Ben Shapiro Wrecked by One Perfect Tweet!

Ben Shapiro@benshapiro
Omar: The nefarious Joos and their money and dual loyalty undergird American support for Israel.
NYT: The question raised is...is Omar right?

Glenn Greenwald@ggreenwald
Isn't it notable how the person who mocks every claim of racism & bigotry as the by-product of whiny, authoritarian, overly-sensitive snowflakes suddenly leads the callouts, denunciations, & demands for safe spaces when it comes to his own group? Almost like he has no principles.

I laughed. I cried. Much better than Cats. Now, answer the question, Ben. Is Omar right? And if not, why not?

As others have already observed, nothing demonstrates the lack of influence AIPAC possesses in Washington DC like the entire political class of both the Republican and Democratic parties, including both executive and legislative branches, uniformly denouncing a single Congresswoman criticizing AIPAC's excessive influence.

Glenn Greenwald has more on the subject:
There are so many points to be made about this episode, each of which could justify its own entire article. It is, for instance, beyond dispute that what Omar is saying is true given that the very first bill passed by the U.S. Senate this year was one that allowed punishment for American citizens who boycott Israel, while U.S. citizens in 26 states are formally punished for boycotting this foreign nation, as we reported last month in the case of a Texas elementary speech pathologist who lost her job for refusing to sign a pledge not to boycott Israel (to keep her job with Texas, she’s allowed to boycott any other nation or even an American state: just not this one favored foreign nation).

Thus far, the two federal courts to rule on such laws have struck them down as unconstitutional violations of the free speech rights of American citizens on behalf of Israel.

How can anyone possibly pretend that it’s invalid or offensive to observe, as Congresswoman Omar did, that some in America demand allegiance to a foreign nation when American citizens are allowed to boycott American states but are punished for boycotting this one specific foreign nation?
As Yoram Hazony writes: "an empire will usually have a particular ruling nation at its heart." It's not exactly a mystery which nation presently rules the U.S. empire.

Benji goes for the disqualification with "nefarious" and the Konspiracy spelling of Jew, but he lets his fellow "joos" down by choosing "undergird." Couldn't he find a more ominous metaphor? Is anyone rousted to awareness of the Nefarious Joo through contemplation of their undergirdiness?

Undergirding may be done with chains, and chains are associated with bondage. I guess that's something. Except in this case the chains would be holding U.S. policy towards Israel up, not down.

Maybe the "under" is meant to do the rhetorical work. Under the radar, underhanded, troll under the bridge.

Did Glenn Greenwald get himself banned from Twitter? I sent a message that didn't attack anyone but because I used the word retarded I got banned for disparaging a protected class of people. The tweet had nothing to do with mentally handicapped people. Just the mere use of certain words is considered a sin that is absolutely unforgivable. I'm just glad twitter isn't God, no matter how much it thinks itself is or should be.

By the way, his conservative audience I assume is supposed to laugh at the NYT dig. But I think it's just as likely the main aim is to shame the NYT on behalf of the International Conspiracy as sort of a brotherly nudge away from the likes of this African gutter trash congressperson.

America chose to abandon Freedom of Association a long time ago. Truth is, most conservatives want the government to have the power to tell people who they can and can't deal with. They're just upset that they're not the only ones using it as a weapon.

It's the typical hypocrisy that 99% of Americans are okay with as long as you don't offend their pet groups.

I have read there is a French Muslim comic who is becoming more popular with young people. Every time he gets in trouble with the authorities he increases in popularity, in much the same way that rap acts became more popular after the congressional hearings about filthy lyrics in rap and rock albums. Regular French kids are acting out his schtick-something about arm gestures?

When I hear about a Jewish person in France, it's an immensely wealthy older Frenchman ordering the police to act like his or her personal doorman. I never hear respect or affection for regular people. And I never hear about young Jewish people in France. Do they exist? Or is France sort of a shopping mall for wealthy people?

When I hear about Somalis, or any other type of black person, it's always a young person in America. When I hear about Jewish people in America, its very seldom children. When I see photos of Muslims in America, it's not old people, either.

If you want some entertainment, check out where the funding REALLY comes from for Tlaib and AOC and the rest of that sewage. You make have to look through several false fronts, but you will find the "reformed" tribe thoroughly represented. After all, they hate Israel every bit as much as the ragheads do. In fact, as part of their funding, planning, and support for the illegal alien terrorist invasion of every Western nation with the intent to destroy national sovereignty and wipe Western culture off the face of the earth en route to their One World Government "utopia", don't be surprised when you find that same "reformed" team was even providing some funding for the flotillas that tried to invade Israel a few years ago. Because, after all, Israel is just one more independent sovereign nation that needs to be eliminated.

A couple decades ago, I had this one Muslim professor, family got chased out of Libya well beforehand. He would opine that Muslims, with a small population, don’t have any real influence on the US nationally. I told him how Jews seem to have a large amount of influence for a small population, focusing primarily in their actual vote numbers (in very tight elections), and that Muslims had a high growth rate, could eventually do the same to that extent. That in a generation or two, they could exert influence by their votes in greater numbers, that they do not have to resort to terrorism/violence to have an influence. He said Muslims generally didn’t have that sort of patience, that violence due to frustration would be the more likely path in the US. Well, one of two generations down, the other probably well on the way, plus conversions. And 3/4 Ben, telling 3/4 of the story, too funny, he just don’t know. Bin does though, he’s figuring it out.

Going by Glenn's historical position (being pro-Islam), his statement is probably less about skewering Ben and more about promoting Omar. Glenn is prone to going all 'racist and bigotry' when someone speaks against the LGBQ, trans or gay lobby. He is equally caustic toward Christians esp of the fundamental (Sola Scriptura) brand. His 'principles' don't extend far beyond his own identity group.

However, it seems that he got this one right proving once again that a broken clock is right 2x per day ... but otherwise useless.

I've been wondering. . . if someone wanted to boycott Israel, how would they go about it? What does the average American buy that comes from there?

Blogger Ariadne Umbrella March 05, 2019 11:27 PM

#44. Pretty much anything you see heavily advertised in a major magazine is going towards a company that contributes in some way to a Jewish political lobbying group. Estee Lauder's son or grandson ran the World Jewish Congress, or something like that. So, every bottle of Clinique Turnaround Crème, or Estee Lauder lipstick, has some money headed to interests that are maybe not your interests. I've seen lists of all Christian makeup and skin care businesses. It's heavy on brands you maybe haven't heard of.

It would take some effort for the 'mindful spite' necessary to not shop from a Jewish business. You would risk a certain amount of status signaling loss: those advertisements build expectations. Being okay about buying from more obscure, less famous brands, ones that don't have all the ads reassuring you that this product is the best in the world can be touchy. Plus, they didn't get money by being bad at their businesses: so there's a certain 'cutting off your nose to spite your face' quality to the whole effort.

as to how to actualize a boycott of jewish product: virtually EVERYTHING you purchase as daily staples carries a kosher tax, so one could start there.

The odd part is the groups with the most fuel against AIPAC, like CAIR, are also about allegiance to foreign powers, like Saudi Arabia. I'm NOT SAYING that's better, all I am sadly pointing out is people standing for nationalist principles are a minority and will simultaneously get called anti jew and muslim from the people who hate eachother.

Benji goes for the disqualification with "nefarious" and the Konspiracy spelling of Jew, but he lets his fellow "joos" down by choosing "undergird."

Naw -- Little Ben may be an evil neocon rat, but he's not stupid.
Looks more like a deliberate rhetorical shift in midsentence -- from his sarcastic characterization of the other side's position, to his own position. He's trying to portray Israel First as the natural, "normal" stance for his "fellow Americans" by contrasting it with with the obvious "craziness" of those who exhibit inadequate levels of philosemitism.

"Nefarious Joos," "money," "dual loyalty"... all meant to evoke the idea of the other side as a so-called "anti-Semitic conspiracy theory" in a sarcastic, mocking, yet vague manner. But what are Adelson, Saban, Singer, et al conspiring to do? Not just to undergird, but to undergird American support for Israel. "Support" sounds pretty benign -- and they're just "undergirding" something that is already there. Strengthening an intrinsically American position. Reinforcing it. How can that be "nefarious," goyim?

To continue in the same vein that he started with, he might have gone with something like "The nefarious Joos and their money and dual loyalty conspire to subvert the US government and involve us in endless neocon wars for Israel, which cost us thousands of lives and trillions of dollars, for no discernible gain..."

Delving into the specifics of these "anti-Semitic conspiracy theories" can get tricky. It's often better to go with a quick, snide "da ebil jooz" remark and move on.

@47

#53: I saw a list of brands for makeup from a prominent influencer. It didn't have any of the expected brands on it. So I poked around to see what I could see. I'm not sure, but I think it was an all-non- Jewish list of companies. It's not someone you think of as political, or even that bright. It was an amazing tour de force. Handily enough, because whatever Jewish political group isn't dipping their beak, the prices were lower, and the quality was at least as high for the nice stuff, and much nicer at the lower end.

2. For the face stuff, there's a lot of Asian beauty brands. They have a different approach, and different chemicals, and some gorgeous results. It has a very different look than more European style makeup.

3. For clothes. Ooosh. That's tricky. There's all sorts of tiny new brands in America. The quality can be amazing. I pretty much cannot afford any of it, but if you've got the dollars, what to look for is mostly marketed on Instagram or other online social media accounts. The MSM is not where one finds new things.

4.There are online methods of shopping for Asian goods without needing to know any Asian language. I have no idea how it works.

5. That's not everything, obviously, but it's a start.

6. Furnishing the mind: well,Mr Day is spot on in his reccs.

won't work though:

if/when the the ZOG in 'Murka is overthrown, Israel itself - which is a complete military/political/economic parasite on 'Murka - will dry up and blow away very rapidly. So it won't be there to send (((them))) to.

we'll have to think of something else. Of course, given the manner in which shabbatz goy polticians like Trump continue to bamboozle Whites in 'Murka, it appears the domestic Jews have little to worry about.
