Two reports, one shill

I should like to sincerely apologize to Dr. Jordan Peterson, whom I have apparently falsely accused in my recent series of Darkstreams. It has come to my attention that I need to correct my erroneous assertion that Jordan Peterson is a globalist shill who helped author the UN High-level Panel report published in 2013 entitled A New Global Partnership, and is connected through that to John Podesta, a member of the High-level Panel. After more research, I have learned that this may not be true.

The truth, as it turns out, is that Jordan Peterson is a globalist shill who helped author the UN High-level Panel report published in 2012 entitled Resilient People, Resilient Planet: A future worth choosing and is connected through that to Jacob Zuma, the co-chair of that High-level Panel, and at the time, President of South Africa.
Zuma said the policy of “radical economic transformation,” which has also seen moves to change the constitution to allow for the expropriation of land for redistribution to landless blacks, was needed to “correct the past.” “The ANC must follow this policy because if you don’t, we are going to stay in poverty, in inequality, for a long time.”
- "Jacob Zuma calls for confiscation of white land without compensation"
Which tends to put an interesting spin on the future that Dr. Peterson believes is worth choosing. The confusion stemmed from the fact that Peterson was recorded on video claiming to have written the narrative for a UN high-level panel report on sustainable development delivered in 2013, but he appears to have misspoken, as the only UN high-level panel report that specifically credits him as a contributor was actually published in 2012.

"I worked on the UN Secretary-General's High Panel for sustainability report that was delivered, I believe, in 2013, and rewrote the underlying narrative to strip out most of the ideological claptrap."
- Dr. Jordan Peterson, October 2016

This confusion was further compounded by the fact that the 2013 report repeats, almost verbatim, more than a few of the passages of the 2012 report, and based on their similar themes and length, the 2013 report appears to be little more than a repackaging of the 2012 one. But there can be no question that Peterson was a contributor to the 2012 report.
United Nations Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on Global Sustainability (2012). Resilient People, Resilient Planet: A future worth choosing. New York: United Nations.

P. 93. Annex IV
Sherpas and advisers

For: James Laurence Baisillie
Sherpa: David Runnalls
Advisers: Paul Jenkins, Jordan B. Peterson, Simon Zadek
So, who were the other people on Peterson's team? They are all second- and third-tier globalists, including an economist who was, until recently, #2 at the Canadian version of the Federal Reserve.

James Balsillie
Chair of the Board of the Centre for International Governance Innovation, Canada, and former Co-Chief Executive Officer of Research in Motion). Balsillie is also the founder of CIGI (Centre for International Governance Innovation) which is in partnership with the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET), an organization founded by George Soros.

David Runnalls
Former Director of  the International Institute for Environment and Development. A distinguished fellow with IISD, he is a member of the board of the Institute of Advanced Studies of the United Nations University. He is a member of the Advisory Council for Export Development Canada; a member of the Council for Sustainable Development Technology Canada; and a member of the Ivey Business School Leadership Council.

Paul Jenkins
Canadian economist and Distinguished Fellow at The Centre for International Governance Innovation. He was most recently the Senior Deputy Governor and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank of Canada, the number two position in that institution.

Simon Zadek
The Co-Director of the UNEP Inquiry into the Design of a Sustainable Financial System. In 1992 he joined the New Economics Foundation, becoming its Development Director and leading its work on corporate social responsibility. He helped to found the Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability in 1995, acting as its CEO from 2002-2009. In 2003 he was named as one of the World Economic Forum's 'Global Leaders of Tomorrow' and he currently serves as an advisor to WEF on sustainability.

So, in addition to his more recent ties to Swamplings like Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson has been in bed with the the globalists at the UN as well as the banksters for over 14 years. The case against him is conclusive, and his virulent opposition to nationalism and the West is no longer a mystery.

Hi Vox, Jim's last name is Balsillie. There's a harmless typo in his name listed above, but I thought I'd point it out. You do have it spelled correctly below in his bio.

Everyone in Canada has heard of Jim Balsillie, famous for Blackberry and attempting to purchase an NHL franchise.

@4 @6 Akulkis and Stg58/Animal Mother, Re: Sherpa?

Well first, these suckers have to fit the type: damaged in some way, pliable, bright, and ambitious. For starters, as a test, they get them to carry their water. If they master the role of waterboy, the "mark" then advances to the equivalent of sherpa.

So, if they can be trusted in minor roles, they advance to more important files. Jim Balsillie seems the type who always wanted in the club, status. He fits the profile. Vox has his number by rating him as second and third tier globalist.

This guilt by association point, while interesting and tangentially relevant relevant,is not all that persuasive because I don't know from what you've written what part Peterson played in the final report. Peterson may have focused on the problem of low mean IQ populations. I have heard him opine that there is basically no useful role for folks with less than 85 IQ. If not, what did Peterson actually say in the report? That is what would establish mens rea vel non.

"It’s when Max the police dog learns what he has to do to truly go undercover and be accepted as a legitimate show dog that the trouble with this movie starts. WHAT does Max (and apparently all the show dogs) have to submit to?

Having his private parts touched and inspected.

The day of the finals come and if Max doesn’t let his private parts be touched, he may lose the competition and any hope of finding the kidnapped panda. It all rests on his ability to let someone touch his private parts. The judge’s hands slowly reach behind Max and he goes to his “zen place”. He’s flying through the sky, dancing with his partner, there are fireworks and flowers-everything is great-all while someone is touching his private parts.

Enjoy this Peterson quote of the day!

“It makes sense that a witch lives in a swamp. Yeah,” he says. “Why?” “Right. That’s right. You don’t know. It’s because those things hang together at a very deep level. Right. Yeah. And it makes sense that an old king lives in a desiccated tower.”

But witches don’t exist, and they don’t live in swamps, I say.

“Yeah, they do. They do exist. They just don’t exist the way you think they exist. They certainly exist. You may say well dragons don’t exist. It’s, like, yes they do — the category predator and the category dragon are the same category. It absolutely exists. It’s a superordinate category. It exists absolutely more than anything else. In fact, it really exists. What exists is not obvious.”

The problem as I see it is that JP never advertised himself as a nationalist in the first place. I've listened to him and that is not really the plane he is on. He still believes in the Star Trek Federation of planets model as his notion of inevitable future progress. As I understand it you believe that such a notion is impossible because it conflicts with the basic facts of human evolution, human nature, and basic reality. (and I agree). What I hear JP addressing is much more the functioning on a personal level for personal sanity and happiness. On that plane He makes some good points. I also agree with his advocacy of traditional literature and culture as a valid reference point for success. If his referencess are incomplete and flawed it is good to fill in his blanks. However, I'm not surprised that JP has voids in his classical references. Even people at his level and age were not properly educated. Our educational system is pathetic. That is why Margaret Sangers' famous essay advocating a return to Classical Education (the Trivium) referred to "the LOST tools of learning" (emphasis mine).

Vox, did the person pointing out this mistake provide evidence? Because I've seen this claim before, but:

1. The bio you posted previously specifically says "Sustainable Development", which is different from the panel for "Global Sustainability".

2. He does say "sustainability" in that interview, but he also says the report was released in 2013. The global sustainability report was released in 2012; the other report was released in 2013.

3. The global sustainability panel dealt more with environmentalism, the other with poverty. Peterson has no qualifications related to environmentalism and never talks about it, but he does talk about poverty.

In short, I think you were correct the first time, unless there's some evidence that I haven't seen.

Blogger VD May 21, 2018 7:46 PM

Vox, did the person pointing out this mistake provide evidence?

Read the post. The 2012 report actually lists Peterson on page 93. That being said, I suspect he may have been involved with the second report too, either directly or indirectly. A lot of the language is almost identical.

Blogger Noah B. May 21, 2018 8:10 PM

"What I hear JP addressing is much more the functioning on a personal level for personal sanity and happiness."

Peterson provides trivially obvious suggestions for improving one's life alongside a generous dose of poison. Advising people not to take pride in the accomplishments of their ancestors and not to identify with their kin is just the opposite of sanity and happiness. He leads his followers down a path toward confusion, isolation and despair, which he proposes to remedy with happy pills.

The report produced by Podesta's panel directly references the report released by the panel Peterson worked for:

On page 19:
28. This recommendation was previously made by the United Nations Secretary-General’s High Level Panel on Global Sustainability

And on page 25:
42. This reiterates the recommendation made by the High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability (2012).

Peterson's contribution is part of the DNA of not only the report produced by the panel John Podesta sat on, but also ultimately of the 'UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development'.

Detailed infograph of Peterson's ties to the UN, globalist think tanks, and more:

Someone should look into his time at Harvard. He must have come into contact with some of the globalist / council on foreign relations / trilateral commission crowd there, if he was later invited to sit on a UN panel.

As someone else here noted, why would they pick up an obscure psychologist? No government agent (or supranational agency) allows someone to sit on a panel without vetting them. They choose people for a reason, after ensuring that they are picking someone who fits with the dominant worldview. So what exactly did Peterson have, given that he is no expert in sustainability and the like. It's a fair bet that he was hired to pull an Edward Bernays. Propaganda, selling it to the masses.

Blogger rumpole5 May 22, 2018 2:51 AM

Steve Sailer just posted 3 JP presentations on IQ. One of them was the the one I recalled about the uselessness (vis a vis modern Western tech societies) of low IQ persons. The cutoff was at 83, not 85 as I recalled. He would be useful in advising on global sustainability because there are a number of distinct human populations where about HALF! of the people in the population are at that level! How can one use a single global model of government, or production, or pretty anything where so many of some world populations are burdened with that much stupidity? This point is rather at odds with JP's emphasis on individualism as a global model, but I don't think that he has thought the whole thing through.
