Armed and unprepared

I don't agree at all with this American Greatness article. The recent election demonstrated, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that democracy is dead and there is no political exit. It strikes me as yet another conservative finger-wagging "this is your LAST chance to vote your way to safety". But the voting machines have been compromised, ergo no one's votes matter in the slightest. There is no more Democrat vs Republican, there is only optimate vs populare.

Many traditional Americans are sleepwalking into a conflict they are not mentally prepared to handle. The ideals of blind justice and due process are now, for all intents and purposes, quaint relics, and relying on constitutional rights for protection is dangerously naïve.

Like it or not, we live in a police state, controlled by an increasingly authoritarian regime with near-total electronic surveillance. The national security apparatus views conservatives and free-thinkers as domestic terrorists, and there are now more military deployed in our nation’s capital than in war zones overseas. If America were any other country, it would be considered a non-permissive environment—not a free country.

The pundit class recommends midterm elections and unifying the GOP as remedies, but they ignore the real elephant in the room—representative government is not representing us. While conservative and independent voices are censored and banned from the community square, their elected representatives cower behind their desks and make sweetheart deals with the new regime.

We are facing a new post-justice, post-truth society. We won’t be able to debate our way out of it, vote our way out of it, or tweet our way out of it. No one is coming to save us. If traditional America wants to be free, it will have to stop living in the past, get up off the couch, and take action.

The good news is that there is nothing particularly difficult about the present situation. The only difference between the two parties described in the article and the two parties of Roman history is that in the USA, the optimates are mostly foreigners. Indeed, it is the situation in which the overwhelming majority of humanity found itself for the greater part of human history. The populares defeated the optimates in Rome, and they will defeat them again in America.

Politics are a recourse to have conflict without violence.

The system no longer is suitable to that purpose.

The wheel keeps on turning.

My only hope in the political process now is that it can be used to build some momentum behind populist messages. The populist candidates will never be allowed to win even a primary, but so far in the US they are being allowed on debate stages on the GOP side. So long as that continues to be the case there is some advantage to using the GOPs platforms to spread a message, organize and build support for a real populist movement.

He does admit that we won't be able to vote our way out. I read it more as a "I know they are watching, so I won't advocate violent overthrow of the government, but here is an outline of the structures we need to put in place to be prepared to stand at Thermopylae". Maybe that is an overly charitable reading, but my sense of the article was that the writer wouldn't disagree with Vox's comments.

Blogger Jeff aka Orville February 24, 2021 1:10 PM

What the writer proposed is just more of the same "let's build and fund a centralized organization and force the deep state to listen to us".

All that will accomplish is to put all our eggs in one basket that will be infiltrated, spied upon and subverted to serve the deep state.

It seems we are back again to colonial days where British subjects in the colonies had to decide for or against rebellion against the established government of the Crown.

Let's do the same thing we have done for the past 100 years, the one that did not even conserve legitimacy of the vote.

Weird. He identifies the problem nicely in the snippet that Vox quoted. But then, after pointing out that we can't vote our way out of it, he describes a plan for trying to take back power via the political process.

Blogger Solon February 24, 2021 1:15 PM

It's been known for some time that we aren't voting our way out of this.

So the only question here is "what's the next step in a 4gw/5gw warfare environment?"

Guerilla/terrorist actions won't be accepted yet, things aren't nearly bad enough.

A push to become "ungovernable?" A mass movement to refuse to pay taxes (no taxation without representation)? The idea has appeal to our history and would probably find a great deal of popular support: it wouldn't effect that much damage since taxes are nothing more than a leash on the populace right now, they dont need the tax money since they just print more, but it would be a glaring middle finger to their already fraying legitimacy issue, and doesnt require the sedated population to do anything except change their w-4s with their employer.

Anyone have any useful ideas?

Blogger Doktor Jeep February 24, 2021 1:20 PM

There has to be something to fight for.
Who wants to fight to save the boomers' retirements? Who wants to fight so the USA remains so "great" that everybody and their brother wants to come running in here and then chain migrate their 40 relatives each? Who wants to fight to keep the abortuaries going? Maintain this Usury system perhaps? Or maybe "Free Speech" so the liars can keep on lying and some hapless generation down the road has to put up with this shit again?

Surely as there is no war over abortion now, there was no war over slavery either. Did poor southrons want to fight for the rich plantation owners? Did fresh immigrants in the north give a crap about slaves? Does anybody want to fight so some dingbat who with no self control can escape consequences? Or conversely, so the same dingbats can be forced to multiply on our dime?

Who wants to fight for a system that failed because it was gamed to death?

These are the questions on my mind.

Retreat to the countryside towns, keep out intruders with the threat of “getting lost in the woods”, and ignore Biden’s decree like the senile pronouncements they are. Federal law is meaningless if nobody is going to enforce it.
Hard secession might not occur but there’s already signs that some states are just going to give federal “law” the finger. Why turn things bloody when we can just emulate Poland’s relationship with the EU?

Declares Americans ought to organize for their defense, categorizes everyone on earth as an American. Brilliant. I'm sure his literally glowing resume informed the article's angle. AM Greatness wouldn't publish articles that risked a DOJ raid. The writer doesn't focus much on LOCAL political control and nullification. He's civnat, of course, but otherwise counsels fighting instead of submitting. And he holds too much faith in legal defense: when the courts and lawyers are corrupt, the only legal defense is offense.

That said, if you personally aren't working on concrete measures now, you're well behind the game.

Blogger TMLutas February 24, 2021 1:47 PM

Unless we're going for species extinction there's going to be a political exit. The question is whether that's going to be after warfare or instead of warfare. I believe that the best political exit is the exit that can be started now and will work whether or not there is warfare in between.

The Sons of Liberty were prepping for a free and independent America for decades before the Revolutionary War broke out. Had we negotiated a velvet divorce instead of that war their work would have been just as valuable.

Last stop before Thermopyle is BS. It's the wrong way to look at things.

Blogger allyn71 February 24, 2021 1:58 PM

I don't read that as finger waving cuck talk at all. It is an appeal to action laying out a campaign to create an American Hezbollah while trying not to bring the Eye of Sauron down on the article. I am not claiming there was some unspoken agenda or hidden message on Vox's behalf but I can't help speculate if his pointing to this article isn't a similar effort.

There is some hope in this as the left has already legitimized this in some ways, particularly around immigration. It won't stop the Feds from trying to make an example of a red state that sticks their neck out, but even the lazy, sleeping Red Staters will notice the extreme disparate reactions and start asking questions.

If a block of 10-20 States do the "nice gun laws you got there feds, GET OUT" routine then I think there will be no real reaction by the Feds other than pretending that the laws are being enforced in those States. At this juncture, they can likely get away with cracking down hard on 1 Red State, but if they attempted to do it to 15 they risk a hot war.

Blogger allyn71 February 24, 2021 2:37 PM

Nothing says centralized like

Instead, it is built on the structure of a grassroots political movement designed to return control of the country to the citizenry. This is something to be implemented locally, in communities, towns, and cities.

No where in the article did I see "Vote Harder". I may have missed it but I don't believe the word vote is ever mentioned in the article. It is about building local institutions now.

If we get to the point of Thermopylae where things are so desperate that a few feel forced to take a stand against the many in a sacrifice to buy time we are going to lose.

No one is coming to save you, you have no organization to stop what is coming, build local now. That is the message of the article IMO.

Blogger Doktor Jeep February 24, 2021 3:12 PM

Trumpism might turn us back towards a more federal system in the long run.

Before he took office, the state level was making bulwarks against Obanunism.

But thanks to the " oh hey our guy is president now! Back to self absorbed indulgence!" mindset, that stopped and even receded. The more illegitimate the federal government looks, the more state power rises. Well probably never get those blue states to reform their election processes, but the senators and Congress they send to Mordor wont matter. On the state level reform is possible in red states. Even Florida, with it's already solid ballot tracking system, may seek to end drop boxes and require absentee ballots be requested each time. See DeSantis "Nine steps".

Trump wants to see a lot of RINOs primaried. I have seen state level GOP fuckery. All this is going to do is open more eyes. Want to know exactly how people like Romney stay in forever? Oh we will be finding that out. Nobody is going to like it.

Trump knows this game well. Notably the insurgent government in DC is seeking now criminal charges against Trump. If his plans were not a threat, they would not bother. Back when everybody was allowed on the internet with their ideas was when they didn't think it was a threat.

Ultimately political and military solutions are not insulated. You can't just keep silent then start shooting someday. It's often said the revolution was won before the first shot was fired.
Remember, the Killdozer guy went through all the necessary recourse before becoming a folk hero. Had he not, he would have been just another nut with welding tools.

With so much inevitability of doom, and ultimately physical death no matter what you do, why cower as if to be spared? Possibly the biggest lie of all is when they got people lined up waiting to be shot, each one thinking they just might be spared at the last moment and ripping the nearest guards eyes out would ruin that chance at someone who went through the trouble of putting them there suddenly changing their mind.

Georgia was "flipped" while Trump had a 500,000 vote lead. Then, just to drive home the point that he better not allow a hand recount, they killed the governor's future son-in-law with a bomb, and didn't investigate it. It no longer matters if you are in a "red" state or not. All they have to do is compromise enough people at the top and they win. It used to be that you had to win big enough that they can't cheat their way to a win. That's not the case anymore. They could've given Biden a 50 state sweep in November and we'd be told everything's fine. We've hit peak banana-republic in America. No election anywhere will matter again--ever--unless something dramatic happens. The way you know who is behind Biden is that everything he is doing now is designed to eventually result in maximum bloodshed. God help us.

Weird. He identifies the problem nicely in the snippet that Vox quoted. But then, after pointing out that we can't vote our way out of it, he describes a plan for trying to take back power via the political process.

That's not insane. The idea of both an "action" and a political faction to a movement isn't new. That's what the Irish did. It was the equivalent of a good cop-bad cop game, the initially unviable political wing becoming a more desirable alternative to the escalating "action." In fact, you can look at today's Leftist as another example. BLM and Atifa exist to empower the Democrat political party.

Ultimately whether Clausewitz wrote "with" or "by", there's a political element to the process. There has to be somebody for the enemy to surrender to. Republicans have been great at arranging right-wing surrender - time to replace them with a political party more interested in accepting the enemy's surrender.

To paraphrase the well known LOTR Aragorn meme:

"One does not simply abandon one's post outside the oval office mid shift to get a COVID test"

https://www.axios.com/missing-marine-white-house-west-wing-8acbe2c9-1dbe-40b5-8594-11651e1aa075.html

Why I raise this is that it is yet another weird ass anomaly in this Biden presidency to add to all the others, eg the razor fence, the non-salutes, no AF1 ride to the inauguration etc etc etc, things that even on their own simply would not be happening in a normal circumstances, let alone happening all at once. So while the supreme court decisions etc look discouraging, think of the situation from this angle: there is a plausible universe in which these decisions are explicable, ie as being part of the *scare event* (fake Biden presidency?) Q warned us of in advance ("you are watching a movie"). Sure, you can argue that by late February something visible should have happened and you can be blackpilled about that if you want, but consider this: while there is a plausible universe in which this situation can be explained, there is NO plausible universe in which Biden's oval office gets abandoned mid shift by the guarding marine to get a COVID test, or Biden does not travel in AF1 to his inauguration etc etc. So it's a contest between a plausible universe (patriots in control), however seemingly unlikely at times, vs an IMPOSSIBLE universe of Biden being the actual president. And in a choice between only these two possible scenarios, the plausible universe trumps the impossible universe, and becomes TRUE BY DEFAULT.

Oh, and check out this video of Biden's nose as he adjusts his mask during a speech. Maybe that's why he's referring to himself as 'the mask president' https://conservativeus.com/video-appears-to-show-joe-bidens-distorted-nose-as-he-gives-remarks-at-the-national-institutes-of-health/

Ariadne Umbrella wrote:Well, I'm seeing left-wing reporters asking why the Texas State Governor did not ignore the EPA when it told Texas to freeze.
Are normie Texans asking that? Are they ready to force their government to act for them, rather than against them? Are they breaking out the torches and pitchforks?
Tamara Nana Hammer wrote:If you think President Trump and the military are going to let these people get away with a fraudulent election, you're sorely mistaken.
The military is part of the Deep State, part of the fraud. Trump is a nice old civnat boomer-cuck, who wouldn't do a damn thing to stop the fraud, back when he had the power and opportunity.

Yes.
Wyomarine wrote:d... the idiot voters are already planning out the next elections (if there ever is another one will be a surprise)
There will be more elections, but they probably won't bother with the voting part, and it won't matter if they do. Voting got us into this mess, but it won't get us through it.

Few people disagree with Vox. They just have powerful emotional reactions to him.

The hopium has run out. Arguing and debating political solutions when our enemies have already stated their ambition to rob, rape, and murder us into submission is not a strategy, only an option for MORE defeat. When the left accelerates it blood-cudgel of oppression, and the bodies start piling up, then you'll see action.

The conservative masses are standing around, waiting for Trump to jump from a closet and say "I'm back!".
They're all waiting for "the plan' to unfold.
