Mailvox: those aren't chickens...

An observant reader notes the source of the Color Revolution currently taking place in the USA.

You probably already know this, but if not, Michael McFaul has surfaced again. He's the Stanford professor who was Obama's ambassador to Russia and the creator of that idiotic "reset" policy, but before that, he was considered an expert on revolution, especially the Color Revolutions. According to McFaul, the seven factors necessary for a successful revolution are:

  •     A semi-autocratic rather that fully autocratic regime
  •     An unpopular incumbent
  •     A united and organized opposition
  •     An ability to quickly drive home the point that voting results were falsified
  •     Enough independent media to inform citizens about the falsified vote
  •     A political opposition capable of mobilizing tens of thousands or more demonstrators to protest electoral fraud
  •     Divisions among the regime's coercive forces

What I didn't know is that the State Department under Hillary Clinton turned these factors into a program and exported it, using it to destabilize and overthrow governments all over the Arab and former-Soviet world, especially in Ukraine.

Hench Ukraine's interest in keeping an eye on McFaul's activities. Better still:

"But it was McFaul’s role in the U.S. interference in the Russian 2012 election that put in motion everything that followed. Perception makes its own reality, and the Russian perception is that McFaul and the Obama administration purposefully put their thumb on the scale of Russia’s presidential election to keep Putin from winning. McFaul has been banned from traveling to Russia, and in 2018 Putin approached Trump for permission to have Russian intelligence officers question McFaul about alleged illegal activities conducted while he was ambassador. While the Russian claims are unsubstantiated allegations, and their request facially absurd, the fact remains that when it comes to apportioning blame for the sorry state of U.S.-Russian relations today, one need look no further than Michael McFaul and his decades-long effort to create Russian “democracy” from whole cloth as laying the foundation for failure."

In 2014, having made a thorough botch of trying to install American-style democracy all over the Arab and post-Soviet world, McFaul resigned and slunk back to Stanford, to resume teaching... until this past weekend, when he reemerged as a quotable expert on foreign relations: “Trump has lost the Intelligence Community. He has lost the State Department. He has lost the military. How can he continue to serve as our Commander in Chief?”

I keep thinking about McFaul's seven prerequisites for a successful revolution. It looks to me as if we're in Step 7 of the plan now: creating divisions among the regime's coercive forces, to make it impossible for them to present a coordinated response to the riots in the streets. Having failed to install democracy everywhere else in the world, it looks as if McFaul and his ilk have decided to bring the revolution back home.

Is it just me, or do you hear it too? It sounds like ... chickens ... coming home to roost.

Not that the situation isn't serious, but I can't help being amused by the appropriate nature of the man's name. McFoul indeed. What we're seeing here is not about "liberals" or "the Left", it's actually the neocon's World Trotskyite Revolution attempting to reestablish their control over the USA now that they've lost Russia.

Blogger SciVo September 10, 2020 12:03 PM

Yes, the street thugs are enthusiastic amateurs, not LARPers. This is nothing less than a Color Revolution where the color is Black (which I believe is the real reason why the propagandamedia has issued the guidance to capitalize it).

Though I would quibble and say that it is properly understood as a counter-revolution to the American Revolution -- which helps exp!ain why it has the support of the establishmentarians, who are elitists that despise popular self-rule. And so our own response will therefore be re-revolution, not CWII; the latter is a fantasy of our opponents.

Words have meanings, and they matter.

Trump is attacking this with:

Taking populist stands and communicating through rallies and social media that bypasses the media gate keepers.

His Action against critic race re-education sessions is just the start. There will be a constant series of actions by to control the media cycle.
>An unpopular incumbent

Trump is going after sections of the Left Coalition, forcing the Left to play defense. This includes Blacks, Minorities, and Union Members.
>A united and organized opposition

Trump is discrediting the media, to showcase how biased they are. And Trump is not a newbie on lawfare. And AG Barr should not be under estimated. Trump will have such a blow out it will destroy the falsification efforts.
> An ability to quickly drive home the point that voting results were falsified

>Enough independent media to inform citizens about the falsified vote

Trump is branding the demonstrators as a bunch of latte drinking rich kids. Al Sharpton comments on de-policing help. Plus Trump is discrediting the protesters.

>A political opposition capable of mobilizing tens of thousands or more demonstrators to protest electoral fraud

Doomed to failure, and a non issue.
>Divisions among the regime's coercive forces

"Resistance" planning for the (people of) color revolution is already well advanced courtesy of the benign sounding Transition Integrity Project (TIP). TIP is full of Democratic campaign operatives and a few Never Trump Republicans led by a Georgetown University law professor. Hit google for details.

Here is the link to TIP’s thinly veiled, euphemistic-sounding blueprint - Preventing a Disrupted Presidential Election and Transition - which was published on August 3: https://paxsims.files.wordpress.com/2020/08/preventing-a-disrupted-presidential-election-and-transition-8-3-20.pdf

When you read the document, you can see most of McFaul's influence as well as a fairly coherent, flexible operational outline depending on how the November 3 vote breaks.

TIP conducted four table-top exercises to aid their planning to dispute and pushback against a Trump victory. The funny thing about the TIP effort is that it completely ignores the possibility of a decisive Trump win.

Any Trump victory short of a landslide will be hotly contested. If Trump wins the Electoral College, but Biden wins a majority of the popular vote (thanks to California), the shit is going to hit the proverbial fan. This is the scenario most likely to degenerate into national violence based on what TIP revealed in its planning document.

Much of what the TIP document is about is prepping the Forces of Narrative Control for a hotly contested election, but it also inadvertently revealing in terms of strategy and operations.

Other resistance groups are plugged into the TIP effort as well. Bottomline: The globohomocorpocracy is pissed off at flyover country and the enforcers of left-wing taboo code just aren't going to take shit from deplorables anymore.

“Trump has lost the Intelligence Community. He has lost the State Department. He has lost the military. How can he continue to serve as our Commander in Chief?”

Let me paraphrase for those who want the truth: "The Intelligence Community has rebelled in treason against the duly elected President of the U.S. Joining them in this treason is the U.S. Dept. of State. Some factions of the military appear to also rebel against their duly elected Commander. What is the Commander in Chief to do with these Benedict Arnolds?"

“A semi-autocratic rather that fully autocratic regime”: Resistance rhetoric routinely carps on Trump’s alleged authoritarian behavior. Expect further intensification of delegitimizing rhetoric ahead of the election.

“An unpopular incumbent”: Suppression polls and daily anti-Trump dud shells in the media are aim to convince the country that Trump is bad, bad, bad, and needs to go. What the Dems are really doing is getting high on their own supply (of propaganda). Fools.

“A united and organized opposition”: By TIP’s own admission, the resistance is not as united or as organized as required, but they are trying hard to remedy this. The key disconnect is between the violent minded street radicals and Democratic Party command and control structures. Expect the Dems to try to leverage street violence in subtle ways just as they are now. “Nice country ya got there . . .”

“An ability to quickly drive home the point that voting results were falsified”: In this case, we are talking about resistance ability to blunt Trump campaign narratives against mail-in ballots. The narrative battle is already well and truly joined on this point of contention.

“Enough independent media to inform citizens about the falsified vote”: Again, to the resistance, the issue is about undermining any Republican claims of ballot fraud and any Trump Administration legal efforts to contest specific outcomes. This was a major theme of concern in the TIP document as was the expression of fear that Trump will federalize the National Guard and take custody of ballots.

“A political opposition capable of mobilizing tens of thousands or more demonstrators to protest electoral fraud”: The capability is in place and will be unleashed in the event of any narrow Trump or come-from-behind Biden mail-in vote victory. Would not surprise me to see criminal gangs invited to the party.

“Divisions among the regime’s coercive forces”: We’ve seen this since before Trump entered the White House from the Intelligence Community and more recently from high-ranking military officers, including prominent retired generals. (The obvious ones to watch are Allen, Mattis, Jones, and McChrystal.) There is definitely pressure on the military brass to resist Trump, particularly any of his presidential orders based on the Insurrection Act.

I judge that the colorists think they are on step seven. Is that objectively true? Or is it simply a collorary of believing their own polling data?

When coloring in Ukraine, Syria, Belarus, Turkey, Algeria to Egypt et al, #1, 2, and 4 applied, with the basis that falsified voting was objectively true. With Russia and China, they lost it at #2. With the US, they will lose with #2 as well. They do not know their enemy, because the fundamental SJW mental state cannot admit the possibility that they are in the wrong. To know the enemy you must confront the very real probability that you are the bad guy.

Not to mention that they're the ones to do the falsification on #4 which the GE has been hammering on.

So I think they're drinking their own kool-aid here. I know there will be blood, but the time is not yet to go full color. They'll try, but it's going to set them back decades. The 2032-33 collapse will be organic.

(((Journal of Democracy))) huh, and of course they have the statue of liberty as their logo which they just love to quote all the time to push things like open borders and free movement, "give us your poor, huddled masses" etc. The only reason they want democracy (mob rule) so bad is because they already control a majority of the brainless masses via public opinion, mass media and so-called higher education. They openly proclaim that the electoral college must be removed but what they don't tell you is because that is one of the few obstacles remaining that allows America to continue being America. It would be nice if we could somehow get the BLM/SJW cancel culture attack dogs who love to tear down statues to focus their ire on the statue of liberty, but it will probably never happen just like when people point out how it's pedophiles and Jews behind those movements in the first place and it just ends up getting censored, blacked out or buried.

Yet another civil war is one of the last options remaining for them and it appears to be ramping up.

It's gone a lot further than that. Based on just public knowledge, the DoD made the Federal paramilitaries in Portland using their camo BDUs change. The DoD Secretary and Chief of Staff are openly insubordinate.

The DoD higher ups persecuted the helicopter crews who used downwash from hovering low over rioting groups in D.C. to discourage the latter, the men at the tip of the spear know the former want to plunge that spear into their backs, something Trump has done a lot about WRT to prior efforts like this. They were constantly saying they were going to send men back to their bases, and Trump's recent attack on them about our foreign Forever War is I believe in part a reflection on their all but total refusal to defend the homeland, even D.C. and the White House.

The latter of which requires troops: with the current ROE, the Secret Service just doesn't have enough men to cycle through the front lines to replace their temporary and permanent casualties, and and things will go badly if the mob breaks through must be hosed down by P90s and GPMGs. And of course the National Guard never gets useful arming orders, which puts them at the mercy of the rioters if the local police don't protect them. And while not entirely undeserving, the local police are attacked at every turn by almost everybody.

Blogger justaguy September 10, 2020 6:29 PM

There is ample literature about the nature/ways to foment revolution, much of it i the west developed/ taught when the West was fighting indigenous native revolutions supported/started by international communism after WWII. It is nothing like McFaul's idiocy that only works temporarily with large foreign intelligence and financial support. McFaul's views are how to rig an election/cause a new election. Look what happened in Ukraine. The US soured US-Russia relations for decades and lost large portion of Ukraine to Russia. A real successful revolution!

Think simple- two phases moral and military. Revolutionaries have to win on both fronts. For the US, they have not even approached winning in either. The troops do not follow the pentagon prince generals, they follow their oaths, NCOs and then officers below Colonel. Remember that the attempted counter-revolution in Russia failed because the troops themselves would not follow orders to take control of the budding Russian democracy? Same with our troops. and so on and so on. Moral win? a very small portion of the population believes BLM and the Marxism .

Lots of other theories of revolution, all need study. It seems the left lost much of the scholarship of revolution from the 20th century. Probably a good thing-- they will be inept.

Now, progressives using democracy and the madness of the masses to win a few elections-- sure....but not revolution.

I believe that it's mindless, like Muslims imposing Sharia wherever they have enough people on the street. Scott Adams's "process, not goals."

That mode can select for an effective modus -- but one that is disconnected from its nominal purpose, and will not be corrected when it works against.

So they have enough people on the street in some places now, and there is no one who can both look at the bigger picture and also stop them from shooting themselves in the dick.

So we will suffer purposeless violence -- that doesn't even benefit the perps -- until we make them stop. But I think 4G means our hands are tied until Wednesday, Nov. 4th.

I'm going to guess that the Left isn't monolithic, but it does have a single guiding spirit. I think the several Lefty power centers are probably trying to tear down their Lefty competitors, in part by infiltrating them, but I really don't think ``agent provocateurs'' is the right term for those infiltrators.
