Chuck Dixon's Avalon #5

The hunter has become the hunted. As the mysterious vigilante continues to stalk her prey, the crack international superhero team is on her trail and is determined to bring her down before she can accomplish her deadly mission.

But is there another way to find her? What is the connection between the vigilante and the unknown coma patient she was once observed visiting in the hospital? The Avalon police, too, are patiently trying to track her down before she adds to her body count.

Chuck Dixon is the most prolific comic book writer in history. Set in the world of Alt★Hero, CHUCK DIXON'S AVALON is the legend's newest creation.

Now available in print at Castalia Direct and at Amazon. The digital version will be going out to the backers as soon as it is ready. Chuck Dixon's Avalon #6 will be ready soon, at which point we will begin producing the omnibus editions for the original Alt★Hero backers.

Very nice. If this opening is any indication, 2020 is looking to be a good, entertaining year for Alt-Hero.

Good job.

An original A★H backer here. I waited until Christmas and then binge-read all the available issues. These are the first comic books I've read since I was in middle school. Outside of comic strips like Dilbert ort Calvin and Hobbes or panels like Far Side, the only similar medium would be children's stories.

It's definitely an art akin to short story telling. The narrative is tight to say the least.

While doing some research I came across Amazon's Comixology I downloaded a few free comics and turned on GV (Guided View) and found the experience much more immersive.

I also noticed that one of the free manga (One Punch Man) stated it doesn't use GV specifically because it interrupts the natural page flow. So, it's not for everyone.

I

Uggg.. .. Android please :/

Anyway, sorry if there's a mess ending above.

To wrap up the point I was trying to get to.

1) Would it be worth submitting A★H to Comixology in GV?

2) I searched for Chuck Dixon on the author list and his name didn't come up. I wondered why that was the case.

For the seasoned comics book reader maybe GV isn't their cup of tea. But maybe? For a novice, it was like watching a mini movie in a way. I was struck with the idea that GV is training wheels for your eyes, if you're not accustomed to the natural comic flow.

Alt Hero was submitted to ComiXology. I believe they would only accept physical copies...that's right, a DIGITAL comics service required physical submissions. Also, I far as I know they never responded.

David Steinberger, the co-founder and CEO of comiXology, is a permanent fixture in the Bleeding Cool Top 100 power list every year. I cannot find the exact write-up from one of those particular power lists, but upon reading it, I immediately realized Steinberger would never publish Alt Hero on comiXology. From that point forward comiXology was dead to me.

Gonna buy the Amazon ed. from now on. Just don't want to deal with the Castalia e-hack.

But if you give us a tasty hard-copy, I'll be there.

Good way to start the new year.

If you trust Amazon to not de-platform any or all purchases in your library, and disappear them on you, I don't know what to tell you.

In this environment, I would put up with an "e-hack" direct from Castalia -- at least I know they won't erase the files they sold me.

@9 I'm reading the e-versions on a Kindle Fire, so yeah. I'm ALL either way.

That's why I buy the paper copies.
