Civic nationalism in Britain

This campaign for the leadership of the Labour Party is built upon an open admission that civic nationalism is fake nationalism for fake nations:
David Lammy has hinted at a potential bid for the Labour leadership to succeed Jeremy Corbyn.

The Tottenham MP would become the first BAME leader of the party, and has today set out plans for a type of 'civic nationalism' that is based on 'shared values' rather than race or religion.

He set out his stool in today's Observer, saying that he would decide over Christmas whether to run or back another candidate who might be better suited to beat Boris Johnson in 2024.

'The alternative to Boris Johnson's ethnic nationalism that Labour should offer is a civic nationalism,' Lammy writes.
This is why "healing the world" means the death of the nations. It amounts to forcing every nation on Earth to accept the "shared values" that are dictated by those who are powerful enough to impose them on everyone else. And if you can't understand that this is a primary objective of the globalist Prometheans, then you are far too short for this ride.

Civic nationalism is intrinsically evil and fundamentally imperialist. It may sound emotionally compelling, but it is nevertheless a short-term band-aid applied to a gaping demographic wound that only delays the inevitable.

For those who are earnest, civic nationalism is just theocracy in denial.

Blogger Dole December 22, 2019 1:08 PM

Globalists are such advocated of diversity, only one "correct" way of thinking is allowed.

Blogger Revelation Means Hope December 22, 2019 1:11 PM

one only need look at the Allies "working together" during WW2 to defeat the Axis forces. Yes, we shared the values of defeating Nazi Germany with Stalin and UK, but they each clearly had their own agenda. And throughout the war, their actions were seeding the massive overturning of the world order in the aftermath.
Reading how Roosevelt and later Truman caved on so many points just to get the UN started, was very revealing.

Shared values is not enough. Let this be a lesson to Churchians as well. And to those considering marriage.

You must be united in purpose, not just "sharing values". "Sharing values" is poopy talk masking the fact that you know you don't really have that much in common, but want to partner up for some short term gain and damn the long term consequences.

So multiculturalism is out?

Blogger Doktor Jeep December 22, 2019 1:30 PM

These "shared values", cohencidentally, tends toward judeo-bolshevistic globo-homoism.
I'm sure it's just a harmless pattern.

Right now in the West there are tens of millions of runts hanging at the food court waiting for mommy, daddy, and the big kids.

I've recently been reading "Against Our Better Judgment" by Allison Weir, who is the current President of the Council for the National Interest and Executive Director of If Americans Knew. I highly recommend this book for those who lean towards civic nationalism and tend to see the "heal the world" crowd in a different light than some of us do. Also Dr. Paul Giraldi did an excellent interview on YT with Reality Engaged channel on this topic (Dr. Giraldi is former CIA counter-intelligence and military intelligence officer and was the founder of the Council for the National Interest as well: https://youtu.be/6oOZDf9Z1IU A real eye-opener on the topic.

I hope Lammy becomes Labour leader. He would be even better than Corbyn. The racebaiter-in-chief would end Labour for good.

Blogger Johnny December 22, 2019 2:09 PM

This business of having a movement that represents more than the followers has a way of empowering the leadership. It justifies overruling the short term goals of the local population because the leadership has something so much more grand in mind. Been done before and it is the stuff of tyranny if they can pull it off.

The commies did the same thing when they first took Russia over. Global communism, not just what the local population wanted. Or if on a race basis, the leadership represents the race, not just the people who currently happen to be around. Abstractly it is a grand goal, functionally it just empowers the people who proclaim it.

The best way to understand 'civic nationalism' is to remember the self-confessed attitude of its proponents:

"It wasn't because we liked immigrants, but because we didn't like the host White nation and wanted it destroyed.

But of course, we can't say THAT!!"

Civic nationalism is the notion that all people are is a set of words.

Believe the words and you belong-- don't believe the words and you are OUT.
But nations are not words - nor are they propositions nor geography nor political constructs.

And Genocide is not destroying humans or a set of words.

Genocide is about destroying a PARTICULAR KIND of human.

Blogger English Tom December 22, 2019 2:36 PM

David Lammy is a useless piece of excrement. He likes to lecture White Brits on our racism.

He was on a UK TV programme called Mastermind and made a complete cunt out of himself. I wish he would just fuck off back to the African shithole he crawled out of.

Isn't Boris a civic nationalist?

Blogger Steb December 22, 2019 3:24 PM

This is hilarious projection by Labour. Despite being pro-Brexit, Boris Johnson is every bit as much a Civic Nationalist as Trump.

Meanwhile Labour, fresh from purging the Jews during the last parliament are set for a second explicitly ethnic internal conflict between the growing Muslim hardliners in the grassroots and the ever shakey alliance between old and new labour, both of whom are white atheists, and much diminished from their heyday but still with their hands on the levers of power.

Lammy, and Black Britons generally, were once the New Labour purse puppies, to be included in the photoshoots but not much else, but now find themselves nicely positioned as a neutral middle ground between the two opposing factions.

The winner will be wherever can best signal their agreement with the anti-semites on both sides without setting off the Twitteratti so badly that the BBC feels like they have to intervene.

This makes me question the makeup of my own country. IMO, it's some sort of weird, bi-ethnic with a sprinkling of civic, hybrid.

I could be on the right track as someone has worked the data available and concluded similar, in that the right wingers (disproportionately descendants of white colonialists) and the uneducated (disproportionately Maori (Maori who have chosen to be identified as Maori)), are ethnic, the women are civic, the older folk are a mix.

WW1 and WW2 had the consequence of fusing the ethnic part. Fight the enemy together and resume in house squabbling when that's done with. Only yesterday I saw Maori claiming Hitler said he would have won if he had the Maori battalion. Not quite correct, but now isn't the time for squabbling.

Lammy isn't a civic nationalist. His complaints about white saviors are well known, even if most people don't read his other comments. I think he's probably the most likely to alienate people out of all the possible leaders Labour could end up with. They have other potential leaders like Jess Philips, who will also alienate a lot of people.

It's pretty amazing that they might throw the next election too. Johnson is going the big public spending and no petrol cars by 2035 route, so when Brexit is no longer an issue, it'll be interesting to see how this shakes out. It should be Labour's election to lose but not if they have a leader like Lammy.

Blogger nswhorse December 22, 2019 4:31 PM

So some on the left have noticed that nationalism is inevitable, and are moving swiftly to once again to control the narrative and frame the debate in their favour. Stand by for whichever dim witted conservative first realises what has happened to immediately accept the new framing, deny the charge of ethnonationalism, and start quibbling what the "shared values" should be.

Blogger Stilicho December 22, 2019 4:34 PM

@mantra man, nah, multiculturalism is one of those "shared values". The primary one, in fact.

BoJo for all his positive qualifies is himself a civic nationalist. What's the ethnos he's supporting? I wasn't aware he was an English

@20: Getting rid of gasoline-powered vehicles and raising social spending is basically a huge chunk of Labour's platform so the Tories pulling it off wouldn't make the election "Labour's to lose," it would make Labour even less likely to get into power.

Civic Nationalism = Brown Nationalism.

It's simply a polite term for destroying White people's political power and culture.

Blogger Stilicho December 22, 2019 9:24 PM

Rush is a closet nationalist cloaked in civnat window dressing for the most part. He has also abandoned the neocons for the most part. The watershed moment was his refusal to endorse Romney in 2012. He is firmly on the Trump train and is generally a bit to the right of Trump. He's afraid to go too far off the civnat reservation due to his reliance on gatekeepers-like the man said, he's a product of his times, but he is also a valuable ally. He has a broad audience and is adept at persuasion. He is headed in the right direction most of the time, if slower than we of the hard right would prefer.

Blogger Derrick Bonsell December 22, 2019 10:00 PM

@34: The word I meant to use after "English" was "chauvinist." Also I meant qualities not qualifies.

Blogger Akulkis December 22, 2019 10:39 PM

When Rush was first nationally syndicated on the radio back in 1989, he was fairly independent, and critical of ANYBODY infringing on the people's rights. He was an Alex Jones with a national platform, in a time slot which was previously the most boring 6 hours in radio.

Then around 1994, he made the big mistake of allowing himself to be schmoozed by Newt Gingrich couple other Republican pols, and was a bit to overawed by the fact that the Republican establishment were even paying to attention to him to that he had a couple on the fringes occasionally guest-host his show in the 1990's when he had to miss a show. During that era, he seemed like he was being controlled by the controlled opposition.
He got fooled by then House Minority Leader Newt Gingich's and his "Contract With America" [his plan to (successfully) "nationalize" the off-year House elections] in which he promised to bring to a vote 10 different ideas which were (and remain to this day) important to the Republican voting base if enough Republicans were elected to the House to make him Speaker of the House.
But what was overlooked was that Gingrich wasn't promising diddly-squat as far as results on even one of those 10 items.

And so, since the entire thing was a sham, he got bounced out of the Speaker's chair in 1996 for the simple reason that he didn't deliver a single win on ANY of the 10 items, thus revealing himself to be nothing more than the starting forward for the Washington Generals.

During and after that era, Rush allowed some Republican Party types to occasionally guest host his show when he was unavailable.

"B1 Bob" Dornan was knowledgeable, but not informative. And Mary Matelin was beyond boring -- all the personality of a rotting fish with none of the insight. Mostly talked about her not very interesting life. I don't even know how she was even considered, being married to the Clintons' maniacal pet shaved-head freak, the meth+coke-fueled pathological liar James Carville.

He slowly crawled out of the NeoCon pit starting around 2007. But I don't think he'll ever be like he was in the 1989-1992 period, unless for some reason he comes to think that he has a terminal illness with a set number of days left on the air, and will have nothing left to lose by going full Alex Jones again.
Unfortunately, he will probably die suddenly due to some cardio-vascular event.

Blogger InformationMerchant December 23, 2019 3:33 AM

@34 It doesn't work like that. If the right wing party has policies that put it center left, its own base has no reason to vote for it and the base they're appealing to is the left wing party's base. All a left wing party has to do in that situation is be a little bit to the left of the right wing party and the right wing party loses.

Lammy should run it would be hilarious. I'm sure everybody will want to vote for a black guy who tells them they're racist because of their skin colour, while saying he is of the same nationality as them, yet excluded from blame himself as he is not the same skin colour yet is just as English as them, but because his skin colour is different from theirs, and they are racist because of their skin colour, he can't be called racist, but he is still the same nationality as them, but they are racists, as his skin is a different colour, but they are all the same nationality and just as English as one another, but he is not racist because...

Hello friends,
I'm a little ashamed to tell such a story. But I would like to share with you a great resource. I've had problems since my sexual organ was too small. I've been worried about this and tried to rectify the situation by means of pumps and tablets. Because of the tablets, which I ordered, I had complications and I was in the hospital for some time after that I gave up trying to increase my penis. But once I found Dr adam herbal cream. My first result was: plus 3 centimeters after 2weeks of usage. If you want to know more details and how you can enlarge your penis bigger, I recommend you to contact Dr adam today, email address adamokpoko@gmail.com or add him on whatsapp line +2348151731392.
