Mailvox: deal with it, gamma

It's interesting to see how one gamma troll has belatedly learned that the costs of trolling can come back to bite him years later. I received an email today from someone seeking my assistance to remove his comments from the blog.
I need you to be a friend and remove the comments by "[redacted]." I learned the hard way that employers are very unforgiving regarding comments. But a fall in a pit a gain in one's wit. I also need you to edit out my name in other comments.
So, as I am always amenable to reasonable requests from readers, I went to find the comments specified with the intention of deleting them. At which point, I discovered that these comments were not run-of-the-mill comments from regular readers, but the usual hectoring and posturing from the sort of individual we no longer permit here.

For example, here is one typical exchange:
Gamma: I am almost unable to offer meaningful assistance to you on a personal level, and you quickly become annoyed with me.

VD: Then shut the hell up and stop trying to offer unsolicited advice. It's not that hard to avoid annoying people.

Shut. Your. Fucking. Mouth.

That works 99 percent of the time. If no one has asked you for help or assistance, stop trying to give it to them. If no one has asked you about something, stop trying to teach, help, criticize, or otherwise talk to them about it.

Gamma: It is extremely unwise to return vitriol for kindness.

"If you repay good with evil, evil will never leave your house." (Proverbs 17:13)

Solon:  *Shakes head sadly*

Your reply is ridiculous. Preaching, holier-than-thou, "I know better than you."

He told you to shut your mouth on his blog. The correct response is to accept your chastisement and learn from it, not go full-Gamma and try to tell him he's wrong.

Or to use some logic: your response is not "good," and his response is not "evil." He didn't ask for your advice, you outright admitted you had nothing to offer, and when he said "then go fuck yourself," you responded in butt-hurt indignation. You even tried to use a Bible quote without even having the self-awareness to apply it to yourself.

Shameful. Your advice was not requested, your post was arrogant, condescending, and rude to assume you know shit about VD or why he likes Trump.

Textbook gamma. Vox, I believe you said you were going to start banning Gammas?
So, instead of complying with his request, I replied:

No. You're no friend and you never were. Deal with it, troll.

His future non-employers should thank me. No one wants or needs these people in their organizations or in their lives. I've given these people chance after chance after chance to no avail. There is absolutely no point in helping them evade the inevitable consequences of their malicious and unnecessary actions.

I deal every single day with people holding me accountable for my words. Don't come to me looking to help you avoid accountability for yours.

Ia that the entirety of the email? It doesn't even sound like a request. Seems more like he still believes himself to be your equal, or more likely, your superior. Total Gamma.

And I'm always surprised when average people use their full names on the internet at all, let alone to troll. If yoi depend on others to make a living, be smart and stay relatively anonymous.

I spent years telling children that the Internet was not the school playground, where stupid activity is soon forgotten.
Your activity is in a public place, big boy rules apply, and nothing is forgotten. There was always some idiot posting nudes of his fifteen year old girlfriend, and then finding out that sharing nude pictures of a child online puts you on a child sex offenders list for life.
If people can't take the advice given, so be it.

Blogger Zastavnik Džemo December 30, 2019 8:13 AM

I got my übergamma team lead fired this year.
He literally ticked ALL gamma tells, including incessantly quoting Monty Python.
Thanks to SSH knowledge I identified the problem early.

I really really tried to help the guy get over his gamma but he never listened to any advice (and He did ask for advice!)
Our software team was and is extremely capable one, and all he had to do was let people do their jobs.
Instead he made enemies with both his boss and with us with stupid disrespectful behavior because no one wanted to acknowledge that he was a special boy.
He constantly tried to do other peoples jobs to prove he can do everything. I kid you not, in 6 months he managed to "contribute" code in cloud infrastructure, backend, frontend AND mobile apps, although none of this was his area of expertise and no one asked him to or wanted him to.

I was on friendly terms with him out of pure pity for gammatude, until one day I defeated him in table tennis, which was "his thing" where "he was always the best",
and this made me his enemy number 1.

My strategy after that was simple, I made sure everyone ignored his contributions and never acknowledged any of his work, we pretended he did not exist.
This sent him into a death spiral and he escalated his gammatude so much that when his boss asked "Should we fire him?" we all said "Hell yes".

Unfortunately in all this shitstorm we lost 2 senior engineers before we got rid of gamma.
Fortunately the team survived.
Ofc gamma is suing the company for wrongful firing...

We all have it in us to forgive teenagers when they do retarded shit, but if they're still doing retarded shit after they've become adults they should expect everyone to hate their guts and never want to work with them. Gammas are really fucking insufferable and I hope they will be chased off SocialGalactic once it opens to the public.

The breezy-twee dismissal of the sociopathy is so consistent. But on the "bright" side, this means gamma boy's wit can keep growing in perpetuity. Secret king wins again!

Old me would have been flattered that Vox quoted me here.

Current me thinks that quote was a bit too verbose, and that I was edging toward fighting gamma sperm with gamma sperg.

I've been chewed out by Vox, a couple times actually. Let me be proof that gammas CAN recover, although, like alcoholism, it is a lifelong struggle, and it's easy to fall off the wagon.

Blogger kmbr December 30, 2019 8:39 AM

That's bizarre. Who is he trying to go to work for?

I just got a new job that did a pretty in depth background check. They didn't use Indians and they called around asking people about my character. Repeatedly called references and never connected with them.

I put my twitter account on hidden just because I know that could possibly be found. That was the extent I went to to try and cover my political leanings.

As several commenters have noted, there is great utility found in anonymity on the internet. Everyone’s situation is different and I obviously wouldn’t be using mine if I had consequences to fear.

I do think it’s important that for a movement to gain legitimacy that as many people who can afford to take off their mask should.

It also makes you consider your words before you post, it adds a bit of humanity to the faceless internet, and it forces you to put just a little skin in the game.

Blogger Unknown December 30, 2019 8:53 AM

Blogger Geir Balderson December 30, 2019 8:56 AM

The gammas have forgotten or ignore one simple truth of any blog. A blog is someone else's work of love and visitors are only guests. If a gamma wants to have free rein to show all the World how gosh darn smart he or she is, then work hard to creative your own platform.

Naww, they are too lazy for that.

Blogger Damelon Brinn December 30, 2019 8:57 AM

@1 MATT, I had the same thought. I can't imagine asking for a favor with "I need you to." Twice. Not even if it followed an apology and a "please please please."

Blogger Shane Bradman December 30, 2019 8:58 AM

In communities like this one, the extra layer of trust is beneficial. Raising the stakes helps too.

Anonymous Anonymous December 30, 2019 9:10 AM

@17 Geir hit the nail on the head. This is Vox's house. We're guests. Another observation I'd make is to keep your comments relative to the post. Policing comments makes this blog, and comments, more enjoyable.

And as others have said, the interwebs are forever. This isn't new. I read a story at least a decade ago about being careful with your internet presence, specifically social media. It involved a law student that screwed her chances at a prestigious law firm because they recoiled at what they found on a simple google search.

Blogger Eduardo December 30, 2019 9:17 AM

He is better off doing sonething alone, for better or for worst, it's more suitable for gammas, nobody to tell that your dumb idea is dumb.

If you search on my real name you have to go 4 pages deep into the results to find something by me. There is a lawyer in Seattle that has my name, and he dominates the first 4 pages of search results.

It's a good thing in the long term. I have dossiers on people who might someday try to get me fired. There's no current threat that they will, but I have profiled those who might someday decide that I'm too white or too male or something. If they make a move I'll ensure the entire corporation - and it's a big one - knows of every last shitpoast.
Another thing, Roosh does this: ensure that any internet search on your antagonists name pulls up the crap on them. There's a reason why they don't bother him any more.

I love how this jackass can't stop the self-aggrandizing gamma posturing even in his request to take his posts down. This asshole has his future employment on the line and Vox is holding all the cards, but instead of apologizing and saying "I was an idiot and a jerk to you on your own blog and I'm sorry. I beg you to forgive me," he phrases it with this smug "I need you to be a friend" as if he's Bill Lumbergh telling Vox to work over the weekend to get him his TPS reports.

@ Robert What?

Or it could be that he's having problems getting a job, and thinks that employers doing background checks can find his social media activity.
If an employer has the prospective employee's email, it is possible with background check services to find what they post on Google, Twitter, etc.
I was able to do so concerning an employee I dealt with in 2017. (Vox Day and others gave advice on this blog concerning a problem I had.)

Blogger swiftfoxmark2 December 30, 2019 1:11 PM

Fortunately for me, no one cares what I say online. It can't harm me in any way, except possible roll ups by the Glow in the Darks against political dissidents, I guess.
I recently had my 12 yr old Twitter acct in my real name nukes because I defended my Amish in-laws whose religion was being attacked by a Pajeet thot who, OF COURSE, lives in America and her brown skin has more weight with Twitter's evil Pajeets than my white grandma skin in my own country in CURRENT YEAR.
I really felt a huge loss of all of those long connections and comments I'd had with thousands of people, even media lefties who used to respond to everything you threw at them in a friendly manner!
I know that's hard to believe that was ever a thing, but early Twitter was pretty great. Some of my followers were Jake Rapper and his father in law, 6 ex SNL actors, about 8 ppl at Fox, numerous reporters from Syria, Iran, Russia and India,Trump cabinet ppl and inexplicably, Benjamin Netanyanhu, lol.
You can understand why I felt a genuine loss,I'm sure.
That said, I had posted A LOT of things that would be deemed very unacceptable today, way back then and it spread over 50K tweets, so maybe it's good that it's gone, knowing how crazy things have gotten and how the visits by the Feebs and red flag laws have become a real issue for right wing dissidents and maybe Twitter's Pajeets actually did me a huge favor.

In addition to being a Gamma, the poster is also a Liar (there my be some overlap).

Echoing others on the board, it's true no employer is checking these posts; even so, if the poster used their own name which I doubt unless they are incredibly stupid (there may be some overlap) no employer would find it despite intense searching over a prohibitive period of time. A name alone leads to some vague and false positives in Boolean logic.

However, lawyers in the discovery phase of lawsuits WOULD find such posts, as they have techniques and software that targets exactly what they need to find, as time is points ($$$) on the board for them. Of this I have personal knowledge and experience.

I think we can deduce the poster is therefore embroiled in a civil lawsuit that will cost dearly.

I'm a little ashamed to tell such a story. But I would like to share with you a great resource. I've had problems since my sexual organ was too small. I've been worried about this and tried to rectify the situation by means of pumps and tablets. Because of the tablets, which I ordered, I had complications and I was in the hospital for some time after that I gave up trying to increase my penis. But once I found Dr adam herbal cream. My first result was: plus 3 centimeters after 2weeks of usage. If you want to know more details and how you can enlarge your penis bigger, I recommend you to contact Dr adam today, email address adamokpoko@gmail.com or add him on whatsapp line +2348151731392.
