It's a little late for that

The empire's ruling tribe is beginning to discover that while it's one thing to take the reins of the empire from the people who built it, it's another thing to run it successfully:
Goldman is well positioned to explain what China is about and what the US and even the world should do. A columnist at the Asia Times and a former senior executive of a Hong Kong investment bank, he has traveled extensively throughout China for two decades and negotiated directly with top Chinese industry leaders. He has also written extensively on Jewish topics for a variety of scholarly and general Jewish publications. His Jewish background has been central to his approach. Goldman argues that to understand China, one has both to look at how it operates today and to examine the long-standing cultural patterns of a proud and distinct 5,000-year-old civilization.

Goldman explains that most Americans are simply wrong about China. The typical analogies whether on the left or the right are way off base. China does not have the aspirations of the Soviet Union; China does not want to militarily conquer the West, nor does it want to integrate in the existing world order. It could care less how others see the world. Nor is the Chinese economy dangerously over-leveraged. China is more stable than ever. Finally, he argues the Thucydides model — that as an emerging power China seeks to challenge the US — is not even relevant.

Instead, Goldman argues that the Chinese are an ancient imperial civilization who expect to rule under a mandate from heaven and have the confidence to do so. Moreover, as in the past, they prefer soft power that gives them maximum control to a military showdown that might bring chaos. For the Chinese, the ends justify the means.

Currently, China is implementing a concerted plan to control key industries and information to ensure world domination. As Goldman shows, it is working: most of the world has adopted the Huawei technology for 5G and Chinese signal encryption will soon eclipse that of the US. Soon the world will be totally reliant on Chinese technology and will knowingly or unknowingly share its data with the Chinese government. No Chinese Edward Snowden is likely to survive to warn us. With such power, China will dictate the terms of trade and interaction. Already the basic outlines of the existing China-US trade deal signal China’s dominance: the US buys Chinese technology and other manufactured goods and China buys meat and other agricultural goods from the US. These are the terms imperial powers dictate to their colonies.

Goldman outlines a plan for the US to maintain its world position. He insists that the US absolutely cannot leave it to the private sector. It must develop a government policy to massively support R&D at the industry and university levels. Measures will require huge investments and an overhaul of the American education system to drastically improve educational levels, and most of all, to quadruple the number of American graduates in the sciences and technology. Without these two steps, we will be under China’s yoke within the decade.
The amusing thing about this is that Spengler - as Goldman was known for years before he went public - was completely wrong about China and its intentions for years. This sudden and very belated concern for the US maintaining its world position is the result of the failure of the post-imperial collapse jump-to-China plan.

As I pointed out several years ago, the judeochristians' assumption of their intellectual superiority was fundamentally based on their being a low-trust, high-performance group amidst a high-trust, high-performance population. Now that they are running into conflict with their first conflict with a low-trust, high-performance group since the Maccabean wars, they are discovering that they are at a significant disadvantage.

I expect the Judeo-Sinese conflict to go pretty much the same way the Judeo-Roman wars did. And the article raises the obvious question: to precisely whom does the author mean when he writes "we will be under China's yoke within the decade"?

So after inflicting millions of low-IQ, cheap labor furriners upon us, now the brilliant plan is to reverse course with massive "government investment" and an "overhaul" of the anti-American indoctrination system they like so bad, apparently all within less than a decade, to save the temple from being turned into a pagoda.

If it included ditching all the diversity and saying "Bollix to you with brass knobs on!" to social justice, it might be worth it. But since it won't, it can't.

The Globalist Elite in the West are learning late, that the Chinese are past masters at what they thought was their game.

If the Globalists were wise, they would push the USA back to a kind of socio-political 1950's. But I suspect they are too corrupted by their perversions to do so.

Let me make sure I get this. He wants to undo the destruction of the education system that his people have been working on for the past 60 years. Which means undoing the diversity system and reinstating a merit based system and letting the chips fall where they may. He also wants to accomplish this in a decade? While some how avoiding the massive social unrest that would result from moving away from a diversity first agenda, that would be fomented by the numerous discivic organizations that his people created? All while convincing even half of his tribe to STOP subverting American society because it is their last hope?

If he sees this all coming, and is as smart as he wants us to believe, making aliyah is the better option.

The Chinese elite is sane and self interested is apparently a difficult concept for progs to grasp. He still is infected by prog nonsense though:

"Already the basic outlines of the existing China-US trade deal signal China’s dominance: the US buys Chinese technology and other manufactured goods and China buys meat and other agricultural goods from the US. These are the terms imperial powers dictate to their colonies."

China buys raw materials from the US because the US is one of the world's leaders in their production. We shipped grain to the USSR as well; it hardly means the US was a Soviet colony. But you know, rural work bad for bugmen.

"He insists that the US absolutely cannot leave it to the private sector. It must develop a government policy to massively support R&D at the industry and university levels."

We need to loot the economy in order to save the economy! Progs can't help themselves- even if they are drowning they just double down.

More federal involvement in education?

Moar women in STEM?

The reason we're here, Mr. Goldman, is that those policies have brought us here. It was US government policy, indeed across the entire west, to invest in China and build its industries. David Rockefeller, the Tri-Lateral Commission, globalism.

Private industry has had a negative influence because it chases profits, and it is guided by government incentives and tax advantages designed by governments.

Private industry is glad to build at home if it were possible to do so, unfortunately government regulations, diversity requirements, high taxes, and your cousins suing every successful business alive because they have money to shut the lawyers up (briefly), have collectively made it very difficult.

The only US government intervention required, is national security directives forbidding business in China, followed by de-regulating and repealing all the garbage laws, followed by chasing the real (((problem))) out entirely.

"Goldman is well positioned to explain what China is about and what the US and even the world should do."

Ahh, but the thing they depend on is us not asking the question who's interest would these actions be taken. This columnist is all about mixed signals and partial truths. From the clips I've seen of Biden even early in the day canned platitudes look like they are starting to be beyond him. More likely he spoke with the fellow ethnics who are Bidens handlers and was nonplussed at the fact they still thought anyone was buying their meatpuppet act and they may not have disclosed alternative plans for a different meatpuppet.

Strange that Goldman and company don't push the GloHo agenda upon China, we cannot escape the constant barrage of propaganda but the Chinese never face an iota. And all those Chinese students in this country and the various other Chinese grifters are never given a show trial to see if they are "sexist, racist and homophobic"

Be a damn shame if the Chinese were given that show trial and they just shrugged and said, "so what" that would be bad, oh so bad to not perform the routine when commanded with the magik words.

> Instead, Goldman argues that the Chinese are an ancient imperial civilization who expect to rule under a mandate from heaven and have the confidence to do so.

A lovely concept, but it has nothing to do with the current Chinese leadership. They simply follow Mao's principle: "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." They may hope the populace still believes in the "mandate of heaven", but they no longer do so.

> Moreover, as in the past, they prefer soft power that gives them maximum control to a military showdown that might bring chaos.

Of course they do. But as with all things the final decision comes down to "Can we win?" If they think they can defeat the US in a military conflict, they'll do so.

> If he sees this all coming, and is as smart as he wants us to believe, making aliyah is the better option.

Only if he thinks Israel can survive without U.S. backing.

> "Already the basic outlines of the existing China-US trade deal signal China’s dominance: the US buys Chinese technology and other manufactured goods and China buys meat and other agricultural goods from the US. These are the terms imperial powers dictate to their colonies."

Agreed, this is BS. No successful empire makes their food supply dependent on a potentially hostile people.

Blogger borsabil July 17, 2020 7:34 AM

He massively over estimates the importance of technology and like most Jews views primary industry with disdain. The Soviet Union didn't collapse due to the lack of flat screen TVs and iPhones.

China's great strength is it's largely homogeneous, high IQ population and stable government. China's great weakness is it's dependence on foreign trade for food and raw materials. If (((they))) would leave Trump to get on with leveraging America's advantage in primary production the Jews would have a decade more of civilized life before it all collapses. Of course they won't, they just can't help themselves.

Not particilalry reassuring, but sounds familiar. Of course, neither group has any concept of honor as understood in thw West. Only tribal loyalty. Having escaped consequences for their dishonorable behavior for so long, both groups are completely surprised and unprepared for actual resistance. You can see it play out daily in China's clumsy efforts to insert Huawei everywhere and even clumsier efforts to deflect responsibility for the Chinese coronavirus they spilled and spread.

You also see it in the Tribe's ham-handed efforts to squelch any criticism via the ADL and SLPC (among others). It doesn"t work forever or in the face of actual opposition, in fact it becomes counter-productive. Thankfully, they are blind to it.

I know people here don't like 'yes but'.

However, while the Jewish center is around Southfield (and Oak Park for the Chabad variety), the Jewish regional law and accounting firms are still in Downtown. I could see a Rabbi down there for meetings who stayed too late. The 'Greektown' block grafted on Downtown has a casino and a bunch of trendy bars that switch branding and go 99% urban at 10pm.

I don't know how much longer the firms will stay down there given that people can provably work from home now and Southfield is taking a huge bath on occupancy rates the last 7 years (and how cheap a square foot is there now). Add in City of Detroit's extra 1.5% income tax...

Yeah, I got a kick out of that part too. We're trading food for beads, basically. They're very, very nice beads, useful even. I'm sure the American Indians who traded land for beads thought they were getting a good deal too, and those beads probably upped their status in their tribes just like the latest iPhone does now. But I think I'd rather be the one producing the food, if I had to choose between the two. Not surprised a "rootless cosmopolitan" sees it the other way. Food just happens, for them.

They are not high IQ. At best, they average about 105 and I suspect you will eventually see a selection bias in test takers as well as the same obfuscations as from the jews to artificially inflate that number. The homogenous population and culture is more important. The IQ advantage the Chinese do have is the large numbers on the right side of the bell curve due to a very large population.

Sorry don't believe it is a forgone conclusion that China wins. I mean stealing other peoples' technology only goes so far, at some point they have to actually make some of their own cutting edge technology, otherwise they will find themselves quickly replaced by a new technological power. Plus, their big advantage in labor will eventually be lost due to technology anyway. I may be talking out the other side of my mouth, not unheard of, but my understanding is that Chinese writing (Sinography) is a limitation on higher science thinking due to the limitations of medium.

I was trying to become a scientist at the time, and as far as I can tell, that campaign to drive down the cost of STEM labor originated from the National Science Foundation in the late 1980s, and note there was already a major surplus in biology by 1980. Fast forward, and after reading trilogy ending in The Culture of Critique, I note that its 1984-1990 director was one Erich Bloch, a very controversial pick because he wasn't a scientist, didn't even have a Ph.D. He was an electrical engineer who became an IBM manager, was the engineering manager of the disastrous STRETCH project, but then helped birth the System/360, Wikipedia says in the very clever and right for its time Solid Logic Technology it was built with.

Indeed. Migration from countries such as India, Pakistan, and China have done much to suppress wages. Democrats want immigrants for votes; Republicans want them for cheaper labor.

“Goldman outlines a plan for the US to maintain its world position.”

What a retard. Close the door. Stay out of the world (produce for domestic consumption, don’t import people or stuff). And, they have to go back. The rest sorts itself out.

And, no surprise, what Goldman proposes is the exact opposite. Added to the pile of getting wrongs. The predictions of changes and society should have enough emotional material to begin weaving into a net that dialectic/rhetoric were unable to present in the past. To bring people back to their natural inclination to consideration, rather than the artificial and unnatural one they have fallen prey to for so long. For the high trust/high performance to reject the low trust/high performance, through a natural baseline reinvigorated. Music, meter, and imagery. The now, with glimpses of the was, not for dialectic, but to stir the primal nature of distinction. To dispel the lie of the importance of position among a population of merit. (position, being distinct from natural hierarchy)

China is a Bottom Up Nationalist country, meaning the common Chinese is even more Nationalist than the leadership, and also meaning the leadership had no choice but to go in Nationalistic directions even given the CCP.

The fact that Goldman and his (((ilk))) were so blind to the above facts, says much about Goldman's other projections. Quoting Biden in 2019, "...that Trump’s China policies had failed." Who quotes Biden for solid projections during 2019?? Fools!

Trump's China policies had barely got off the ground by 2019. In spite of China's so-called 'soft colonialism' many countries have noticed their aggression.

Look at maps of the pathways China's ships needs to go through to reach Africa and the Middle East oil supplies, and you will see there are narrow channels though which all Chinese shipping has to go through, and these can be stopped up easily. Going across the Pacific to the Panama Canal has other problems. These 'choke points' will at the very least cause China to slow down their current navy and financial aggression.

Yet, can Chinese leadership slow down their aggression, remembering that the Chinese are Bottom Up Nationalist and expect to be the center of the world. This isn't a myth, as the the Chinese were the peak civilization for 4000 years. Goldman relating that to past myths is another a half-truth fantasy of his ilk. The fact that all civilizations have roots in myth, doesn't take away from the truth.

But here we have another current Chinese weakness for Xi and the CCP, as they've projected a steady march forward back to Chinese as the lead civilization. Xi is afraid of the the Chinese masses, and knows he has to 'perform as expected, and as advertised.'

Given the 25 year deal China just made with Iran the days of Israel being a big fish in a little pond throwing it's weight around are numbered.

I seriously doubt the Chinese, once well established in Iran, would deal with Israeli airstrikes on Iran the way Russia has handled Israeli airstrikes on Syria.

Like the author says, ". . . a military showdown that might bring chaos.". I'm just pretty sure the author and I have different opinions on what military showdown is most likely.

The old game of 'Let's you and him fight' won't work while the US is tearing itself apart as it surely will be no matter what the result of the 2020 Presidential election.

Amusing to consider what actions China would take in similar circumstances. They would smite hip and thigh, jailing every dissident, deporting wholesale, ban faulty educational systems and have high profile show trials for educators.

>>Imagine thinking we can have a first rate education system while allowing black children do whatever the hell they want in classrooms with no consequences.

I think they would also abandon millions to their fate and salvage what remains through forced rearrangement of where the students go, placing expectations on the salvaged that must be met or they join the damned, then depress the reproduction of the abandoned through 'full employment'. Idle hands, don't you know.

Shipping lanes that go right past India, a large, nuclear power the Chinese are in a low-grade shooting war with already. India has it's problems, but I'm willing to bet they could cut off China's oil supply long enough to collapse the Chinese government. There'd be an awful lot of dead in that war, but China wouldn't win.

Then they rely on sheer numbers of their ants to overcome superior technology and superior individuals (although the latter is being further degraded daily by china's allies in the US).

The Japanese will ha ve to build a nuclear arsenal and make it clear to china that they will use it.

Vietnam will likely remain in a strong defensive position against the hated chinese.

Australia will surrender.

The Philipines will be a mixed bag but will likely end up as an economic vassal state of china.

Taiwan will have to make alliances with neighbors and be prepared to defend itself. There is nothing commies hate worse than a kulak that escaped.

India will have to ally itself with the west, especially in light of chinese alliance with iran and pakistan.

Israel will deepen its ties with sunni arab states and it will become a de facto if not de jure alliance against sino-persian expansion. Russia will be a bit of a wild card given its support for and ties with both syria and iran.

Turkey will continue to play all sides until events force it into one camp or the other.

Europe will fracture as various countries and blocks choose sides or try to play all sides. The EU is dead.

Pretty close. Two classes (appearing as factions), one having tried to short circuit the other in the course of natural events, and the same trying to co-opt the following times and direction. Take a recurring cycle, and the desire to insert and replace the natural occurrence within one of the cycles, with imposters, while trying to make the genuine unpalatable. In this case, nationalism the vehicle of propulsion, and WW II orchestrated to remove the influence of nationalism of an emergent leadership. The bad attempt to invert the natural occurrence, in a failed bid to eddy competition. Trump was the CivNat ace in the hole, but it hasn’t turned out that way. Rather than eddy, there is divergent, a paradigm shift. The cycles won’t save them.

improve educational levels, and most of all, to quadruple the number of American graduates in the sciences and technology.

The STEM shortage is a myth. Some journalist over at Forbes exploded this myth in a series of articles. The gist of it was we have an oversupply of STEM grads right now. Second point: I talked to a lot of U California students and many wanted to study engineering and computers but were unable to get space in programs that won't expand. Instead they are shunted into liberal arts programs as their only option. Americans dont/cant study engineering is another myth created by artifical scarcity of engineering programs!

Just how do you think China will help Iran besides money, for which they will charge Iran usury rate (loan shark) rates? Have you even noticed the amount of "accidents" or explosions occurring in critical Iranian areas. These are not from air strikes from Israel, the USA, or others. The Iranian people despise the Iranian Theocracy, and other middle east countries (besides Israel) despise them too for their exporting terrorism to other Muslim countries.

The Chinese are just Jews on steroids (as concerning money), as their loans and usury is worse. Yet, they are not Satanist/Globalists, so better. But the Chinese make pacts with the Satanists as long as it helps them, therefore they are inverts.

The Chinese are taking advantage of the Iranian Theocracy and they won't be part of the Chinese dominance of the world, which is likely to happen, but with many more glitches and stops then people are aware of now. This is another 30-50 years in the future thing, not the next decade. The current Iran leadership will be long gone before Chinese dominance happens.

They've not be able to do either to build high performance jet engines even as good as Russian ones, let alone the Wests'. Maybe they can make ball bearings of the quality needed for ball point pens, but for now they find it better to import them by the tens of billions annually. The EUV lithography machines being successfully used by Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) (but not Pajeet infiltrated Intel) are extremely difficult to design, manufacture, and I suspect run and service. Lead by Dutch company ASML, and using "American" lasers for example, the PRC is now embargoed from buying them. That's not exactly fatal for fabricating what they really need, but I'm not betting on the Mainlanders being able to duplicate them any time soon.

The CCP has also really screwed up their science system by requiring researchers to publish papers on a certain schedule, and a huge fraction of them are bogus in one way or another, with the rest of the world learning to ignore papers in various important categories, like protein structures. Again, they can get by with the open literature of the West, and what they routinely steal, but they're still going to be lacking some things that may become critical.

I wonder how that will be possible.

Easy: make schools and employers stop rejecting smart white kids like your son in favor of everyone else, by cutting off their cheaper alternatives. There *is* a shortage of native, smart, qualified people. That's no joke. I know people who are trying to hire programmers and network engineers, and it's hard for them to find someone qualified enough to get to the salary discussion. It's a shortage that was caused intentionally by filling up the colleges with foreigners and affirmative action picks, but it still exists. If employers knew guest workers weren't an option, they might get down to the high schools to do some vocational testing and set up their own training programs.

Any kid who got a 32 on his ACT should be able to take a crash course and learn a programming language well enough in six months to earn a decent living, and go up from there. When I graduated in 1987 with a 33, I wasn't worried about whether I could get into college or get a job; I wondered which opportunity to take. That the same kid can't do that *easily* today, with tech fields having expanded as they have, shows how screwed up the system is.

China's not going to destroy Israel, or get involved with Iran / Israeli intrigue, in any particular fashion such as we in the west do. They don't have our cultural baggage, our hangups. They already have a giant border with Russia, which is a major reason the west was in Iran in the first place.

Once enough pipelines get built (Shanghai Cooperation Organization), don't look for China to make any special Mideast moves at all. They won't care, as long as oil flows in somehow.

Ships hugging the coast past India won't be the forever solution, they don't even care about relations with their ancient neighbour. So much so that they're stirring up trouble in the Punjab and Kashmir. Does that sound like a country concerned with oil tanker routes?

China's future is written in their genetics - internally focused, geographically separated, and pushing towards another cycle of famine and the survival of the lean and mean.

China's not 'dependent' on foreign food - they rely on imported food simply to stave off their next internal collapse cycle.

The best policy on China is to ignore them, don't give them any technology or money, and leave them to their next hell. There's a reason that 19th century China resembled 11th century China.

As much as these self-obsessed cultures deserve each other, they'll be the farthest things from each other's awareness. Their only link is the west, and how much we have been giving them both.

But the bigger problem is that, even in this rural area, we just haven't been training smart American kids for that kind of work for the last couple decades, because it had been deemed work for foreigners and weird nerds who can't talk to people. We had this enormous tech boom creating entire new industries, and the smart kids were studying anything else.

Everyone's expectations have been screwed up by 30 years of globalist labor policies. Workers don't think the jobs are there, and employers don't think the workers are there, or don't know how to find them. And no one knows what the wages would be like if they hadn't been depressed all these years, so even an honest employer may be shooting too low.

One or the other. If you're looking for entry level, then drop the technical qualifications. If you're looking for technical qualifications, don't look for kids.
The Hindoos are willing to lie cheat and steal to get in and then fake it till they make it. The White kids are more likely to tell the truth, and are then immediately disqualified for not having the expertise demanded.
A college degree, for instance, is in no way necessary for an entry level coder. It's not engineering at that level. That's like expecting an machinists apprentice or entry-level welder degree.

"and most of all, to quadruple the number of American graduates in the sciences and technology"
I wonder how that will be possible. My son who had a 1450 SAT (math reading) and a 32 ACT was not accepted at the local state commuter university. He wanted to major in chemistry. He was White.

What was the reason for that, in your opinion?
State schools often prefer foreigners because they pay out of state tuition. Also, the profs are themselves foreigners.

As others have said the shortage of tech people has always been BS.

Decades ago I became familiar with the U of MN computer science dept admissions. I worked with some world class C embedded system programmers. They could not get admitted to the U of MN grad school while the school stated they admitted foreigners because no US citizens wanted to go. I do not know the quality of the foreigners.

I later learned that the profs needed to publish so they needed obedient grad students to work for free. They could intimidate foreigners more easily, even restricting the number of classes they could take so they took longer to graduate. They also did not like terminal MS students.

I was shocked at an email thread that went around "U of M sucks." They were hated, especially by their alumni. UW Madison alumni were never like that.

Trivia: Caltech does not have affirmative action and has 40% asians. I do not know the nationalities. I once did some doc review for a project and got to see the CVs etc for a biologics drug company. There were many foreign Asians with killer CVs. Many had PhDs in Chem Eng from world class US universities plus post docs and they were working in production or even QC positions. Since the technology was just this side of science fiction their CVs were not wasted.

The taxpayer supported state schools discriminate against taxpayers because they have their own agendas.

"SEE! WE advertised for a WHOLE YEAR for an engineer to move to Bumfuk, Idaho and NOBODY HERE wants the job!"

The actual office where the work will be done is in Chicago or some place like that.

It's an old scam with regard to gaming the H-1B application system -- a Philadelphia law firm actually said to use that strategy at a conference for tech companies looking to hire H-1Bs instead of American ... and for a while, the videos were actually on YouTube (before there was a HUGE backlash from the engineering and info tech community).

One other issue with asking STEM people to move to "a rural area" for a job is that the pool of companies employing them is by definition going to be tiny, so a move out of the area will almost certainly be required sooner or later. Later, because real raises as your value significantly increases with your experience, certainly that of a "kid's", are so rare to be practically unheard of.

I did a lot of Unix systems administration/systems engineering. In almost all cases, when something goes physically wrong with a machine, an admin/engineer having physical access to the machine can solve the problem in hours rather than the minimum 2 days it take to have a hardware contractor come out, diagnose the problem, order the necessary part to be delivered by FedEx, and then come back and install them.

Blogger ThatWouldBeTelling July 18, 2020 3:55 PM

Of course. But wherever you are, especially if you're in a rural area, there's a good chance it's not the best place to put your servers. So try to keep one or more remote people with sysadmin capabilities located within easy driving distance to your co-lo or co-los.

Of course, this is one of the many reasons a lot of startups begin in the cloud, deferring, if they're smart, these issues until they're big enough to make it worth wrangling their own hardware. See Infogalactic for example.

Does anyone have the article that talked about the tribe's "Pivot to China"? I've found the one where Goldman slams China, but not the article Vox mentioned where the Jewish Organized Community were meeting to discuss their China policy.

>The Cathedral (deep state media academia complex) literally cannot idoing this.

Just call them Zionists and their collaborators. (((Curtis Yarvin))) neglects his tribe's central role in The Cathedral and blames the doing of the Culture of Critique on Christianity and The Enlightenment. Our decline started when his people left the shtetl in the 20th century. Our decline didn't start when Rome became Christian 1,700 years ago or during The Enlightenment 400 years ago.

This is something I lay directly at the feet of the Boomers, especially the management class: when they got into their management positions they disregarded all the training they received, all the help that had been given them, and then imposed things like degree requirements for "entry level" supposing that somehow the education & knowledge provided by the [general] degree would be equivalent to the [specific] knowledge they'd received and therefore allow that training to be dropped. — And that is essentially how we got a corporate culture that is essentially actively hostile to training.

It's almost to the point where there's subconscious expectations that you can get everything you need from "reading the manual", despite that 'documentation' is something they've also decided to drop by the wayside because of 'costs', and then they call you a insolent little shit when you ask: "Where are the manuals?"

The agenda is not secret, but rather obvious when you conjoin it (and its effects) with H1B and its effects: namely, that it is a war on the Citizenry, particularly the middle-class, which they want to destroy, to reduce to poverty so that they may not in any ways resist.

Later, because real raises as your value significantly increases with your experience, certainly that of a "kid's", are so rare to be practically unheard of.

There's also the question of why these and so many other companies aren't willing to use remote workers, but that's multiple cans of worms.

The thing I'm always leery of is moving only to be "let go", perhaps on the last day of probation, or due to "culture fit" or some other BS reason — moving into a new area takes time, and resources, and there's so little loyalty from employer to employee that it makes a job offer inherently more risky.
