Twitter suspends Spacebunny

Or rather, "suspends her account". Of course, "suspension" is Twitter-speak for banning.
Hello Spacebunny Day,

Your account, Spacebunnyday has been suspended for violating the Twitter Rules.

Specifically, for:

Violating our rules against abusive behavior.
You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.

Note that if you attempt to evade a permanent suspension by creating new accounts, we will suspend your new accounts.
Her thoughtcrime was to tell a very stupid woman who had been harassing her that she was stupid. Strange, I don't remember anyone ever being permanently suspended for telling me that.

@11: "Anti-trust lawsuits would be totally appropriate under the circumstances. Breaking up Google and Faceberg, and imposing public accommodation rules on Big Internet would take Winning to the next level."

Agreed. Also, Trump needs "normie-points" and I think a DOJ strike at big-tech for anti-trust would provide just that. Basically **no one** likes them. Even rank and file leftists (not media tools of course) mostly seem to despise them. They have the approval rating of syphillis. The whole industry has desperately needed this since the laughable ruling "punishing" Microsoft back in '01. There might also be some economic benefit from taking the wind out of internet compaines' sails. A lot of investment money flows into these companies that could be more usefully spent elsewhere. It's amazing to me how "tech" has now come to mean almost exclusively some guy tapping out JavaScript for some flashy new internet scam. People (and investors) need to be reminded that real technology is languishing with all the money being thrown at Ponzi-scheme.com companies. This redirection of investment could help bolster America's industrial revival and bring real industry back to the US. The US has the finest R&D labs in the world and needs to leverage that along with it's edge in robotics, nanotech, and 3D printing to become an industrial powerhouse again. This would put real teeth in MAGA.

@34: I concur. Although really new research, some of which IS going on, is damned hard. And a lot of it is "No Bucks, no Buck Rogers" - you have to put in a lot of capital to take cutting-edge research out of the lab and make it work in the field. Hypersonics being the best example of this. Or the electromagnetic catapult - General Atomics and the Navy have been working on that beast for over a decade, and only now making it work properly.

@ Alphaeus - Spacebunny's no idiot.
This is total BS. I followed the conversation yesterday periodically. @kristiemacris was trolling Spacebunny all day, and into late evening. @kristiemacris even elicited comments from James Woods. I saw over 700 responses listed to one of her idiotic tweets. She was at it until at least early this morning. Spacebunny is really adept at moving on in the Twitter platform. So when this idiot pursued her enough, Spacebunny finally explained, as had many others, that she was an idiot. The @kristiemcris it the idiot and troll. So of course Twitter bans Spacebunny.

TwitMo (SB term) again?

For this? When she and I were at Gab, I noted she was harrassed or had encounters with stupid people, stupid is often not self aware but dangerous.

So when someone like SB stands up for herself or says, something like, "your acting stupid," equates to thoughtcrime.

The idiot in question had the ability to block Spacebunny or to just stop tweeting to her. But, no, that is beyond a leftist these days.

I didn't mean it that way, not exactly. What I'm saying is, since Twitter tells you they're going to censor your speech, only somebody who was content to only utter speech approved by SJW's would want to hang around on Twitter.

So, what I meant to say was, as long as SpaceBunny tweets on Twitter, she'll only be allowed to tweet simple minded idiotic SJW approved ideas. I'd bet dollars to donuts that SpaceBunny is smart enough to do better than that.

@Noah B The Savage Gardener Anti-trust lawsuits would be totally appropriate under the circumstances:

Good idea, but anti-trust doesn't really seem to he a thing anymore. The recent ATT buyout of Time/ Warner went through without a hitch. Not only did the judge, Richard Leon, dismiss all of DOJ's arguments out of hand, he seemed positively giddy about the prospects for the merged company, and allowed it to proceed without any conditions at all. I hate to agree with WaPo, but I looks as if they're right on this one.

Any person who believes themselves to be white, yet refuses to take explicitly anti-White positions, is clearly engaged in the violent oppression of POCS via the egregious misuse of her white privilege.

Hate speech is violence, after all. Twitter was merely acting in self-defense. We cannot move forward together in the current year if we allow this sort of toxic expression of carnivorous, implicitly speciesist whiteness to go unchallenged.

It is not enough to deconstruct whiteness -- we must devour it.

QED

Blogger Skyler the Weird June 18, 2018 6:00 PM

Blogger tublecane June 18, 2018 6:23 PM

@Skyler the Weird

Something like that. Sometimes the victims of hate speech are the differently-sexually-preferenced, though -- in which case it would leave POQ marks (People of Queerness)

But trying to force-meme "speech = violence" is easier if you keep it at a more abstract level. The fewer specifics, the better. Except Ignatiev and vegans had to fit in there somehow.

And then the Voice saith,

Note that if you attempt to evade a permanent suspension by creating new accounts, we will suspend your new accounts.

But of course the voices lie, even if they speak an incomplete truth.

Completely off topic, burner phones are really a strain on the budget if you have to buy a series of them. Does anyone know how to get burner SIM cards that are cheap? That way I could "refresh" my phone every so often to give it a sparkling new number.

I could, of course just use the Burner app on my android phone to generate new numbers, but they will catch on to that, and then the corp that issues these numbers will sell them out.

Seriously, I would appreciate any help, as my budget is limited these days.

Twitterati just can't get a SpaceBunny for themselves. Jealousness. And that's just the dykes there. Unfortunately Gab is a pretty sad affair with no contender as a plausible alternative. There just aren't enough of us willing to go public who can sustain our own channel. I'll happily patent and counsel re inventions free of charge to reasonable limits but credible self-sustaining "us" channel and payment mechanisms are not apparent anytime soon. Thing is I can build it but it does require effort and there are total self-destructive dick wads amidst, and I'd be crushed professionally and personally associating with a community which they infiltrate. So I'm not moving the ball forward.

I can buy a burner ZTE and the phone itself actually performs excellently for $15 plus another $15 for plan, however, Jughdeed will sell you the bundle for $20 or so here. Destroy the phone and discard, exercise proper security behavior, and nobody can trace you back sufficient to indict.

Blogger tublecane June 18, 2018 7:29 PM

@25- That's true. Sites like Twitter are only useful for certain things: keeping in touch with what normal people think, sniping at the enemy, scattering red pills to the wind, etc.

Often I think they're barely better than yelling back at the radio or talking about the nightly news with three guys around the watercooler the next day. Notice how people are being led by the nose regarding the most recent 'Oh, won't somebody *please* think of the children!" ploy. Twitter traps you in the media box, responding to what they want you to respond to.

Then again, it did help Trump get elected. So it's better than the Big Three network days.

Thank you. However I prefer to use separate physical phones for my anonymous charity work. I know I'm paranoid, but I'm not certain the phone's IMEI is never transmitted, and I don't need to take the chance--I already have an anonymous charity phone. The trouble is that getting multiple SIM cards is a bit costly (they all assume you want a bunch of phone minutes). Can I get SIM cards with just, say, 30 minutes on them? Hmm. I can see why most carriers don't want to do business that way.

Completely off topic yet again, don't you get irritated that Big Tech can identify you by the frigging IP address you use? Back in the Dark Days of the Internet, before I helped Algor invent it, ISPs would have a policy of randomizing your IP address. I heard that this was to keep you from having a predictable IP so you couldn't run a web site, but that was just rumor. I've noticed that in this endlightened day and age, my IP stays the same for a long time. What is the purpose of ISPs doing this, I wonder? (He says naively.)

I use a VOIP service to connect to the world because I am conscientious about my privacy. That this causes my "home" IP address to be random is just a side effect, honest.

I am really amazed at how smart the people who run Twitter and The Book of Faces are, that they can see through such obfuscation and ban a person. (Not me, because I don't use either of those services.)

By the way, I promise to use my powers only for good. My slogan isn't "do no evil", but as a matter of principle, I avoid doing anything illegal. I recommend this policy as a wise one.

Blogger Sidehill Dodger June 18, 2018 7:48 PM

Someone Unwisely wrote:Destroy the phone and discard, exercise proper security behavior, and nobody can trace you back sufficient to indict.

Out of consideration for our host, if nothing else, I stress that I am doing nothing illegal or counter to the security of the United States of America, nor do I advocate that anyone else do anything illegal or traitorous. If you do illegal stuff, then you are dumb to talk about it anywhere, and they will catch you.

No security is absolute. The safest place for a zebra is the middle of the herd. True, the lazy lion usually brings down the slowest, gimpy zebra. But sometimes they get ambitious and lay an ambush ahead of the herd. Neither a leader nor a follower be applies in the field of security.

I trust no one is naive enough to think that No Such Agency can't find you if they really want to. I am of no interest whatever to them, so I am perfectly safe. I recommend this policy.

Blogger Peter Parker June 18, 2018 7:50 PM

I would agree with the "Mark of the Beast" comment Vox made on another thread. This morning, I almost spit up my breakfast when the hotel TV blared out the Today show. It was a segment glorifying a 10 year "drag queen". I was utterly shocked.

Spacebunny, or anyone else, can be permabanned for simply disagreeing with one of the favored political positions de jure, but normal people have to be subjected to blatantly perverted, satanically-inspired glorification of children suffering from the transgender delusion - fully supported by their woefully inadequate parents - on a mainstream morning news program.

Yet years ago, when the whole "gays just wanna get married" propaganda was being pushed with the bogus caveat of "nobody will be forced to participate against their religious beliefs" anyone who warned of the slippery slope was ridiculed.

So now, anyone daring to speak eternal truths are not only vilified, but deplatformed under the guise of not allowing others to be offended. But these godless leftist crazies sure don't mind offending the hell out of the rest of us, do they?

Blogger Mark Stoval June 18, 2018 7:56 PM

"I avoid doing anything illegal. I recommend this policy as a wise one."

There was this guy who wrote a book called "Three Felonies a Day" which tried to document that you are breaking federal law without even knowing it. And, the mens rea or "guilty mind" requirement of western law is long gone.

I often wonder which felonies I committed today.

Who said anything about USA in this surveillance context? Twitter was the focus. By extension private entities such as Google, required to post here, finding information one may wish not to disclose.

What are you, a pedophile Sidehill Dogger 79? Go see a medical doctor and get yourself fixed and then visit a counselor after the cutting off. Eff.

If they actually thought we were what they say we are, they would never day say it.

And if we really were what they pretend to believe we are, they would not be there to say it.

The cognitive dissonance must take a toll on them.

VFM 424 here--has anybody tried MeWe as a twatter alternative? A buddy got me to sign up a week ago but I haven't been back.

they would suspend Trump if they could get away with it.
That must gnaw at them continuously. The only account that matters to them they can't delete.

That's complete horseshit. I love waking up to some @spacebunnyday careful dissections. Foxes, chooks and puppies, too.

Blogger Edgar Abbey June 18, 2018 9:10 PM

Sorry to hear that Spacebunny was suspended as I was enjoying her recent dismantlement of a woman who was using the number of immigrant-founded Fortune 500 companies as justification for illegal immigration.

Your imagination isn't as good as mine, then. I mean, (AFAIK) he hasn't (yet) identified as a little girl and written a meandering manifesto about how ACKSHUALLY it isn't child molestation when he plays with himself, framing his PROOF in the form of tortured and confused metaphors about training porpoises at Sea World.

There is always room to get creepier and more pathetic.

"
If Twitter wants to act like a public utility it's time to regulate them!"

IF they want to be immune from the traffic put on their networks by others, then they CANNOT INSPECT the traffic.

If they inspect ANY traffic, that makes them 100% liable for any criminal traffic (and chargeable as accessories in the crime, too), for failing to block the criminal traffic.

It's time to find a prosecutor willing to enforce the laws.

Either Twitter, etc. abides by the common carrier laws (no censhorship) or they are liable, under both civil and criminal law, for EVERY SINGLE WORD that their network is used for

Inspection has never been the US standard. Control in the form of editorial revision or blockage/failure to block is closer to the US standard. No host is responsible for EVERY SINGLE WORD that their network is used for. That's never applied.

"Don't use a tactic today, because someday in the future it won't work" is extremely bad planning.

By sacrificing the use of the tactic today, you are conceding the win to the enemy as if they have ALREADY done the work to defeat your tactic.

Good God, with loser-mentality thinkers like you, who needs defeatists?

@Jack and his house of American-hating H1B's needs to be incinerated. During a mandatory company all-hands meeting. With ALL doors chained and padlocked.

This was the last straw. First Milo, then Vox, now Spacebunny, and I would rarely see many other Ilk (who probably have more sense than me) tweet anymore. There were still some decent, interesting accounts worth following but to be honest I was burning a lot of time without much reward or impact. My account is no more, nuked in every way I possibly could beforehand to prevent future prying by SJWs. Nothing personal to anyone here whom I was still following. Now the withdrawal begins...

Wrong. The Commmon Carrier principles were drawn up with respect to telephone companies. Telephone companies can't edit, they can only listen in ("inspect") and cut-off service to anyone on the "enemies list"

Since telephone companies are STILL under Common Carrier status, I'm sure that "inspection" is still in there. And you can't edit what you didn't inspect.

Ah! But the Belcelebrons were asking for it, those unhoopy bastards. However given the post Trump/Brexit lockdown we may have to become telepathic or figure out some samizdat system to keep free speech alive, because that January 17 Media Matters memo was the first shot and the subsequent attacks on freedom/access are the proof.

Blogger Matthew McDaniel June 19, 2018 3:16 PM

@mark Stovall ensuring that every man is breaking the law by simply living is an old soviet tactic. Breaks men’s souls down.
