Outside the normality box

How Pompeius Magnus, Cato, and the Roman Senate were taken so completely by surprise by Julius Caesar's decision to cross the Rubicon with a single legion that wasn't even his best or his most loyal. Now, at long last, I finally understand, thanks in part to this random comment from Twitter, posted in response to President Trump's speech on December 2nd.

We are seeing the last desperate flailings of a truly frightened and trapped animal.  He knows what is waiting for him on the other side of Biden's inauguration - humiliation in front of the whole world, many civil lawsuits, State and Federal charges, asset seizure and prison.

Is that how the speech struck any of you? Because it certainly didn't sound that way to me. But given the way it almost certainly reflects the attitudes of both the Establishment and the conservative political elite, which is that President Trump wouldn't dare depart from the current norms concerning respect for the public perception of democracy created by the media narrative, I don't think any of them are even remotely prepared for what now appears to be the most probable outcome.

The courts have been warned. The legislators have been warned. But I don't think they are listening to the warnings, any more than a big tech company listens even when it is bombarded by hundreds of notices from its users, because they simply don't believe that anyone will dare to think, let alone step, outside the normality box.

It occurred to me while Trump was speaking yesterday that he'd be the kind of guy to fix the election problem and then step out just to prove it was never about him. But he really can't do that because it's going to take a fighter to do all the other swamp-draining, and I don't know that we have another one like him who is ready to step up. He might do it anyway.

They sure do project, though, don't they?

From a biological perspective, our modern history is looking far more expedited as compared to the late Republican Period. It is hard to place where we genuinely sit in comparison on a social level but I see a mix of Sulla and Caesar in Trump.

Sulla had a ruthless streak that Trump has yet to show but wanted to set the Republic back onto its foundations after the likes of Marius and the Gracchi brothers. It looks as though Trump wants to save the Republic which has another 100 years tops left in it.

The Caesar in Trump is the tactician (4D Chess) with the ability to have his enemy’s underestimating him and having widespread plebeian support.

Being late in years, Trump may very well follow Caesar’s example on usher in the next Octavian who will outmanoeuvred the Deep State to bring in the Imperial Age.

I make a point to tell whoever I talk to about the God Emperor's re-election that civil war is a better alternative than to let democracy be murdered by the most obvious fraud that's ever happened in America. The conservative elite attitude of "Trump should lose with dIgNiTy" is tantamount to tossing democracy completely out the window because otherwise you might be called racist. Biden and the ironically named democrats are anti-democracy and should be treated as the criminals they are. Let's first see the democrats and their gay media counterparts be humiliated by the courts, followed by thousands of arrests.

The God Emperor has no alternative.

Here in england, the latest MSM lie is that TGE has been telling his people that it's fine if he loses and he can just run again in another four years.
Never mind that the Dens are clearly planning to desteiy him, his family, and his name. Apparently hes happy to sit back for four years and have another try next time.

Anonymous Anonymous December 03, 2020 6:15 AM

Even if it were true (that Twitter message) about what he's doing, leaving him no alternative is strategically suboptimal.

Unless you have innate capability to completely vanquish your foe, making him fight for his life is a bad choice. (In fact even if you have overwhelming power, power is rarely the sole consideration. I once sat on a nest of red ants while holidaying at a friend's place in France. You couldn't even see them clearly they were so small, but they bit me over a hundred times in the space of a few seconds. I could easily destroy the entire nest, but I didn't.)

Blogger God Emperor Memes December 03, 2020 6:16 AM

I listened to the whole speech and this particularly struck me: "The only conceivable reason why you would block common sense measures to verify legal eligibility for voting, is you are trying to encourage, enable, solicit, or carry out fraud."
That sounds like a lawyer wrote it, specifically as a warning of how people could be prosecuted.

I don't know if where things are today counts as the Rubicon, but one thing is for sure: everything is different now. A line has been crossed and there will either be blood, or at least lots of salty tears. Hopefully from the Left.

The Republicucks here are doubling down on their sale of our 16 electoral votes to the CCP and Iran. Pompeo warned all 50 of the governors, but all Kemp did was go from "ambiguous" to "friendly".

We really would have been better off with Stacey (M1A1) Abrams vetoing bills for 4 years, while trying to figure out how to blow up the Stone Mountain Monument while simultaneously disarming one of the most heavily armed populations in the union.

I don't know about crossing the Rubicon, but he did show he's comparable to the best Roman rhetoricians:
"They were not allowed to be present. In fact, they weren’t even allowed in the same room. They were thrown out of the building and they looked from outside in, but they had no way of even seeing, because there were no windows. And the windows that were there were boarded up."

This is a very interesting point of view. Our own "reverse normalcy bias" tells us that history was full of upheaval and trauma, while in reality people were probably always surprised by events.

There is, in Washington DC, a blackmail machine which has been serving the power-mongering elites for many decades. Into that machine is fed the ever-recurring gaggle of feckless, newly-elected and newly-arrived narcissists who are titillated by the delights of DC. They are like kids in a candy store. They are party boys. Inevitably, they get caught in set-up situations that show them to be acting naughty, and their naughtiness is recorded on video. They are then "counselled" by operatives of the elite who inform them that they will be allowed to stay in the candy store so long as they vote the way the elites want them to vote. Otherwise, their peccadilloes will have to be made public and they will then have to go back to the relatively boring life in the hinterland whence they came. Any intractability evinced by the party boys against this warning will be handily quashed by a further warning that spouses and children of the party boys may, shall we say, find themselves in dire straits should the warning not be heeded.
This is why Congressmen who promised their electorate that they will vote a certain way routinely do a 180 when they vote in session. This is the rotten system that parades under the banner "The United States Government." This is why the country is falling. And this is why the "Swamp" should be buried rather than drained.

In Brazil, we had a monarchy for 67 years. The 2nd and last king, who was on the throne for almost 50 years, was a good man, and probably the best ruler Brazil had or, most likely, will have.

But when the time of testing came, and a tiny minority staged a coup against him and proclaimed the Republic of Robber-Barons, he failed. He resigned. He said he didn't want Brazilian blood to be spilled to keep him on the throne. A good man, but a bad king.

Ever since, Brazil has been under the full control of a treacherous robber oligarchy always willing to sell Brazil to the highest bidder (right now, it's the Chinese). May your Emperor choose differently, and keep our American brethren from sharing Brazil's fate.

“they simply don't believe that anyone will dare to think, let alone step, outside the normality box”

That is a core component of what makes a paradigm shift, a big one, such an oddity. The academic reactionary clings desperately to their cyclical model security blanket. The revolutionary successfully charts where convention fails. The caveat being that Trump knows he can not turn his enemies, only defeat them. The care he has taken of the real traps demonstrates this, both the ones he has avoided and the ones he has set.

Spot on comment VD. Again, you prove my decision to come here a sound one.

What you stated about "current norms concerning respect for the public perception of democracy created by the media narrative", applies to a lot of the uninformed people out there who get their news from the leftist media. They have no idea how our republic is on the precipice. I would rather Trump not have to cross the Rubicon, and from Trump's actions, he didn't want to either. But, at this point, unless the swing state legislators start acting this week, he is down to his last option. Certainly, I'm glad he planned this option, and I prefer it to the unthinkable. And he is the ONLY one I trust to use it. But everything that has happened since Nov 3, 2020, a little over a Month ago, has been unprecedented. May as well go all the way now.

Trump is obeying the forms of American Democracy as he demands that all legal votes be counted/all illegal votes be rejected.

However, it would be a major mistake by any member of the uniparty (aka the governing establishment) to assume that Trump will do as they would and go into the political night as demanded.

They forget that they are dealing with the same ruthless individual who ordered the droning of Iran's top general less than a year ago - a move that almost ignited a war.

That general made the supreme mistake of messing with the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

Trump's domestic enemies have made the supreme mistake of attempting to steal a national election. While I don't expect Trump to drone Joe Biden, I do expect him to fight to the finish.

There's no reasoning with the unreasonable. They want to believe their fantasies, to believe they're 'furries' and strong independent women, that men are women and women are men, that you can have a procedure to turn your penis inside out and now you possess the power of creation. It's what's happens why you cease to stigmatize mental illness and allow it to flourish without treatment, when you allow people direct access over carnal and base desires with no sense of morality or vision at all.

You can't reason with them. They must destroyed. Either from within or without. Why? Because history tells us so. A cleansing fire is natural and normal.

I read something about some [inferred atheist] archeologist was reflecting on the Old Testament, and the ancient Empire of Canaan and other surrounding peoples. "They were Evil. Yahweh was right to destroy them."

Before I turned away this morning, metro Detroit TV news was wall to wall--'there is no evidence at all'. The binder of affidavits was proven fake because the witnesses were not even at the state hearing.

The good honest democratic state legislators proved there is no evidence because the affidavit witnesses were lying because they were warned by the good legislators of possible criminal prosecution and the lying GOP didn't defend them.

They are scared. Not sure if it is about the court cases, or they are worried about taut wire traps on the roads and rifles shooting transmission line insulators.

But that is one hell of a lot of effort. And they stopped running the 'Biden won, it is all over' campaign ads they had on until last week, so they aren't even getting directly paid for this coverage.

Without referencing where the 'drinking the Kool-Aid' phrase comes from (Jonestown), I have challenged people on drinking the Kool-Aid. They think they were being witty by proudly proclaiming yes, they were.

Then I asked, what is Kool-Aid? Is it Kool-Aid Man's blood or piss?

Sort of like when Jack Reed got all fired up at Teddy Roosevelt after Teddy declared that Pancho Villa was a rapist.
Jack Reed, trying to be witty and shocking, said, "What's wrong with rape? I believe in rape."
Teddy Roosevelt turned to him, smiling, and responded, "It's nice to find a young man who believes in something."

A sign of the unprecedented times we are in. For those old enough, just consider the leftist media blackout of Trump's legal team's presentation of the overwhelming and obvious voter fraud evidence to the state legislators, to the daily coverage allotted to Watergate hearings, a nothing burger in comparison. That right there shows how far down the leftist media has sunk.

The offshoot of that is that, not a majority by any means, but a good chunk of people none the less, has no clue of how bad the voter fraud really is. They will be shocked when it is presented to them, damned the media. And then, they will be shocked even more by what comes out about the massive corruption in government, especially in the federal, but including the state and local levels. It's the only way this much voting fraud could have happened.

Cross the Rubicon? Yeah, whatever it takes to start cleaning up the overwhelming fraud perpetuated throughout our country, starting in DC.

The thought of the Stone Mountain frieze destruction has given me nightmares since she first starting talking about it 2015.
That said, aside from that, gun confiscation threats & other historical monuments she would've destroyed, we probably would have been no worse off with her at the helm than what we have now. At least whites might have gotten their dander up enough to wake up & demand we get a better rightist government in the state. Maybe.

This part of the quoted text:" He knows what is waiting for him on the other side of Biden's inauguration - humiliation in front of the whole world, many civil lawsuits, State and Federal charges, asset seizure and prison." = REALITY!
It is becoming increasingly clear, Trump is running out of options - he has to act.
While it may be hard to pull the trigger - there is no other choice!
Both Trump and remaining America are either all in or done!

Listened to and read the whole speech. Still digesting some elements but on the whole it sounded a note of finality. The very first sentence, this is the most important speech I will make, then the lengthy explanations, reminded me of Clinton's speech before going to Kosovo. He wants us all to understand the stakes and is prepping for larger actions that he may not wish to take.

If Trump acts, but still tries to frame it as acting within the Constitution, in an admitted gray area, in order to save it: What if another impeachment is rammed thru? Certainly looks like GOP Senate could not be counted on to have his back.

Hell, I'm not really sure they will if SCOTUS steps up, if only to avoid Trump getting his shoes wet, and throws the election to Congress.

Just speculating from the peanut gallery. As Vox said, we can't do much more than wait on events at the moment, other than some personal prep, and try to make our families and friends pay more attention.

Many people ascribe 4D chess to his actions after the fact. Its simply what ZFG for optics looks like after a battle.

I believe him when he says he loves America. You can see it in his eyes.
I also believe him when he says ..to install Biden as president will destroy what's left of the republic.

Well, you know, in a classical sense a "diatribe" is not so far off - in being clearly directed to the common man in plain English, in giving supporters education on the fraud in the form of examples (and thus argumentative ammunition) and making a moral point that this issue must be solved now or US as we know it is done.

All this delivered in a thinly suppressed sense of outrage.

So yeah, it was a diatribe, but this is a good thing. Much needed too.

Blogger RadixMalorum December 03, 2020 10:34 AM

Crossing the Rubicon is actually a very easy decision for Trump to make. They're openly talking about going after his whole family and putting him and his supporters in prison after he leaves office. He has no other choice at this point. They're literally leaving him no avenue for retreat. He either stands and fights or dies. I hope he makes the right decision and I hope his backers support him through it.

This sentiment is exactly what prevents the peaceful transfer of power. I've advocated for not prosecuting Hillary or Obama (just everyone underneath them) because if every election is "win or go to jail," every single election will be stolen and there is no reason for anyone to just go home when they lose an election.

If losing an election means you go to jail, then there can be no elections.

The Trump War Room Twitter account is suggesting Lin Wood is a secret democrat operative (Lin Wood did ratio them though, which is nice). Newt Gingrich was also calling Wood and Powell "totally destructive". Any time someone has the audacity to fight for real, the knives of the fat and happy come out to stab them.

He would if only neverTrumpers were the oind of guys to accept their wrongs and evilness of their deeds and move on. But they’re not; they’re the kinds of spiteful, pernicious, and thoroughly evil of guys to continue to seek to destroy Trump’s life, and those of his friends and family, that being the kind of guy to step out becomes self destructive.

Trump would have been perfectly happy with an election carried out with their normal levels of corruption. But they didn’t do that.

Trump would have been fine — and still is at this very moment — to accept Biden’s concession. But they didn’t do that.

Trump will also be fine with destroying them, if they really start asking him too.

Here's a what-if:

On the field - you have the following - battleground states that are contested, the state level courts, executive and judicial which are to various degrees compromised and careening this way or the other, the same repeated at the federal level, the crazy media and a seething 50+% of the country.

What undermines the whole field - what throws everything into doubt?

Maybe, it's a non-battleground state that actually went for Trump.
Or evidence that foreign country actors/corporations who have interfered with the election
Drop either/both MOABs and all of the above disintegrates.
That would be epic...

It is a common trait of con artists that they assume their marks won't "dare depart from the current norms" because the cons are predicated on the marks sticking to those norms, even, or maybe especially, after the con is unmasked. It's what gives them the confidence to engage in their schemes, which they wouldn't do if they thought they would beaten to a pulp, hanged, or simply just shot and left to die in a ditch when their con was discovered.

After a while, any prosperous society accumulates a large number of con artists in important positions. <--- You are now here... and so am I.

Yep, many people like your wife, who are really in fear of the major changes to what's normal will be more afraid. Globalist normality is a vile travesty, and under the cover it's a horror. Vox's title to this, "Outside the normality box," is spot on, as that IS the problem that many normies fear, even people who voted Trump.

The Great Thing is, when the Rubicon is Crossed only the usual paid AntiFa/BlackSlavesHaveMasters will get violent. The rest will wring their hands much, and fear more. Most will eventually come around.

Blogger Redneckian December 03, 2020 1:05 PM

I too have seen many comments on social media by "friends" gloating, bragging, celebrating, and cheering what they consider to be a lawful and clean and fair victory by Joe Biden. They write "get over it, Republicans; you've lost, there's no election fraud" / "we suffered for four years now it's your turn" and other comments.

Some have gleefully posted doctored photographs of Trump with a shaven head, tattoos, and prison garb.

I disliked these declarations, of course, but what struck me is that these people have for years harped on morality, fairness, honesty, and justice (and how these traits are all alien to Trump as a person and as a president). Yet they are so quick to dismiss all the evidence that has been unearthed since November 3.

I speculate that at least a few of them suspect there was fraud on a large enough scale that it tipped the election results, and yet they are willing to accept it because it would mean Trump's presidency ends. The end justifies the means, morality be damned.

Hypocrites, these leftists.

And for those who are true believers are sincerely have not seen what we've seen or are simply unwilling/unable to even consider there may be things they are not aware of: I agree that when Trump starts a second term, their shrill shrieks will reach the stratosphere. 4 years ago, I would have flooded their social media with trash talk - this time I'll be content with a quiet smile and a heartful of satisfaction.

Insurrection Act and Martial Law. Look into PROMETHEUS. Trump will retain full control of the troops, and the Federal Government. Tata controls the Pentagon, and Christopher and Ezra control Special Ops. Trump even has the right to bring in civilian militias to help.

PROMETHEUS refers to the chain of command protocols for armed forces (in particular the Marines and SS, and the National Guard as backup) in the event of a contested or compromised Transfer of Power.

The PROMETHEUS protocols, the Insurrection Act and Emergency Martial Law are all Constitutional at this point, so powers given the the President that the Globalists intended to use for themselves (HRC). The Executive Branch has been given far more power than the other two branches combined.

It was your responsibility as a man to lead your wife. Women will naturally conform and follow the men they respect in their lives. This reminds me of the story of Adam and Eve. Adam failed in his responsibility to be the leader and instead simped to Eve and ate that apple like she wanted. Don't ever simp. Not only will you suffer long term your woman will not respect you.

Unless you get your wife under control your marriage will not have a happy ending.

It ends up trying to impress the prom queen with data, facts.

As for a wife sheep, women have been asked to fill the roles of men despite their not being men, and to abandon the roles of women despite their being women. From this comes the rest. Who to vote for should not be an issue, as the 19th Amendment should not be. It isn't a matter of being sheep.

"Out of the frying pan and into the fire" is a clever bit of rhetoric that the con men have been using for a very long time to reinforce normalcy bias.

Of course it falls apart with almost any amount of serious thought. If you stay in the frying pan, you're going to be cooked anyway, so why should you fear the fire? At least the fire offers the chance to escape.

If that were true, it wouldn't matter. Right is right, wrong is wrong, and a majority cannot change that. The Left is wrong, and it would be wrong to let them have power. It's heartening to know that the majority of voters see that the Left is wrong and voted against them, but it's not necessary.

Even as rising, rain-redolent wind

And the distant trembling it carries portend

For the wary the coming of storms

Whose energies the most terrible bombs

Cannot rival, so for men in those days

With sense intact the time to agonize

Was past, the facts these lines belabor

Unmistakable signals to prepare.

As a man prepares his family home

To face the hurricane, their wisdom

Shaped all that remained in their favor

For that imminent, momentous war

That would decide the future, the fate

Of the infant not yet risen to his feet.

A bunch of people replied by quoting the Constitution.

He has NO support except from the people. No party, no judges in the Supreme Court, no independent money (he's not a billionaire). In sum, he's very much impotent to do what he'd like and need to.

Trump will become sort if like what Siklvio Berlusconni was in Italian politics. A media mogul who goes in and out of office.

With his new Trump TV he can set up Don Jr. for a run in 2028. The God Emperor will want to make the Trumps a political dynasty like the Kennedys & Cuomos (and to a lesser extent the Udalls)
