You knew Marvel would make me a villain

Sooner or later. It was inevitable.

The Kree’s homeworld of Hala is in ruin, but the alien empire has sounded the call to war and directed it at the Inhumans. They have sent Black Bolt a direct message, “Join or Die.” But this is no ordinary message. It’s written in blood. The blood of Inhumans. The blood of 11,038 Inhumans. That’s right. The Kree Empire butchered 11,038 Inhumans to send Black Bolt a message that he will join the Kree Empire or die.

These 11,038 Inhumans wouldn’t be the only casualties. Four Inhuman queens would also perish at the hands of the Kree.

And they would be joined by some of Black Bolt’s closest allies. Triton falls to the Kree when he is unable to escape the blast radius of a bomb left as a trap for Black Bolt and his Royal Family.

Triton wouldn’t be the only one close to Black Bolt to perish. He would be joined by Lockjaw and Maximus who fell to the ferocious power of a brand new villain and the first of a brand new race to the Marvel Universe. This villain is a Super-Inhuman known as Vox. This new villain, Vox, is described as the “voice and the wrath of the gods. He is the full-throated scream of the Kree Empire.”

Except the real Vox doesn't want the subhumans - as the SJWs at Marvel are more properly known - to join the Evil Legion of Evil. What are the odds that Vox's evil minions are both vile and faceless?

He cannot be swayed or tricked or bought, for he wants nothing but his enemies' hearts to stop beating.

See, now that does sound familiar.... As does the New Arkhaven... I mean, Arctilan. And they did get the scythe right too. But where is Spacebunny?

Are they oblivious to how much of a compliment this is?

That's an honor. The charcters evilness will be proportional to the amount of fear you induce in them.

WTFF? That's practically Black Bolt's costume and head gizmo. A clone of the super-good guy? They already did that with Cable.

Blogger SemiSpook37 July 04, 2018 8:17 PM

Hell, who even reads Inhumans anymore? If they REALLY cared, they’d have put you in the Iron Man or Thor reboot.

Then again, I remember who we’re dealing with, and I remember that intelligence was never their strong suit.

That sounds badass. I cant help but wonder if there's a VFM at Marvel nudging things in a certain direction.

They were referring to the other Vox whose following was described by the other John Wright.

Blogger Megamerc July 04, 2018 8:28 PM

I hope they also get the VFM's title for Vox right. If they don't call him the Dark Lord it will be a disappointment.

It's funny. They can't beat him in real life, so they have to fantasize about him losing. Instead they add to his legend

Blogger ghostfromplanetspook July 04, 2018 8:28 PM

I think I may be missing something on the 11,038 number. Is it significant in any way?

Blogger Jew613 July 04, 2018 8:33 PM

Wow, this is extremely cool. Sadly the Inhumans TV show has already been canceled, because seeing a super-villain version of Vox with his army of (hopefully) faceless and vile minions would have been awesome. Congratulations Vox, this is an incredible compliment. Maybe they'll make an Inhumans movie with you as the main antagonist.

Blogger Wolfman at Large July 04, 2018 8:35 PM

They'll refer to him as the Lord of Insufficient Light purely for copyright reasons.

Blogger Lovekraft July 04, 2018 8:37 PM

There is a precedent for this at Marvel when the X-Men villain S'ym was created after Dave Sim (who had previously declined working for the company).

Blogger Anno Ruse July 04, 2018 8:38 PM

Given the lead times of most comics of around 6 months, the FreeStartr campaign ending in October (and the several months lead up to that), we're right in line with them deciding to make Vox a villain when he moved to get into comics.

This is intentional. And some free advertising.

Vox, is described as the voice and the wrath of the gods.
'Voice ... of the gods' would be 'Vox Deorum.' That's nothing like 'Vox Day' or 'Vox Dei.' False alarm. They meant someone else.

Besides, if you DuckDuckGo "11038," you get a map of Yeoncheon-gun
Gyeonggi-do, which is North of Seoul, South Korea. Vox didn't leave any towers of skulls or thrones of bones there, did he?

Blogger SmockMan July 04, 2018 9:15 PM

Your comet to the stars just arrived. Make as much controversy out of this as possible because it will do nothing but build your empire. Or you could just go into business creating controversy for others. That would be worth real money.

Blogger DJ | AMDG July 04, 2018 9:59 PM

And this is just another example of how out of touch Marvel is. Nobody. And I mean nobody gives a rat’ a&& about the Inhumans and King Passive Aggressive - Black Bolt. BB is so ridiculously powerful he could destroy the Earth with one long scream (prbly killing himself in the process), but instead he regularly gets his butt handed to him. Haters gonna hate on the Inhumans, and that includes me. Lamest Marvel characters ever.

Blogger Ingot9455 July 04, 2018 10:06 PM

The actor who played Black Bolt in the horrible recent TV series was really amazing; in that he played a character who could never speak and didn't have a sign-language out. But he was good at communicating even to people he'd never met and it was portrayed in such a way that it was rational.
Unfortunately he was the only thing watchable about the show for the 3-4 episodes I managed to stay awake for and I couldn't go on to figure out if he kept it up.

Blogger Reasonably Honest July 04, 2018 10:19 PM

So how do the Legal Legion of Evil get to be portrayed?

Evil lawyers. As in, even among the members of the bar they are considered to be evil. Extraordinarily evil members of the legal profession. How will they be made manifest?

If Vox has a favorite charity, autographed copies would be the best use of this idiocy. As a knife twist request Marvel for gratis copies. It's for charity, after all. A double whammy if they refuse to help a charity. "It's for the children!!"

Blogger My Dead Gramps July 04, 2018 11:02 PM

notice also that SJWs always project.

what makes Vox evil? "“Join or Die.” ... to send Black Bolt a message that he will join the Kree Empire or die"

Teddy Beale doesn't want everyone on the planet to be an American. Teddy Beale doesn't demand the annihilation of all nations. what on earth could Milkshake Marvel be talking about?

well, go back to the Communist Manifesto.
Marx gave the entire world a choice between two options:
1 - join the Proletarians in their universal government
2 - Die

hunh.

how oddly familiar.

only, they've used Who / Whom dichotomy to define the exact program that they are demanding as a supposed "Moral Good", they're accusing Vox of it and then they call it evil because the bad person wants it.

@Resident Moron

“But where is Spacebunny?”

Seriously can't wait to see what shameful, awful, bad bad bad, no good, naughty version of her they come up with. I mean, for purposes of shaming of course. Not b/c the version they come up with will be ridiculously over the top hot and bad ass sexy.

Because that kind of thing is just awful.

I'm only attracted to fat, short wymyn who wear combat boots and know how to tell a man what his place is. That's the only kind of wymyn I'm attracted to. And even then only with written permission. Which I renew every year in triplicate after appearing before a committee. Everything else is just gross.

I think that while they are at it, they should also shame Mr Beale by giving his marvel alter-ego the power to hypnotize women using his Evil alone. This will prove that the women in Mr Beale's life don't actually love him for who he is, they are only with him because he overwhelms them with his mental dominance and powerful thrusting will.

In fact, I'll bet most of the women in Mr Beale's life were never really attracted to him for being a wonderful kind man, but they were only with him for his power and iron willed dominance. And Evil of course. Can't forget the Evil. This is because all those women were weak and insecure and never met a really loving caring man. Shame on you Mr. Beale! Bad Patriarchy!

Marvel can also further this point by giving their shameful version of Vox a harem of silly nubile slave girls with an average BMI of 18, Waist-Hip ration of around .67, height between 65-67 in, 35' hips, 23' waist, and bust sizes between 34'-36'.

And on top of that, these harem slave girls are so pathetic they actually willingly begged to become his sex slaves. Some of them betrayed their worlds just for the privilege of calling themselves his slaves. To date, Kree-Vox has conquered an extra 13 independant planets and 4 galactic civilizations just by that method alone. The last civilization had all it's defense codes handed over to him by the female prime minister whose only request from Vox was that he allow her to lie supine at his Evil feet with his boot on her head after she betrayed her people and military. Which he did of course, and then gave an Evil laugh.

There was even one planet where all the women exterminated each other in a desperate competition to get the right to be one of his slaves after a position was vacated on the harem. The winner murdered her remaining rivals by nuking the last city while she was hunkered underground with her "boyfriend" whom she subsequently poisoned.

Then as a final F-U, they can show the evil spacebunny as being so insecure that she finds the entire thing simply amusing instead of degrading. As if she knows that all the other pathetic women in the harem don't even come close to getting Vox's attention. What attention that evil Kree-Vox will spare for the female gender of course.

Take that patriarchy!

Comic SJW coordinate their hits just like they do elsewhere. Expect DC, et. al., to follow suit shortly because they will want to this message to be loud and clear.

And it will, and we shall laugh at them.

(Note that they went with the Inhumans as their stand-ins, who--like the Mutants--tend to be proxies for SJWs themselves. Inherent specialness, needs just a passive procedure to bring out (vs. Mutant powers just happening), and everyone else hates/fears you for what you are. Yet there is a hierarchy of power, and woe to those who dare defy it- remember, Black Bolt is King and speech kills for him.)
