Maybe a good way to get through to them would be to remind them that Israel also has a wall, restricted immigration, and an openly nationalist president. Great way to make a churchian squirm is to ask why can't America have what Israel has?

I don't call myself a nationalist politically because I consider most all contemporary nation-states, including ours, to be too large. And far too far to the left. Perhaps the original nationalist movements were too leftist for me as well. I'm not even sure about the whole Enlightenment thing.
But I do believe in the self-determination of peoples, and I am for the interests and defense of my own country. At least until it breaks up. Not its empire, though.
Sub-nationalist I would be ideally, because the different peoples currently populating our country can't live together.

Not really, but like many of us who grew up in the 50s to 80s, Trump remembers something that felt like one which is worth fighting for. It's one thing to know that America was a federation of nations which became an empire and should (and will) break back up into smaller nations. It's another thing to abandon it to people who burn our flag and wave "Your grandchildren will be brown" signs on the way here to let us know their intentions.

Trump's calling attention to the caravan is a novel tactic. He knows that once the invaders reach the US border, he legally can't do anything to them. He has tried to stop them reaching the border but that requires other countries to do something not in their interest.
Trump calculation might be that by calling attention, he frames the narrative and points out the poorly crafted laws that tie his hands-- great for mid-term elections?
We don't need Mexico to stop them if we stop them in Mexico. We've flown twelve thousand miles to stop a handful of goat herders. We can march ten miles south to turn people around. If Mexico can't control their side of the border, we will.

A huge part of the problem is that there are only 51 GOP senators, including several unreliable squishes. The #1 priority is getting those low-hanging red-state Democrats tossed out of office and replaced with Republicans. Otherwise, Trump won't be able to do anything about the squatemalans. At least, that doesn't make all the bleeding-hearts and cucks bitch at him, like the family separation policy.

We just need you to approve their immediate Medicaid status....just temporarily, of course."

Of course there is. You start arresting these treasonous judges and throwing them in solitary confinement.
Pretty difficult to hold court while all alone in a cold dark room.

Of course, Churchill could have avoided the entire thing by just signing a treaty with the Germans.

What does a troll do if it makes a concrete prediction just a couple weeks out, and it's quickly falsified?
Hypothesis 1: A troll is just a misunderstood genius who is hated for speaking unpalatable truths. Therefore, confronted with evidence that its mental models are flawed, it will do an autopsy of where it went wrong and revise them accordingly. As honest, rational people do. So, its future predictions will be sensibly different.
Hypothesis 2: A troll is an NPC whose predictions are based on its Narrative programming, so any relation to reality is purely coincidental. It has no models to revise, and even if it did, it has no independent thought to revise them with. So, its predictions will pivot with its flock when their storyline changes, no sooner or later.
Hypothesis 3: A troll is a performance artist whose predictions are based on attempting to provoke a reaction, so not only is any relation to reality coincidental, but so is any relation to its own actual beliefs. Its predictions will change in an opaque manner as it discards gambits with unsatisfying reactions and tries new ones.
For a while now I have been calling myself a Loyalist, rather than a nationalist because I viewed nationalist movements in Italian and German unification as globalist, and all the nationalist parties were left-wing civic nationalists. However I was just trying to run away from the word nationalist. This was a mistake on my part and the God Emperor help me realize it.
The man has an uncanny instinct for the right time to say certain things. And the right way to say them. He leads people to water before asking them to drink (to torture a metaohor).
