Convergence in credit cards

As it is written, every organization that becomes converged loses its ability to perform its primary function. Mastercard is in the process of doing so:
Every time someone in the trans or nonbinary community has to whip out their credit card to rent a car or buy dinner, they may be required to prove a credit card that misidentifies them is actually theirs. That can mean a string of uncomfortable, personal questions that may feel like harassment masquerading as security concerns, and it can make going about daily life not only emotionally draining, but downright dangerous.

According to one survey, nearly one-third (32%) of individuals who have shown IDs with a name or gender that did not match their presentation found themselves being harassed, denied services, and/or attacked. That is a lot to deal with when you’re just trying to buy groceries, see a movie, get your hair done, or just exist in the world.

Now Mastercard is taking one step toward making life a little easier for people in this situation. The company just announced the True Name card, which will allow people to use their true names, not deadnames, on cards without the requirement of a legal name change. The True Name card will make lives easier and safer.
One of the primary functions of a credit card is to correctly identify the person to whom credit is being provided. Now imagine the myriad of ways this new security hole is going to be exploited by thieves and credit card scammers.

Clerk to tall bearded man: "Why does your credit card say Penelope Chao?"

Penelope: "That's my True Name."

Clerk: "You didn't steal this card from that little Asian woman whose purse was snatched in front of the store yesterday?"

Penelope: "Of course not! Can't you tell I identify as a woman?"

Clerk: "My apologies, Ms Chao. No offense intended."

Penelope: "None taken. Hey, gimme three packs of Marlboro Reds too."

They do understand there is a legal process available for officially altering one's identity.

If one goes through that process, they could rename themselves as a collection of racial slurs and official organizations would be required to address them as such regardless of "corporate policy".

Maybe we just wall off the cities, cut supply lines, and let nature sort it out? How long would it take? Inside of five years we’d have the culture back.

good luck.

The regulatory changes under Obama made it so hard to start a bank even Wal-Mart failed to find away.

This is a mere fragment of the "financial inclusion" initiative that financial powers are cooking up. Every global citizen gets an identity card - no borders. Mastercard et al get tens of millions of new debtors from the global south, the millions have identity cards.
- No down side for Mastercard really, in this case they can save the world whilst enslaving it.

Mother is 85. Her first vote was for JFK/LBJ in '60. She is southerner.

When we talk about the changes she has seen in the USA over the course of her life, she normally talks of the degeneration into depravity. The total surrender to sin and lunacy. She claims that her parents started noticing the fall soon after WW2. I sure the down-slide started much earlier but she reports what they noticed.

I have seen much the same thing, only at an ever accelerating pace.

Facebook is building a currency backed by crypto. Dr. Hudson's work talks about where currency came from, it's basically a physical representation of some entities cost accounting. Just because you can't build a bank that shares some other entity's books doesn't mean you can't create a bank like back in the Jacksonian era and print your own money.

The point is that building a bank doesn't require acceding to the regulations of the frame for what a bank "should" be. Once you step outside that box there are more possibilities.

Blogger wahsatchmo June 19, 2019 11:42 AM

This will create problems for the IRS, of all things. The IRS has severe identity theft problems now, and as part of their efforts to combat it they have linked taxpayer accounts with Experian. If you can't match the data that Experian has in your credit report, you may have problems filing your taxes.

As far as I know, the IRS still doesn't care about your True Name. If your legal name doesn't match the True Name in your credit report, good luck proving your identity to the IRS.

Blogger Jay in DC June 19, 2019 11:46 AM

This is great news. As someone who has very personal reasons to be the 'Gray Man' this type of stupidity is of huge benefit to me. The farther I can be away from my identity the better off I am. I fully intend to get a 'True Name' card with my non-binary gender pronouns. Anything these raving religious zealots can do to make me untraceable is a huge plus. Please support this!

Once you all get 'marked' by big.gov you will understand why this is a great asset to our side, so in this particular case, this type of easily exploitable anonymity should be encouraged heavily.

Blogger DonReynolds June 19, 2019 11:59 AM

I suspect the "official" reason for this is to make life better for transgenders and cross-dressers, but the main beneficiary of this new wokeness will be "Pancho Gonzales" and "Jose Rodriguez" (not their birth name), who have never used their "legal name" since they crossed the border at Del Rio, back in 1995. Since then, they have made the rounds to flea markets and specialty shops to buy "lost" or "stolen" social security numbers and assumed the identities of who knows. Now they can get their credit card name changed as often as they get new social security numbers. Wait till all our friends find out!

Of course you don't have to if you have a cartel of banks working together in violation of anti-trust law to support your unconstitutional extra-federal minting of private currency.

Just keep in mind those cartels are "woke" and unaccountable to voters for their poz.

Likewise for banks; generally you just need to have the desired name on your signature card.

Trannies that are trying to "exist in this world," is like the language used by all of the denizens of these progressive sh*tholes that are trying to pass laws saying that white people will be fined and/or arrested for calling 911 on black folks who are "just trying to live their lives/just trying to exist."
It's like the creepy "bodies," thing. Black bodies, tranny bodies, migrant bodies, but never white bodies. Or white souls.
The best way to dehumanize people is to imply they have no soul, they don't even exist to have a white body. I mean, what is white, anyway? Race is just a nebulous term, a social construct, not even an actual thing!

Blogger Lazarus June 19, 2019 10:32 PM

It does not matter what they call it, if the name is in all caps it is still a corporate name, and does not refer to the human name.

In the Western world and many Eastern countries, shortly after babies are born, the government puts a bounty on their heads. This is due to the fact that all governments consider their citizens as capitals and properties. Even though you, as a citizen, are considered property of the corporate government, it has no jurisdiction over you as a living man or woman. However, if you agree to be a citizen (“person”) of the corporate government, then it has jurisdiction over you. Why? Because by agreeing to be a citizen, you also agree to act in the capacity of an artificial person (fictitious character). As a result of that, you agree to live in the land of fiction, also known as the land of the DEAD. Be aware that an artificial person has no natural rights.

Why Your Legal Name is Written in All Capital Letters
