The dismay of the conservative

They can't believe that they've been written out of the catalog of "respectable persons":
On June 3, 2020, I was fired from my post as department chairman for publicly opposing and mocking the inherent terrorism of the Black Lives Matter movement. A doxxing-type petition arose against me early in the day; I was “canceled” before dinnertime.

Notably, unlike others who have faced similar forms of cancellation, I was not dismissed from a large secular state college or a public institution of secondary education, where capitulation to the mob is somewhat to be expected. This was a conservative, Catholic high school, whose theology department (which I chaired) rejects ab initio the ontological essentials of BLM . In other words, most of the recent firings by openly Marxist employers—such as the Regents of the University of California—boil down to nondescript “dog bites man” ledes. But my narrative falls far closer to “man bites dog,” given the antipathy with which Roman Catholic theology has typically regarded the Marxist neo-terrorism that postconciliar parochial schools are lately endorsing or condoning.

The high school at which I taught was also vaunted for fostering community. So one easily can imagine my surprise at the termination.... My firing is the perfect test case for measuring the profundity of conservative, Christian cowardice. It is, as the ghost of Marley tells Scrooge, “a ponderous chain.” Since I was the well-liked Catholic face of my former school—with a daughter whose continuing medical needs were well-known to everyone—my ruthless firing raises the question: just how frantic are Christians and conservatives to capitulate—and to telegraph their capitulation—to the new race-class-and-gender Marxists terrorizing American streets?
While his article is still rife with the stench of civnattery and "BLM R the Real Racists", there is a glimmer of hope that conservatives like him are beginning to wake up. For he also writes:
Further, American conservatives rarely, if ever, circle the wagons around the few champions of the West who are willing to fight. Envying the dauntless courage of such midnightly few, the cowards on the Right practically celebrate the downfall of the unaided resistors in their midst.
If you want to win, embrace your extremists and your warriors. You don't have to like them, you just have to materially support them. And, above all, you have to stop attacking them and start attacking the enemy that wants to kill you, kill your children, destroy your nation, and eliminate your faith. Enlightenment, equalitarianism, and ecumenicism are the three seductive evils that have been draining the good, the beautiful, and the true from the West for decades, and the conservatives are going to have to realize that they have to their addictions to all three.

Timothy J. Gordon lives in Central California with his wife and six children.

Within the conservative species, the California conservative is singularly useless. Often a Reagan worshiper and devout civnat and prone to a belief in fixing things through the ballot box, incrementally, if only those damn liberals would listen to reason!

In XVII century the today's Baltic states were the confederated provinces of the Polish-Lithuanian Republic. The local population was mostly German, protestand, hard working. The countryside fluorished in the contrast to Sweden or Denmark, runined by wars.
The tzar of Russia, Ivan the Terrible, started totally pointles propaganda campaign to put a brother of a Dutch king on the throne of "the Baltic kingdom".

At first it was looking absurd.

Tzar did not care. He did not wanted the most civilised region of Baltic under his rule. On the contrary - he wanted them gone.

Tzar's finall objective was not to conquer the land from Poland, but to destroy it alongside its HANZA ports. To kill men, to enslave women and children, later to sell them as slaves to Turkey.

And he really did it.

Support your warriors, they stand between your families and the night.

Timothy Gordon has a huge weak spot for the Jews. He gets violently offended when anyone criticises the Jews. These are the people that claim to be the descendants of the ones who killed Jesus Christ. Why any Christian, let alone a Catholic, should be worried on behalf of the Jews is beyond my comprehension.

One of the important things that I've learnt from this blog is the above. In some of my Christian circles, there is always the talk about being "peaceful" or that an extremist is setting a "bad example" or "poor testimony", etc etc.

I've moved away from trying to convince others and to start preparing my own family for the inevitable.

historically the catholics have always always been in favor of racially "leftwing" and anti-white movement. they have always supported converting as many non whites as possible. heck that is why latin america and large parts of Africa are christian today. This gentleman is completely detached from reality if he believed that a catholic institutions will tolerate anti black propaganda. he is detached from reality and i suspect hardly a conservative just someone who notices that blm is in fact a terrorist organization. Catholics are mostly conservative when it comes to gay rights not in anything else especially not in racial issues lol.

I've followed the author somewhat for the last few years and Vox is spot on. He does subscribe to the civnat narrative but he is no bow-tie twirling, civility demanding cuck. He knows the enemy and I suspect he had to know his school would eventually purge him one way or another.

Hopefully his lawsuit against the school gives him enough cash to get his family out of California. Nobody is safe there.

It sounds like he played the conservative's game of special privileges for one special group and the Left called that bluff and laid down a whole list of groups demanding and getting the same privileges. CivNattery always been a lie and a bluff, welcome to the party pal.

I think one simple question to Timothy and other civnats is asking them how that civnattery is working now, let them stew on that. All those essays, what a waste of human effort.

@12 - That "antipathy" has manifested itself for the last 60 years as little more than curled lips and shying away like frightened ponies, at least in North America and Europe.

Remember too, that "pope" is from Latin America, where the main point of contention between Marxists and the Catholic Church is who's the real representative of the poor in the eternal struggle against the capitalist swine.

I ascribe it to most Catholics being mainly of immigrant background and not identifying with Americans, a consequence of founding-stock Americans being Protestant. Although that's not quite as true any more for white Catholics, many of whom now have founding American background -- although you'll still see lots of fourth-generation polocks voting as hard-core Democrat as any FOB Puerto Rican -- it's definitely true for the Hispanics.

>>Enlightenment, equalitarianism, and ecumenicism are the three seductive evils<<

As generally praciced, yes. I see these as another example of evil not being able to create, but only to subvert, prevert, and invert:

Enlightenment: the quest for knowlege of the universe and how things work has been inverted into a materialist religion based on nihilism and the axiom that man is the measure of all thins;

Equalitarianism: the idea that like things should be treated alike, especially under the law, has been inverted into the patently false mantra that all people are the same and must obtain the same results from any situation (except when adherents of evil desire special treatment of course); and

Ecumenicisn: the idea that God"s church is one and that we can be brothers and sisters in Christ despite our doctrinal differences when we share the same fundamental belief in salvation through Jesus Christ has been inverted into the satanic axiom that all religions are equal and are equally valid.

Blogger Damelon Brinn July 20, 2020 8:38 AM

I think one simple question to Timothy and other civnats is asking them how that civnattery is working now

That's mostly ineffective. Here's why: Christians don't *expect* to win in this world. Jesus told us that we would be hated for His Name's sake. Most of the Apostles were martyred, and early Christians were thrown to lions, so it probably didn't feel like they were winning materially at the time. So there's no connection between being a good Christian and winning political battles. In fact, a Christian could argue the opposite: our political failures and persecution show that we're being good Christians and storing up treasure in Heaven.

*I* am not arguing that. I would argue that Christians have been losing for the opposite reason: we *haven't* been Christian enough, and have replaced real Christianity with the Cult Of Nice and related beliefs like civnattery. But that's why "why aren't you winning" will bounce off them as easily as DR3 bounces off Democrats. They have a built-in defense for it. They can even be proud of losing.

Nice Christians are Churchians, not Christians.

The Great Commandment is "Love God, Love Your Neighbor as yourself (Also love yourself.)" This needs you to be locally involved, and love people, which means wanting their Good, aligning with Godly goods. Sitting on your hands and letting communists win so they can progrom you, is not love. Just get a decent translation of love from Greek, or find a Greek Study Bible.

Argue with these Christians. Who cares if there are more of them? You are righteous. You will win. With God on our side, who can be afraid?

My ass. My parish is doing its bit to "foster" community. That means we have frequent seminars on our inherent racism. Exhortations not to use our air conditioning. The Spanish language masses are starting to push the English ones to less desirable time slots. Attendance is going down...and so are the collections. As one fellow on the finance committee told me, "The strategy is we have the Mexicans boost our body count and the white people pay the upkeep on the buildings. It ain't working." He knew that though I haven't officially moved on that I'm no longer attending that parish and, more importantly, donating money.

Anyhow if this editorializing gentleman was truly surprised at his dismissal, it just means he wasn't paying attention and/or was engaged in the usual "Surely everyone can see how truly special I am" delusion.

Because the inevitable result of ecumenism is weakness and equivocation. Ecumenism is the movement that insists we must abandon our devotion to truth, in order to pretend we are united.
A truly ecumenical church would wind up like the Episcopal Church, bereft of Christ and universally despised, and rightly so.

BLM is just (((Antifa))) in blackface.

* BLM = (((Antifa)))
* John Brown Gun Club = (((Antifa)))
* Redneck Revolt = (((Antifa)))
* CHAZ/CHOP = (((Antifa)))
* Free Left = (((Antifa)))
* BAMN = (((Antifa)))
* Socialist Rifle Association = (((Antifa)))

They're all Antifa.

Their core is comprised of paid agitators, although some of the people in positions of command and control are probably C^A. So who funds them? Who channels money to Antifa? Probably (((Soros))) and the (((R_thschilds))), although there are certainly others...

well-organized = well-funded $$

This is just the (((Communist Party of Germany))) all over again, which was also controlled by the "chosen people". And while there are plenty of gentile whites in Antifa and some token blacks....for when Antifa wears its "BLM mask", Jews are the ones who make the final decisions for (((Antifa))).

In other words, BLM is just another Talmudic Jewish LARP. The "chosen people" always fight their enemies VIA PROXY. Always. This means, manipulating blacks into fighting whites, women fighting men, Muslims fighting Christians, gays fighting straights, trannies fighting normal people, anarcho-Communists fighting non-anarcho-Communists, SJW whites fighting ordinary whites, etc. And if that doesn't work....blackmail and bribe celebrities, cops, judges, and politicians. Divide and conquer.

(((Antifa))) wears its "BLM mask" to weaponize blacks against whites, and to terrorize and cuck weaker and dumber whites into hating themselves for being "racist". It's an effective form of psychological warfare.....up to a point. It will inevitably backfire, when whites are backed into a corner. In any case, (((Antifa's))) "BLM mask" is a recreation of when they wore their "Redneck Revolt mask", which was used to manipulate gun owners into embracing "anarcho-Communism".

Always remember that BLM is as Talmudically Jewish as a Bar Mitzvah.

The short version: BLM = (((Antifa)))

Sure, every midwit should attempt to educate himself. I’m saying that for the less enlightened, simple language is a vastly more effective persuasion tool than this “intellect signaling” language. I have no problem with high-tier language; as a writer myself, I consider it beautiful. But there is a time and place for everything, and trying to reach a broad audience and inform them of a serious issue such as cancel culture within an ostensibly “conservative” institution like the Catholic Church is not the time or place to use language that will lose a good majority of those who read it. I want the coal miner with a third grade education to understand it as easily as the private college graduate. That’s how you change minds and thus how you change culture: broad accessibility.

Tim failed that test.

When the USCCB (the Catholic Bishops) universally bent the knee to the WHO and locked the doors to the churches because of ChinaSuperAIDs, a lot of the more traditional minded Catholics shrugged and went to SSPX services on Sundays. Tim went hard after that crowd for "leaving the church". Wound up burning many bridges between himself and those rather stubborn and pugnacious people. A lot of people who might have been ready to raise a ruckus on his behalf instead just shrugged at what his Bishop did to him.

Why is ecumenicism a bad thing?

Ecumenism these days doesn't mean bringing Christians together to work on shared beliefs. It means bringing together Christians, Jews, Muslims, and whoever else you can fit on your bumper sticker, which means watering down the beliefs you're fighting for until there's nothing left but a thin "be nice" gruel. The Christians do the caving in on any conflicts, which is why you get fake popes kissing the Koran and hiding their crucifixes when they meet with Jews, without requiring any return compromise.

Blogger Shane Bradman July 20, 2020 8:20 PM

As someone that graduated from a Catholic school only just 5 years ago, I am not phased by the school's decision. Most Catholic schools are corrupt either with social justice or because of secularists that donate big bucks and in some cases both.

The Catholic Church and Catholics specifically in the US, need to decide what they are and if they actually believe their faith means something. As a faithful Catholic, it has really shaken my faith to watch the degeneracy of my Church; both in it's constant cucking to everything we are supposed to stand against and the continued institutional rot that reeks throughout the places like the Vatican and many archdioceses.
