19 million and counting

In case you're ever feeling down, the Realtime Baby Boomer Death Clock should put a little spring in your step. By the end of today, there will be more than 4,500 fewer Boomers infesting the planet.

19 million down, only 66 million to go.

Yesterday, a Boomer complained that the Boomer Hate was tiresome. Yeah, so about that... it isn't anywhere nearly as tiresome as being forced to endure generationally narcissistic morons droning on and on and on and on about themselves for more than forty freaking years.

NEVER TRUST ANYONE OVER 30! 40 IS THE NEW 20! 50 IS THE NEW 30! SEXY AT 70!

And they wonder that we're relieved the end is finally in sight?

Boomers had better get used to the Boomer Hate, because their generational reputation is only going to get worse as more and more Millennials gradually wake up to how the Boomers screwed them over by gleefully abandoning their familial and societal responsibilities.

The two great nostalgic eras are the fifties and eighties with everyone taking a pass on the sixties and seventies. No one likes boomer culture, not even boomers (though they'll never admit it). If we can survive the next 10 years then we can consign the surviving vestiges into nursing homes were they can regale their Filipina nurses about how their ungrateful children are just jelly about not getting to wear adult diapers, so time saving in not having to bother with shitting in a toilet, and how 90 is the new 70.

You Boomers have been playing it all your lives. And no, we don't wish to play it. Take your divorces and your abortions and your conspicuous consumption to the grave with you.

We have rejected you and everything for which you stood. And we will literally write the history of your damned g-g-generation. We are writing it already. History will curse you as the grasshopper generation.

For those who are investors, consider investments in companies that do funerals. This is not a macabre joke. The earning potential is definitely there. All over the West. Also consider things like who produces hearses and the other accompaniments to a successful funeral.

Those numbers don't lie. The earning potential is there.

Blogger Markku January 22, 2019 9:12 AM

This is especially a great time because the funeral industry currently needs huge amounts of investments. Due to the obesity epidemic, their current equipment, and caskets, are too small. This is the time to get into that racket.

At least most of my fellow boomers didn't mutilate our genitals in the delusion that we were one of a thousand or more alternative genders. So, what I'm saying is, that these latter generations haven't changed the course set by the Boomers, they have transcended it in a very bad way.

@12: I lived through the '70s. Believe me, it sucked. I will concede that it would be interesting to visit the early 1960s. Just before the beginning of the political 1960s (which I contend start in December 1963).

Blogger Markku January 22, 2019 9:23 AM

I have to admit that this is not QUITE what I had in mind, when I heard that "we need to build ovens for the Boomers".

Blogger Gunnar Thalweg January 22, 2019 9:26 AM

I am a last-year Baby Boomer (1963). There were definitely social changes and they always seemed to change immediately after us ... we were the last year of a lot of things (18 drinking age, etc). We could get away with a lot more.

While I understand the Boomer-hate, I would not count on things getting better after we leave. Like the Sun King, after us, the deluge.

Generation X is the last generation raised in Western Civilization (and even then it was rapidly waning). After GenX are generations of heathens with enormous and fearsome technological power.

GenX doesn't realize it, but the only thing preventing the heathen from metaphorically throwing you into volcanoes to appease the gods is Boomer numbers and Boomer power.

Just as the Boomers greatly missed the Greatest Generation's cultural power (the last generation raised with print as their primary cognitive tool) once the generational torch was passed between 1992 and last gasp of Dole's candidacy in 1996, so GenX will miss Western standards of value once they are gone.

There's a lot good in the U.S. that's mere cultural inertia ... vague memories of a Christian civilization and that Marxism doesn't work ... and that cultural inertia mostly remains in motion because of the mass of the Baby Boomers. When the mass is gone, the inertia is gone, and Big Data turns into Big Sister.

The next battle, in the next generation, will be spiritual. The civic commons is disappearing. There will not be the flexibility of "no belief/just leave me alone." You will choose Christ and suffer for Him or you will choose to persecute His followers and serve the evil one. There will be no middle ground tolerated once the Boomers are gone.

Be ready. Just remember, real education is a real threat to them and will not be tolerated. Faith is Christ frightens them to the core ... and it won't be enough to marginalize the faithful ... you will be made to care, or you will fight back.

Blogger Avalanche January 22, 2019 9:26 AM

Can't help but wonder how much of boomer hate is, in fact, target swapping? With the corollary of (((just WHO))) is directing y'all's anger toward folks who were JUST as misdirected and herded as you (may) have been and (maybe) still are?

Defend Boomers? No, cause 'I are one' (born 1956) and, in retrospect -- 20/20 -- I see the swarm of locusts we have been and probably still are. I WAS a Boomer locust (probably still am to a huge degree; sorry, it's baked in...), but not maliciously. Not awake and aware, just following the tribe cause that's what humans do. (The fact that the apparent leaders of the tribe were malign parasites doesn't matter -- we did not know and could not see! MPAI -- in EVERY generation!)

If Xers and Mils and our hoped-for Zyklons are busy hating and focusing their anger AT Boomers... are they forgetting who is WIELDING THAT WEAPON against them (us)? Should we look again at Jared Taylor -- trying to get Whipeepo to NOTICE the weapon that is raping and murdering our kin (in honor of yesterday's Murderin' Lootin' Killin' national holiday!) because if you don't see the WEAPON, you'll never see the (((enemies))) using it?

I just (tripped over and) read The Kurgan's truly excellent essay: https://www.menofthewest.net/where-is-the-leadership-a-gen-xer-answers-a-millennial/

He describes the first truth I grew to see:
On women: expect not a fellow soldier, but someone you have to take along with you in a war zone that’s a non-combatant on the soldierly stuff. At home, between you, she needs to understand you're the Captain and she's the Sergeant. That's just basically it. But she's not a man. Don't treat her like one. Taking care of her emotions and madness and fears is how you heal your own wounds. Do it right and she will also come to help you heal the ones you can't reach yourself. If she doesn't, walk away, because the other possibility is that she will disembowel you in your sleep and eat your entrails for fun. It doesn't matter if you like it or not. It's how it is. Make your peace with it. The sooner you do without fear, resentment or anger, the sooner you'll have your pick of women to chose from. And remember, it's a lost world. It is up to you to pull her out of the swamp onto the little ground you have. You mentioned all women being on the pill. Mostly true, but that's the brainwashing you have to break through. Remember… mostly, any gaps of light you see were created by broken Gen Xers. Most humans are completely lost. Many of them unsalvageable. The Bible tells us this too. The road to hell is wide and well populated. Don't waste time on the infected zombies. The ones who are not zombies yet will naturally respond to an uninfected crusader in a most enthusiastic way. The fact you currently have to bang them awake and then see if they are suitable to marry instead of pick an awake one to marry and then bang is upside down and sad, but it is the wasteland the Boomers created while in thrall of the enemy. So turn it around on the enemy. Bang them all awake until you find the right one.

Despite, or because of, the anger, his essay isvery well worth reading.

And, he wrote:
If you can see anything at all past the wasteland created by the Boomers, if you realise BRAWNDO is bullshit at all, it's because some Gen Xers cracked the Boomer facade, and continue to do so. The Boomers were both the victims and the perpetrators of the most massive psyops ever done on the planet.

How do we -- or DO we -- differ from the U.S vets and their families, when the vets came home: battered, maimed, emotionally and psychologically tortured -- or just in a box! -- from NEEDING to believe there was a damned good reason (can you hear the agonized wail: "there must have been!") for 'our' suffering to save Panama or the Falklands, to fight moslems in every damned sandbox on the planet (Now! At HOME, too!), to try to bring democracy and clean water to every damned tribe of useless aboriginals who paid us back by raping and torturing our family members.

We went to 'war' (in this case, as vermin destroying our own nest!) because we believed the LIES we were sold. Our war was less dangerous than Viet Nam or Afghanistan, but we were no less believing in the mission that did not actually exist.

Ya'll have no idea what Gen Zyklon is going to be up to. You are not listening to them, hearing their anger at you and the mess you created.

And the beauty of their attitude is that it has been figured out by them. For all the psyops and gaslighting out there, they can see reality on their own.

So, go on and pat your own backs for how bad "the kids these days" are. It's kinda cute, when it's not totally irritating. You really have no clue.

An older relative of mine died recently. He had some kind of mouth cancer, so they had cut out most of his tongue and he required breathing tubes. Apparently he pulled out the tubes and smothered before anyone discovered it. People wondered at the wake how that's possible, don't they have machines to alert them to things like that?

Well, of course they do. But how many of the machines are monitored by Diverse-Americans? How much will they really care about one old white man whose quality of life going forward doesn't look too rosy anyway? And that's a hospital; the nursing homes are bound to be much worse.

The inverse is also true: witness the work Norman Rockwell now appearing in established highbrow galleries -- whose very name was synonymous with them as Total Squaresville, Man for as long as I can remember.

But then, Boomers are a curious lot. That nostalgia-filled sitcom with Ron Howard wasn't called Horrible Days, after all... and to my 14-year-old eyes, Back to the Future seemed a genuinely nice place to live. So some of them did recognize the goodness that never got handed down.

It is hard for me to hate boomers too much, since they were the most manipulated generation at the time. Television really took off around then, and that is one of the biggest assets of the mind control deep state wizards. The whole Counterculture™ movement was obviously also guided by Frankfurt School and the Marxist march through the institutions. We have the internet now, so we have the greatest tool to expose the manipulation and corruption. I am grateful for the internet helping me find people like Vox Day, Owen, Milo, Martin Van Creveld, etc. We can't blame the boomers for not having the internet.

I am not a boomer, by the way. I am 29, and I really dislike most people, boomers or otherwise. However, they are not my enemy, the enemy is the deep state, the media manipulators, the Satanists. The boomers were just one generation of useful idiots to the dark occultists. I really hope Generation Z represents the pendulum swinging back fast in the other direction. I am ready to fight, but I want to chose my enemies with wisdom and discernment.

"We can't blame the boomers for not having the internet."

We can, however, blame them for not course-correcting when the error of their ways was exposed and openly discussed.

Instead, we just get more "me, me, MEEEEE" and excuse making.

When they own their role in creating what we have now they are much easier to take.

One thing that pisses me right off is when a Boomer drops a ton of hate on the Millennials they created. That's pretty weak on the "personal responsibility" scale.

Here's a tip: own what you did and ACT to correct it. Instead of "enjoy my retirement," teach an under-30 now what you did not teach them growing up.

Blogger PragmaticTroll January 22, 2019 10:12 AM

"Take your abortions..."
What generation was RUNNING THINGS when the SCOTUS judges who pushed through that execration were nominated?

No wonder Millennials are so bovine. They were produced by Boomers, the most cattle-like of all humans.

I never tire of noting that the main inflection points for collective stupidity in America are 1913 and the 1960's, and those who ran the show then are 100% dead and buried already. I guess whipping dried bones lacks satisfaction.

Never to worry, however. The hated boomers will make wonderful stand-ins, as they too are lined up to endure the worst punishments because they own the assets and "entitlements" that will be repudiated first. Take away Mr. Boomer's 401(k) and his Social Security and what do you have? A useless old guy begging on the street.

Misery so does love company, and socializing the maintenance of the aged via political creation of intergenerational wealth transfers will prove a fantastic way to punish stupid old people who believed the socialists' lies.

Boomers didn't invent living in a fantasy world, but it's their kids who perfected it, and their grandkids who raised it to an artform by sitting in their parents' basements with two hands on the game controller.

I have seen them. Late teens? Perhaps early 20's? These kids I see coming up out of high school are not really conservative... But they are most certainly NOT liberal/progressive. What is the message of Albert J. Nock's 1936 essay Isaiah's Job? The masses are screwed. That's every generation...the masses are always screwed. It wasn't and never will be my job to fix the world in which you live. It was my job to help my kids avoid, as much as possible, the traps that all the whining bovine masses ignored, fell into face-first, and about which now wail.

Masses or Remnant. That's the choice.

My dad's generation gave us every single thing I put on my political *detest list.* [Trust me, he didn't "vote" for the Civil Rights Act or Hart-Celler.]

His generation was a bunch of Utopian assholes...but he was one of about 30 men of his Marine Corp 120-man company who survived Island-hopping in the Solomons. He was eight-to-ten while the DJIA fell 90% in the early 30's. I guess his generation had its crap-storm, too. Each one does.

Boomers are going to "get their comeuppance." It will be like pushing your 75-year-old mother down a flight of stairs.

Let me try to imitate a Boomer attempting this:

"You Gen-X think you have it bad? I've had to put up with my crappy generation twenty years longer than you. And you'll probably have a few years to enjoy this earth after the last of us is gone, but I'll have spent every moment on this planet with Boomers. We had it rougher than you..."

To be fair... he's right. Oh sure, like a typical boomer, he can't apply it to TV and movies and sportsball and other, boomer things, but he is right. The 500+ hours I spent on Oblivion when I was a child to the point I actively didn't want to go out with my friends and family because I just wanted to stay in and play the game can attest to that, to say nothing of all the time I wasted on various online games on xbox live and various MMO's. That's kind of the point of a lot of these games, the addiction factor. It's why people still rate the OG Diablo so high despite the actual mechanics being about as bare bones as Blizzard ever made them.

Perhaps, but maybe focus on cut-rate services. Most of 'em won't leave much behind, their kids are buried in student loans, and the government is going broke, so I doubt they'll be good for much more than a cheap pine box and some artificial flowers left over from the last burial.

Maybe not pine, maybe OSB or particleboard.

How can I get assigned to a different generation?

Just don't defend or make excuses for the one you don't want to be identified with. That seems to be impossible for most Boomers, so if you can achieve that, no one will suspect you.

If someone says Gen X are a bunch of slackers, I feel no compulsion to leap to my generation's defense. To the extent that we are slackers, I would agree. To the extent that it's false, I have better things to do than defend millions of people I don't know who happened to be born in same era I was. To the extent that it applies to *me*, that's a personal issue that has nothing to do with whether it's true of my generation.

The *need* Boomers feel to defend their generation is completely foreign, like trying to understand what it's like to be a dude that's not attracted to chicks. Especially since so many of them don't feel the same need to defend their nation. Criticize white American workers, cuisine, movies, whatever, and they'll be right there with you saying someone else's are superior. But criticize Boomers, and they circle the wagons. It's like they replaced the normal in-group loyalties with loyalty for their generation.

Tell me, oh secret king, where was abortion mentioned in that post? Now, true, you can argue to the extent he's right and you could also argue about boomer things people can get addicted to like TV, film, and comics and what not and how far those addictions can go, but in so far as drawing an addiction parallel, he ain't inaccurate.

Regardless of how they try to defend themselves and defer responsibilty and make excuses, the utter destruction of family occurred on their watch. They grew up in two-parent households, but did not, as a broad stroke generalization, pass that advantage on to their own children.

Demonization of means instead of pathology is that species of causal confusion that plagues gun grabbers and vegans. What addicts of video games needed were parents who'd curb and moderate their gameplay.
Both alone and socially, I've played video games for over thirty-five years, nigh so long as I've read. That indulgence never lapsed into intemperance because my parents had the sense to gift me books of progressive sophistication and eject me from our house during pleasant days.

My favorite generation to bash is the one that ruled (not born) from 1900 to 1920. How about this resume - DaFed, income tax, Woodrow Wilson, WWI, amendments 17, 18 and 19 - and when you consider what happened throughout the Western World in the 20th century, let's see you top that track record.
Unfortunately, no death watch needed as 'they be all gone now' - but they sure served us up a beauty, eh?
So who raised the 1900-2000 bunch?

No, that was never a principle of good game design until Candy Crush Saga and Farmville game along.

What's funny is both of those games incorporate an energy mechanic that forces player to take a break after a while.

The game loop is of course predicated on giving the player a dopamine reward for playing - it's called "fun" Emmanuel. People like having fun. Outside of South Korea, the main addiction problem with games these days is the ones that've gotten shorter and shorter main loops. When natural stopping points are 15 minutes to an hour, it's easier to stop. When they're a minute or two apart like Candy Crush, it's easy to keep going.

Like the difference between a steak and a bag of potato chips.

The whole addictive thing is oversold. It used to be that a thing had to be physically addictive to gain the label addictive. Now any damn thing we happen to like doing can get labeled addictive. Another form of rhetoric. By implication, imply that the behavior is like being hooked on a physically addictive drug.

Meh, so often I feel like the adult when I'm in a room with boomers. It has nothing to do with general competence - many of them are highly skilled and successful. There's just this "me-me-me" element to every interaction that comes across as very puerile. They don't seem to have a real grasp on what's important in life. Even religion seems to be a "what do I get out of this?" type of arrangement for them.

I'm not outright defiant or disrespectful of this generation, but it's fun to watch them wriggle and writhe as they realize the younger generations are slipping the chain and starting to see past their BS.

@113 Demonization of means instead of pathology is that species of causal confusion that plagues gun grabbers and vegans. What addicts of video games needed were parents who'd curb and moderate their gameplay.

Hoo boy. I was tempted to run that through the meter to assign an education-attainment number to its sentence construction. Next time just post a copy of your SATs or membership in one or more high IQ societies.

Attacking video games as a vice (same as is putting DVD players in cars) seems to have hit a nerve among those whose game-play is a virtue-signal of its own, e.g., "look how I can snort a single line of coke but that's it, and it has no effect on my job or my family. The defect is in all those scum who can't exercise my level of self-discipline."

Modern life corrupts the corruptible by hijacking the neurotransmitters in the human brain, turning ancient systems devoted to survival and reproduction into a complicated version of putting a monkey in front of a button that when pressed, tickles the electrodes implanted in the monkey's pleasure centers.

I don't disagree that this is Nature's way of culling the "weak" (defining weakness as lacking self-discipline.) But if anyone thinks that their little personal boat will rise while they sniff in superiority to those whose boats are sinking in this Sodom and Gomorrah, I think their analysis is weak and their premises false.

Not to worry. My hope is that the Beauty of Small will accompany the next great wave of change, and those who think open access to actions that are highly addictive to many people is acceptable are able to practice that separately from those who don't just blame the addict but also blame the pusher or the pimp.

"RIGHT" thinking people once recognized the value to the community of excommunicating those who felt entitled to provide the means for the weak to self-immolate.

At a writer's lecture the group was making up a story, and at one point Boomin' Boomer (there were several) pontificated that the homeless dude character HAD to be a Vietnam vet.

Another Boomer wondered how on earth you could write fiction without adding a political message.

Yet a third was writing a YA book where the Boomer stand-in character was way cooler and betterer than the supposed main young character.

This generation can't stop talking about themselves.

Oh well, at least now that we're in our 40s and early 50s, Gen X finally outnumbers Boomers. Gosh, all that hard work really paid off, Xers! It's not like time did it or anything...

physically addictive drug.

Just gets more entertaining. Johnny, do you grasp the difference between physical habituation and behavioral habituation or compulsion? There is no such thing as a drug that grabs you by the neck and forces you to use it. Yes, physical dependence accompanies all kinds of drugs; try, for example, ceasing to take one of the new class of anticoagulants. There's a good chance that your body's adjustment to what was blocked by the drug will cause a reflex overshoot (hypercoagulabilty) upon cessation. That's why the commercials always harp on NEVER STOPPING without "seeing your physician."

Getting high? It's pleasurable for the same reason the monkey pressed the buttons. There is no physical difference between the pleasure of an euphorigenic drug, hitting the "runner's high," sex, or a host of other activities, all of which are "rewarding."

Most people seem to know as much about drugs, abuse and addiction as most people know about guns (from watching TV.) Just as cops are hardly gun experts, ditto physicians' knowledge of addiction and such. You want experts on addiction, go to bluelight.org.

You know don't you, that games have been used as a learning tool for millennia, right? You know that even dogs, cats and freaking deer play in order to learn?

The "hijacking the neurotransmitters" you talk about is a built-in feature of the mammalian brain. We get a dopamine reward for learning something and developing a skill. You may not recognize any worthwhile skill in joystick jockeying, but let me introduce you to my 17 year old son. He's the driver for his robotics team and he uses what's basically a PS4 controller. 2nd year in a row they've made it to State finals. Last year they went on to super-regionals.

Even craptastic games like Farmville can reinforce basic strategic pathways in the brain. Or look at an old school Scouting program from the 30's - lots of games that teach different skills.

Fun is a good thing.

All I hear is more "wah wah, my generation may have had abortions, but your generation is worse because blah blah."

You boomers will never get it. You destroyed most of our chances at a white picket fence, a wife, 2.5 kids, and a dog. Don't you think we WANT that? OF COURSE WE DO. But rent is sky high, wages are stagnant (but at least your immigrant landscapers and maids are cheap!), and we have nothing out in the real world to live for, or strive for, because your generation gives us NOTHING.

Video games and drugs are what keep a lot of my fellow millennials from offing themselves out of pure despair. And I'm losing a lot of my millennial friends to drugs anyway. Every other month I see an obituary and think "that guy sat behind me in eight grade."

So don't you fucking DARE try to pass the buck off like you boomers always do with this "a vice is a vice, you're just as bad as us" crap. We never had the chance that you got.

Aging is not some one thing, it is the collection of the ways that a body deteriorates.. What they can do, mainly, is to releave the aging person of the symptoms of aging. That is not the same as stopping the aging process, which I take to be cellular deterioration. We may live to be a hundred, but we are not going to be a thrifty hundred years old. We can work longer if the work does not demand a lot of energy, but there is also going to be an expanded geriatric population. And are the new 'brown' people going to support an expanding number of old white people? For a while I suppose. Perhaps revenge for self indulgence will come late in life.

Perhaps you right, but I will say there are a lot of Millennials, on youtube for example, that are trying to better themselves and overcome.

I see a lot of them trying to learn basic skills their parents did not teach them. They learn from books and other videos.

One of my big "Ah-HAA" moments came from such a young lady in a video about spinning fibre into yarn. She mentioned, "When my grandmother was young, everyone knew how to do this. Now, no one does."

Yet there she was, a Millennial, probably self-taught AND passing it on.

The Millennials have their generational problems for sure. This early GenX-er is not ready to completely write them off. Yet. There's enough of them trying to overcome the Bergeronian weight placed around their neck by Glampers-esque parenting to give hope.

Time is the one resource no one can buy, borrow or steal. A second used one way cannot be used another. Recreation should be like icing on a cake...it's not the cake, and the cake isn't more than a minuscule part of a healthy diet.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me how becoming skilled in Call of Duty entails the same hard work and tedium-tolerance of learning to play the piano, and how hours spent on the game console are the same as playing a game of softball.

There seems to be an abiding inability to recognize the full list of ways this society is poisoning its members, but I guess that's predictable; no one ever criticizes his preferred intoxicant or questions the means of his occupation paying his bills.

It appears that dying with the Boomers will be a grasp of what was lost as microwave ovens and inescapable video screens became available. I never, ever see kids in my neighborhood anymore...the last were my own kids, playing football in the yard with neighbors...20 years ago.

I can wax poetic on my hatred of that g..generation. But that is to be set aside for now.
One thing that really helps is the fact that the boomers spent entire lifetimes eating like a 9 year old at a birthday party. All that "hurr durr somebody has to pay for health care!" comes from boomers and the millenials the boomers programmed. 80 percent of boomer health issues, by my observation in a moment, comes from too much indulgence.
It was under the boomers that adults ate too much candy and a "few cigarrettes a day" became "chain smoking".
I worked for a time servicing boats and RVs. Yes, expensive boomer toys. Every damned boat/RV owner was a big fat boomer and an even bigger and fatter wifey in tow. 100K, 200K, heck half a million dollar boats and even "pusher" RVs (engine in the back) and here they are: fat as all get out.
Lots of "lesser" boomers, ok same thing: boats and RVs a little less than 100K.
I would do the work, write up the time, and almost every one of them would go to the boss and complain about the bill. The only time that did not happen, it was an RV that looked like it was built in 1970 and covered with Pro-gun stickers. The rest of the time, every one of them complained and claimed "it MUST be under some warranty!".
I asked the boss about this once. He said "you have to understand, just about every one of these people spent a lifetime always on some kind of program or system to get things paid for. They are not used to paying for repairs for something that is not under warranty and the upkeep or repair of it is something they are entirely responsible for".
So remember, if a day comes you are spending 60 percent of your income on taxes and there's a national/single payer health care, every damned boomer on that system has everything you will never be able to afford.

"You will choose Christ and suffer for Him or you will choose to persecute His followers and serve the evil one."

If my reading of scripture is at all close to being in the ballpark then while serving the evil one the persecuters will think they are serving Christ. They will serve a false Christ and hence will persecute the followers of the true. This is (one more reason) why Christians were specifically and repeatedly warned against false Christs.

Thanks for your thoughts - very stimulating.

I'll tell you straight to your face and argue til the cows come home that "addicting" was NEVER part of good game design.

Good game design involves a challenge, obstacles to overcome. It involves a story, involvement in a plot, whether it's a plot designed and scripted or one that the player makes as he goes along.

The best games transport one to a different world, a world where one can be the Knight saving the damsel in distress, the hero saving the world, an explorer plumbing the depths of ancient mysteries and long-forgotten secrets, the brilliant space emperor leading his people to glory and victory.

A good game is like a good book, in that "he who doesn't read lives one life, he who reads lives a thousand."

If you're basing your definition of "good game design" on modern crap like World of Warcraft or Call of Duty, you're an idiot, full stop.

Good games are not Skinner boxes. See for example Mario, Deus Ex, Metroid, Master of Orion 2, Crusader Kings 2, the list goes on and on: those are games with heart and soul, those are stories that stick with you long after you put the controller down.

A good game should leave you empty after you complete it, like "is that all there is? I want more."

What we have today is artificial addictiveness: press the button, get reward, repeat. That is not a good game.

Your "good game design" is what boomers and greedy corporate CEOs push: ever-increasing ways to dip into people's pockets, and damn the storyline, make it quick, cheap, bite sized, unfulfilling morsels.

Gamers don't want $2 snacks, we want the full meal. You'll notice that more and more people are abandoning "modern" games and playing the classics. There's a reason for that.

Millennials also severely lack critical thinking skillls, knowledge, and some of them lack courage. But they do tend to follow orders. That’s how the boomer liberals has formed them into such wretched.
When Gen X gains power, I’m certain we will fall in line under them; it’s our nature. Millennials, at least the white ones, will go from “woke” to Based in a split second. They may not even realize it. Where the Boomers used our gullibility for their own aggrandizement, Gen X can use us as tools for the restoration.

Gen Z kids are strange. They have so much more strength, character and honor than many adult men, especially millennials. My sons are too young to have the kind of nobility they do. I was a little spergy whiner at that age. I don’t really understand how they turned out to be so courageous, and also for the boys and girls to be so much more masculine/feminine than millenials or Boomers.
That young man who smirked at the Holy Other is a future leader. He has made me proud to be a parent of great Gen Z kids.

I love the class assignment CH had up. A bunch of kids were given an assignment by their liberal millennial teacher. “Explain how global warming is similar to the Holocaust.” A little shitlord caused a massive stir by writing, “neither of them were real.”

That’s a little bad ass. An elementary school child who is running circles around his shitty SJW teacher.

Many boomer's around me are having limbs and organs removed or butchered upon at an alarming rate. All I can say is their boomer doctors are doing the butchering. Their religion is medicine the doctors are the high priests and pills are their sacrament. Sad thing is we all have to fund their religion and it is bankrupting us.

Blogger Markku January 22, 2019 2:43 PM

Yep, losing the limbs is also due to that one thing that's poisoning them.

as part of Gen X, I am afraid the pharmacies have stolen our manhood. So many of us are chemical eunuchs. Pitch the pills and get on testosterone if you are damaged.

And as one doctor pointed out in a video, it's a LOT more profitable for doctors to do amputations, which pay very well, than to fix the problem.

They have four limbs. That means return business.

Nah, sounds about right. I'm a millennial going on 30 here and I'm already preparing the battle space for when shit goes hot. Plans for procuring food, shelter, where to go to ground when bands of marauders come through, fresh water supply (there's a crystal clear mountain spring about 10 miles from my house, nestled in easily defensible hills/Rocky gullies), like-minded men who will join me for mutual protection. I'm not nearly prepared enough, but then again, who is?

I have a two year old daughter. I do not want her to have to deal with the coming Armageddon. Three years ago, I was going to commit suicide, when God sent me a message and spared me. I didn't know why then, but I suspect my daughter is the reason.

She won't be able to fight this coming war. I have to do my duty, to her, to the wife, and to the Almighty, to see her through it.

Don't you worry, GenZ will be joining the battle as well. God help us all, but they don't deserve this shit. We've gotta do our part to help them where we can.

Who created the Federal Reserve, killed JFK, took the dollar off the gold standard, created Social Security, Medi-care, Obama Care, bailed out the banks? Was not the consumerism of a generation, a rational response to a corrupt monetary system? The boomers were born into the bottom level of a ponzi pyramid scheme they did not create, then the pyramid inverted.

Narcissistic self-deception is another ubiquitous Boomer trait.

Wrong on the 4 limbs. They just chew away slowly on each limb... a little at a time. The profit potential is exponential. throw in the junk food and their fear of sunlight and the average boomer slowly rots away.

@191 Sugar?

Can you hold and shoot a gun? Then you're in this, like it or not old man.

Do you think the brown Muslims (and others equally as dangerous) will show any mercy to an old white man?

We don't reserve our hate for our own people: the Muslims, the africans-in-america, the communist thought-slaves, they aren't "our people." We love our own people, which is why we hate those who would destroy us.

As long as you're still breathing, you can help change the path we have taken. Don't you quit on us, soldier, if you wish to see us to a better future, strap up, keep your powder dry, and stand with us.

This isn't a game of tag. You don't get to tap out. We need every gun we can get.

If you die in the coming conflict, at least you can face your ancestors and hold your head high and say you stood for something. Can't ask for more than that.

You don't get to Valhalla through surrender.

Stand by us. Do us proud. Carry the flag of your people, White Christian Americans, proudly. We'll help you hold it up if you get tired.
