Soros bought the Southern Baptists

A lot of Southern Baptists, and former Southern Baptists like myself, looked on askance as the Southern Baptist Convention, led by Russell Moore, leaped into social justice as if into the bosom of Abraham. It turns out that this corruption and convergence of the Southern Baptists began with the corruption of Dr. Russell Moore and his Ethics and Liberty Commission by George Soros:

A report from Enemies within the Church, printed below, contains documents obtained by the filmmakers that link grants and funding from leftist billionaires to the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention and its head Russell Moore. The documents include grant data showing the Democracy Fund provided $50,000 to the controversial ERLC’s and The Gospel Coalition’s MLK50 Conference.

Other documents in the report include Dr. Moore’s name in the Podesta emails published in 2016 by Wikileaks....

As more refugee resettlement means more grants to faith-based organizations to resettle refugees a great potential for corruption exists. The North American Mission Board oversees the SEND Network, which plants churches. These plants stand to gain if they can pitch their efforts as community revitalization; something that pairs neatly with refugee resettlement. One vice president of the SEND Network is Dhati Lewis, whose ties to the ERLC are evident by his appearance on their website. Dhati Lewis also takes the stage prominently with Kevin Ezell, leader of the SBC’s North American Mission Board. Kevin Ezell’s leadership of NAMB has been fraught with controversy, as one can see quite clearly by following the website of Will McRaney, a Southern Baptist who has spent years documenting the corruption at NAMB online.

Dr. Moore has tied ostensible gospel efforts to a political lobby funded by George Soros, a man who opposes Biblical doctrine on ethics, life, sexuality, etc., and who openly says he wishes to invest large amounts of money in any willing evangelical that can spin his left-wing politics into a “Christian” endeavor.

I've stated previously that Dr. Moore should be expelled from the Southern Baptists and all his works undone. This is further evidence of the need for that. Moore is quite clearly one of the wolves in sheep's clothing against whom the Apostle Paul warned Christians.

The lesson of the infiltration and convergence of churches from the Roman Catholic to Lutheran to the Southern Baptist over the last 50 years is this: relentlessly police your institutions and organizations. And pay very close attention to every would-be leader who seeks to bring about "much-needed change" or "bring the organization into the modern world", then rapidly expel them.

The SBC is pozzed, but it has less of an affect on southern baptist churches due to their structure. Southern baptist churches are bottom up, with policies subject to votes of the congregation, not top down where a small external hierarchy controls the entire denomination (catholic, lutheran, episcopalian). My southern baptist church is extremely based because the congregation is based.

Trump-supporter Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has warned the world about the 'Deep Church', parallel to the Deep State. That false Church is modernist, radical, Globalist-- and actively visible in most ecclesial bodies in 2020.

In that sense, Deep Church subverters like George Soros and the current occupant of the Vatican are both operating as agents of anti-Christ.

Jesus warned us to beware wolves in sheep's clothing. Doubly so as they try to impose an anti-Christian global Great Reset of authoritarian transhumanism, socialism, and total societal control.

And JD Greear, the current president of the denomination that used to be called "Southern Baptist", needs to be booted with him. I have attended JD's megachurch "Summit RDU" for years until I could take it no more. JD is in lockstep with Moore and is guiding the denomination ever leftward.

The problem is, the average member of Summit loves JD and would probably follow him to the gates of Sodom. There is absolutely no spiritual discernment in that church. They cannot tell the wolves from the sheep.

The love of money is the root of all evil. I come at this from the Lutheran side of things, being the pastor of an independent house church. I have never been affiliated with the larger Lutheran bodies such as the ELCA, but have many friends in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. They blind themselves to the fact that the battle has already been lost. They can cry and moan about women's suffrage in the church, contemporary worship, the abandonment of the liturgy, the run-away Concordia university system that is anti-Christian in nearly all its parts, but will they teach their own congregations and lead them out of Babylon? No. That would be to risk losing their calls, their insurance, and their pensions, and, God forbid, have to take up tent-making to make a living with whatever remnant follows them out of Babylon. They are unwilling to suffer for the cross. They have forgotten the words of Jesus, "I came not to bring peace, but a sword."

I came across these guys when my church started talking about social justice. Really informative videos exposing the infiltration of social justice, CRT and intersectionality in the churches. Its really stunning how easily our pastors are led astray by these things. Even older pastors that went through seminary I would think before these things were being taught, but maybe the infiltration of the seminaries occurred earlier than I'm aware of.

St. Anthony's Church parish just north of Boston once was a vibrant Catholic community . The church is a replica of the same in Padua Italy. Built 100+ years ago with the lifelong savings of hardworking Italian immigrants it has an alter that mimics St John Lateran in Rome. Surrounded with floor to ceiling blocks of pink Carrera marble the raised life size statues of saints at the end of each pew anchor the priceless stain glass windows which make for a visually stunning masterpiece.
Not so long ago, maybe a decade or so, an Indian priest from Mumbai was brought in and then a few years later his younger counterpart. Not many parishioners gave a second thought. I however have a hard time understanding them as they both speak horrible English. To combat this I attended the masses where the ethnic-European priests were doing the services.
A few years past and one said priest suddenly passed and another was relocated then the head pastor retired. Now I go to church and can no longer understand the homily because these 2 priests are all that remain. What is most noticeable is the difference in culture. They speak differently, have different mannerisms and do not share the same history. There is hardly any connection.

Now, I have newfound meaning of what just what is the Church of Christ. It is we shepherds connected by a spiritual mysticism joined in prayer to rid the world of the evil that permeates every society in this present day war against all that is good true and beautiful.

Onward Christian Soldiers!

There is a considerable difference between being Catholic and being "owned" by the Catholic Church (i.e., in lockstep with Bergoglio). Seven Justices are juridically Catholic (Thomas, Roberts, Alito, Sotomayor, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett). Sotomayor is thoroughly heterodox if not pagan (as shown by Obergefell). Gorsuch is really Episcopalian and equally heterodox in belief (as shown by Bostock - although he is probably "High Church"). Roberts is a squish and joined the liberals allowing PA to count late mail-in ballots (whereas Gorsuch aligned with Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh).
My best guess is that Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh, and Barrett are firmly orthodox in belief and dependable on upholding a constitutional Republic against the barbarians. Roberts will join the liberals on anything against Trump - a Bushian to the core. The swing vote is Gorsuch.
IMHO.

Sounds socialist when you take that cliché at face value. Naw, my intuition tells me that especially the people attracted to religion who use it to go bad, have other evils worse than 'love of money.'

"It's about the children" is not an old saw, and that's where the worst evil lay. There are many people that chase money, who fall short of evil, but those who damage innocence...

Best to check out all these 'church leaders' for what they had access to beyond bribes. Sometimes is is just the money and power, but often...

Judas lived when / where circulated a silver currency: the Tiberian 98% denarius at 3.9 grams each. Say what you will about princeps Tibey, he was a fiscal conservative.

Bulk 115g is worth less now because it's just an industrial metal. With jewelry you're paying the craftsman.

So to figure what Judas was buying, I'd measure his 115g of silver against what that metal would have been worth in 1870 when the Colorado mines were still profitable and true silver dollars in circulation. (The Georgetown mines still are full of silver but nobody cares to get at it now.) Then convert that silver dollar to our fiat dollar.

In keeping with most Southerners' desire to just be left alone, you're more likely to see a continued exodus from the SBC churches and a rise in independent churches in their place, rather than any attempt to wrestle control of the Convention from Prometheans. From my time in a Southern Baptist Church 15 years ago, most of the members, if the even know the SBC exists, have no idea what it does or what it's pushing but people do eventually notice when the new/guest Pastor is preaching sjw crap.

Yes. That has been true for some time. When churches can make more money from a few millionaires, billionaires, and government(s) than they can from parishioners, I'm not sure there is a way back. Kickbacks, both personal and institutional, going back and forth... The French Revolution had a point, when the church was allowed to tax just like the government. Will it take blood and a sea change in governments. Probably.

Money isn't the root of all evil, but the lust for it is. My guess is it started, recently, with the government paying religious charities to do inner city interventions? Hand out charity to blacks and the poor, without having to spend their own money? In the 50's, 60's? Or about there?

Gotta get the government out of churches, and the government out of charity, altogether. That seems to be the base of the corruption... if charity has been a problem for the church since Judas got a taste for coin, right at the start.

I intentionally joined an SBC church 2 decades ago. Dr. Adrian Rogers was still alive and keeping it in line. When he passed away the wolves moved in. Al Mohler and Russell Moore took on more leadership and then Lifeway went suspect. I walked into my 5th and 6th Grade Sunday school class 4 weeks ago after our first post coronachan version 1 shut down. They had a brand new set of junk from Lifeway. I threw it in the garbage and told them we only use one book. I also cut off the checks because nothing would go to SBC I resigned as a deacon and told them if they wanted to use Lifeway material for the kids they would need another teacher. The kids are HUNGRY for the WORD. They are starving for it. I cannot go to the services any longer. I stay only for the kids and make sure they feast on the Word. Russell Moore and company are enlarging their millstones daily.

This. The "Catholic Church" isn't any more Catholic than UNESCO or Al-Azhar University. A practicing Catholic, one who actually believed the tenets of the Catholic religion and tried to hold to them, would under present-day circumstances be a right-wing straight-Republican-voting Trump supporter.

Holy Orthodoxy again seems the only earthly way to the true Christ.

I almost brought up a conversion to my elderly and sick father over the weekend, who is a devout Roman Catholic and a Third Order Dominican. I couldn't do it. I knew it would break his spirit.

I feel confident that he will find his way to Heaven with the Sacraments and his unshaken belief in Christ Jesus. He was never a Churchian thought he did try to equivocate on occasion, due to loyalty to the Church.

That being written, I still believe that ancient institution and the once true Church has merit and is worth saving, however that keyhole is closing. I have no power myself in helping to save it. I have enough issues with saving my own soul presently.

There is a correlation between the Atheism of our time and the decline of everything that is good and healthy. The children are indeed hungry for the word and the faith of our fathers, as well as the scientific progress, rhetoric and logic pioneered by the Christian fathers.

Let them not go hungry. Christ himself said, I THIRST!

Yep, grew up Southern Baptist myself. Thankfully the Old School Southern Baptist pastors knew this was a possibility someday, and made sure to teach their flocks to walk out the door if anything that contradicts scripture was taught. The real SB will just move into home churches, which they have already started doing for almost 10 years now. Just as well, since all the 501c3s need to be destroyed; that will help flush out Masons as well.

Christianity that is "brought into the modern world" is now seen as dated, but the churches that kept tradition, as instructed by St Paul, are timeless. We go to church in worship of Jesus Christ, not in worship of climate change and homosexuals. We do not want change from the truth.

The denomination as a whole is terrible but this congregation still was good enough that they retained their candlestick. After the Pastor preached against abortion and homosexuality half the congregation was in uproar. He never touched controversial topics again and eventually would barely open the Bible. I found an Independent Fundamental Baptist church in our area a few years ago and never looked back. Give me an old hymnal, KJV and some good hard preaching.
