I told you he's not that smart

One of the things that separates the intelligent from the average is the ability to learn from the experience of others. Nick Fuentes obviously falls in the latter category, as he not only talked to the mainstream media upon request, he actually invited them into his mother's house. For an entire week. Needless to say, it didn't turn out well.
In February 2018, a production company called “Karga7” reached out and said they were interested in filming an episode of MTV True Life about me and my show. They spent a full week filming at my house but never released any of the footage until tonight, almost two years later.

Almost two years after a shoot for an episode of True Life, MTV has repackaged the footage into a mini-doc about "White Supremacy" which attempts to portray me as a spiritual successor to this low IQ skinhead buffoon, conveniently right after Groyper Wars!

At the time of this shoot I was 19 years old and had only been doing my show for a year. I initially declined to do the show because I knew "Jason Wolfe" and the media would not be kind to me but I never imagined a farce like this. Obviously I made a big mistake.
Ah, but he was only 19 years old, as opposed to the wise old culture war veteran of 21 that he is now. If only someone had told poor, naive, little Nicky not to talk to the media before February 2018! If only someone more experienced, someone more familiar with the media, someone considerably more intelligent, had reminded the innocent young lad not to talk to the media, this easily avoidable debacle might have been easily avoided.

Why didn't anyone warn this impressionable young master of optics about how the media actually works before February 2018? Why didn't anyone tell him what was bound to happen if he talked to the mainstream media?

I didn't listen to @voxday. I gave an interview to unfriendly media. They trashed the shit out of me. Listen to Vox.
- Jon Del Arroz, August 4, 2017

Never have any sympathy for anyone who falls for the usual bait-and-switch, especially when it was offered by the mainstream media. Because it requires a certain amount of ignorance, arrogance, and narcissism to imagine that you can beat the media at its own game.

UPDATE: The amusing thing is that before this even posted as scheduled, I received an interview request for my views on certain subjects. I sent the would-be interviewer my standard response to those who are not obviously running the conventional discredit and disqualify routine.

Thank you for your request. I am afraid I must decline, as I no longer give interviews to anyone for any reason. If you are interested in my views on matters related to [REDACTED], I suggest you read my books [REDACTED], or review the 21,855 posts on my blog.

If I am feeling less kind and gentle, I simply turn the prospective interviewer over to my official PR representative, Pax Dickenson, to set up the interview.

UPDATE: As Nick Fuentes has indicated that he is willing to debate me so long as the topic does not concern certain events that took place in the middle of the 20th century, I have proposed a written debate to him concerning his assertion that we have to live with multiracialism. I not only disagree with his contention, I assert, to the contrary, that multiracialism is intrinsically incompatible with societal survival.

"The News" (any news) is always a Morality Tale where interviewees play scripted roles (whether or not they are read-in on their lines.)

But almost everyone wants to skip the years and hard work necessary to build their own platform, so they jump at the chance to share their brilliance on someone else's platform. Useful or useless, but idiots all.

Each of us plays a role. But few seem to grasp that you either write your own role (and appear exclusively on your stage) or the dance you'll do comes with strings on your arms and legs, and the audience will be laughing at you, if not throwing rocks.

Blogger VD December 11, 2019 11:48 AM

didnt you do an interview not long ago with Bleeding Cool? Which is an SJW outlet that led to your indiegogo getting shut down?

It appears to have escaped your attention that Bleeding Cool is not, in any way, shape or form, the mainstream media. It is, however, the leading comics industry website, and the interviewer was neither a reporter nor an SJW, but was the Managing Editor. And as I anticipated on the basis of the written questions I received, the interview itself was more than fair, it was downright positive.

And yet, even a positive interview with a relatively unbiased interviewer from a non-mainstream media organization ended up having negative ramifications. That's one of the reasons I no longer allow anyone to interview me for any reason. But no one - including the interviewer, who was demoted - could have reasonably foreseen the outcome.

You can't compare a written interview like that to inviting a MTV film crew into your home for an entire week.

Blogger Tars Tarkas December 11, 2019 11:48 AM

Most of us would never donate our money to the media. That is what the request for an interview should be viewed as. It is you giving them a donation that will then be used to finance making you look like an unhinged sociopath.

The idea that you will reach anyone is also false. The only attention you will get is negative attention that will cost you time and/or money. Nobody who does not already hate you is going to watch or read the hit piece against you.

Just say no.

Blogger Tars Tarkas December 11, 2019 11:52 AM

The one good outcome from this interview is that it provoked Nick into posting a letter from his mother. Pure unintended comedy gold.
Does he really think a letter from his mum is going to get him out of this? Is this his absentee note or something?

If someone wants to be interviewed, he can just do it himself. Write up questions and answer them, or have a friend do it on video and publish it.

The only reason to let MTV (or any other outlet you don't control) do it is that you're hoping to reach their audience. But why would MTV let you reach their audience with any message that contradicts their own? They're just not going to let that happen, and you can't trick them into doing it no matter how smart you are. If you don't give them any material they can twist on you, they'll just scrap the project.

It's heads they win, tails you lose.

Yet funny.

Blogger American Nationalist December 11, 2019 12:22 PM

Even after such a huge mistake, I think Nick actually looks pretty good in the video. Talking about why he marched at Charlottesville was bad optics, but even with the selective editing and unfair portrayal, he actually manages to represent his views very accurately.

A major lesson to take from this is that, despite my optimism, no matter what you say, even if the media doesn't edit it in the slightest, they'll use slow motion, weird camera angles, and sinister music to influence the sheep who buy what they're selling. It doesn't work on those sympathetic to Nick and the Right, but it will work on people who've seen too many movies and TV shows and immediately think "oh wow, sounds like a villain!"

Another thing that I personally learned is that there are a LOT of people who claim to have been part of hate movements, who are obviously lying. I would bet my right hand that the "KKK member" they had Nick talk to is a paid actor, and possibly a Fed.

Blogger ar10308 December 11, 2019 12:27 PM

The people who read this blog are probably familiar with videos from lawyers and law professors that explain the adversarial nature of our justice system (search YT for "why you shouldn't talk to the police"). Why--no matter now nice he is or how you think the words that come out of your mouth are helping your situation--you never talk to cops. The notes they take are designed to be used by a powerful system and the cops are just the outreach tool of a powerful system that has as an agenda to build a case against you.

Influential outsiders who are already sniped at by the mainstream have to realize that interactions with media representatives, even nice ones or ones you think you can manage, are only going to be used against you to build a case. It is the same mechanism the state uses for the justice system.

I've been posting that blog post, "Don't Talk to the Media," to would-be nationalist media stars for a while, and most recent was last night.

After the Fuentes MTV video came out, the owner of a blog wrote on Twatter the story of his recent encounter with the Fake News Media. Just like with Fuentes, Reuters interviewed him for a story, but never ran that story. His statements appeared months later in this article: El Paso massacre upends white nationalists' normalization strategy

Instead of the wholesome story about how pro-White families live they fooled him with, his words were instead used on an article illustrated with a photograph of a burning cross and swastika. Oops!

Hey, all you idiots out there: Don't Talk To The Fake News Media! You are their enemy, and they hate everything you stand for. If the president of the United States is telling you they are the Enemy of the People, then pay attention!

Blogger IAMSpartacus0000 December 11, 2019 1:29 PM

VD is obviously smarter. However you are conflating wisdom for intelligence. Which I am surprised as you have pointed out before that intelligent people fall for media lies all the time because they think they are smarter than the media.

That said you are wiser as well, but even you have failed the media test (though minor in comparison). It's that failure that allows you intelligence and wisdom to work for our good, if we would only be wise in accepting it.

Blogger savanarola December 11, 2019 1:31 PM

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I think he came out looking pretty good. I watched his live stream. The actor they picked (he's clearly a low iq actor) couldn't put together any coherent message. And Nick got a lot of new content. I watched his live stream on dlive and I imagine it will get as many views as MTV did. The media's usual tactic of discrediting someone only works when that someone doesn't have a platform. But Nick is using this attempted discrediting to his advantage. I don't see how he suffers from this attempted hit piece, but I guess we'll see.

This made me think of a couple early seasons of that show that I followed. There were two fairly distinct audiences: people who only watched the TV show and those who followed the live feeds from inside the house. Sometimes their opinions of houseguests were exactly opposite because of the way the TV show presented things. Everything they showed actually happened, but by consistently *not* showing one side of the story, they could turn decent people into villains and bullies into victims. It was kind of fascinating on a meta level, and taught me what can be done with editing alone once they have substantial footage--almost anything.

IQ, obviously, is just the beginning, as the caliber of intelligence must be focused. The Culture Wars are a fantastic focus for turning high IQ into something special. Constant testing of new waters, with indifference to short-term failures leads to GROWTH.

I've been around many extremely high IQ people, but most just specialize into small or at best medium arenas, and the scope is largely set. The Culture Wars has great depth and breathe, and goes way beyond the usual specialties. The scope of the Culture Wars is almost everything in this inverted world. Making it grounded in the Christian West solidifies the attacks on the inversions. An act of faith, and it should be so.

But there's a lot of entertainers harmed by the industry who started as adults who have more sympathy because they have integrity. That's something Nick needs to work on.

Nick should not have spoken to the media, but at the same time it's not the end of the world. It won't hurt his popularity because zoomers turn to social media for news. They're already on to this "ex klansmen":

Having someone film for a week for MTV, and expecting it is going to be anything other than angst and drama, is retarded. Throw out the "should have known better from the media in general," and you're still left with basic level stuff. MTV is for f-wads, with f-wads, by f-wads. Has been for about 30 years.

I began to always comment in my native language in our camp, that there is no point in talking to the media. The same game goes on abroad and maybe if sufficient people get burned, the wisdom of Vox will spread.

Very well. I propose that we debate this quoted statement of his: "Multiracialism is here and we have to live with it." And I propose that we do so in writing.

I will mention this on the Darkstream tonight.

I love this so much and laugh out loud every time. I know you don't watch videos, but if you ever find a few seconds to spare, go to YouTube and find the video "No Gravy By Nickels Fuentes" by the channel "Sleuth of Truth". It's a decent laugh.

All you need to know about the media is contained in this tale:

The media has nothing to do with actual journalism or truth. They are propagandists for the establishment and nothing more. Being right-wing and talking to them is essentially asking to have your name dragged through the dirt.

It seems to me you don't need to be at Mensa level of intelligence, or above to know how stupid it is to let a camera crew live in your house for a week and film you.

That's just crazy to do that.

Fake news media should be treated like the town gossip, heckled, ignored, and never told a thing.

And I agree with VD. Avoid the media as much as possible. They are always looking for an angle to spin. Even if they are neutral or for you.

What would Nick be considered to be? This crowd seems to have prognosticating abilities five, ten years ahead of the curve in terms of sensing who will be rising up politically. So is he trying to elbow his way into a new, more youthful era of talk radio/podcast media regulars but on a YouTube/streaming platform? Or is he actually trying to be genuinely political - a politician or legal influencer, standing up a new political platform? Or is he more a mass-audience "thought leader"/pop figure for a certain demographic? In that case he'd probably wind up being more of a talking head and a face for specific interests and networks who will pay him to plug this or that policy to the herd. Or is he more of a vulture asking for money because he says things the audience wish someone somewhere would say aloud? I'm incredibly dubious of these YouTube star fame-addicts, which he strikes me as. The fact that of all the publications he chose to speak to, he chose MTV, one of the more superficial and fame-addict oriented is telling.

Blogger M Cephas December 11, 2019 8:59 PM

...who can't imagine having a girlfriend

What is the value to Nick of having a girlfriend? He's not in a position to start a family, and because women his age have no sense that some things in a man's life are off limits a girlfriend would try to get involved in his political activity and compromise it in some way. The guy doesn't need to be manuevering "shit tests" at the same time the media is gunning for him. If there are no women in his life, he and his audience lose nothing. The last thing the zoomers need is another Female Primary right-wing subculture that makes pleasing women a top priority and gives women a false moral authority as if everything they like is good and everything they don't like is bad. No girlfriend is a plus: it means no manipulation, no drama, and no "women civilize men" pussy pedestalizing the boomers are so fond of. And besides, traditional Catholics don't have "girlfriends." They are paired up by families in traditional courtships.

I assume the same would happen but orders of magnitude worse if a cop ever actually tried to bust a white nationalist group. In fact, Richard B. obviously most Nick Fuentes fans are probably too young to know, but David Brock used to write Hillary Clinton hit pieces for The American Spectator, which was to the right of National Review (back when national review was on the right), by quite a degree.

The cravings for money and fame are a helleva drug.

Trusting a human, or building a cult of personality around a celebrity, is a most disgusting human trait that does not get the criticism and ridicule it deserves. Trusting a young man, of unknown and untested character, who has not fought one real battle, is the height of stupidity.

That being said, Big Bear screwed up, promoting nick fuentes as he did in the first place, so trying to give him credit for alerting young men to the dangers of nick fuentes is only seeing half the picture with that whole timeline, most views of Big Bear would not even be aware of Fuentes existence, except that Big Bear made them aware. This is not a criticism of Big Bear per say, but more of those of us that want to put him on a pedestal for "seeing thru Nick", which is only half the story. I trust Owens intentions, because he has proven that he wont take the ticket, time and again. But he is as fallible as the next human.

What has Little Nicky actually done.
Vox has built companies, services, platforms, not for himself, but for everyone on the True Right.
Vox has sued IndieGoGo into oblivion and has Google running scared.
Vox has created the phrases and rhetorical attacks that have reduced the worst of the Left to laughingstocks.
Vox's books of political philosophy have exposed the tactics of the SJWs and given the targets working strategies for dealing with them.
Vox has identified, called out, and neutralized the worst of the Fake Right controlled opposition.
Vox is engaged in the work of replacing converged institutions.
Vox has done this without thought of personal glory, self-promotion or financial exploitation.

So what has little Nicky actually done besides telling his followers to go harass an old Con$ervative, Inc. cuck?

@Laxman I read the Irrational Atheist in the second year of my theology studies, about 10 years ago. And from quoting the statistic on how many wars were caused by religion, to exposing Sam Harris's red state, blue state statistical mess, and annihilating Richard Dawkins terrible logic, I've seen that book bear much fruit in the last ten years of doing Apologetics, and that's just one person sharing about one book.

I'm sure, God willing Vox Day will still be publishing influential works ten years from now that myself and thousands of people will find helpful and useful.

The question is: will little Nicky still be living in his mum's basement, trolling cuckservatives, or will he be shilling for whatever replaces the Dailywire?

Nick Fuentes was doing the same degree at the same college as AOC. They have both, in my opinion, been recruited by CIA intel groups within the gov (it's a honeypot college for it, and International Relations and Political Science puts you on the radar), that's why they've both blown up and been managed on social media. Others are well gone by now for doing what Fuentes has done.

The more you learn about the possibilities the more you realise, this is dark money crap and spycraft is out of control.

Of course it is. TV didn't become an opiate of the masses by appealing to brains. It was the lowest common denominator way to get information until social media came along. I've enjoyed some TV shows, but not one of them ever made me smarter, and the time would have been better spent reading.

TV is also fully enemy territory. If you go in there thinking you're smart enough to turn it to your own purposes, you're like the guy who decides to snort coke for the high but thinks he won't let himself get addicted.

Milo held his own pretty well in a couple interviews, as I recall. That doesn't mean it's a good idea to talk to the media.

I saw some of the 'Nick Fuentes White Supremacist' show.
I'm at a loss to understand why anyone would ever let journalists inside their front gate - this is why we have big dogs that sound like they are going to kill people - let alone let them film around their home and family for a week.

And why would anyone agree to be filmed talking to a freakish half-wit "KKK member" who the friendly journalists just happened to have with them. SMH.

Nevertheless I applaud Fuentes and the groypers.
Taking out Turning Point and demonstrating the hollowness of official young conservatism, moralising and directing the high- energy zoomer nationalists is not nothing - it's a great achievement.

Youth and desire for celebrity got the better of him and I'm sure he's learned a valuable lesson.
