Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt
Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt is now available at the Arkhaven store in CBZ and Kindle formats. It will be available on Amazon in Kindle format later today. It has already gone out to the backers; please note that the typo on page 18 has been fixed.
An angry Captain Europa is desperate to get revenge for his public humiliation at the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately for him, Jean-Michel Durand and Christian Foucault are nowhere to be found! So when the two renegade superhumans suddenly show up without warning on the Paris Metro security cameras, the Global Justice Initiative leaps into action to try to catch them before they disappear again.
But there are few better places on Earth for outlaws to vanish than the massive graveyards located directly below the streets of the French capital.
The CBZ file contains high-quality 2048 x 1360 images. Kindle format is 1280 x 800. Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt retails for $2.99.
UPDATE: on an unrelated note, A THRONE OF BONES is now available on Audible. All 31 hours 25 minutes of it. It's a pretty good deal if you're already a subscriber and only have to spend a monthly credit on it. And if you're not on Audible, you can get it directly from Arkhaven.
UPDATE: Alt★Hero #6: The Dark Hunt is now available in Kindle format on Amazon. If you've read it, I hope you'll consider reviewing it.

Just read #6. Really great! The tension is ramping up!
Fabulous.
Dr. Hallpike, audiobooks, SJWs, Dread Ilk.
Are we there yet?
Just got the email, but none of the files are downloading at all. Something on my end, perhaps?
Auguste, have you downloaded files previously from Castalia's emails? It's the same system they've used in the past.
Are you using Windows? If you right-click the file and select Open in a new tab from the pop-up menu, do you see a Save as window open?
I have downloaded files previously and I am using windows. Blind me. I see now that it DID download. Too much time in front of the computer today. Thanks for the help.
This indeed has made my day, and I'm not even a big comic book fan. I appreciate the opportunity to back the answer to the invasion. Keep up the great work everyone!
Loved this episode! The characters are all fun to read, although Rainbow rather steals the show.

Bravo! Opened strong, and finished with a bang. Great story and suspense in this arc. I was laughing with delight over the last 10 pages, at all the inside references.
I saw one error, which R Webfoot reported.
Read #6, loved it...and very amused by insider material.
Thanks for Alt-Hero!
I can't wait for the movie.

Apologies, Dark Lord. As penance, I will put on an SJW suit and jump into the VFM pit for five minutes.
"They paid me a lot of money." Still laughing.
Noted, sorry.
You are really coming into your own here Vox. I was impressed from issue 1, but I daresay that you are giving Chuck Dixon himself a run for his money. The last two Alt Hero issues really opened up the storytelling with a lot of intrigue and possibility. Keep up the great work. Here's to many more great issues and to hopefully someday a Alt Hero cinematic universe.
If the artist had drawn Dynamique any cuter with all her little expressions, then millions of cats on the internet would become abandoned and unwatched.
Thanks for links to the previous issues. I was too slow to download last time.
Outstanding. This series just gets better.
LOL love the last page
Thumbs up
Nooo, not the face!
Backing this was the best $25 I ever legally spent alone...
Speaking of super heroes ....
The latest Capt. Marvel vs Alita Battle Angel news is a hoot. The SJWs have taken a bad situation and made it worse, trying to push Capt. Marvel and bash Alita.
On Rotten Tomatoes (RT) you could vote either want to see or not want to see a movie. In response to the SJWs and trailers many (74%?) voted not want to see for Capt. Marvel. In response to that RT removed the voting button for not want to see. You can only vote want to see for movies not yet released.
This did not help word of mouth... LMAO
Vox, nice job on #6 and I want to say the hi-rez images are super. Seeing details like Jean-Michel and Christian being checked out by the single mom and another chick at Denfert Rochereau is a riot. However, that leads me to this question: is the dark-hair man in the green sweater checking out Jean-Michel too? I mean he could very well be one of Rainbow's friends, but I'm left wondering if you're foreshadowing something else.
Also nice touch bringing in the blond from the cover of #4 and the breed of dog. And good to see you and Spacebunny's alter egos are forthcoming.
omg
It just keeps getting better...
The biggest improvement I noticed is the writing. You're really acclimating to storytelling in this format, Vox. Really, I noticed it in the past two or three issues. What really sells it imo is the little bits of believable humor and banter you're working in.
Reading the last page of the comic made me laugh, and also reminded me of something:
Did anyone notice that the entire last season of Supergirl was DC freaking out about Vox Day? I mean, the Big Bad for a whole season! And now into the new season! They had Spacebunny, Ender, Vox's father, the VFM, the Darkstreams, even modeled the rhetoric after Vox. And they had the "alien" president who was exposed, then instantly replaced by a president "Trump". They hate Vox so much they tried to equate him with Lincoln Rockwell; they had an episode that replicated the famous Playboy interview, right down to the blindfolding of the black reporter and the barking German shepherds.
Vox's earlier two posts of inside info about Supergirl both were accurate, and both must have gotten under DC's skin.
I'm left wondering if you're foreshadowing something else.
Why would you ever imagine for a moment that I would tell anyone if I am foreshadowing something? Furthermore, you know they are fugitives for whom a large reward is being offered, right? So, naturally a lot of people are going to be thinking "do I know him from somewhere?"
Did anyone notice that the entire last season of Supergirl was DC freaking out about Vox Day?
This strikes me as a stretch, but then, I pay no attention to Supergirl, so I certainly wouldn't know.
This was really great. I didn't expect it to be so funny. I am still a very pleased backer.
Please don't post OT, particularly about things a) everyone knows about and b) which I have addressed on one or more of my platforms already.
Impressive.
The heroes should turn to the American Alliance (Click Here) in europe to help them. A little NATO firepower never hurt anyone.
I've tried reading the Alt-Hero comics but have found the interfaces/apps unpleasant.
On my Windows Kindle app, the text is a little too small to read comfortably.
On Windows ComicRack, the toolbar returns whenever I advance the page. Feels like I'm editing a PowerPoint deck at work.
I loved this one. Particularly the VFM.
Vox and the staff, I am thrilled for all your successes, endeavors and great awesome work.
So cool.
Going to re hear what I missed on DS, I dropped in late today.
For those who believe this issue is too self-referential and are upset about that:
What VD has to say to you.
I've read many comics where the story peters out after about issue 3. You see, when making a pitch for a new series to the editors at Marvel/DC, you needed your first three issues, and then the rest of the year outlined. Many a series hit the wall when it came time to make a monthly deadline instead of the carefully crafted ideas that they'd brought to flesh.
But this is the opposite. The longer it goes on the better it gets, and the planning comes out.
Any idea when the print is coming out? When #6 and Quantum Mortis #3 are in print, I'll make an order (along w/Avalon #3).

Use CDisplayEx, it's got a pretty decent interface, although it makes some weird display choices occasionally.

I really like Comics++ (http://www.comicsplusplus.com/). It is much simpler on Windows than ComicRack. It is lightweight, has excellent display options (even double-page side-by-side consistently works excellently if you like it), and it is free. It doesn't do anything else. There is no syncing between devices, and no accounts to manage. It just displays CBZs well in a lightweight app.
Another vote for CDisplayEx on Windows. Displays the CBZs, lets you zoom in beyond 100%, has a two-up display mode. Slightly wonky, but more than good enough. Free.
I use Yet Comic Reader on my mac, great looking
Competition?
At least we've gone so far over the edge I assume Ocasio Comic is a thing.
I'm not sure if the onion and Babylon Bee started reporting actual, factual, news, that anyone would notice the change.
Marvel becoming biggest advertiser for Alt-Hero:

Loved the issue. My only quibble would be that Dynamique seems to be getting dumber, perhaps too dumb.
@44 perhaps dynamique has a drug addiction and it is getting worse?
Dynamique seems to be getting dumber
She's not dumb. She's exactly the same personality she's been from the start, narcissistic and mercenary. She assumed, correctly, that Captain Europa didn't read the French equivalent of Cosmopolitan.
Loved #6. Now I can’t wait to see what #7 has in store: the ending cliffhanger is just bonkers enough to work.
...Also thank you to standardizing the metadata to “Alt-Hero 6.” This makes things cleaner for the Kindle list.
I really enjoyed the introduction of the ELoE in the story. It was hilarious but at the same time fit perfectly. The last panel was priceless. Loved the VFM masks too.
