The nations rise

Vox becomes the third-largest party in the Spanish national parliament:
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's Socialists won Spain's national election on Sunday but large gains by the upstart far-right Vox party appear certain to widen the political deadlock in the European Union's fifth-largest economy.

After a fourth national ballot in as many years and the second in less than seven months, the left-wing Socialists held on as the leading power in the National Parliament.

With 99 per cent of the votes counted, the Socialists won 120 seats, down three seats from the last election in April and still far from the absolute majority of 176 needed to form a government alone.

The big political shift came as right-wing voters flocked to Vox, which only had broken into Parliament in the spring for the first time.

The far-right party led by 43-year-old Santiago Abascal, who speaks of 'reconquering' Spain in terms that echo the medieval wars between Christian and Moorish forces, rocketed from 24 to 52 seats.

That will make Vox the third leading party in the Congress of Deputies and give it much more leverage in forming a government and crafting legislation.
This is another reminder that linear projection is for midwits and retards. Sooner or later, the pendulum ALWAYS swings back. The game is never over until it is actually over, so stop blackpilling yourself and start making things happen.

Reconquista 2.0 is coming.

We're witnessing a cascade preference across the west away from conservatives towards nationalists. It's now coming to the point where either the conservatives start dealing with the nationalist right and enter governing coalitions or they become irrelevant.

There is more good news out there, as well:

In Italy, polling suggests that the League is recovering from its recent downturn in the polls, and is at 33.6% (taken from the last 10 polls by separate agencies). Moreover, the even more nationalistic Brothers of Italy is up at 9.1% (having not gotten more than 6.0% 6 months ago).

Every major poll since October has the Sweden Democrats at 20% or better, and all but one (Novus) has them at 22% or better.

Slowly we are making progress.

In the US, we were looking at the Whig-ification of the GOP until the ascent of TGE. Let's see if he can transform them into a nationalist party before the Dems attain a permanent third world majority.

If the DM article is anything to go by I might have voted "None of the above", of course the DM might have shaded the Vox party's positions as to make the minor issues the major points, but the comments read like FreeRepublic "socialism bad" and others obsessing about invading Gibraltar or something. That is just the usual conservative boob bait, sell out to oligarchs and call it freedom and waste your nation's strength and morale on a stupid cabinet level war.

When we eventually overthrow the Republican Party we need to have a cooler party name like the Voice. It can be Commie sounding like the Hammer or even historically suggestive like Titus’ Bastards.

Republicans? It just sounds limp-wristed...

My response was shade as well but not on purpose, the Catalans issue is a big deal with the Vox party.

Blogger Shane Bradman November 11, 2019 8:36 AM

@8. The Republican part began as a scam. Abraham Lincoln murdered Americans so that he could have a kingdom. He didn't get assassinated soon enough. Anyone that is happy to associate themselves with the identity of the worst president in history should be part of the initial purges.

How about the Crusader Party? We'd get rid of the churchian zio-clowns, the Chamber of Invasion & Conquest, and pick up blue-collar Catholics.

The only Peterson I read is your book, I could have cared less about him, except it quite obvious he was another honey trap for lost boys. The Catalans issue, let them figure out that issue. So I read the DM article and my take is that they shaded the immigration issue so as to make it look like the Vox Party was obsessed with what might be the usual right wing boob bait such as the Gibraltar issue. Reference to Bill Lind's observations that conservative governments always fall for the temptation for meddling via cabinet level wars.

FTR not even you could make Peterson sound interesting to me, my first thoughts about that twink when the astroturf campaign for him started was "Those who created him certainly deserve him."

Blogger Ominous Cowherd November 11, 2019 8:57 AM

Do you really think it is the Vox Party that is is obsessed with the only Spanish issue that the English care about?

Blogger Mr.MantraMan November 11, 2019 9:06 AM

Good point, and I'm an American out in flyover country reading a Brit tabloid about Spanish elections quite removed from it all except the Great Replacement concerns.

I'll bet a good fish and chips meal with malt vinegar that in Britain there is more concern about properties on the Spanish Med than Gibraltar. And I'll bet that millions of residents in GB saw the great movie "Sexy Bastard" and thought to themselves, "I've got to get me some of that living."

Politicians who want to, or have proceeded to, build a wall are the real deal.

On one hand I want to agree, as I would love to have a party in the US that is concerned with the people of the US… on the other hand I want to laugh derisively, as there is nobody as talented-at and eager-to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory than the Republican Party.

You know, that is perhaps the saddest thing about that: that young men are so neglected and despised by society that such bland and vaporous platitude-based 'mentorship' and 'encouragement' was able to take any hold.

Said mostly in mirth. I go by the old saying "Is it better to be bought or sold?" I vote bought. Sadly we on the Right fall for the old scam of right wing naughty talk such as the example Methman Peterson, then the scammers sell us cheaply, leaving the Left firmly ensconced upon the Moral level.

Vox — I searched your blog for posts where you describe your prediction for America’s collapse in 2033, and the first time you mention it here on the blog is a post from 2011 — at least according to blogger’s search results. But even that 2011 post says something to the effect “I’m still on the record for predicting... 2033”. So your very first prediction, where I assume you flesh out the political/economic reasons, perhaps in an article or book, must be somewhere else — can you tell me where it is?
Thank you.

@3 Borsabil: "We're witnessing a cascade preference across the west away from conservatives towards nationalists."

My take (fwiw) differs slightly: the ideological gulf is widening and stances on nationalism versus globalism are hardening. Both the far left and the far right, to use the old and inaccurate terms, are both gaining electorate share while the pseudo-moderates or left-lite are losing. It appears the same is happening in other countries in Europe. On the one hand, it's initially depressing to see the far left or Green party gain seats, but they never seem to have enough for a majority, and the nationalist right parties make bigger proportional gains. The problem, as has been witnessed in France more than once, is that the pseudo-middle and conservatards will ally with the far left to keep the nationalists from power. That's worked for them thus far, but if the polarization and hardening of positions continues, as I feel Vox has argued and I would agree, then eventually they will not have sufficient seats to form a coalition to keep out the true right. Then, as long as the nationalist party remains so and is not cucked by waffling members, we will see some real changes. Deus volt, indeed.

Remember, remember, the tenth of November: El dia del Vox (English: Vox Day)

Anonymous Anonymous November 11, 2019 12:51 PM

Not fully informed on the Vox party but from reading a bit about it - are they strictly nationalists, in the sense at least intended on the blog? They appear to be strongly against the various autonomous communities, which are themselves representing different ethnic nationalities, and instead root for a bit of a civic nationalism combined with Spanish nationalism. Then again, at this point I suppose much of the dialects and distinct sub-languages are nearly dead or subsumed into the wider culture and have begun to sort of fused into a general "Spanishness" that can be considered an overarching nation -- though that's simply what I've read in passing and I'd concede the floor to anyone more fully informed.

In any case, it's exciting to hear of the gains.

OT but not really:
Today in Poland again 150 000 people marched celebrating Polish Independence Day.
This time the globohomo sponsored current Polish "right" government (the gatekeepers) hasn't tried to converge or suppress the March.
The 10 years ago it was 2 000 diehards attacked by riot police.
Today? The 150 000 people, no LGBT, not a one Wester MSM hyena.

What is most important - a few weeks ago the first time since the 1939 Polish right got into the Parliament.

I also VOXted sunday along my family and some friends. Something is changing. Cuckservative party (PP) is being exposed as frauds and the liberal party (Ciudadanos) lost 45 seats.

Despite some VOX shortcomings Overton window is moving slowly but steadily in the other direction in part thanks to them. I got drunk yesterday with so many liberal and socialist tears. Good times.

God bless Santiago Abascal.
