White flight continues

And, of course, the media comes up with a ludicrously false narrative to explain it:
Forget Seattle, Denver and San Francisco. Boise, Idaho, is poised to be the hottest housing market at the start of the next decade.

A new report from Realtor.com identified the housing markets that are expected to see the most notable home sales and price growth in 2020. Boise ranked No. 1, a marked increase from No. 8 a year ago.

Driving Boise’s climb up the Realtor.com ranking is the massive influx of new residents from pricier parts of the country — in particular, California. Many of these out-of-state buyers are drawn by the city’s mild climate, outdoor lifestyle, strong schools and its major employers, including HP and Micron Technologies MU.

One of the biggest changes is the shift away from the coasts. All but one of the cities projected to be among the 10 hottest housing markets in 2020 are located inland — Charleston, S.C., being the outlier.
Right, that's why whites fleeing the diversity paradise of California are retreating to Boise. Because Hewlett-Packard - which was founded in Palo Alto, California - is there. That sounds convincing.

The truth is that white Americans are trying to escape diversity and are retreating to areas that are still heavily white. But they can't run away from it because the diversity is going to follow them wherever they go, and they would still rather die than risk being called racist.

And, as you've observed and written before, these same individuals will vote for the same madness which caused them to flee their original homes in the first place.

And then where will they go? What will they do?

It's remarkable how diversity screams at how racist whites are, yet are so desperate to pursue and follow, as if there was some agenda at work. Surely that's my imagination...

Went to check the comments, and of course it's a bunch of idiots calling each other racist and defending against accusations of racism:

...and culture change is the real reason people hate...not racism, not ageism, not even money. When you change a western independent culture into one with more controls put on it and higher prices, people fight back.

I'm so sick of living with these idiots.

this is a problem even in the deep south. people (non vibrant) are fleeing the cities like Birmingham Alabama and Jackson Mississippi and moving to smaller cities such as Daphne Alabama. But as soon as the test scores go up at the public schools, diversity follows and the process starts over.

I moved my family from California to near Boise about five years ago. We have a nice 2.5 acre plot in a growing area that we got for cheap.

When we moved here, I wanted to move to a small town of 800 people, but my wife balked. Now she's onboard with getting out of the city entirely, so we're on a plan to sell out and move to the mountains - a town of 600.

The culture here is very different - concealed carry with no permit needed, people are friendly, and the cost of living is low. Very few Asians or blacks, though you occasionally see hijabs and there are a lot of Hispanics due to the agriculture. Even ethnic restaurants usually have mostly white staff. The politics are largely conservative, but the core of Boise and Idaho Falls have the typical progressive nonsense.

I want to tell all of those progressives thinking of moving here to stay away. But for those of you with an alt-right bent: come on in! The water's fine!

Along everything else Trump hasn't been able to get around to yet, whether in terms of time and energy, or political capital, is undoing Obama's turbocharging of Section 8 and other programs under his expansion of Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing to intentionally target nice white middle class suburbs. Absurd numbers of subsidized apartment complexes have popped up on my side of the city in the last several years. Apparently part of it is grants to get cash strapped cities to approve the projects when otherwise they wouldn't.

May be some white flight, but there is also a lot of Californians just trying to move away from crazy socialism.

The problem I hear from relatives in Idaho, is they come in to the communities and proceed to try to turn them into California. There's no logic to them. Just another version of immigration disrupting a community.

Common Core Math:

Seattle + Denver + San Francisco = Boise

Boise will soon be the land of pink pussy hats, nose rings, purple hair, dudes blowing dudes, cats blowing dogs, women with dicks reading to kids, safe spaces for freaks, elected officials who are minor attracted, tents on corners, used needles in between human dumps and the stench of urine mixed with B/O.

I know this...and I'm just a therapy dog.

I live in mid/southern California. My wife and I have been looking to move to Boise area including Nampa & Meridian. We're not the only ones, and we live in a pretty right leaning area. Along with us, my parents, my sister & fiance, my sister's fiance's parents & family, and 3 of my friends. As Vox points out its not because of Jobs... Openly its to get out of rising crime, increased homeless population, increased drug use, California schools curriculum, lower cost of living, taxes, etc. My parents are both boomers, and even they are finally getting the idea that diversity destroyed our community here. While my dad is reluctant to admit it out-loud, my mom openly acknowledges that the demographics in Idaho are more to her liking.

Location doesn't change attitude or execution that much at all. Newfies are still whiney navelgazers with no loyalty in Alberta, for example. Ontarians are still arrogant "cultured and traveled" shitlibs in Alberta. We don't get the gritty types of either province here.

I live in a place with a lot of labor mobility obviously. It's annoying as hell dealing with these out-of-provincers who don't have the grit to stick it out at home through an economic slump. They all move away anyway when the work dries up here. They'd get more respect if they adopted our "backwards, provençal attitudes" while at home. It's not that hard to stand up and fight if you've been trained as a child to win. Why settle for nice things when you can have kids with tenacity and leadership skills.

Virginia suggests a different model. The diversity lives in the urban areas, seizes power with the help of (((bloomberg))) , over reaches and the natives in the country refuse to accede to their laws.

Idaho is just going to go the way of Colorado. I thought of leaving the nonsense in Washington State for Idaho especially given the ever increasing ridiculous gun control, but it will eventually find its way all over the states. No where to run and hide, so we're staying put for now.

Government should be making no law regarding the free exercise of education. Poor govt mandated curricula in part drive people out but the lure of somebody else being forced to pay sees migration based on ostensibly the looks of govt run destination schools. Voucher programs will see more not less govt control of nominally private schools.

It's like the mass migration from Venezuela to Colombia under the Santos administration, except that devolved into violence not even two years into Duque's term. The fact a still mixed/multiracial population like Colombia responds far more quickly to invasion than the relatively more homogeneous US indicates the level of deracination and demoralization of the American nation. On the bright side, the US is not as diverse as Brazil, and globohomo won't be able to pull that off at the rate people are awakening and interracial marriage rates in the US are exceedingly low compared to the history of Latin America.

I'm really suspicious this is White Flight, and suspect it's probably a disease spreading. It's not just California they're moving away from, but it's Minneapolis, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Denver, New York City, and other metro areas. From personal observations, I've noticed a decent amount of the population moving to Boise are Gen Xers and Millennials with tons of college debt from liberal colleges with meme-like degrees from those cities.

Combine the aforementioned with the fact there will be an influx people moving into the area have little loyalty in defending their previous home area, and they won't have more than 1-2 children is not going going to end well. Of course, the locals will gladly sell their homes over to these people because of similar reasons. The same people part of White Flight are going to corrupt the area slowly through degenerate modern art, restrictive laws for firearms, universities pushing liberal agendas, and while preaching tolerance at the same time.

Blogger bodenlose Schweinerei December 12, 2019 6:32 PM

The "stronk schools" and "good jobs" are not even tells, they're flat out lies, cuz guess which generation many of the new "Idahoans" belong to?

And Boise is the blue center of a red donut. The mayor signed a pledge to bring at least 95,00 "refugees" to the state (but not to his neighborhood). The dominance of the university in the local economy means there's a lot of influence wielded by commie college profs and the idiot SJW hellspawn that gather in the lint trap of the modren American college.

Blogger KPP December 12, 2019 6:45 PM

Boise and the surrounding areas have been growing for some time. A town about 10 miles closer to Boise than I am had 650 residents in 1998. Now they have 20,000. They expect to reach 40,000 by 2040, using conservative estimates.

If you don't mind being two hours outside of a big city, there's lots of room in Idaho, many small towns where you can raise a family and have a slower pace of life.

However, Idaho is not a "safe space" away from all progressivism. Our first visit here coincided with the Supreme Court's gay pretend-marriage announcement and we were shocked to see the Rainbow Hoards that converged on the State Capitol building in celebration. Visiting several local coffee houses confirmed that there was the same sub-culture rot we saw in California. That said, it's still limited here when compared to California or Seattle.

The vast majority of people that I have met who have moved to Idaho from elsewhere are not progressives. They know what they have escaped from and have no desire for it to end up like back home.

White Flight is going to continue until the whites have nowhere to flee to. Self-sufficient, K-selected homesteaders are always going to be able to carve out a new area to live in, but the r-selected jackals will always be on their heels. I fear it probably will take a Yellowstone eruption to finally tip the table over, leaving only the most sufficient of the self-sufficient clinging to it and the rest dead.

They don't hate everything about their old place, just a few things. When they settle in the new place, they start trying to change it to match all the things they liked about the old place, not realizing it's all part of a package. Maybe they miss live theater, so they form a group to fund one, and with theater comes homosexuals. They miss ethnic food, so pretty soon there's a demand that draws in minorities to run the restaurants. They feel kinda threatened by all the guns--maybe they support gun rights in theory, but aren't used to seeing so many casually carried around--so they push for some "reasonable controls." One thing after another.

People lie. And why should you trust their word given the people you talked to gave up the grit and have to justify their sunk costs? Why would you want to look to expats for advice given this reality? I predict those types are one natural disaster away from pulling the plug and moving back home. I.E. they never would have fit in and know it.

That whole catchment area for KSPS broadcasting PBS in the upper west is cowboy country in the USA. Much like interior BC and southern Alberta. We get their broadcasts here and the cultural similarities are remarkable. You won't find local locals at coffee shops. You'll find expats trying to fit in and not quite making the cut. Better off going to Dairy Queen on a Saturday and talking to locals there if the parts stores and feed lots are too big to reconn. They're the only people you should be interviewing.

The reason Owen's move worked is that he embedded himself with locals and the locals accepted him. They work a barter system together. He didn't hook up with expats because he's smart enough to know that's stupid.

Idaho people don't want California people, period. It doesn't matter what their attitude or skin tone is. The didn't fight successfully, and the migration gradient has to be cut off somewhere. Sounds like you never were Ontarian ;-) Fraser Valley people are pretty gritty. I respect your stick-to-it-ivness.

I'm pro-Wexit but Alberta has as long of a history of wanting that since WWI when we sent good boys off to die and got nothing. I hope your opinion changes because outside Vancouver and Surrey, maybe Langley, BC is very federal-skeptic. One of the hardest Wexiters I know is from Trail, BC. His skin in the game is that he has warrants in BC, so he's in Berta till they expire. Fits right in like a hand in a deerskin glove.

As for morale. Battles are lost in the mind before you make it to the pitch. My point is that you can use your lineage's hardship and successes in a new land as a springboard for saying "I will not move again!" And boy oh boy, do I relate to that.

"Good" schools has been replaced by "strong" schools as the dog whistle du jour.

It's like the ever shifting "teens," "youths," "students," etc. when the media has to hunt for a code for a chimp out.

Why do the white shit heads leave their blue hell holes only to recreate them in their new states of residence?

The whites still left in California are actually majority Democrat, so it would appear that those who flee inland really are more likely to be the Republican-voting ones.

Although, there's also a feedback loop where rich Democrat whites colonize areas that tilted more Democrat beforehand, whereas Republicans go to redder states. Unfortunately, as California is starting to run low on Republicans -- it actually provided fewer votes for Trump than Texas or Florida in 2016 -- the outflow of Democrats will start to swamp the smaller states.

Remember, more than half of the West's population still lives in California alone.

Genetic? There seems to be macro behavioural patterns that emerges from the individuals (maybe we'll say culture?). The grabblers for example. Within a generation, they're right back to the same behaviour patterns that got them in trouble previously.

It’s dumb to let foreigners have voting rights. It’s also dumb to let out of staters who move in to have local voting rights as well.

THIS. At minimum, you should have to wait 10 years before voting in a new state, or maybe even city. Even that might not be enough. Azure most likely has the right of it...

There's a difference in people fleeing. In Florida for example there are a lot of transplants who say "never again" to gun control and taxes. But they are offset by those who live in South Floriduh, have a name that sounds like "Sheckelbergstein", and will vote leftist at every turn. Also the capital appears to be intentionally infested with those unhinged leftist types, the kinds that make you feel like they would kill if you they could get someone else to do the dirty work.

Sometimes I wonder if it's becoming a sort of phenotype. These people who shit the bed then move, and shit the bed again, brainlessly the entire time. Maybe globalism intended that: a human race of locusts. And with each blue city falling and blue state going to hell, these globalists are sneaking off with the big cartoon moneybags. They don't intend for this to end until every place on earth is heavily taxed, dinduified, disarmed, and polyglotted.

One thing is clear though, I have seen cold spells in the south where the temperature hits a freezing 60 degrees, and the same parks that are full of "brown people" generally when it's warmer are totally empty except for 1 or 2 white or white-ish people. These people can't take the cold, except maybe where someone else is paying the heating bill. Whatever happens, the "Great Divorcing" of The United States is going to entail losing the South. I imagine, with no great detail or embellishment, people will tend to head for where their genetics see them most comfortable, and the people who can handle cold northern climates will end up there. White people don't do well in warmer climates anyway. It's as if they are designed for growing and harvest seasons, for spending summers chopping wood between festivals and winters burning it in contemplation. I wonder if God will lend a helping hand and lay low the technology that has amounted to a world of babel. One summer in the south without working air conditioning will see an exodus of massive proportions. One winter without heaters and government programs to keep them running will see another exodus going to the other way. It's just the way it is. I have a friend from Haiti I would never imagine living in say North Dakota.

That would only work if the federal and state governments didn't redistribute large amounts of tax paying dollars to individuals outside their immediate community. When you tax individuals and redistribute outside their immediate areas, it instills a gypsy mindset in the local population. Why stay and make your community better when someone outside will take more of your money and spend it elsewhere? It also creates the mindset that your money has been spent hundreds of miles away, so you already can already call it home.

If there was enough support for such a 10-year residency requirement before voting, there probably wouldn't be a refugee and immigrant issue to begin with. The core issue is wealth distribution of middle-class whites to minority locusts.

This is of course by design. Entice others from outside the populated areas to congregate to the large populated cities, so they may be manipulated to serve at the elites' whims.

Yes, indeed. I'm seeing this in my formerly 95+% white community outside of the St. Louis area. I've been here nigh on 20 yrs and only in the last year or so are there noticeable numbers of blacks, in particular. Every time I head to town now to the grocery store, I see at least a handful of them, and sometimes more. I realize that's not much, relatively, but it's many more than I like, and the trend is not good.

As for the other comments about how "conservative" many of those moving to Idaho, etc. are, I'd say: What good is that? We all know what conservatives are: just 20 yrs or less behind the Progressives; more like 5 or less lately. They have no real immune system to the true problem of diversity, because - as pointed out by Vox - they are terrified of being called racist. And so it continues.

They've absolutely destroyed Arizona. It happens quick too. Like locusts. It's not just South of the Border types either. I am seeing Africans everywhere. Californians and Illinois transplants---then their entire families follow.

Boise will soon be unlivable. I'd imagine the infrastructure isn't equipped to handle this fast growth and traffic will be unbearable. At least in Phoenix we have six lane highways.

It's like this everywhere. My husband was out of town working in Sanford, FL this week. Small town outside of Orlando (think St. Skittles). He said it took him 90 minutes to drive 12 miles.

Not too mention, what's the employment base like there? Hewlett, Winco and Albertsons? (Albertsons barely hanging on by a thread). I have seen that movie before. They pick up and move to a new place. Soon find out there is nothing to do there. Then become Jack of All trades/real estate agents.

Ofcourse, the BOOMERS will be fine. They'll buy a 5000 sq foot dream western house and live the dream.

What's going on here isn't sustainable. Or maybe that's just me projecting because I sure as hell hope it isn't sustainable.

@86 I had to laugh at objecting to a "handful". I am in Mobile where there are lots of blacks, and to a great extent Southerners tend to be more used to it. I remember visiting Cambridge Mass in 1983 and being somewhat shocked at the tension I saw when a couple well dressed black ladies came into a restaurant a couple blocks from Harvards main gate.
Anyway, things worked here generally Ok even after Jim Crow laws struck down, but court ordered crosstown busing then Section 8, and now worse under suped up AFFH actively attack the organic loose boundaries we had. Bastards just wont stop pushing. Magically the S8 apartments never land in the most uppity zip code. TPTB are damned traitors to the middle class.
Example: big chunk of land developed a mile or two from me a few years back, w a road cut through it. At one end is a giant combined development w a big nice nursing home, assisted and independent living, plus a bunch of retiree oriented patio homes. Places for white people w a bit of money. At other end is the nicest newer bigger apartment complex where young professionals live, and a bunch of the multinational corps place their foreigners working here a few years at a time: germans, japanese, etc. Two years ago, in one of the spots between the two, was plopped a subsidized complex... with a basketball court out front instead of a swimming pool. This insane, but the federal carrots and sticks work. Shit.

I can speak from experience that the northern, rural areas in Michigan are nearly free of vibrancy.

However, the economy there is not very strong or diversified. If one can't find a job or work remotely from that location, some form of passive income would be necessary.

And what will the new Idahoans who are just as Idahoan as those who have lived there for 5 generations going to do when they get there? They will vote and agitate for the same exact shit they were voting for in California. Boise Idaho is already a major center of racial (black) violence and the ludicrous cover-up of said violence by the press and public officials and police. Colin Flaherty talks about Boise a lot. It will be yet another magic dirt fail. Where diversity didn't work in California, surely it will work here, says the SJW. If it doesn't work, who cares... @16 - May be some white flight, but there is also a lot of Californians just trying to move away from crazy socialism.

This is not an "or" proposition. American minorities overwhelmingly want socialism, embrace socialism, and vote socialism. Don't be confused about this because "not all X are like that", nor because a significant percentage of whites and (((whites))) are feminist studies degree holding Marxists.

If only whites voted in America nearly all forms of socialism-lite would die overnight. Even with white women voting. Look up any map of how the races vote. The difference is overwhelming. Fleeing socialism is white flight.

This is just not true. The 1965 immigration act was passed by a Democrat controlled Congress (both houses the 89th Congress).

All of the major social programs started when the country was 85 to 90% white. SS, Medicare, Medicaid, DPW, SNAP, Section 8 etc. ALL were enacted while the country was white.

Blogger CR055F1RE January 06, 2020 2:42 AM

For Example: I used to live in Santa Maria CA, which began as a white city and now is almost 90% Hispanic (the last bit of white people are too poor to escape). Santa Maria is, obviously, full of crime, drugs, prostitution and gang violence. I, along with most of the Santa Maria whites, moved just south of the city to the town of Orcutt (part of Santa Barbara County). Now, almost on queue, the "upper class" retiree mexicans are desperately trying to move into Orcutt to avoid the crime and violence of Santa Maria - and they are succeeding: The percentage of whites in Orcutt decreases every year about 2% (now Orcutt is around 65% white). Crime has been increasing steadily in Orcutt for years: people are noticing packages being stolen from their porches, cars are being broken into, stores are being burglarized at night and there is now graffiti on almost every blank wall or fence (of which the owners quickly try to paint over - to no avail).

Luckily, as a right thinking man, I was able to decipher the liberal propaganda at a reasonably young age - approx 18-19; but I believe women are more susceptible to political indoctrination because of their weak and emotional nature. I now support a return to strict constitutionalism, constitutional law and extreme limited government with absolutely no immigration from black or brown countries, as well as an expulsion of all "legal" immigrants and black and brown "citizens". Among the resulting all white populace I support voting restrictions imposed on women and unemployed men.
