No Darkstream tonight

As I'll be talking with the Big Bear on his stream at 7:30 PM Eastern. However, by way of compensation, I can offer you nearly 90 minutes of hard-core military science fiction action in the form of the WARDOGS INC #1 extended audio sample.

If you are inspired to listen to the whole thing, or want to pick up the sequels, you can do so at Arkhaven.

Stream link.

Make sure to pay if you want to join the members chat. Owen has slow chat so it doesn't fly by. See you there!

That's more than fair compensation! It's time to pick up some more commute listening and Wardogs fits the bill. Time to listen to the appetizer online while I dig out the credit card.

That's what you call burying the lead.

OT, but the God Emperor has the best 404 page ever

Listening on headphones and trying not to scare my wife with tales of laughter. Hey, Doug Adams struck first with Marvin the Paranoud Android. Talk about passive-aggressive robot. Then let Alan Rickman provide the voice.

I just saw that a minute ago. I can't stop laughing at it. I just texted it to my mom. She cried for a week when Hillary lost.

Glad to hear about Muzi's progress! Hopefully he makes a full recovery!

I listen to Owen's streams and the Darkstream every day - and that stream was significantly more enjoyable than both normally are, which is saying something. The two of you really do complement each other well as the dialectic/rhetoric faces of the coin. Vox explains whatever the subject is well and Owen translates it into easier to understand terms so anyone who isn't getting it, gets it.

Thanks for the two of you doing this. (And I second whoever was asking for that once a month!)

Blogger MagisterLudi February 21, 2019 9:52 PM

I third the once a month. Plus, it allows both of them to drop more nuggets on the projects they are working on.

They have a really good fun vibe talking together.

Great stream. You two should collaborate more often.

I got Wardogs on Audible this month. It has been a decent listen. The reader does a great job. I am about half way through and its getting pretty good.

I fourth the once a month, and I think I speak for thousands

"Great stream. You two should collaborate more often."

Agreed. I was trying to stay awake for it last night but it was late for me and I fell asleep. I woke up to BB yelling in my ear about dick holes and red hot pokers. I listened to the whole thing this morning and realised that every time BB does his Jew voice (especially funny at x1.5 speed) I make a Jew face.

Blogger Patrick Kelly February 22, 2019 10:54 AM

VD and BB a match made in heaven. Sounds like you are becoming genuine friends. BB reminds me of another large piano playing friend of mine.

+1 to reexamining sarcasm vs. satire. Make an effort to filter sarcasm from my lips. Hard to find much love in it.

Interesting tidbit: In Finnish, sarcasm is "salaiva" = "secret mockery".

You mentioned the technology of traveling great distances in a shorter amount of time than currently thought possible. The below provides a potential for this. Without folding space or any other such tiny mind nonsense (a slam, but then again, not, I just get fed up with being polite once in a while, especially when the solutions are detracted from by claims of a requirement of infinity minus one (Schrodinger’s cat) (in order to shut down discovery and halt invention by overburdening the processing requirement, common core methods but for an almost endless array of incorrect answers)). If it would require more energy than the entire universe contains to move matter faster than the speed of light, then to assume the possibility of travel is to assume the possibility of more such usable energy available. The traveling of energy (not “matter” in the official apologetics), not past the speed of light, but 300 times that, almost appearing to arrive before it left, raises the consideration. The below is more aimed at Owens question about what gravity is (not just the effect), but it also, by its nature, addresses the energy of material speed question. If I misuse an otherwise defined term, sorry, not trying to be sneaky, it is a concept not a technical memorandum, and my memory sucks. A hyperenergy field would just be massive energy, where most any comparatively small overlap portion has more active energy than pretty much our energy universe. Massive, massive energy, “big numbers” for the less astute, just insane zeroes on the power of ten. On a personal note, I don’t think the original influencing intelligence would be interstellar though. Anyway, a repost from elsewhere, not a rewrite.

Gravity, what it is.

For simplicity, I’ll use here terms hypoenergy, stasisenergy, and hyperenergy.
Space – three dimensional space.
Hypoenergy – low energy “space” field, gravity falls within.
Stasisenergy – our perceivable “space” field, the “physical” universe.
Hyperenergy – high energy “space,” hyperspace contains the concept.

I’m using gravity in two senses. One sense is the general concept of a force of attraction within the stasis field, and the other is a generic description to represent the hypoenergy field by a more familiar name of association.

Hypoenergy interacts fleetingly with hyperenergy to form vortices of swirls of various intensities of energy. These swirls have characteristics which form the laws of physics, have energy levels perceivable in the universe, and the interaction if these vortices form the matter and energy we experience and interact with. This physical universe in the stasis field has thresholds of general interaction. All three types of fields coexist in the same exact space, but there are thresholds which make the others generally imperceptible to the other. In what we perceive to be empty space, hypo and hyper space are present.

In the stasis field, there are two objects separated by stasis empty space, but there is continuous connection in the hypo and hyper fields. In other words, there is gravity at the point of the two objects, but there is also gravity present in between, continuously. Remember, the stasis objects are actually the interaction of the hypo and hyper fields, and the characteristics of this interaction brings about a contraction of the hyper and hypo, and this contraction is what people describe as gravity. It is this same flow of contraction which brings the components of atoms together, these swirling vortices of energy which at time-rate and scale, present the characteristics perceived as matter/particles/physical substance, and which also forms the bases of what we consider energy at the stasis field continuum (what we experience as perceivable energy).

Anyway, this is the starting point of understanding gravity as more than this magical thing everyone can measure, but no one really understands. That everyone can recite the effects of, but not what it is.

To help out Einstein, we are the unifying field, the stasis to hypo and hyper.
