Conflict is conflict

The Mamba mentality applies to law as well as basketball.

You will be surprised how often people do the same things. … And if you can learn people’s patterns, and you can learn their tendencies and habits, by watching them game after game, you’ll see that they do the same things, and you can take advantage of it. And you can manipulate that.

Definitely applies to our government. PDJT studied these people for years. They haven't figured out he knows their playbook inside and out. And what their likely to do if forced off their playbook. PDJT is putting on an 'Art of War' clinic. It's going to be glorious.

If success was based entirely on pattern recognition then autists would rule the earth.
But in as much the same as God created alcohol to keep the Irish from ruling the world, an old Robin Williams joke, perhaps video games, speed running, and zits were created to keep omega sperg autists in check.
In defense of spergery, if they did run the world nobody would see much of them.

I know vox is not a video guy, but some of you may be. This is a youtube I ran across via some weird computer matching method.

Two women furry erotica authors are having a bitch war over takedown notices, but really because they both self indulgent smug nasty people.

The video maker spends a chunk of time explaining how she is a top creator for pateron such that the head of legal conspires with her to block the takedown notices.

It is all so pointlessly bitchy. But, it also seems like a window into how legal at the net based service company must dysfunction. The head of legal getting directly involved in a silly slap fight between two furry porn writers.

No wonder the TechCos suck, they have the execs acting like they are in mean girl cliques in 8th grade English class.

All those factors are relevant, always. If nothing else, you cannot eliminate chance because the world is not "solvable" - there is always the possibility of factors you did not account for, or by the rule upholders refusing to uphold the rules.

This is something one learns early as a good tournament chess player. You simply go over opponents games, and look for things to exploit. Works better for matches or league games played no more than one per day. If I played three or four games a day, I would still try to ask people who had played them before what their preferences were, as in where their skill sets were best or weakest. Openings, tactics, gambit players, or slow positional play, etc. ... could usually find something out.

This is key to being profitable at Poker. After the initial fun splashing-around honeymoon phase, you start to realize how critical it is to notice predictable behavior patterns in others, so you can exploit that edge, while also being wary of taking it too far yourself and being so predictable as to be taken advantage of by others.

Then one day you realize that you are noticing this universal truth in the people around you in the rest of your personal life.

And then, you notice current events, and world history...

MPAI, but also most people are lazy.
For certain tribes no matter how risky their recurring behavior patterns (search "woe unto" in the Gospels) they still seem beneficial to continue, they still seem to "work" with no major downside. Until one day for no reason at all

It's true in combat sports, for sure. Deliberately set up a "pattern" for your opponent, then suddenly break it, and your opponent is now reacting a beat behind you.

If alcohol can ruin you, then ruling can. I dare say that trying would, too.

This is why God endowed the British race with a worldwide empire so that he may exert his sovereign will in the world. The victories we have had over the heathen are the victories of the nobler soul in man, the likes of which alcohol could not subvert.

I wouldn't disagree with your wider perspective. But in the case of exploitation of patterns, timing is crucial. By definition, the exploitation of a repetitive action is contingent on repetition of the act. In any case when the action is not present, after having prosecuted such an act as 'habitual', the opportunity is no more than a hypothetical potentiality.

This is analogous to the case of Google running the gauntlet with Vox. Is it not the case that He has stated openly, that in the circumstance where they commit an incursion against his autonomy, he is well suited to exploit the weaknesses of their mendacious corpocratic habits? Only has it now transitioned from a potentiality, to a possibility. Now their legal incompetence can be leveraged. Without their consent to engagement there was no advantage in play. Hence, even though they consistently possess weaknesses capable of determining formidable damage, there would not be a 'chance' of risk if they avoided conflict with the SDL.

“Criminals always return to the scene of the crime.”

Not always, but darn well frequently enough in some categorical kinds of crimes of passion to make a stakeout a reasonable cost-effective activity.

In a general sense of totality if all crimes, not so much. It’s a cliche that’s rarely true. But murders and arson? Nearly a truism.

Blogger tuberman January 26, 2021 7:34 PM

Habits in anything, are usually due to being too new, too lazy, or never needing better or more fluid skills to win, often people that are overall good at the area, yet still get bogged down in some habits, simply don't have the time to seek alternatives. 'Habits' often lead to cheap wins against unskilled or nearly unskilled opponents, so these easy wins lead to arrogance, until...?!

Also, bad habits can be formed when one side is accustomed to having a 'stacked deck.' Some groups with everything set in their favor, have less skill the a school yard bully, but have gotten by for years.

I don't think Italy will give Big Tech their stack deck.

Works for all combat arts. My sparring partner for fencing had two or three opening moves - these were brilliant moves, too, that cost me a lot at first - and he always went back to them. I figured them out, and after that he never won. We fought with sabers, so he would end each session covered in livid welts. Very painful. But, still fun. That was decades ago. I told him about this just a few weeks ago, and he laughed and laughed as he cursed me.

In retrospect, it would have been better for both of us if I had told him I had figured out his favorite moves as soon as I learned them. That would have upped both our games.

@Doktor Jeep:

In defense of spergery, if they did run the world nobody would see much of them.

Yes, I like to think that if we somehow accidentally took over the world, we would (as Sarah Hoyt says) leave it ruthlessly alone.

Well, we would also make the best Q&A service that the world has ever seen, where anybody could ask any question and get answers from three of us, so that they could hopefully triangulate something close to the truth.

And if any one of us started actually trying to tell people what to do, he would immediately get smacked in the head Gibbs style. That is not what God put us on this Earth for.
