Cucks complain about media SJWs

Specifically, they complain about the media SJWs treating them and the moderate leftists they admire the way that they treat everyone to their Right.
Jordan Peterson has become so effective a messenger—and not just in Canada—that it was inevitable that the MSM, the left, and academics (but I repeat myself) would put forth effort to discredit and discount him. So if you’ve been paying attention you’ll have noticed a recent spate of articles and statements saying just where he went so grievously wrong, how he draws his support from bigots and alt-righters (and/or is one himself), and fails to understand this or that or the other thing on which the critic/writer is an expert. Here’s a recent example of the latter (hat tip commenter Artfldgr), and there are plenty more of the former as well such as this one from NBC.

Watch that last video; it’s less than two minutes long, and it’s instructive—not about Peterson, but about the way the MSM approaches the topic of “explaining” him. Most of these hit pieces are relatively subtle, as is this one (“Who is Jordan Peterson, favorite figure of the alt-right”), which hardly talks about what Peterson actually says, gets some of that wrong when it does (beginning with saying he refuses to be pigeonholed and then offering as an example of that him speaking about an entirely different subject, his refusal to automatically use left-dictated pronouns for transgendered people), but quickly delivers its main message of “bigots love him, therefore he’s tainted.”

The goal is quite clearly to make him persona non grata to people who’ve never watched a video of his or read anything he’s written, making him so toxic that they will pigeonhole him (“alt-right bigot”) and never indulge whatever curiosity they might have by going to the source, Peterson. These pieces are not meant to actually inform; they’re meant to block any desire the listener might have to inform him/herself. After all, life is short, we have a finite amount of time here, and why waste it listening to a bigot or a figure beloved by bigots?
It's particularly funny to see how the readers of this "neo-neocon" promptly make use of the very same tactics to try to make me persona non grata when someone points out that I have shown Jordan Peterson to be an evil left-wing globalist charlatan.
Johnny Ray:
Vox Day a true altrighty debunks JP on his blog as a fraud

om:
Oh noes, not Vox Day! As if Jordon Peterson has ever claimed to be of the alt-right. The left says it over and over, but saying a thing doesn’t make it so.

vanderleun:
Vox Day’s extreme jealousy of Peterson is transparent, vile and disgusting. He shows his true colors as an envious mental midget who is in love with only his own vapors. Basically, like the rotted pulp stuff he cranks out, he’s a comic book.
First, the point isn't that Jordan Peterson isn't of the alt-right. He's not. The point is that he's not of the Right at all, his philosophy is evil, his logic is incoherent, and his advice is bad. As for the constant accusations of envy, I am no more jealous of the haunted, suicidal, godless, mentally unbalanced Peterson than I was of Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, PZ Myers, or that little doughball Scalzi. Those who believe all criticism is rooted in jealousy always reveal more than they realize about themselves.

I was lucky enough to see JBP in Nashville at the Ryman last week, and luckier still to meet him (I couldn't afford a VIP ticket, but waiting outside the theater for a long time afterwards paid off!). He really IS everything that you would hope and expect him to be. His gaze is so intense when he makes eye contact with you, and you can really see the genuine warmth and compassion in his eyes. Truly a great man.
These idiots genuinely deserve everything they are going to eventually experience. Sweet St. Darwin, but they are dumber than the dodos were. Because greatness truly depends upon the perception of compassion in one's eyes.

Vox, the reason I think the SJW MSM is in an all the way down Spiral Death Dive:

IMO, the "covenant with death" that comes straight out of the bible is doing a deal with 'multi-cultic-Islam-inclusive-Islam."

The SJW's think that their magic multicultic buzz words deal has their sorry asses covered. But you can't do a deal with death. It want's everything. Islam is the crocodile SJWs think they can tame with sweet music. Their deal is to be eaten one limb at a time. If Jordan Peterson has a place in a culture wars it's where people are being eaten alive. If he isn't there he is the way. The Rotherham rape gangs is one front. Tommy Robinson is one POW.

"He shows his true colors as an envious mental midget who is in love with only his own vapors. Basically, like the rotted pulp he cranks out, he's a comic book."

Remember that post Vox had a while back about amateurish writers and their overwrought similes and metaphors? This is a Blues Brotherian pile-up of moribund figures of speech.

First the cliched "mental midget," then what I can only imagine is a garbled cliche about vapors. A slightly reworked cliche, and finally a somewhat unique but crappy metaphor. What does it even mean to call a person a comic book?

Could be worse. They left out cheetahs.

Those who believe all criticism is rooted in jealousy always reveal more than they realize about themselves.

Everything that you know, there was a point where you learned it. And for me, I learned not to attempt mind-reading when I was trolling YouTube comment sections back in the day, and realized how vulnerable it made people. I loved it when someone would get mad and try to read my mind, because of course no one actually has magical psychic powers, so there was a lot of projection and it just revealed weaknesses. And the same went even just for them trying to imagine what kind of insults would affect me most, when they didn't know anything about me -- the more expansive, unusual, and specific the rant, the more insight it gave into their own psyche. (Of course, knowing that, I would sometimes leave fake bait for other trolls, with highly specific flames that were just random creative writing; so assuming others do the same, it isn't perfectly reliable; but still.) /tangent

Cynical as I am about MSM propaganda, it's still disturbing to watch people be led by the nose like this. Though compared to Muh Russia, this "intellectual dark web" nonsense is nothing.

Speaking of propaganda, OT: just as immigration bills come up for votes in the House we get a gigantic "oh, won't somebody *please* think of the children" media blitz. Complete with all the first ladies and the two previous Republican presidential nominees pretending to care. CNN even aired over a full minute of some kid crying.

Shouldn't people grow out of having crushes? Didn't they go at one point in their lives from "[x] is the greatest!" to "OMG, I don't even know what I was thinking at the time"?

It's natural to behave in such a fashion towards the opposite sex due to a torrent of hormones during puberty, but to see grown men acting like Justin Bieber fangirls over some lanky canadian is somewhat shocking. I fully expect to see one of them post a selfie with some carpet stained by one of Peterson's drinks.

I frequently read neo-neocon during Obama's reign; but I did not consider her a conservative; quite frankly, it was Artfldgr's comments I looked forward to; for, he is a well read, high IQ fellow with a knowledge of history and pattern recognition: that is what caught my attention. Artfldgr would write long insightful comments attempting to educate neo-neocon and her audience; but, as Vox experiences, he knew and understood too much for her and her audience to grasp; It didn't help that neo-neo frequently edited out the meat of his argument.

its only one part. The Left's goal is, and always has been, control. They're tool to attain that control is emotion.

Notice this family seperation crisis. Totally manufactured. This policy and practice has been going on for decades. Dubya and Obama both did it. Hell Obama did it more than Dubya did.

And yet it somehow wasn't a crisis then.

Because the Left didn't need it then.

If that were true, they wouldn't drop so many stories because the subject wouldn't talk to them.

Yes, they will misrepresent you. But they do so most effectively, and do the most damage, when they can claim that they talked to you and they are directly quoting what you told them personally. Why do you think the reporters are going to such lengths just to TRY to talk to Markku, the Alt-Hero backers, and even people like Based Stickman who have zero connection with either Arkhaven or me?

Watch how the Rolling Stone article is going to try to take what I said in a different context and apply it to the new story, even though it's not very useful to their narrative. That's because they want that prosecutorial angle.

He also didn’t get to ask JP any questions, during the show or after. So I paid $200 for an autograph- actually not even that bc my friend didn’t have a hard copy of 12 Rules and they didn’t include a copy with the $200 book tour ticket either.

I don’t degrudge the man his Patreon money, but damn. I could have done a lot better things with $200.

The actor Chris Pratt gave an acceptance speech at the MTV music awards, in which he laid out 9 rules for good living. These are far more useful and sensible than Jordan Peterson's rules, and Pratt does it in 3 less to boot:

Number one: breathe. If you don’t, you’ll suffocate.

Number two: You have a soul. Be careful with it.

Number three: Don’t be a turd. If you’re strong, be a protector and if you’re smart, be a humble influencer. Strength and intelligence can be weapons and do not wield them against the weak. That makes you a bully. Be bigger than that.

Number four: When giving a dog medicine, put the medicine in a little piece of hamburger and they won’t even know they’re eating medicine.

Number five: Doesn’t matter what it is, earn it. A good deed, reach out to someone in pain, be of service, it feels good and it’s good for your soul.

Number six: God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do.

Number seven: If you have to poop at a party, but you’re embarrassed because you’re going to stink up the bathroom, just do what I do. Lock the door. Sit down, get all the pee out first. Okay? Then, when all the pee’s done, poop-flush-boom. You minimize the amount of time that the poop is touching the air because if you poop first, then it takes you longer to pee and you’re peeing on it, stirring it up and the poop particles create a cloud that goes out and then everyone at the party will know that you pooped. Just trust me, it’s science.

Number eight: Learn to pray. It’s easy and it’s so good for your soul.

Number nine: Nobody is perfect. People are going to tell you you’re perfect just the way you are; you’re not! You are imperfect. You always will be, but there’s a powerful force that designed you that way. And if you’re willing to accept that you will have grace and grace is a gift. Like the freedom we enjoy in this country that grace was paid for with somebody else’s blood. Do not forget it. Don’t take it for granted.

"However I feel I've moved past what advice he can offer, which is just basic dad advice of "get your shit together"."

Those "get your shit together" ideas are often derided as so basic and obvious that they shouldn't need to be stated to a grown adult. And maybe they are that basic and obvious. But the military service branches teach the same "clean your room" and "stand up straight with your shoulders back" material, and it's so effective that Judges used to send people to the military when they got in trouble. Some of the low level community control facilities for low level convicts are focused on those same sorts of things.

Millions of young men need to hear it... or, more accurately, millions of men and women of all ages need to hear it (and apply it) - the court system has an awful lot of middle aged people that still don't have their shit together. Those people have to start somewhere. Many of them never do. But they can't start with commanding a platoon... until after they've learned to make their bed and polish their boots.

JBP fans accuse most of his serious critics of jealousy or at least the critics who aren't flaming SJWs. I suppose on the one hand this is a result of them being unable to actually defend JBP against legitimate criticism since they don't rely on this nonsense when they can argue the facts. On the other hand, though, this really does say something about the nature of his fan base. He's really tapped into a core audience of bitter midwits. The accusations hurled at JDP are, as usual, blatant attempts to Other him by casting him as morally flawed, and Unpure. Like always, the left assumes a position of self-evident moral superiority, and deigns to lecture the rest of us plebes about who and or what we should consider Right™, because the left is just Better™ than us.

The huge push to shame Trump into lifting the policy of child separation is wholly a moral argument, devoid of any facts. It is also weaponized empathy, and everyone should see it for exactly what it is.

People think he's right-wing becaus he (mildly) criticized the loony left. That's all it takes.

Oh, certainly - when the whole situation with him first came out I briefly wondered if he'd had a "come to Jesus" moment myself, considering he teaches in Toronto, of all places.

A little digging revealed him as a classical liberal, which if he's honest would be a start. However, people then started talking about his archetypes of Christianity. Further digging revealed that he hadn't had a "come to Jesus" moment after all, instead waffled about his faith, and that learning about his Jungian archetypes would be pointless. What fellowship has light with darkness, after all?

Thus I forgot all about him, and so the whole subsequent JPG fanboy/girlism came as a bit of a surprise, particularly that found among those who claimed to be Christian and/or conservative. It's even more interesting that some who bashed Trump for not being a Christian are fine with JPG not being one.

I guess no one bothered to do even basic digging on the man, let alone the in-depth expose of our host.

And if you're reading this, Peterson, return to the faith of your ancestors and that of your own childhood and stop wasting our country-men's time for your fifteen minutes of fame, heretic.

I've never thought Peterson was of the right in any way, other than he criticizes the Marxist left effectively. But I have never understood why Vox has devoted so much energy to attacking JBP.

"So he tells you to clean your room. Great. My mother told me that when I was four years old," was one of Vox's criticisms. Well, hooray for Vox who had a father who was there, and a mother who cared about discipline. The young men to whom JBP's message appeals lack those things, and as products of contemporary media exposures, they walk into a college environment where they're told they are everything that is wrong with the world. They're also told that VD and Milo and Cernovich et al are literally Hitler.

Peterson tells them to get their shit together, and that they have value, and can make an impact on the world. It is not pure red pill, MotW Return of Kings, but it can open eyes and minds to those things.
