Bono is evil

The Big Bear takes on the unsuspected evil that is Bono.
After several comments told me I was way off on Bono, given my personality, I had no other choice than to do a bunch of research on him and dedicate an entire episode to further prove my point that he is vile. Enjoy! The pope, harvey weinstein, bill clinton, ONE charity, tax evasion, hypocrisy, theft, fake environmentalism, weird album covers, and much much more!
It's pretty bad. Bono is considerably weirder and more hypocritical than even those who instinctively dislike him tend to suspect. The fact that his charity ONE has given less than two percent of the money it has raised to anyone in need is merely the tip of what appears to be a deeply troubling iceberg of the usual evil. I even contributed in a very modest way to this video, as I sent the Big Bear my observations concerning some lyrics from the U2 song "One" that he noticed seemed a little strange in a previous video.

Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law

Love is a temple = Ordo Templi Orientis, an occult order to which Aleister Crowley belonged. From Infogalactic: After spending time in Algeria, in 1912 Crowley was initiated into another esoteric order, the German-based Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.), rising to become the leader of its British branch, which he reformulated in accordance with his Thelemite beliefs.

Love the higher law = The Book of the Law, the sacred text of Thelema, a pagan cult religion. From Infogalactic: The central sacred text of Thelema, written down from dictation mostly by Aleister Crowley. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will." The law of Thelema was developed in the early 1900s by Aleister Crowley, an English writer and ceremonial magician.

Well, duh.

Any multimillionaire who runs around the world on a private jet telling his much less financially well off fans that THEY have to give more money (to his charity, of course) is a prime victim for the guillotine.

Bono isn't evil, he's far worse. He's a delusional, utopian, leftist fantasist, a sanctimonious little swine. Maybe if he was given the nobel peace prize he'd shut up and we'd get a welcome break from his ranting.

The U2 360 concert I saw was probably the best show i’ve ever seen and these guys were my favorite band right up until my mid-twenties. It kind of sucked when I grew up and began to suspect that Bono was either a charlatan, con, or both. It also sucks because I still love their sound (although not their lyrics). Say what you will about the Edge’s skill, his sound fills out an arena.

At this stage in life I am somewhat frustrated as a fan of music. Rock has become largely effeminate. Country has become pop. Rap, well, I probably don’t need to explain that.

About all I have left is Texas Country/Western, classic rock, and EDM, which I can appreciate because I enjoy rhythm and there’s virtually no lyrics to poison the music.

Here’s to hoping things change in the entertainment industry....

As Big Dear states, art is open to interpretation; it is so because it incorporates ambiguity; yet, it is the artist's responsibility to guide that ambiguity to create a multilevel meaning; beyond a certain point the artist loses control over over the meaning: the trajectory is set and the artist desires that the his intended meaning organizes the unknown elements.

It is a principle in philosophy - or at least it was - that the higher power or principle organizes the lesser powers and elements.

David,
Have you thought about the Great Masters or the music that inspired those masters?

To go through and provide even a cursory survey would take a huge post, so in what I write below I randomly touch on what comes and sticks out in my “forebrain”. ⨟u)

It may sound like a cliché, but those old white composers were really on the ball!

There is, of course those with names most familiar to public ears: Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Shubert, Mosart, Brahms etc.

[aside]
They are all among my favorites, though I like the Bachs best...they were a very musical family!
[aside end]

There are also other types of music, like sea shanties, choiral, chamber music, gregorian chant, folk, dance, etc.

There have also beem a huge number of studies indicating that, unlike modern “music”, there are health benefits (mental and physical) in listening to the music of Western Civilization.

BTW∶While I'm certain that there is substance to those studies, I'll point out I'm not a “fuddy-duddy”. I love 1940's through 1990's “ballads”: country western, 1950's pop, Uriah Heep (is that Heavy Metal?), America and Kansas (e.g., Leftoverture) are all great for me. And Weird Al.

I hope I've been able to help. I realize I have weird tastes, but the Old Masters really *did* produce the apex music of Western Civilization.

OTOH, how much stock can one put in advice given by a guy whose tastes in, for example, literature run from Heinlein and Niven to the Iliad and Elder Etta?

I never liked Bono and stopped listening to U2 years ago, (although I still remember they used to sing old rebel songs, man how they've changed) but while I and most Irishmen hated him for his hypocrisy and his condescension (he is infamous here for not paying his taxes and then telling us what we should do politically) I had no idea he was into all this occult stuff.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve intended to check out the great composers of the past for about two decades, but haven’t, because of laziness :) Perhaps it is time that I should. I also like the old western songs that I have come across pre-1950’s, but just happened upon them more than I searched them out.

I’m definitely not giving up on music, but I think every person wants to be proud of their own generation’s music/art contribution, and with the exception of very few, my fellow millenials (who have plenty of talent) have not contributed much.

"There have also beem a huge number of studies indicating that, unlike modern “music”, there are health benefits (mental and physical) in listening to the music of Western Civilization."

I seem to recall that in the late 1800's some remote "factory towns", it was not unheard of for factory owners to hire a band, usually on a permanent basis, to play songs so that the workers would be more productive. Due to the noise level, these tended to be brass ensembles, with a tuba carrying the beat, typically playing marches. What have, over the years, come to be called "oompah bands." This tended to be more common with German factory owners than, say, Scottish.

"
Yeah, that Benny Hill is hilarious!"

I was always impressed with his songs, which were somehow sung at a rate so fast that I could just barely make out a line here and there. They seemed pretty funny at the time.

Then recently, I came across a website which had the words to a dozen or so of his songs .... and I discovered that he was no more creative than your typical Retard Attempting Poetry (you'll get it) type... Half or more of each song being assembled from a collection of rhyming couplets, which were re-used, over and over. I think the "speed singing" was part of the technique to hide from the audience that 50%-90% of each song was just rearrangement of the same filler that he had used in songs in the previous several shows.

As someone was saying recently about watching some old weekly shows back-to-back... while old Benny's technique can work well in a one show per week presentation rate, it doesn't stand up to being viewed as a collective whole. Sad.

There might be a lot of it out there, but the gatekeepers at the broadcast radio stations only want to broadcast stinky pop music sung with a nasal twang, and Retards Attempting Poetry. Whatever good music millenials are making, (there is some that I've heard), it's being deliberately embargoed by the major labels and the radio stations. Few songs are so catchy that they grab you the very first time you hear them. Most songs, even good ones, require repeated exposure before the melody sticks in your mind.

Here is, for me, one exception to you need repeated exposures rule. The first time, I heard it in a friend's car, on some obscure satellite radio channel. (The Chill Channel???)

TONS of videos made off of this song... This is the one I found a couple days after first hearing the song in my friend's car.
This, I believe is the original publicity video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XauQF0rGt-s

The video is well-crafted, it has a plot, tells a story, the mood changes in time with the music, and the implied story seems to parallel the lyrics, even if imperfectly. But listen to the first link first (accompanied by a still image of the album cover which the song was released on).

The Red Cross seems to be the absolute worst offender. And they get a free pass, because people at the docks and airports and border crossing points just assume that a big, padlocked steel box painted with the Red Cross logo *MUST* be full of valuable medical supplies, and not, say, currency, gold ingots, or contraband.

Right behind them is Doctors without Borders/Medecines sans Frontiers. I've come across several reports of them being behind a load of nefarious stuff, with the medical staffers just being used as both front groups and self-propelled sympathy cards.

And most recently, the "White Helmets" organization in Syria... ostensibly providing medical care to wartorn cities, video clips of/by White Helmet personnel have come out giving concrete support to the accusations by both Assad and the Russians that White Helmets is who's DIRECTLY responsible for all of the chemical casualties in Syria.

I recall when MTV and victims of hollywood like Edward Furlong of the Terminator franchise was talking up U2, it was obnoxious.

Catholic Charities is a cruel joke, they dont care and do not help their own, I asked them for help many times, cold shoulder but what do I care, the Lord has my back.

Bono is evil. I don't doubt it, but wasn't he recently praised by the church?

Benny Hill - Yes, but it's a dry humor.

It's pretty remarkable how the cooking shows move with the narrative. Hurricane Katrina? Cajun and Creole cooking became the hot culture and cooks from New Orleans were on every show. Then Mexican hot chocolate and tres leches desserts were all the rage. Then we were all supposed to love some African spice blend called Harrisa, I think. Don't forget Paula Dean's down home appeal, until rayciss happened, or Barefoot Contessa's gay friends who always showed up. All of packed in and around the cover story of teaching. Hansel and Gretel aimed at unobservant women.

Indeed. After that it was a sermon with some music.

Main reason I never went. If I want a sermon I go to church.

After 9/11 I expected U2's next album to be harsher, dealing with realities of globojihad/middleeast psycopathy. |

Instead we got "Sweetest Thing" with Bono touting the Elvis Costello glasses. Hokey and weak.

U2 to Bono are globalist wedded to the industry of filth, nothing more. Any kiss of the RCC Pope of telling us white women its cool to marry non white Muslims is evil along with Bono.

Bono is evil just like when POTUS called CNN an enemy of the people -

Unless I am wrong that is what I understand, another silent gen and baby boomer giving dyscivic retarded advice to those whom give money/homage to the Catholic Charities/RCC.

Snopes wants to tell us its all a lie:

Pope Francis has compared Jesus Christ to the leader of an Islamic terrorist death cult and suggested Christian missionaries have a lot in common with members of ISIS, during a wide-ranging and shocking interview in which he also openly promoted socialism and ordered European women to “breed” with Muslim migrants in order to counter “declining birth rates.”

“Today, I don’t think that there is a fear of Islam as such but of ISIS and its war of conquest, which is partly drawn from Islam,” he told French newspaper La Croix. “It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam, however, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.”

Vat 1, 2, the JFK matter is RCC in utter error.

Islam wishes to win via demographics/birth rate, the pope is silent about that, he will retire or step down like the ineffective Sessions did.

The lyrics in question are prefaced with "You say" meaning that he's quoting the subject of the song, which I always assumed was a woman since almost every song on that record is a break-up song. "God is love" is Christian doctrine from Scripture, but it's also one of the most misunderstood and misused parts of Christian doctrine. The conflation of Christian love with lust and desire is a rather constant theme in U2's music, thinking about it now. The same record, Achtung Baby, ends with "Love is Blindness" which is a message quite opposite to the Christian idea of love.

U2 radically changed their image at the time of this record. They went from 80s earnest protest rockers to electro-glam rock. Bono created a couple alter egos at this time. The first was called The Fly. The second, if I recall, was "Mr. Mephisto" and was an explicitly satanic character, kind of like Mick Jagger.

U2 have always claimed to be good Irish Catholics, but this issue deserves looking into. By their fruits ye shall know them.

U2's album from the 80s, _October_, was the basis for Bono's Christian claims, or it used to be. That's the one with the hit song, _Gloria_:

"I try to sing this song
I, I try to stand up
But I can't find my feet
I try, I try to speak up
But only in you I am complete

Gloria in te Domine
Gloria exultate
Gloria, Gloria
Oh Lord, loosen my lips" etc.

That album had a number of good pro-Christian songs. I clung to it at the time because I wanted to find Christian rock that was decent and that was difficult to do at the time. With every new U2 release I was hopeful, but almost always disappointed. Bono's reputation as a poetic master lyricist is way over-blown. Frankly he's just not that good mostly. He has a few moments, but most of his stuff is drivel. He's sloppy and often simply throws together images and sounds haphazardly.

The _October_ album receded into isolation in the U2 catalogue. Bono moved on, only occasionally hearkening back to the Christian themes. Then he began to say things such as religion is what lets us love and hate. That's got to be one of the dumbest way to describe religion I've ever heard. It became clear he was just throwing around religious imagery without much thought, which is the same treatment he gives to most things poetically. It's just another blotch on his palette to swab. Part of his act and persona.

He was a major disappointment to me. I thought he had already peaked and gotten absurd before _The Joshua Tree_.

I chanced on a documentary about U2 and it makes a decent case for them being a subversive influence in some Christian churches as well as their association with bad actors and promoting satanists. It's available free for those with Amazon Prime.

I'm also in the midst of reading "The Frontman" which addresses Bono's "charitable" work.

Then there's the fact that Bono got along well with George W. Bush...

I've only been Vox's blog for about a year but I've been surprised at how my interest has been independently piqued by some of the same bad actors as Vox has highlighted.

I would also suggest Devin Townsend, especially his song “deadhead” as well as an old Christian heavy band called Project 86.

I thought Bono was of a (((certain ethnic commonality))) with his fellow Irishman Saint Bob Geldof-feeder of the world.

He's a piker by comparison to a certain someone he referred to as an "ignorant lout". L. Ron Hubbard, despite being far less intelligent, was far more successful in creating his cult.

I first became aware that Bono was not your typical hypocritical rich person and was actually evil when he championed the song Kill the Boer which advocates genocide.

I think you would like the Danish band Kashmir, especially their songs "Jewel Drop" and "The Cynic" (the latter features David Bowie on vocals)

And for an EDM kick, Gus Gus is a good band.

Blogger Dirk Manly November 08, 2018 10:15 PM

Anything associated with David Bowie is highly suspect from the get-go.

JJ Cale, Widespread Panic and the Grateful Dead - prior to Jerry's death.
Despite their connections to Ken Kesey - a man with murky connections to CIA LSD - for the Dead it really was all about the music.

Hevy Devy has made some amazing music, but he is spiritually fucked up.

Nothing about him seems mature, let alone Christian in outlook.

Did someone seriously extol David "I'm a bisexual satanic freak" Bowie on this blog?

I'd put David Bowie in the same evil big leagues as Bono.

Yeah, about the red glasses: I don't know what those creeps think they're doing with them, probably think they look cool, but when you get migraines from eyestrain working at computers all day, blue light blocking shades are a life-saver. 10 years of debilitating migraines cleared up, instantly. Granted, it's only been a week, but my husband hasn't gone this long without a migraine in years. Lots of people use them as protection against the ill effects of artificial light on the circadian rhythm, too. So probably using red glasses as an indicator of creepiness won't be the best way. Red shoes, now...

Less than two percent -- maybe that's what ONE stands for. A tenet of Satanism is to hide what one is doing in plain sight.

"Wow any connection with Crowley is informative. He may have been the most spiritually evil man that ever existed."

Much of the entertainment industry idolizes him, especially if they wish to be elevated to the top levels. Disillusionment people feel about Bono can be extended to most of them.

Blogger Sterling Pilgrim November 09, 2018 8:21 PM

@98 Did you just use the word "extol" without knowing what it means? On THIS blog?

Just stop it. This is the most beta thing I've read on this blog in a long time.
Did you even read the statement in question?

(The latter features David Bowie on vocals).

There's no hint of praise or enthusiasm. It is perhaps the most direct and matter of fact manner one could hope to make a true statement.

Just stop. For everyone's benefit, stop.

A smaller band I enjoy went full SJW in 2016. I felt betrayed a bit (I probably go to 3-4 concerts a year and they were one of them). But then I realized how easy it is to find a replacement.

Entertainment is ubiquitous and these SJW clowns can be replaced just as quickly as they were added to the setlist.

Blogger Dirk Manly November 11, 2018 3:54 PM

I remember when the lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs, Natalie Merchant essentially killed the band by going to college and taking all kinds of grievance-"studies" courses, and could no longer write song lyrics that anybody wanted to hear, let alone pay money to listen to.
