Alt-Hero #1 available in print again

Just to note that the print edition of AH#1 Crackdown is available again at Castalia Books Direct, Amazon, and your local bookseller. We did NOT end up changing the margins since we determined that would have made matters worse, so we only made a minor change to properly center the image on the back cover. You'll see how we're addressing the problem of trim variation on the margins in AH#2, as we're going to a full-bleed slash pseudo full-bleed approach that effectively eliminates it.

Amazon is sold out, so it will take a few days for them to restock. The fastest way to buy it is from Castalia Books Direct.

Do you have an idea when the first paperback omnibus (first three volumes) is scheduled?

Slightly off-topic: I tried to get Quantum Mortis #1 on Kindle from Amazon, and was delivered #2 instead. Don't think I made a mistake, it's listed in my Kindle library as #1. The cover is from #1, the rest from #2.

Not a big deal, I enjoyed #2. I'm not even a comics reader, just wanted to join in the fun.

The first omnibus will be released when we have six issues completed. One volume = two issues.

The cover is from #1, the rest from #2.

Strange. I'll check it out.

Yeah, for some reason the interior of QM02 was uploaded to QM01. The correct interior has now been uploaded.

Thanks. Will re-purchase #1.

The last four pages of AH#1 tho'! That's the intro of Alt-Hero[es].

to properly center the image on the back cover.

That makes my very early gold label edition (1 of 200?) even more collectible, amirite? I heard Uncle Ethan's early Cyberfrog issues are fetching around 2 bills right now.

Thanks. Will re-purchase #1.

Try updating your existing purchase tomorrow.

Any chance of a letters page in Alt-Hero?

Yes, in the digital. Zero in the print. We have literally ZERO margin there. We make no money on any single-issue print edition unless you buy it from Castalia Books Direct.

That's how we're able to keep the price so low on them.

#10 THANX for saying that. I purchased my copy from Castalia House and was curious about how much you were making in relation to an Amazon purchase. Now I know.

I have the print, but haven't touched it. (Nitrobagged the minute I got it). Probably about time I got another so I can actually READ it.

I get a feeling that one day these will be very, very hot property. Would it be better to purchase digital for personal consumption? Or (slightly improved print run) another physical copy?

If Castalia makes a much better markup on the digital, that may be the deciding factor. I got QM#1 but found it not to my personal story tastes, so I am not collecting it. (It's a style thing, not a quality thing, so no bad review, it just wasn't my cup of tea.)

Also, is there even the vaguest possibility that at some point Rod Walker's stuff might go graphic?

We do better on the digital, because no print costs.

It's not on the short list.

Thank you.

Castalia Direct does not ship to Estonia. Any chance that it will, or should I wait for Amazon to restock?

Just picked up QM 1 and 2 on kindle. Made sure I left enough in the account to pick up Alt-Hero #2 when that comes out.

Noticed there was slight CDN price difference QM 1 ($3.75) and QM #2 ($3.99)
Are the exchange prices set at time of release?

Wait for Amazon. We will have EU/UK shipping soon, but I don't have a date yet.

Excellent. Just ordered AH1, Right Ho Jeeves 2 and Chicago typewriter.

After a few weeks, I just read this comic book again on my Kindle and enjoyed it considerably more the second time around. It's been so many decades since I've read a comic book, I forgot how much better it is to slow...down...and look at all the stuff going on in the frame. This is going to be a great story.

Considering I own a grand total of 4 comic books, I thought it seemed like a good idea. Weird for a guy that loves superhero RPG's, but as a marvel fan I ditched everything back in the eighties after 'Heroes for Hope' came out ... that and Kitty Pride's rant after the 'Gay mutie light sculptor' killed himself convinced me that comics were the waste of the future.

It is not gold foil but apparently I have a gold logo AH1.

In earlier comments I noted the Villian is all important. The totally chaotic Joker. The greedy Luthor.

Apparently by "accident" the wonderful and clear and REAL villians are brought forward in AH#1.

Is there a subscription so I can have next day delivery of the initial publication of the next?

This promises to be a very rich vein of a morality play, much subtle conflict and more.

Too often either good or evil is caricatured into something even less than a 2d cardboard cut-out.

Capt. Europa's team including Dynamique itself is full of rich potential, the firstfruits visible and delicous. My expectations are raised for "good", but I doubt I will be disappointed.

The SJWs big mistake is that they destroy or undermine the entertainment. If there is a real story, even if evil wins (think Empire Strikes Back), if every moment is entertaining it is still a great epic.

SJWs want their good to win, but it always ends up with characters that you would hope would have been dead virtue signalling. In AH it would be comic relief (a pool could be created as to which Europa team would end up causing an unfortunate accident).

So little money. So few pages. So much content and entertainment.

Yes, it is has some (literally) marginal flaws, but wasn't oversold. Comics are back, though they never died, but DC and Marvel are screeching in the SJW tarpit, but given the trajectory of the econometeor, will soon be silenced.
