Take a hike, Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have to go back:
President Trump on Monday abruptly rescinded an invitation to host the Eagles at the White House, citing the “smaller delegation” that was planning to attend and again stoking a national debate by insisting that players “proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart.”

“The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow,” Trump said in a statement released late Monday. “They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better.

“These fans are still invited to the White House to be part of a different type of ceremony — one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem. I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus to celebrate America.”

The Eagles were scheduled to be honored by Trump at 3 p.m. on the South Lawn. Fewer than 10 players planned to attend, a team source told the Inquirer and Daily News.
It would certainly be amusing if Trump ordered tax audits for all the Eagle players, ala Clinton. But on a more serious note, this is another demonstration that the USA is no longer a nation-state, it is a multinational, multiethnic, multilingual, multireligious empire of diverse peoples battling for power and influence over their rivals.

Trump had this contingency plan in his back pocket before he even invited those traitorous swine.

Would they stand for the Kenyan national anthem? Perhaps Hussein can host them at his high walled estate; it's a short walk from the White House.

The Eagles were named after the New Deal era National Recovery Act (later determined to be unconstitutional) blue eagle symbol. These Eagles are just as baseless.

The Kneeagles are not honorable and neither are they necessary.

It is possible for former fans to watch zero football.

Imagine no NFL...it's easy if you try.

Black Privilege not really a big seller outside of blacks themselves and a few lunatic white leftists/cynical D politicians.

If they really want to exercise their BP they will not only need to double down they will need to go fusion levels of kneeling and protesting.

Which is a curious coincidence. Black America thought the NRA was notoriously racist and called it the Negro Run Around—because while it allegedly helped the white population, it just gave the Negro the runaround.

Part of the reason the NRA and its symbolism was pulled back was because it was so overtly fascist and imitative of the Nazis too.

I'm starting to think the GE's greatest gift is the ability to out leftist kooks in the worst possible light.
It can't be made any more clear who and what is the dividing line. And I'm wondering if a guy that smart can really be the civic nationalist he portrays.

The Kneagles should show up Trump and the deplorables and throw their own celebration and see how many people show up and how big a cross section of the left show up in support.

The Left being comprised of many sub cults that have to be rigidly segregated.

According to the Washington Times, not a single player on the eagles knelt during the regular season or playoffs:

Not a single Eagles player sat or knelt during the national anthem, one of just seven teams with perfect non-kneeling records, in a season that saw 684 such incidents, according to a study released Thursday by Sports Pundit.

The other Super Bowl LII team, the New England Patriots, landed in the middle of the pack with 17 incidents of anthem sitting or kneeling, wedged between the Buffalo Bills with 16 and the Cleveland Browns with 20.

If I were an NFL owner I would be pissed about this. This time around it is Trump as the agent provocateur. But then I am not an NFL owner…

"And I'm wondering if a guy that smart can really be the civic nationalist he portrays."

Whatever it is that Trump is loyal to, civic nationalism is something he can go with it. Close enough I guess.

Blogger Dexter June 05, 2018 7:53 AM

Apparently less than 10 of them were going to show up - and even they wouldn't promise not to kneel during the anthem. "Piss off then" was the right answer to that!

Blogger Stilicho June 05, 2018 7:59 AM

Come on Eagles, hire Kaepernick... that'll show Trump who's boss!

I swear, these silly leftists are well on their way to creating nationalist sports mobs a la European soccer hooligans. I didn't think that would ever catch on here in a big way, but I may have been wrong.

Maybe the taxpayers of Wakanda can build them a stadium and they can move there. Start up a rivalry with the team from Zamunda.

Blogger Johnny June 05, 2018 8:15 AM

I would feel bad about this stuff, except the people we are provoking are such butt holes.

And in other news, sounds like Trump wants to pick up on an FDR theme. A trial balloon I take it.

These people cannot help themselves, they are self absorbed and cannot see the optics. Trump, in my opinion, knows this intuitively and exploits this. Just as the NFL brings a resolution to the kneeling, someone or some group must perpetuate these terrible optics. This is the nature of the politics of popular Black culture which is, essentially, a social justice warrior subset.

Hotep Jesus has a term for this, "narcissistic victimhood". As SJWs are narcissists so too are all its subdivisions. I'm thinking back to the time when participation trophies were being rationalized, when public schools decried the use of the red pens used by teachers as a means of pointing out errors, and the disgusting practice of graduation ceremonies for kindergarten.

The very essence of our present condition:

War follows.

Blogger Timmy3 June 05, 2018 10:12 AM

It’s amazing that they only offered to send less than 10 people there. Considering that the Eagles didn’t kneel, what could be going on in their minds. They pretty much snubbed their audience with this stunt.

Blogger Cusefan44 June 05, 2018 10:21 AM

I wnet to an Eagles game last year after the controversy had boiled over. I would estimate at least 1/3 of the seats were empty. It shows as a sellout because the tickets were sold - but I think you overestimate how important the Eagles are to people. If the options available are financially support the Eagles and the anti-Americans trying to destroy the country, or support Trump and watch the games from your couch (if at all) - Trump is going to win that battle.

There's a reason why Trump keeps reigniting this issue...its not because he's an idiot, its because it is a HUGE winner for him.

Yep. Goodell must be furious right about now.

> Love the move, but did Trump just lose Pennsylvania? People here love football more than politics. We'll have to wait and see.

He may have lost Philadelphia, but it's been lost for decades so no one cares.

The vast majority of the Eagles players just spit in the faces of everyone who voted for Trump. That was like -10% of Philadelphia so they'll keep most of their fan base in the city, but lose tehm everywhere else. And the NFL ratings for next year will drop yet again.

Blogger Solon June 05, 2018 12:12 PM

Nah, Pennsylvania is behind the God Emperor.

The only Pennsylvanians that like the Eagles are people from Philly. Literally everyone else in the state is a Steelers fan.

Blogger James Dixon June 05, 2018 1:15 PM

> Literally everyone else in the state is a Steelers fan.

The Steelers also have a national following. They're probably either number two (after Dallas) or number three (after the Patriots) in the number of fans. The Raiders used to be up there too, but I get the impression they've dropped off the past two decades.

Blogger Ian Stein June 05, 2018 1:31 PM

Goodell 's staying in the locker room solution is doomed to backfire anyway. NFL is fubar.
Certain minorities tend to run everything into the ground once they assume control.

Blogger Anchorman June 05, 2018 1:42 PM

@16 That none of the Eagles knelt during the regular season was immaterial. Very, very likely the MSM story would be, "Only XX number of Eagles showed up. A historic low number, blah, blah blah."

Trump spotted there was going to be virtue signaling (players that snub the invite would be going SJW in local, carefully scouted DC neighborhoods) and an attempt to upstage him and his efforts to shame them for not respecting our nation. They wanted to humiliate the president and his supporters.

So, he cut it off before they could make their demonstration. And it was only a demonstration, because the Eagles players who were going to do community events in DC canceled their trip/optics.

It was never about helping the DC neighborhoods.

It's not even about the anthem.

It's jealousness that Americans give more respect to the producers and the people who sacrifice than SJWs and parasites.

Do you really think their snub of the White House was just about Trump? No way. It was directed at Trump, because he represents a larger coalition. It was directed at the coalition.

#33 Nah. There are plenty Eagle fans in the northern and midstate. Steeler fans just seem to think black and gold make acceptable living room color schemes.

Blogger VoodooJock June 05, 2018 2:24 PM

Based on my anecdotal evidence, I've met about 10 Steelers fans for every 1 Eagles fan. If Trump pissed off the Steelers' fan base, then he'd probably lose the state. Don't think that'll happen though. Those guys are pretty solid blue collar and probably have most to gain from Trump's economic policy moves.

Blogger Hammerli280 June 05, 2018 3:02 PM

Interesting development: At the daily press conference, Sarah Sanders was very careful to blame the Eagles ORGANIZATION. Not the players as such.

Blogger James Dixon June 05, 2018 5:07 PM

> Sarah Sanders was very careful to blame the Eagles ORGANIZATION. Not the players as such.

If the organization hadn't given some assurances the players would be there, the offer to meet with the team would never have been made.

Blogger The Deplorable Podunk Ken Ramsey June 05, 2018 6:33 PM

A curious thing may be heading down the pipe. The Eagles are out. Looks like the NBA teams currently vying for the title are signalling they'll boycott a White House visit, so they may be out, too.

And meanwhile the Washington Capitals may be about to win the Stanley Cup. And the Caps are a team dominated and led by who? Russians. This could become a crazy mess. Who said God did not have a sense of humor?

They will most likely be heading to the White House, proud and honored and happy to be going. They will demonstrate that Russians have more respect and reverence for America's traditions and forms than your average Democrat. And that's true!

Blogger DonReynolds June 05, 2018 7:11 PM

Blogger Ceerilan June 05, 2018 7:15 PM

It is the moral duty of all Americans to remind the NFL of the kneeling debacle for the next HUNDRED YEARS. They should never forget their shame or the fact their crimes make them unable to participate in civilization.

Blogger TM Lutas June 06, 2018 1:56 AM

Donald Trump is normalizing socially excluding rude leftists but that's only half the battle. The other half is throwing better parties and more interesting events so it becomes quite clear where the cool kids actually are.

There's a reason that they're going after Donald Trump's wife. She's very dangerous to the left and doesn't have to be political one bit in order to accomplish this. She just has to be stunning and awesome, which is well within her wheelhouse.

Blogger Roger G2 June 06, 2018 7:49 PM

Eagles have no chance of a Super Bowl repeat now. Cowboys fans everywhere(incl. myself) should be thankful for the Curse of the God-Emperor.
