BIC previews Arkhaven covers

If you'd like to get an early look at several Alt★Hero-related covers, Bounding Into Comics has them, as well as early descriptions of AH:Q #1 and AH#6. And if you haven't backed AH:Q yet, I'm entirely confident that you're going to want to do so.

In addition to the progress we're making on the production front, there are also some potentially significant developments taking shape on the logistical front. It's nothing I can talk about yet, but if one of the programs we're proposing works out, it is going to fundamentally change the way that people think about crowdfunding campaigns. And AH:Q will very likely be one of the first test cases proving the concept.

Later this week, we'll begin the final campaign push, and start introducing actual pages complete with lettering to give everyone a better grasp of the specific story being told. Based on some things that are being revealed about Marvel, it may prove to be considerably more relevant than I, for one, would ever have imagined.

There's a Japanese tentacle demon down ion those catacombs isn't there. Oh well it's a small price to pay for authentic Asian cuisine. Diversity is strength.

Amazing beautifully colored from the black and white image from earlier.

Both are hits, totally cool.

God leads us to so much, the next project, the next mission of power of the pen truth.

LOL. That cover is great.

This looks good! Already a backer.

Side note: got Gun Ghoul printed edition. Art & story are very good, I am impressed by the print quality. Looks like inkjet with excellent color rendition and detail. Is it printed on demand?

Matte paper spoils the fun a bit though, makes contrast a bit low, especially when reading in sunlight. I'd pay extra for glossy. The price is very good though. 18€ for 116 pages!

The few dialogues in French are full of bad grammar and typos. I'd be happy to email fixed dialogue if you want.

Are you going to trigger the ComicsGateKeepers again?

Lovely work on both covers, but more important is the logistics element of things.

Let's see how much the final push can get us on Q.

Is it printed on demand?

Yes. They have excellent new printers, but they're not running at full capacity yet.

We've looked at it. It's really not worth the additional price, especially if/when they ever crank the printers up to full capacity.

Thanks, but we don't even have the files that would be required for that. Remember, we just publish Dark Legion comics, we don't create them. We don't control the content.

Are you going to trigger the ComicsGateKeepers again?

No, I don't think so, but the eventual outcome might surprise some people.

Wow, this technology is amazing. Thanks for the reply. Customer support is top-notch here!

Amazing job! Alt-Hero keeps getting better and better. You, Chuck & team have a lot to be proud of.

Glad to see the European Alt Hero is coming around an issue sooner than I expected. Thankfully the wait isn't anywhere near the wait for the next novel in a series, but I'm envying people that watch TV shows and only have to wait a week between episodes.

I'm going to Captain Obvious without suggesting anything particularly helpful again. The original Alt Hero crowdfunding campaign did stretch goals very well, this campaign has 1 stretch goal that was revealed when it was hit. You aren't using the carrot at all and there's no threat of a stick.

I appreciate you don't want stretch goal creep, I appreciate you don't want to give yourself a ton of work like you did with the original campaign, etc.

Just a quick review:

Extra volumes - You said you don't want to do them this time. Understandable. They were helpful because anyone that backed for volumes 1,2 and 3 could back again for 4-9 and Avalon 1-6.

2 novels with you co-authoring them, 1 by Chuck Dixon - Again it's more content, putting aside the issue of you being co-author for 2 of them.

The 100k stretch goal was the 15 minute video that was changed after the 100k was hit. - In retrospect the actual video was always going to be disappointing or would require an insane amount of work, this was an exciting goal at the time though.

Cosplay - I have no idea if there's a large crowd of people motivated to back for this. It's hard to gauge for me. (Not being positive or negative, I literally don't know.)

Map of Avalon - This seems cool and got a good response.

Website - This was cool.

RPG - Adding a game to the project is probably one of those things you'd rather not do. This was exciting though.

The point I'm trying make is, even without adding a ton of extra content to get the original backers to effectively make the same deal again, you aren't tempting fence sitters to buy more stuff to unlock shiny things for everyone.

As I said, I'm not offering helpful suggestions. None of the following are intended as serious suggestions (the Alex Jones cameo would be a good idea, but you're already working on something along those lines anyway), but stretch goals can generate enthusiasm without needing to add a stupid amount of content:

Alex Jones cameo 85k.

Milo reads the audiobook 100k.

Personalized one line mp3 message from Alex Jones 0/25 115k.

Vox Day dramatic reading of a Chuck Tingle novel live on Darkstream 125k.

150k, Jack Broccoli makes a cameo.

@14 - What about a Chuck Tingle dramatic reading of a Vox Day novel?

BBC are reporting that Amazon are investigating their own staff for accepting bribes to allow sellers to have negative reviews removed, to provide sales data, etc.

Any odds these are the same principled leftists who keep messing with your stuff?

Chuck Tingle has no truck with Reverse Twins or Voxmen or other such creatures of the Void.

heck, Chuck didn't have any truck with Truckman until after he was dead.

Jumping straight to #6? How about a cover preview for #5?

Quick question for Vox and the Arkhaven team.
I intend to back the Q series. I want the Q The Fire Rises t-shirt but don't want to wait until November 2019 to receive it. Which is the timeline currently showing. Will the t-shirts be available earlier so that we can get Q out in the public's faces earlier than next year?
