Hungary shows the way

This is what a truly nationalist government that puts the interests of the people first looks like:
Hungary's parliament on Wednesday approved a package of bills that criminalises some help given to illegal immigrants, defying the European Union and human rights groups and narrowing the scope for action by non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been a vocal critic of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's open-door migrant policy and has led eastern European opposition to EU quotas that aimed to distribute asylum seekers around the bloc.

Orban's right-wing Fidesz party tightened its grip on parliament in an April election fought on a fiercely anti-immigration platform that demonised U.S. billionaire George Soros and liberal NGOs he backs. Orban accuses Soros of encouraging mass immigration to undermine Europe, a charge Soros denies.

Under the new law, officially called "STOP Soros", individuals or groups who help migrants not entitled to protection to submit requests for asylum or who help illegal migrants gain status to stay in Hungary will be liable to prison terms.

"The Hungarian people rightfully expects the government to use all means necessary to combat illegal immigration and the activities that aid it," Interior Minister Sandor Pinter wrote in a justification attached to the draft legislation.

"The STOP Soros package of bills serves that goal, making the organisation of illegal immigration a criminal offence. We want to use the bills to stop Hungary from becoming a country of immigrants," he said.

Parliament, where Fidesz has a two-thirds majority, also passed on Wednesday a constitutional amendment to state that an "alien population" cannot be settled in Hungary - a swipe at Brussels over its quota plan.
Americans should not be content with the mealy-mouthed civic nationalism that passes for the actual interests of the genuine people. Because a nation of immigrants is not a nation at all.

I was trying to think of an example of a true nation of immigrants and I couldn't. Not a nation in any real sense of the word.

You CAN have a collection of immigrants. Maybe all George Soros wants is to complete his collection. Someone give him a rare Papua New Guinean gardener and a hard-to-find Maldivian pilot and maybe he'll feel satisfied.

On the other hand, his plans so often go awry (Arab Spring, anyone?), it's hard to think of a preferable opponent.

The problem with "Civic Nationalism" is that it is neither. Latrina (I forgot which Ilk introduced this ID) and her brood are dyscivic, and are nationals from one of the south of the border shitholes, and won't assimilate at all (don't know engish, the constitution, etc.).

Vox in one of the original posts CORRECTLY noted that civic nationalism required strict enforcement and terrible penaties against what are though crimes.

The only way Civic Nationalism would work is to deport, exile, or imprison those who reject the civic creed - the originalist constitution. I could live with and in that, but they are to a mouse too squeamish to actually implement the necessary laws and enforcement.

Culture is its own enforcement, hence ethno-nationalism has an autopilot that will get to the destination. I'd rather be an accepted alien in a southern nationalist neoconfederacy than a citizen in the soft wink-nod multicultural civic nationalism.

There cannot be multicultural civic nationalism. Civic Nationalism requires strict to the point of tyranny enforcement of norms. Ethno nationalism can tolerate a lot of wierdness BECAUSE the ethnicity, culture, etc. is held as the local gold standard, so any adulteration or dross is clear and visible.

Civic Nationalism also has no known mechanism to protect from the kind of subversion we see in judicial activism - somehow emanations and penumbras protect contraception and aboriton, but the plain text which directly contradicts it is said to allow civil asset forfeiture.

Even the Christian Creeds have a deep context we don't allow deconstruction thereof. A civic creed is more vulnerable.

Whenever Trump is criticized by the MSM and/or Conservatism Inc. for "alienating Our Allies," remember they're talking about the members of Team Globohomo who happen to be squatting in the halls of power in various nations. Not the nation's themselves, who could be much better allies if they were all working against the NWO.

The media often talks as if Trump is inciting insurrection or something, and I don't know how much he can be credited for pushing Europe rightward. Really they're riding the same historical wave as us, with Trump a bit ahead of wave (though not ahead of me). However, if he could manage to topple Merkelian regimes across the world through sheer suggestion and force of personality, it would be one of the greatest achievements of any American ever.

@14

I doubt that Trump is "pushing" Eastern Europe rightward. However, I'm positive that he's had a major impact in enabling them to do it on their own.

For one thing, he's left them alone, which is something that most administrations can't or won't do (think Rhodesia, South Africa, and basically all former colonial powers). He's made no condemnations of their actions, and occasionally drags the European migrant crisis back into the spotlight, if only for a few hours or days at a time.

I also think that part of the reason he's stirring up all kinds of drama with the UN (relocating the embassy in Israel, exiting the Human Rights council, etc.) is to keep them distracted with trivial problems on which they'll have no impact. Militarily the UN is toothless, but they and their globalist buddies can still kick up a pretty big cloud of dust and bring political pressure to bear on small nations like Poland and Hungary.

And of course he's making heads explode at the EU every day with his actions on trade, his chumminess with the Asian powers (including Kim), his brass balls at the G7, etc. So they are distracted too.

Trump isn't saving Hungary or any part of Europe - but Hillary could have done a great deal to prevent them from saving themselves, just like Obama did.

There are two different types of lefty... the 'fools' and the 'tools'

The fools are the ones that follow it because their logical facilities are underdeveloped... This includes both the true believer types, and the people who are desperately trying to make themselves feel better by assuaging their guilt or signalling what good people they are... which is most of the hollywood actor types, doctors without borders, and college students.

The tools of course are the ones that have their hands in other people's pockets. They are getting something very valuable from the left, that could be affirmative promotion, welfare, or even fear of being blackmailed. Most hollywood director/producer types, politicians, and low-end liberal voters fit this model.

But BOTH types need to keep the human smuggling going by any means possible. Either to keep counterbalancing the real americans who refuse to keep voting liberal, or in order to pretend to be good, unselfish, and generous.

I would explain more at length, but Vox has already described it (albeit not in the same way) in his two SJW books. You should really check them out.

The fools can be (for the most part) fixed through pain and exposure to reality. The Tools CANNOT be fixed, and for the most part need to be deported, or used for landfill. Generally, the older they are, the more likely they are to have left the fool phase and the more likely to be a tool.

Not that I would particularly mind if she DID wind up in an orange pantsuit, but if it's a choice between humiliating her MORE or taking out one of the nightmares still in power, I'd take out the beast and leave her to go to hell in her own way.

A bit of a mixed metaphor there, just saying, since they are radically different destinations... ;-) I think we can all agree that without a radical act of repentance, the first option is the logical outcome.

I wish to correct the assumption that Trump came first. Orbán has been doing this for almost a decade now, but he can get away with more now as the US pressure relents and he gains new allies.

As for moving in, do consider that our wages are a quarter of yours, and that Hungarian women may look great, but they are mighty fierce and not at all submissive once wed, and more than willing to tear the eyes from any "refugee" that gets too touchy, should it be one on one a fight.
