They fear us

And they fear us more than we fear them:
I’m one of the lawyers who writes Terms of Service for software companies. We try to make these Terms as short and clear as possible, because if we don’t, it means people either won’t use the products or they may sue the company, both of which are terrible results for the company. I’m always amazed by the questions suggesting we’re trying to sneak in some sort of clause saying that if you use the product, you agree to give us your left kidney or whatever. All we’re trying to do is give you access to free or affordable software products and not get sued for the way you choose to use them.
However, it's not hard to understand why the converged software companies run roughshod over everyone when they keep seeing people react to deplatformings like this.

"I explained to them that I live in a city with 60,000 homeless people and that they are about to make me and my wife join their ranks."

The extent to which this guy fails to understand the actual situation almost defies understanding. Conservatives staunchly refuse to understand the "war" part of "cultural war". He simply does not grasp that forcing him and his wife join the ranks of the homeless would be considered a feature, not a bug, of the deplatforming process.

Few of even the most converged corporations would risk these "terrible results" if they had any cause at all to expect them as a possible consequence of their actions.

I'm annoyed that President Trump permits Paypal to arbitrarily cut off access to funds in this manner. If a bank did it, people would be rioting in the streets. Why does the government keep letting Paypal act like some weird shadow bank?

I was using Google to search for an image of a crime statistic (trying to get to the orginal data: https://www.city-journal.org/html/distorting-truth-about-crime-and-race-10730.html) and it comes up with suggestions like "what is a document" and a second search brought up "how to capture a screenshoot". It reminded me of the "White family" search results.

I've never seen Google do this with an image. That's insane. I wanted to find the orginal source data to read it for myself. SJW really are a cancer.

If he'd only applied a tenth of his drive and wit towards building an alternative payment platform,

That's a pretty tall order. There are people with real experience in the field who are working on it, and none of them have challenged Paypal yet. A street artist wasn't going to create one no matter how much he might want to. If you can do it, there are billions waiting.

In his case, "create your own alternatives" probably should have meant using multiple income methods, even if some weren't as convenient as others, so that no one of them could ruin him. He says in the article that his wife warned him about trusting Paypal, but he did it anyway.

My online business still takes checks through the mail. It'd be more convenient to push everyone to Paypal, but nope.

Having a high trust society frees up a great deal of time that can be used for productive purposes. People who constantly have to guard their possessions, watch their backs, and fear for their family's safety accomplish much less than those who are able to simply trust their neighbors and communities. It's certainly good to be aware of risks but placing most of the blame on the larceny victim is taking the cynicism too far.

What the right faces now is beyond social pressure to be politically correct. The situation is serious in the U.S.

It would be great to have some Pro Christian, Pro White, and Pro Western Civilization individuals and groups band together, or at least cooperate beyond supporting the approved opposition in our countries. Would be heartening and helpful to see more individuals, and groups be explicitly Pro White, Pro Christian and Pro Western Civilization.

We need to continue to stand up, fight, build, network, and support each other. If we can't fight in the open at all times then we can support our champions. We can ghost and infiltrate.

Thanks to Vox, Big Bear and all those who support them. They are showing us the way.

Long ago in MBA classes, I learned that this was determined to be one of the major reasons that U.S. businesses were so successful - less friction in transactions and in maintenance of the business. Being able to rely on someone's handshake, literally or figuratively, saves time, effort, and lawyer fees. Obviously, a decent court system is also needed for when people cheat. But courts, lawyers, and TOSs are/were a backup, not an assumed normal course of business. I occasionally hear stories where assumed trust is still the norm in small towns. In small towns, people are less anonymous, so reputation matters.

Blogger Nate73 October 30, 2019 7:52 PM

No sympathy from me, either.
All I can tell Sabo is welcome to being a firearms retailer circa 2002 when Paypal arbitrarily terminated the accounts of dozens of firearms retailers and held their pending customer payments for months. Why? Because Paypal decided they wanted to restrict the use of their service to pay for firearms purchases.

Some people need to learn the hard way that using the services of your enemies comes with a cost, namely the ability of those services to cut you off at a time of their choosing.

You know in the movies that scene where the bad guy has the upper hand over the hero and says something to the effect of "Showing mercy is your weakness!" I must have witnessed that scene in at least a dozen different movies. What if that is our enemy straight up telling us how they are beating us.

Think about it. If the whites/Christians had no mercy or empathy or sense of fair play our enemies never would have been able to inject their cultural poison in the first place. It simply would not have been permitted. Even to this day it is our sense of fairness that they exploit to fasten us to our yoke and nail us to our cross.

A balance can be struck I think. High Trust but with an awareness of Low trust groups and individuals who can be manipulative and predatory. Learning the lessons of history and personal experience. Passing them on. Developing counter measures.

@34 Don't some Muslims and Jews have alternatives to standard banking because they don't believe in interest or usury? Would be great to see Alternatives pop up for the right. Making damages reasonably easy to assess. Excellent.

Vox is absolutely right. Start stepping up and suing these swine or at least slapping them around a bit. It can actually be quite fun, especially on those occasions you discover they're breaking the law, have put the breach *in writing*, and the fine involved is around USD13,000 (very satisfying for a simple non-lawyer).

You'll be reasonably astonished at how thin the ice they're standing on so often is, no matter what they think their 'Terms of Service' (or other contracts) say, and that's because they're largely all fairly lazy mediocrities, often simply copying each other's conduct and contracts and therefore errors, who have been getting away with murder for a very long time.

Blogger Fergus October 31, 2019 12:25 AM

Currency is utter nonsense as it's not backed by anything but wishful thinking. That is why the dollar should be pegged to our natural resources in America. There is an easy solution that has been discussed. The federal government buys all natural resources as they are mined. Then the government gives them dollars. In turn the government sells these resources within the USA at a fair profit to fund the government. But the government RESTRICTS these natural resources aas exports. This means we set the price instead of diluting the value. The USA is rich in resources and we could bring our enemies to their knees by this form of economic warfare. Americans win. Likewise we restrict imports that we can make ourselves domestically.

We could start with oil. Tariff foreign oil at 1000% (or ban imported oil entirely), build refineries for all the oil we produce, then restrict the sale of surplus domestic oil to allies (not Our Greatest Ally™️) but only with trade agreements that are beneficial to the USA. IOW, just stop letting other countries screw us.

@12 "It'd be more convenient to push everyone to Paypal,"

Been interviewing website companies, looking for one to re-do/update my company website. One-after-another says: "sorry-no, we DON'T do websites in HTML4 and CSS Grid; only in WordPress." I point out, "I don't WANT to rely on WordPress, which can shut me off / block me out for any reason. I want a standards-based, standards-built website that *I* own; that I can move or set up elsewhere if I need to. Ever heard of deplatforming?!" And they are just baffled... They cannot imagine NOT relying on someone else to protect 'their' company.

They seem like children, always expecting mommy or daddy to rescue them if something bad happens. Like doctrev in @1 above: "I'm annoyed that President Trump permits Paypal..."

Isn't that just: "Daddy-Trump, come be my cavalry!!" "Trump permits"?! I was/am certainly annoyed when the God Emperor didn't send in the army when antifa and BLM were beating up our guys, and the cops stood down I want Trump to SQUASH the @#$%^&* judge who let bikelockfag off on seven video-taped attempted murder charges. And, after he let bikelockfag off, I wanted some our "our guys" to pay him back with a titanium bikelock; but it would not be worth the toll our guys would pay. Pay "him" back meaning either/both judge and bikelockfag! {shrug} "...so shall he reap."

I cheer when a judge actually refuses to let antifa rioters off with the equivalent to a sternly worded letter. But, too little, too late.

There is no cavalry as Vox regularly warns us. WE are the cavalry. We must be the preppers, not merely in food, water, and guns -- but in our day-to-day living and employment choices.

You're confusing two things. There's the WordPress the company and then there's WordPress the software (WordPress.com versus WordPress.org).

The program is fully open source and can be run on your own hardware. There's no reason you're site can't be programmed in WordPress and still be completely independent of Wordpress the company.

That said, you're point is still valid and there's no reason to have to use WordPress, any more than there was ever a reason to have to use Dreamweaver. A company which can only use WordPress is incompetent.

In grad school Iearned about the fight or flight response. Fear is an innate instinct granted by YHWHthat results in physiological changes to enhance combat to threats or when outnumbered, to flee todefensible ground.

Being afraid is being weak. When some human is fearful, they get a shot of adrenaline to extract themselves from the threat. But when constantly fearful, this changes to cortisol and that harms the body, mind, and spirit.

Never be afraid as that leads to cowardice. All soldiers face their fears.

15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Hmm. No banks show up in a quick search, but there are some overtly Christian credit unions:

They may all be completely converged for all I know, of course.
