Culturally enriching Fargo

It's simply astonishing how crime rates coincidentally change in harmony with the changing demographics.
Jones was out walking his dog around 1 Friday morning by the corner of 4th Street and 6th Avenue North near downtown Fargo He had a funny feeling about two men who were walking nearby.

“When I saw them watching me and I looked back at my dog and I heard pow, pow, pow, pow, pow,” Jones said. “I saw my neighbor who was running and he fell face down and was like help me, help me.”

Jones called 911 and ran back to the victim until Fargo police arrived.

Authorities say the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Jones said. “I could not believe it because I’m from Alabama and down there crime runs rampant and I moved up here to get away from it and not in a million years did I see something like that up here.”

19-year-old Kareem Byrd and 30-year-old Charles Harris the third, both of Fargo, were taken into custody in the murder of 38-year-old Jason Halvorson.
In Clown World, everything is inexplicable and coincidental. And in another ten years, writers will be writing science fiction stories about going back in time to assassinate Norman Borlaug before he goes to college in order to save the human race.

"going back in time to assassinate Norman Borlaug..."

Ok, that one took me a couple of minutes to get.

Blogger Mr.MantraMan June 11, 2019 3:04 PM

Football or Basketball - Americans? The shiftless grift that follows college sports and supplies the locals and students with drugs.

Blogger Dox Day Teddy Spagetthhi June 11, 2019 3:04 PM

Poor Fargo.

Another tragedy another example of a generation gone mad the 20 to 30 somethings are just, well, similar to a generational disconnect.

The diversity and vibrancy is almost everywhere but where its not Clown World to living in America day to day is like Halloween.

You have a choice ClownWorld or Halloween: freaks in clothing, freaks, clothing, evil days.

Pour the Holy Water.

I'm praying for revival.

Blogger tublecane June 11, 2019 3:09 PM

It'd be easy to get Norman, isolated on an Iowa farm in the 20s. Near a town that couldn't have had more than a few thousand inhabitants.

To be fair, I don't know Borlaug's position on mass migration. But either way, he can't be blamed for us letting them in. He's responsible for the Doom of the Third World perhaps, but we ought to be able to keep all the desperate, hungry, violent, stupid, grasping people in Africa to face their fate alone.

Blogger Mr.MantraMan June 11, 2019 3:31 PM

Resolved, Norman Borlaug gets composted.

Blogger CA3 June 11, 2019 3:59 PM

I've read enough stories regarding food truck operator slayings to be pessimistic enough to think that drug dealing may have been the variable in the equation that prompted this killing. If you're selling BBQ at 1am in the morning on a regular basis, it's probably god telling you to open up an actual restaurant or store front cafeteria and offer delivery.

If that's how this story develops, then the area gangs and police had likely all been onto his operation for a while before this occurred.

Blogger Noah B. June 11, 2019 4:02 PM

Sounds like a good plot, why wait ten years?

Blogger JRR June 11, 2019 4:05 PM

Doesn't sound like he's from Alabama. Crime is very rare here. He may be from Birmingham.

Blogger Azimus June 11, 2019 4:09 PM

I love the rooster tail hair Charles Harris III. That kind of hair is a red flag - any man that spends that much time preening himself A) has terrible priorities and B) is WAAAAY to into himself. And apparently C) is a murderer.

Blogger John Best. June 11, 2019 4:24 PM

It is rather amusing how people react to not-white crime in white areas. They literally can't believe it.

Blogger Miguel June 11, 2019 4:27 PM

The powers that be can always trace the causes of all evil in the world to the various and distintc European nations but they can never associate crime rates with ANY of the non-white tribes.

Blogger David Ray Milton June 11, 2019 4:32 PM

Not going to lie. I had to look up that reference. That could be some good rhetoric. We could start calling the vibrants “Sons of Bourlaug” or “Bourlaug’s Bastards.”

Blogger pyrrhus June 11, 2019 4:35 PM

"going back in time to assassinate Norman Borlaug..." Good one VD! But while were at it, lets make a stop in 1965 and provide instant term limits for Ted Kennedy and a few other (((members))) of Congress..

When advanced agricultural techniques were increased in Europe, Europe became 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 people on the face of the Earth. The result was outward expansion and conquest. Massive growth in population has often been the impetus for outward expansion. Nazi Germany did not invent the fact of lebensraum. Spreading this agricultural production, especially to the third world, could hardly be immune to this human hstory. Willfully expanding this to outside of Western Civilization, especially after WW II and the coining of the term for expansion, he surely can be blamed. His ideas were not simply adopted from afar, he lead the introduction. The West can take the blame for the decay, which has allowed them in peacefully, but it was only a matter of time before they tried to come in by force and numbers, especially considering the rises and falls within civilizations. He built that.

Blogger HouellebecqGurl June 11, 2019 4:44 PM

The area my family is from in N Alabama has some small property crimes and domestic violence, but the violent crime rates are tiny.
For now. :(

The brown hordes are starting to breech the county borders seriously now.

Blogger VFM #7634 June 11, 2019 4:47 PM

Agreed about Borlaug, but Alexander Fleming may be another, perhaps even more appropriate target... Muslims were decreasing versus Christians because of their high STD rates until penicillin came on the scene. And as for the negroes and their STD rates...

Blogger DonReynolds June 11, 2019 4:48 PM

People refuse to understand that a place is not a spot on a map, it is defined by the people who live there, and who they allow to come there.

If trash lives there, it will be a trashy place and trashy things will happen, no matter where it is located or what place is nearby.

If you want to make paradise into a trashy place, just let the trash come live there. Paradise does not change the trash. The trash change the paradise.

Blogger Anthea June 11, 2019 4:56 PM

Blogger Doktor Jeep June 11, 2019 5:06 PM

Notice how diversity is being intentionally injected into various places that normally don't get it.

I suppose we should do the conservacuck thing and pretend that's all just random happenstance.

Blogger xevious2030 June 11, 2019 5:07 PM

VFM #7634, yep. Advanced agricultural production and innovative medicinal practices are the two biggies, by a long way.

Blogger ElCartero June 11, 2019 5:30 PM

Not just Birmingham, but smaller towns like Anniston and Gadsden, have some of the highest violent crime rates in the U.S.

Blogger Iron Spartan June 11, 2019 5:34 PM

Fargo is worse than most people think. Lots of spill over from Minneapolis because there are far more jobs than people. My last trip through there had me hit the west side WalMart the first Friday of the month after dark. 4 languages being spoken, and Spanish wasn't one of them.

Most of the time the invaders stay quiet as they know they are likely to get shot, but within 5 years there will be neighborhoods that you don't drive through after dark. Shoot, shovel, shut up is in effect outside of the city limits.

Blogger Argus Bacchus June 11, 2019 5:39 PM

Well, he didn't save the HUMAN race, he saved various "sub" races of humanity -- Mexican, Indian/Pakistani, and African. Borlaug almost single handedly put the lie to Paul Ehrlich's doomsaying predictions.

But Ehrlich did not understand, or appreciate, the ingenuity of a genius mind like Borlaug's. And he was, indisputably, a genius.

But to what end?

Borlaug is arguably the most consequential scientist of the 20th century. And his motives, even in the face of those who opposed his effective agronomy methods, were by most moral calculi "pure."

After all, who would be against keeping people from starving?

But as one of my profs told me in my PhD program, "If you don't understand irony, you don't understand humanity."

There you go.

National Public Radio uncovered dramatically incorrect data on school shootings published by the U.S. Department of Education. We posted this in August, but it’s timely now as we hear the President talk about banning suppressors.

Keep in mind that NPR, despite support from public funds, is left-leaning, and yet they published a legitimate study.

NPR investigated school shootings over a three month period and found that — at least — more than two-thirds of school shootings reported to the authorities during one school year did not actually occur.

Out of 240 school shootings cited, only 11 are confirmed.

NPR partnered with Child Trends and analyzed data from the 2015-2016 school year ...

Weren't the Cohens exec producers of the 2nd season of TV-Fargo, where the "native" American played the role of "implacable killer" and, after depopulating almost the entire cast, went on to live in comfort (i.e., crime pays)?

All justified by "him heap-big disrespected by crime-boss/adoptive father."
