NFC Wildcard weekend

I will, of course, be cheering for the Vikings. That doesn't mean I expect them to win. In the other game, I don't expect Seattle to have too much trouble with the Eagles.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Good luck to your Vikings, Vox. Even thought I've been a lifelong Packers fan and we're supposed to be "enemies", I detest Da Bears far more, and have always had a soft spot where the Vikings are concerned. I think it's because I love the sound of the "Skol!!" shouts; that, and I have several good Vikings friends. Best of luck today!

Blogger TRS January 05, 2020 1:12 PM

just watching and waiting to see whom my Packers play next week.
My predictions: Saints at GB in the elements next week....
Seattle wins at Philly and re-match next week vs SF

Blogger Daniel January 05, 2020 1:17 PM

Zimmer is not creative, not adaptive and can't operate without a rock star running back. Vikings have the weapons to win, but not the brains. If Dallas hadn't been stupid enough to jettison the uniquely mentally independent Dan Bailey, our kicking would still be a jittery mess. Zim can't lead kicker mindsets.

Blogger bodenlose Schweinerei January 05, 2020 1:33 PM

In other sports news, Minnehaha Academy defeated Lebron Jr. and Dwyane the Lesser's Sierra Canyon squad 78-58.

Blogger Don January 05, 2020 1:37 PM

Eagz lost the best guard in the league to injury and rt Johnson is out too. If we can’t run the ball we are done.

Somehow if we gut out the win we get Jackson and Johnson back next week. We could make a run!

Our defense is improved so I expect the game to be closer than what many would think!

Blogger Daniel January 05, 2020 1:38 PM

Oh, and for whatever reason, Zim allows the offense to waste plays on gimmicks when they are otherwise executing the basics in rhythm.

Blogger Colonel Blimp January 05, 2020 1:43 PM

My Saints can be had but nothing Zimmer or Cousins do scares me. I think Saints pull away late 27 20

Blogger Nate January 05, 2020 1:56 PM

I'll take the beagles as well. Seattle has to many issues.

Blogger Clay January 05, 2020 2:05 PM

OK, I deleted my first comment after I realized I had spelled Geaux wrong. It's hard to misspell a coon-ass word. I mean, I'm from Mississippi, for God's sake!

Seriously, some of my best friends in this world are from LA.

I think the Saints are pacing themselves. They'll win.

Man, have I got a huge craving to grab a couple of double-meat muffulettas from Central Grocery, on Decatur St.

Blogger Daniel January 05, 2020 2:14 PM

You leave Cook on the sidelines starting at 1st and the three. Smh

Blogger Daniel January 05, 2020 2:17 PM

...and they send him on a sideline run to take the saints "off guard."

Blogger Daniel January 05, 2020 2:33 PM

The Saints are looking like they did against Atlanta. Very unlike themselves. Good for the Vikings.

Blogger David The Good January 05, 2020 2:34 PM

Go Miami!

Blogger Dr. J January 05, 2020 2:36 PM

Can it be - did the Vikes actually show up to play today? Lucky to be up three after that kickoff return debacle. SKOL!

Blogger JAG January 05, 2020 2:52 PM

The Viking defense is controlling this game so far. That jet sweep got blown up spectacularly.

Blogger Mr.MantraMan January 05, 2020 3:00 PM

Diggs melting down, put fork into Vikes

Blogger Hammerli 280 January 05, 2020 3:36 PM

In any event, you're seeing what Kirk Cousins can do when he's playing behind an NFL-grade offensive line. Instead of the O-line of the DC Perpetual Losers. AKA a sieve.

Blogger van helsing January 05, 2020 3:50 PM

jenkins has diggs under control. but the vikes may well cover, so there's that.

Blogger JAG January 05, 2020 3:52 PM

Heck of a play by Hunter with the strip sack. That may have saved the game as Hill had turned into the Incredible Hulk for New Orleans.

Blogger Daniel January 05, 2020 4:13 PM

This game is great. Thank goodness NO has played AND coached out of character. We will see who shows up in OT.

Blogger Dave January 05, 2020 4:16 PM

let's go OT! could delay the start of iggles game though

Blogger Shane Bradman January 05, 2020 4:18 PM

I was rooting for the Saints but it's such a tight game that whoever wins deserves the spot and I won't be disappointed.

Blogger JAG January 05, 2020 4:24 PM

That was a great game. Congratulations to the Vikings.

Blogger upchuckmcduck January 05, 2020 4:25 PM

Vikings just had to needlessly raise my cortisol levels again. But a win is a win. Go Vikes!

Blogger Hammerli 280 January 05, 2020 4:25 PM

Message to Dan Snyder - THIS could have been the Redskins. Time to sell the team, let them win again.

Blogger Shane Bradman January 05, 2020 4:25 PM

God Bless the Vikings

Blogger Talios Hammerfist January 05, 2020 4:26 PM

That was the best game of the playoffs so far, and we're only three games in!

Blogger Iron Spartan January 05, 2020 4:26 PM

Even sweeter as every one of the pregame shows wrote the Vikings off before the game started

Blogger Jill in StL January 05, 2020 4:26 PM

SKOL!! Vikings win - congrats to the team and to Vox! Good luck next game! Now, let's go Pack next weekend!!!

Blogger Mr.MantraMan January 05, 2020 4:27 PM

Thank the Lord I'm not a sports betting type, even if Rudolph pushed off, and NO gets burned two years in a row.

Blogger Sterling Pilgrim January 05, 2020 4:27 PM

Well I guess my old coach was right, if you ain’t cheatin you ain’t trying.
Saints secondary loses it again, but shouldn’t have been close.

Blogger tublecane January 05, 2020 4:27 PM

It's difficult to see Sean Payton on sidelines. Why is he still in the league?

Blogger Manuel January 05, 2020 4:30 PM

On the last drive before OT Payton was playing for the FG rather than winning via TD. And now the Aints are on vacation

Blogger Lazarus January 05, 2020 4:32 PM

Who Dat?

Blogger Ska_Boss January 05, 2020 4:43 PM

Good season for the underdogs, here's hoping the Eagles win.

Blogger MagisterLudi January 05, 2020 4:46 PM

'You like that?!'

Blogger Stilicho January 05, 2020 4:48 PM

I'm 0 for 3 for playoff predictions so far.

Blogger Jabari January 05, 2020 4:58 PM

Well that was a fun game, very dramatic!

(That was definitely OPI *laugh* - surprised that they didn't even bother to look at it at all.)

Blogger tdcommenter January 05, 2020 5:01 PM

Kirk Cousins won a playoff game? In overtime? That's going to frost some people in DC big-time. Lots of people there wanted him gone, supposedly because he couldn't win big games, but really it had more to do with him being kind of a square white dude who took the job from RG3.

Blogger Silent Draco January 05, 2020 5:56 PM

An Award-Winning Cruelty Artist would pay the royalties, and switch tonight's music to Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling". Multiple cruelty layers to marvel at.

Blogger Lazarus January 05, 2020 6:22 PM

Talking heads say it should have been offensive interference. This will feed the victim narrative.

Blogger SciVo January 05, 2020 6:38 PM

The Vikings-Saints game was awesome, with their #7 and his amazing athleticism pushing it into overtime, but the Vikings overcame and IMO deserved the win.

Blogger JAG January 05, 2020 6:40 PM

The Cowboys finally fired Jason Garrett today. Now they might get a shot to be a normal team again.

Tips for Jerry on the next coaching hire:

1) If the guy has no coaching experience at all don't hire him.

2) If the guy has less than 5 years total coaching experience don't hire him.

3) If the guy has an 0-16 on his record of coaching don't hire him.

4) If the guy averaged 6-10 as a head coach elsewhere don't hire him.

5) If the guy produced the worst defense in the history of his previous team don't hire him.

Jerry has violated all of these during the Garrett era. It's time to simply paint by the numbers, and stop wildcatting. Could also stop taking flyers on draft picks that get passed over due to injury or character issues while we're at it.

My personal hope is Urban Meyer, but most coaches are an upgrade over the learning on the job decade we just went through.

Blogger Gettimothy January 05, 2020 6:46 PM

congrats to the Vikings for beating the aints.

Blogger OS2Tech January 05, 2020 7:37 PM

No joy in NOLA tonight, the Saints fall to the Vikings. Saints were playing more like they did against Atlanta right off the bye week rather than the way they played most of the rest of the season. 5-2 in the Dome in post-season competition now; gots to hope for next year. Still a die-hard Saints fan; was even back in the days of the REAL "sAins," when we put Schwegman's bags over our heads.

Blogger sappbe January 05, 2020 7:47 PM

Not losing sleep over it, but what was wrong with my post? Not sure if I can be emailed regarding but that is cool by my if so. Thanks.

Blogger Mad Italian January 05, 2020 8:13 PM

Looking forward to the Vikings - Niners game. Not the match up I expected, but my prognostication skills are weak.

Blogger Jack Amok January 05, 2020 8:23 PM

Seahawks always have trouble with everyone, whether they should or not.

But they used to know how to tackle. They really don't any more.

Blogger Lazarus January 05, 2020 10:04 PM

I find Wildcard Weekend to be the most interesting games preceding the BIG GAME.

Blogger Sambuca_Ford January 05, 2020 10:24 PM

Couldn't help but smile at the Cousins to Theilen to Rudolph closeout. Saints fans can get an early start on shitting in the superdome and new year homicide.

Mike McCarthy is likely going to Dallas barring something bizarre.

Gruden's second act in Oakland remains iffy. Where have you gone, Rich Gannon?

Blogger Unknown January 05, 2020 11:15 PM

Congratulations Vox!!! Yeah Vikings :))

Blogger CostelloM January 06, 2020 1:25 AM

I really wish the NFL would endorse an official "Toilet Bowl" game and pit the Washington Redskins against the Cincinnati Bengals. The loser would have to display an oversized Toilet in their locker room for the entire next season. Instead of fighting for some trophy you're fighting not to be the worst. This idea *would* make money and I believe teams would fight hard not to be the worst of the worst.

Blogger KPKinSunnyPhiladelphia January 06, 2020 11:57 AM

The Vikings could make a serious run. Why?

Their defense is really really good.

You would think a team that lost to the Bears would be shit, but think about it. The Bears had a great defense as well, and so a low scoring game could turn on a play or two, and so it was with the Bears, and so it was with the Saints.

The Vikings consistently keep teams the low 20s and teens, with a few exceptions (and some of those games they have won). They can beat SF and Seattle, should it come to Seattle. They lost twice to the Packers, so that will clearly be their toughest test should they get that be the final match up before the Super Bowl.

While the Ravens on the other side of the draw seem to be as close to a lock as possible, the NFC is up for grabs. The Vikings could conceivably grab it.

Hello friends,
I'm a little ashamed to tell such a story. But I would like to share with you a great resource. I've had problems since my sexual organ was too small. I've been worried about this and tried to rectify the situation by means of pumps and tablets. Because of the tablets, which I ordered, I had complications and I was in the hospital for some time after that I gave up trying to increase my penis. But once I found Dr adam herbal cream. My first result was: plus 3 centimeters after 2weeks of usage. If you want to know more details and how you can enlarge your penis bigger, I recommend you to contact Dr adam today, email address or add him on whatsapp line +2348151731392.
