The god-emperor is invincible

Even CNN is throwing in the towel. Van Jones is without hope:
As a progressive, to see those two [Warren and Sanders] have that level of vitriol was very dispiriting. And I want to say that tonight for me was dispiriting. Democrats got to do better than what we saw tonight. There was nothing I saw tonight that would be able to take Donald Trump out, and I want to see a Democrat in the White House as soon as possible.
It doesn't matter who the Wall Street-Devil Mouse-Hollywood-Academia alliance line up behind. Trumpslide 2020 is in the cards and on the way.

Just received my Trump 2020 ceramic Christmas ornament yesterday from Amazon.

Why, with all this strength, does he continue to do things like insist we need more foreign workers? If it were any other Republican, the flip flop would be expected and I wouldn't even care. Did he actually change his mind?

Blogger tuberman January 15, 2020 10:36 AM

The whole Warren and Sanders promises to get intense, and especially from the Sanders side. Some 4D chess in the background, probably not, the DIMs don't need help for self-destruction.

This will get funny.

I just can't wait to see Trump win the popular vote, so I can watch all the blue states that passed those "popular vote" compacts for their electoral college votes scramble to reverse those laws.

Hilarious if Hillary thought the fix was in for her in a brokered convention, only to have it "stolen" from her by Michelle.

As an aside, I've heard some of the audio that Project Veritas retrieved from some of the nutjobs in the Sanders campaign.
A sadistic part of me hopes that the nutjob is correct and that "cities burn" if Trump is reelected.

Please nominate Bernie and please go full Socialist on the campaign trail. I cannot wait to hear / see the socialists and revolutionaries within the Media step out of the closet and say: "Yeah, I'm for eating the rich - well, those other rich. I'm one of the good ones. I know the Revolutionaries won't come for me, they've told me I'm safe."

My guess is that the GOP Senate and the donor class are using the impeachment debacle as leverage to twist Trump's arm on H1Bs, and on Middle East policy as well re: Iran.

Blogger Balkan Yankee January 15, 2020 11:46 AM

An old Russian Proverb says, "hope dies last." Except in Van Jones' case: His hope died on national TV last night. In mid-January. With less than ten months till election day.

A web search on 'Jerusalem Boys Choir Super Trump' may provide a moment's amusement though it can be seen in a few different ways.

It's in the Mizrahi musical style although my roommate said it sounded like the opening to a fighting anime but in Hebrew-English instead of Japanese-English.

This would make sense. But I wish he would at least hint at it, if it is indeed the case. It's always frustrating to see him using his persuasion skills counter to the truth. The recent interview where Laura Ingraham grilled him on it was demoralizing because he effectively makes you believe he believes it.

If this is a temporary concession to the Chamber of Commerce, to wean them off their H1B addiction, no problem. I do wish Trump would say ``We need them a little longer,'' rather than ``We need them.'' His methods have been working so well, we should cut him a little slack.

A party that intentionally divides its base against itself with the "diversity" lever is a party that does not rule long - everyone can't be a special group - the list of grievances and offenses is never ending.

I believe the most the Dimocrats are hoping for from Impeachment is that Mitch the Bitch will not allow any evidence that is damaging to members of Congress because it could damage him.

They will fail to impeach and the Dimocrats can claim that The GE was not exonerated!

American cities are remarkably flammable, especially when a certain segment of their population get agitated, but I doubt that group gets too worked up over elections. What would be funny to witness is thousands of angry cat ladies accidentally lighting themselves on fire while trying to "burn down the patriarchy!".

That does look like the best outcome they can hope for. If the Senate does have a trial and does call Trump's witnesses, the Dems - and a whole lot of ``moderate'' GOPers - are screwed.

Watched Razorfist do commentary on one of the debates. Even the most progressive will need to hold their nose to vote for most of them, if they retain a lick of sanity. Focahontas appears to have some trending amongst them, but wouldn't last a debate against Trump.

"A sadistic part of me hopes that the nutjob is correct and that "cities burn" if Trump is reelected."

Sounds like there might be an active conpiracy to commit sedition:

18 U.S. Code § 2384. Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, § 1, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

I honestly don't know; there's a lot that indicates that Trump has little interest in cutting off H1Bs, much less ordering the prosecution of the rampant fraud… OTOH, there are several procedural/administrative things he's done that has impacted things toward making it a bit more difficult to obtain H1B visas, but it's a frustratingly small 'trickle' compared to the 'rushing river' [of reform & justice] that we need.

The biggest problem with "a temporary concession to the Chamber of Commerce" is that "there's nothing more permanent than a temporary solution".

Azimus wrote:A party that intentionally divides its base against itself with the "diversity" lever is a party that does not rule long - everyone can't be a special group - the list of grievances and offenses is never ending.
I find myself wishing that "Citizen" was a "special enough" group to warrant consideration.

Interesting clause there; it contains a world of possibilities… especially if you were to, say, aggressively enforce immigration law and consider the knee-jerk responses to said enforcement.

A lot of Bernie Bros voted for Trump as revenge against Hillary's rigging the primaries.

If Bernie ran as a 3rd candidate, would they vote Strategically, and therefore for Trump to absolutely ensure that the Dems lose again, or would they immaturely go "protest vote" for Bernie?

Mind you, there's times for protest voting, and for them, the difference between a Trump and the selected D might be too small to make a difference.

We need to keep Bernie Bros in the fold, if only to make it a landslide in both Electoral Votes AND Popular Votes.

This will give Trump the free hand he needs, if, say, the Swamp Cabal decides to try going kinetic.

Roboerts 2 adopted, blonde, blue-eyed children from latin America are actually little Irish children trafficked out of Ireland as infants for an illegal adoption. That, or their mother's were trafficked to Argentina to give birth and circumvent irish adoption law. The theory is he needed an instant family to cover his homosexual preferences. I think 2016 saw a lot more conservatives that stayed home or went 3rd party than Bernie bros crossing over. A lot of conservatives didn't trust Trump. But he has proven himself to be both ideologically sound and politically effective, and all but the most self-deluded never-Trumpers see it.

Don't worry about whether we keep the Bernie xirs - Trump attracts blue collar Dems that like having jobs.

Besides, look at Trump's numbers along the black community. High 30's approval rating. I'm sure they won't all turn into votes in the general, but if a third of them do, we'll be in landslide mode. If half, we're looking at a 48-state blowout.

Blogger Akulkis January 16, 2020 2:08 PM

McConnell should drag out the impeachment trial for weeks on end. Say, 1 hour/day, so that each new revelation of the Obama/Hillary and Deep State skulduggery can be individually chewed on, mulled over and digested by the public, until Sanders, Warren, and all of their proponents are screaming for Nancy Pelosi's head on a pike.
