Stream.me shut down

Ethan Ralph explains why the owners took it down:
Ethan Ralph, the owner of news and talk show Killstream, Stream.Me’s biggest channel, has attempted to defuse speculation. He just now stated via a provisional youtube edition of his show that he spoke to the streaming platform’s owners and been given an explanation for the disappearance.

“What is going on is, there’s a board on 8chan — they doxxed the owners of Stream.Me,” said Ralph, referring to the /cow/ board on the infamous imageboard popular with edgelords, neo-nazis, and communists. “They doxxed their family, there were calls made to the owners saying ‘we know where your kids go to school, we know where they live’ — and they decided to pull the plug on the entire site.”

The owners’ wives also received photos of themselves covered in the trolls’ semen....
I certainly understand why they decided that it's not worth the bother. Although it's a pity to lose what was a steadily improving streaming alternative. These days, you need to have an action plan in place for when the SJWs come after you. Because it wasn't ordinary channers doing this, it was Antifa, of that you can be sure.

"Don't buy from Jews" has nowadays been replaced by "don't buy from good people or else". Can one not find out who these people are and take them to court if nothing else?

You find out who they are. I've done it on several occasions. They tend to change their tune when the police show up at their door.

These groids need to face severe consequences before the terrorism burgeons. In Europe, antifa are like a genuine mafia, with connections to law enforcement, politicians and the Deep State, and they can seriously hurt people with street violence with impunity.

It would be good if someone could find out who these people are and provide their identities to law enforcement in the United States that isn't totally complicit. If it gets as bad as it is in Germany we are in serious trouble. Gang violence plus the state is a hard thing to oppose.

And follow the money. These Antifa fairies are funded by Soros types, so it is past time to hold their financiers responsible (and freeze ALL of their assets while investigating). Moreover, I would not be surprised to see faceborg and gaggle financing Antifa (through various fronts) to advance their agenda and, in this case, kill competition. Yet no one investigates such links. Like I said, freeze their assets while conducting a long thorough terrorism investigation (including the typical perjury traps)... make the process part of the punishment. Sauce for the goose, etc.

This is important.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to maintain online anonymity in face of a concerted effort to find out your identity.

It can't be done. A VPN will only take you so far.

If you have been on the internet for more than a year, it is (comparatively speaking) easy to find you. It doesn't matter what precautions you take.

Blogger JACIII March 06, 2019 8:05 AM

The US govt is complicit in Antifa antics by not placing it on the official terrorist organizations list and thereby exposes antifa for exactly what it is; an establishment weapon.

@VD I agree it was a false flag but I am pretty certain it was the Kiwi Farms. We had Josh banned from stream.me a few weeks ago for the usual (stalking, his history of bans for hosting Child Exploitation material, running an email service for hoax terror threats and all other delights).

A week or so ago I started getting unhinged emails from a person using an email account similarly named to mine. The emails read similarly to Josh and other Kiwis.

Then there were emails clumsily impersonating me to Stream.me targeting Ralph and Godspeed (who had done a video about Josh's paedophilia). When stream.me saw through them, I am told the perpetrators targeted the families of the company owners by downloading their family photos (including children) from social media then uploading copies of the photos spattered with semen.

Josh and the Kiwis hate /cow/, Godspeed and myself. The targeting of Ralph was a red-herring.

I wish people would understand that Josh is not Conservative or alt-Right he is an alt-Reich neo-Nazi wannabe with a disturbing history regarding his online sexual behaviour. Kiwi Farms took a public vote to target children and have repeatedly carried it out. They are degenerates who belong in prison.

Involve law enforcement, attorneys, submit warrants, drag these people from their rocks and crush them.

What these people did by folding up their site is the worst thing they could have possibly done, as it encourages the expansion of this activity.

Asymmetric warfare - they only have to doxx you once, many people can continually doxx you. The Trolls might be annoyed by the police, but ordinary people have much more to lose. You have to fight every day, they only have to try occasionally from their basements.

How many times does it take to realize that (anti)social media participation makes you vulnerable. This pathological need to be open and inviting to The World is the epitome of this Mania of Pathological Trust and Openness. Nothing will shock most people more than when this herd-level idiocy inverts and people become so distrusting that the idea of posting a family photo on line is deemed a signal of UTTER INSANITY. People used to pay EXTRA for an UNLISTED phone number!!

Back in the 1970's when the Weather Underground and other kook outfits were in play there was a public bombing of one sort of another averaging every two weeks according to what I read last week.

We're not there yet, but it doesn't take a Rocket Science Ph.D. to see it's coming. Anyone who isn't ready to confront that level of insanity (I'm not) should aim at a low profile. Threats won't march up to you and give you a "fair fight." Real threats will sneak in and stab you in the back when you least expect it. They're chicken-shit cat-rescue-hoarder kooks, of course that's how they'll roll. It doesn't mean they're all harmless. In coming years they won't be.

Blogger Fuzzums Wuzzums March 06, 2019 10:13 AM

Any alternative streaming site with "muh free speech" as their TSA will always attract those which were banned from all the other platforms and with that all the associated baggage. You either cater to them directly, which Stream.Me did not, or learn the hard way why those people got banned in the first place.

I stopped trusting Stream.Me when they banned the guy that runs KiwiFarms, formerly of 8chan fame. Don't really care about him, he's a very dubious individual, but as a business you can't invite a bunch of edgelords to your site in order to raise your numbers then turn your back on them because you wanna be seen as some sort of Twitch competitor. You swim in shit you're gonna get dirty.

Ralph is the exact same. He condoned doxxing publicly on his show several times (including 8chan, including KiwiFarms) but then whoops! his supporters started getting doxxed at which point he cried fowl. Then Stream.Me cried fowl when they got doxxed even though they personally invited Ethan Ralph to stream on their site.

It's just another example of "rules for thee but not for me" and I'm sick and tired of it.

The problem with punching back is some people simply don't have the time or desire to engage in combat. I've noted Trump is our "Rooster Cogburn with True Grit".

One solution might be some kind of hire a mercenary crowdfunding site where "Reward: $X for the arrest and conviction of whomever is involved in this harassment". or be a TrueGritForHire. And let those who enjoy fighting and probing fight and probe.

For stream.me, they may be that stupid to have DNA samples. And the rest. I hope they are involving law enforcement.

You know if anything like this happened to someone on the left it would be considered a hate crime.

Blogger tz March 06, 2019 10:47 AM

@30 a VPN is only half. As you are browsing, unless you are using something like uBlock origin that stops Facebook and Google(-analytcs among others), you are leaving breadcrumbs. Tails and Tor, maybe, but even then there are leaks.
So what if a half dozen IP addresses are used if all have the same unique supercookie.

Nobody really likes Josh, very dubious guy. This includes the Kiwi edgelords. Nobody EXCEPT Ethan Ralph of course who had him on his show regularly. Ethan Ralph... who publicly praised KiwiFarms.

Let's not beat around the bush. Stream.Me invited Ethan Ralph which invited Josh which invited the edgelords. All was peachy while they were buddy-buddy but then they started turning on each other. Lots of backstabbing, lots of doxxing, lots of behind the scenes gay op's. Stream.Me was the ship they sunk in order to stick it to the other side.

That Godspeed guy is only looking for an excuse to mess with people while keeping the high ground.

And let's not forget brainlet Ralph admitting to downloading 35gb of CP and then sending it to someone else live on a stream on YT. I mean just picture the headline: "Stream.Me Top Streamer Admits Owning and Distributing CP".

All these elements alone would make someone pause and wonder "is it worth it?" regardless of family members getting doxxed.

@26

The man I used to go to for my preferred firearms training experienced the bad days of the 1970s and early 80s as a NYPD cop. He always said that those days are coming back, and nothing I have seen over the last 5 years since GamerGate started has given me reason to doubt his prognostication.

Buy a gun, get training on how to use it, practice with it regularly, and get your concealed carry permit, if such a thing is available to you, because the left shows absolutely zero signs of slowing down, much less stopping, on their hell bent charge towards making 1984 reality.

Like using Fiver to staff a group of bounty hunting doxxers?

I've noticed there's a hard line between people unwilling and willing to dox people. I don't think it's a skill that you can teach to those fundamentally opposed to doxxing. And there's nothing wrong with that. I figure, however, that not using a skill that is used against us is a tactical misstep.

In my own experience I've had problems onboarding police in the subjects' jurisdiction to deal with the problem. One incident where an illegal in Indiana already being charged for bringing in copious amounts of meth from Mexico was met with a complete lack of interest by the local 5-0. Maybe I'm jumping the gun bringing this up but I figure it's good to talk about such issues.

Theres VPNs that are incorporated in other countries that send logs to /dev/null every 24 hours. Them being based in other countries requires court orders from that countries authorities. If you're use public wifi theyd have to get a court order to get the ISP records from the person or organizations ISP. Plus if you're using a directional Wifi antenna or range increaser to access the internet you can easily change your IP address by the hour. With all the high IQ circle jerking and posturuing that goes on the lack of infosec is frigtening.

The problem with doxxing is in its definition:

doxxing = whatever the other guy does that enables me to claim victimhood even though no actual crime was committed against me

I find really peculiar how fundamentalist free-speech advocates are vehemently against doxxing... until they themselves get doxxed at which point they don't care about doxxing other people anymore. How very, very interesting.

One thing that occurs to me here is that all the things that make it hard to track down and prosecute a person who is threatening you in this manner will ALSO make it hard to find a motive and link you to them should you figure out who they are and take the law into your own hands to defend your family.

They already have. Its called 2nd degree harrasment. Its rarely enforced, but thats what doxxing falls under.

Plus posting private information generally is a violation of a lot of services code of conducts. If you say for instance get someones name from a public source (e.g. property tax records) and post it thats not doxxing. If you run a background check on someone and release the info then your harrassing them.

From Israeli newspaper Haaretz:

But as @16 notes, antifa's professed Communist ideology is secondary to their real function -- to serve as a plausibly-deniable secret police to attack/ suppress political dissidents on behalf of an alien, hostile elite.

We have the illusion of anonymity. The only real way to be anonymous is to purchase a machine in cash, never use it for anything and keep it turned off until you can find a truly anonymous open (unsecure) network somewhere you won't be being videotaped.

You probably want to open the machine up and physically remove the GPS antenna and the cameras and mics.

Most people are using machines which go no indication that anything is happening. It used to be that pretty much all video cameras had a light that would glow when it was active. Most of the phones don't even have a removable battery, which means the phone might not really be turned off.
