Start with Britain

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson talks a good talk about defending the right of Christians to practice their faith. Let's see him start by defending British people attacked for practicing their faith and reading the Bible in public:
Christmas Day is, first and foremost, a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a day of inestimable importance to billions of Christians. Today of all days, I want us to remember those Christians around the world who are facing persecution. For them, Christmas Day will be marked in private, in secret, perhaps even in a prison cell. As Prime Minister, that's something I want to change. We stand with Christians everywhere, in solidarity, and will defend your right to practise your faith.
It sounds like a good start. But sooner or later, he will have to address the fact that being a Christian has been redefined by the Prometheans as "anti-semitic". As, of course, has nationalism, self-interest, and drinking coffee.

Just as conservatives have been forced to choose between their professed ideological principles and not being called "racist', Christians are increasingly going to be forced to choose between their professed religious faith and not being called "anti-semitic". The Devil seldom bothers learning new tricks because the old ones work so well.

I would also be remiss if I failed to note that Johnson talks about "your faith" in regard to Christianity, not "our faith".

If conservatives are the bellwether, it won't be long until many Christians are calling anyone who points out their cucking "anti-semites".

As a coffee drinker, living among a nation of coffee drinkers, I am conflicted.

Refreshing view putting the GloHo Left on the defensive like that, good job on BoJo. The usual conservative stooge loser wants to immediately jump in to the Lib/Con game of how many ists, isms and phobias dance upon the head of a pin.

The way the top brass in the Anglican church has caved on the Biblical teaching of who the people of God are, is horrific.

They delight in stripping Christianity of any of it's historical teaching and truth.

The way Christian's freak out at being called anti-Semitic is just as pathetic.

One of the "known" anti-Semites Jeremy Corbyn was accused of defending was an Anglican Minister who correctly teaches that Palestinians are people too, and dispensationalism (Christian Zionism) has no basis in historical Christian teaching.

In other words he's just a classic switched on Christian. And yet his denomination abandoned him. And a politicians get accused of being Anti-Semitic for defending him.

We live in bizzaro world for sure.

Boris should focus on Making Britain English Again.

The major denominations are already well on the way to turning Christianity into progressivism and a celebration of LGBTQP

Doesn't the Church of England have lesbian pastors who perform homosexual and transgender "marriages?" They're just larping being Christian.

Blogger Stilicho December 26, 2019 9:13 AM

@Shimson, you ... nationalist!

It's a rather remarkable speech for this day and age. The mere fact that! Boris gave such a speech has probably cause mass triggering in certain quarters. The use of "your faith" is duly noted, but even a noble pagan as leader of Britain would be an improvement over most western leaders.

Remember, the Pharisees first rejected His arguments, analysis, teachings and wisdom going back to when Jesus was in his teens.

The Gospels have various accounts of the debates between Jesus and the Pharisees, in which he showed the errors in their interpretations, and all this earned from them was their scorn and hatred. The attitude He cast upon them was merely their own hatred and scorn for divine truth being reflected back upon themselves. Nothing in any of his parables or other statements conflicts with Mosaic Law -- yet the Pharisees hated the fact that his statements didn't support their twisted out-grouping of damn near everybody, INCLUDING the Samaritans(*) , who actively practiced the Hebrew faith and obeyed the Law as best they could figure out.

While the Old Testament doesn't support or advocate evangelism, it does show outsiders who worshiped and obeyed God being brought into the nation of Israel. The Pharisees rejected even that, which is why the parable of "The Good Samaritan" uses a Samaritan -- because the Pharisees despised the Samaritans, and there is nothing in the Bible that even hints at them as being worthy of any such animosity, such as Ba'al worship, maintaining Greek-inspired pagan groves, or other religious/cultural offenses.

Israel, as you remember, split into two countries. The northern kingdom which retained the name Israel after the split, and the southern kingdom, Judea. Several hundred years before Judea was taken to Babylon in captivity, the northern kingdom was carried off into captivity, and never heard from again.

People from the surrounding area moved into the land, and generally left their own societies because they wanted to practice the Hebrew religion, and the land was then called Samaria. Despite all that, the remaining, post-Babylonian captivity, Talmudized tribes in Judea (the southern kingdom) DESPISED the Samaritans.

I would have thought that the Babylonian captivity would have been enough for them to learn the lesson brought about by the error of their ways.

We just bounce between Jewish factions, one slightly better than the other. The alt-retards are both right and wrong. Yes ZOG is real, but they don't think through the ramifications. You can't simply walk in and fire your boss. I trust Trump to subvert their agenda more than Boris, but if either were obvious about it, it wouldn't work.

The Assyrians marched Israel right out of the Old Testament, never to return. I think he was asking for sources about where they went, and what happened to them, and where their descendants are today.

I don't think we have any hard data.

Blogger Akulkis December 27, 2019 2:28 PM

Nobody knows what happened to the northern kingdom after the Assyrians took them captive.

Interesting parallel there.
Northern Kingdom was taken into captivity by the Assyrians, who lived in what is now the northern end of Iraq, near modern-day Mosul.

Southern Kingdom was taken into captivity the the Babylonians, who lived in what is now the central portion of Iraq, near modern-day Baghdad.

For years, I have read and seen the advertisements in the mass media about all of the penis enhancement pills and thought that they were all scams or gimmicks. All of the medical sites that I have visited stated that none of the herbal supplements would ever help increase the size of a penis. I got very depressed when I read this, because unfortunately I was not naturally blessed with a penis that was big enough to arouse my sexual partner or past partners. I am a man that is past my sexual primetime and my sexual performance has a lot to be desired.
