 scenario, you really had no idea how hard that game was. I have my official strategy guide book right here. Also, the campaign flow chart was sick, if you wanted to get one of those rare battles. Try playing Kursk on stand alone. Good lord. Always wanted to play Fantasy General, but I had a mac back then, and couldn't find a copy. Good to hear that it's on GoG. Will look for it.

OT:

Vox, are Repubs learning 4GW finally?

Blogger Wynn Lloyd May 30, 2018 6:09 AM

Ha! There is some truth to that. Though I like both paradox and Total War games.
So if paradox games are alt right, is crusader kings 2 the deus vulg wing of the alt right?
Makes me want to start a game. I will after my current Skyrim playthrough.

Blogger Wynn Lloyd May 30, 2018 6:12 AM

I've played both and FG is just as hard once you get going.
Even the beginning of the campaign in Poland in PG Is very tough. If you don't put exactly the right number of units you will not have the strength to take the objectives, but if you use all your troops on an objective, you run out of time. Worth it though, if a challenge is desired.
Great games.

Blogger Wynn Lloyd May 30, 2018 6:14 AM

Yep. Same as it always is.
I think this Greg Johnson is one of the alt-retards who got exposed by VD.
I only shared the article because I was extremely frustrated after reading it.
This guy doesn't have a tenth of the guts Robinson has.

Blogger Wynn Lloyd May 30, 2018 6:15 AM

I will definitely watch this tomorrow. It's on the agenda.
Looking forward to it.

Blogger Man of The West May 30, 2018 9:14 AM

From reading the live chat comments as the conversation went on, many Petersonophiles that began the stream skeptical of Vox appeared to go through a light speed version of the seven stages of grief, and ultimately began agreeing with Vox. I think going on this stream was a great way of informing and convincing some of the die hard Peterson fans, and made Vox look much ballsier in their eyes. Kudos on the successful mission.

Blogger Flavius Belisarius May 30, 2018 11:37 AM

@ Wynn Lloyd:

Ha, I was just poking fun at Vox; I do like the Total War games also but I much prefer Paradox at this point.

The reason I'd say EU4 is Alt-Right though is because of things like having to account for the culture and religion of the provinces you're conquering. It can both destabilize your empire and slow your economy.

Plus, it's just such a sandbox while being closely historically-based. It's the only game I can think of where you can do everything from reform the Eastern Roman or full Roman Empire, fight back Ottoman invasions and genocide Turkish culture, participate in the Reformation/Counter-Reformation, form a Kirishitan Japan, to becoming a colonial Korean empire in Ming's shadow.

CK2 definitely fits the bill too, it's just more micro-focused than macro. I've been wanting to do another playthrough but it's been a while and I can't quite remember how to play! It's a little less intuitive than EU4.

The Hearts of Iron series and Victoria 2 are great too.

I do worry about some possible creeping SJW-ism into Paradox though, as Vox mentioned.
