Stay out of the hospitals

As Karl Denninger and the South Koreans figured out more than a year ago, hospitals are the primary zone of viral transmission.

Up to 40 per cent of coronavirus infections in hospital patients during the first wave of the pandemic could have been caught on NHS wards, scientists have claimed in evidence presented to No10's top advisers.

SAGE today released a document submitted to the panel that claimed stopping the spread of the virus in hospitals may have led to a 'substantial' reduction in the number of deaths in the first wave.

And this nosocomial transmission — as it is medically called — meant the first phase of the UK's coronavirus crisis was 'prolonged, potentially by several weeks', they said.

The spread of the virus on wards has been a problem for the NHS throughout the crisis, with hospitals that have more Covid patients finding it harder to manage. Although staff must wear protective equipment at all times and Covid and non-Covid patients are segregated, the virus still spreads from people who don't have any symptoms or who get false negative test results.

The SAGE paper, published today, suggested that as many as 36,152 of around 90,000 people who were diagnosed with the virus in hospital between February and July 2020 had caught it in hospital.

Of course, this violates the narrative, because as the South Korean hospital study showed, the virus is not in the air. That's why all the mask wearing doesn't make any difference. The most effective way to avoid contact with it is to wash your hands a lot.

There is gonna be some good come out of all of this. Basically everyone has started washing their hands more. Very few things could help public health as much as that one change.

The single biggest factor in the improved health and life expectancy in the West has always been public sanitation, which requires individual participation and cooperation.

Like washing your hands.

I visited an old hospital during college to sign up for a cleaning contract opportunity. One tour through and I didn't put my name in. WW2 era, mould on the walls, to say nothing of the service corridors and less lit basements. In 1999 they set a world record for most buildings destroyed by explosive demolition at the same time (Bridgeland Memorial).

Why not approach health care like the oil and gas industry? Globally standard, ship and truck skids in, all spray-down and metal. After 20 years, toss it away and put in a new one. Smaller buildings, disposable, fit them together like lego. When the site is over, pull up the pilings and return it to nature / diversity endgame / condos. Enough of this old expensive boondoggle deathtrap crap. Talk about bloated! And with smaller modules, it would be very easy to sequester diseased / sick people from everyone else.

That and the uptick in sanitation standards in grocery stores and restaurants. Has anyone looked into the statistics surrounding food poisoning in the past year? I'll bet it's gone down.

Blogger TruthSeekerBear February 12, 2021 3:18 PM

Not necessarily. My husband, daughter, and I were at a Home Depot several weeks ago and I had to use the restroom. A woman came in wearing a mask and then left the bathroom immediately after using it, without washing her hands. Five minutes later we were kicked out for refusing to wear a mask. Meanwhile, that woman was still shopping and touching God knows what with unwashed hands. Some people may never learn.

Indeed, along with people having a pantry rather than two days of food in the house, growing gardens, taking up new hobbies rather than staring at a screen, etc. Living a little more like our ancestors is a good thing, really.

Hand washing is an IQ thing.

You may vanquish the winter wolves of tooth and claw, but they will always come back in any way and any form.

As for hospitals, this has been obvious for nearly 30 years. But that's just part and parcel of collapse. Hospitals are now where you go to die. I was poisoned once, not intentionally- something about detox and mobilizing too much heavy metals at once in my flesh, the skin around my hands, joints, and face even shrunk like a ghoul and my heart rate maxed. I still didn't go to a hospital. Screw that. The only way I'm going is if I'm not conscious enough to run away from the ambulance.

Blogger Rick February 12, 2021 3:38 PM

Yes. The Market Ticker guy concluded, back in April or so, that it was transmitted fecal-orally and primarily from health care workers at nursing homes and such (they wash their hands a lot, but... you get the incontinence picture) and then bring it home to their families.
And so on, and so on.
Likely why I haven't caught it. I already wash my hands a lot (pre-COVID era) and haven't been around any health care workers. And I hardly ever wear THE MASK.
I'm not really certain that washing your hands is all that effective. I mean, if it's already on your hands, isn't that too late? I think it is. It may be transdermal.

Maybe 15 years ago the University of Michigan Hospitals, arguably one of the five best in the country, had a sky high IV infection rate. We represented some much lower rated hospitals and everyone there was chuckling.

As you can guess, the nurses would not change their gloves or wash their hands between patients.

The hospital finally got buy in from the union to start firing offenders, and put trash cans and wall mounted glove boxes and hand sanitizer everywhere.

The nurses finally went along with squirting their hand and putting on new gloves between patients. Rate went way down.

It is likely a Chinese bioweapon. Like most things Chinee, it's an inferior copy of the real thing, so not very dangerous to most of us.

Unlike the usual cold or flu, this is apparently actually dangerous to a random few. Sucks to be them. Fortunately, Ivermectin and HCQ are cheap, safe and effective for prophylaxis and for cure, so even the susceptible are going to be OK.

It's irresponsible and inaccurate to say that mask use makes no difference. Disposable surgical masks filter aerosols poorly. One of their main benefits is to reduce hand to face contact, which would inhibit COVID19 transmission if the non-aerial transmission theory is correct.

Here in China, where hand-washing and germ theory are scarce in the older population, mandatory mask use doubtless saved many lives. By contrast, an educated, conscientious citizenry such as that of Sweden can be trusted to apply common sense.

Anti-maskers make all sorts of fallacious arguments, for example comparing Florida to New York, ignoring the huge difference in latitude. Or ignoring season for a seasonal respiratory virus. They tend to be insane, irate, dishonest, and ignorant of high school biology or physics.

Normalizing mask use in the USA is one of the few potential pro-liberty benefits of COVID19, however degenerate conservatards have made it their line in the sand. The intrinsically self-defeating nature of peasant rebellion leaves me glad that Q is in charge of this one.

I should mention that one reason masks statistically don't appear to work in the USA is that the places where they're mandated are run by Democrats cooking the books to inflate the death toll and filled with noncomplaint low-hygiene NAMs.

One respiratory virus tends to drive out the others due to generic immune countermeasures. All-cause US deaths may be stable due to the life-preserving side-effects of masks and lockdown as much the fakeness of Democrat COVID19 death tolls.

It's easier to unravel the 2020 stolen election numbers than the COVID19 juked stats. E.g., how to account for cowardly doctors killing patients with sedated intubation? So we should rely on common sense instead, and masks during a respiratory epidemic are common sense.

What a coincidence, masks during a color revolution are also common sense...

Yeah, this is what cracks me up about the testing mania. Me and my kids got exposed to someone with the Kung Flu back before Christmas. A brother-in-law was nearly apoplectic that we didn't immediate go get tested.

Right. Let's let everybody who thinks they've been exposed all go to the same place to get tested. It was ONE person who might have it that I was exposed to before, but getting testing means getting exposed to however many people are at the testing facility.

Even if the test works (dubious) that's a dumb bet.

It's some kind of sick social engineering PR deployment, like the 'turn to love' mantra that gets wheeled out whenever one of our darling population of walking bomb threats decide to go boom. The rainbow motif does indeed seem linked to that forced narrative of gay pride that every corporation in the UK has wholeheartedly endorsed, but it's not explicit in this instance.

See: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0002934320306732

Key para:

Reduction of Self-Reinoculation
It is well-recognized that COVID-19 exists outside the human body in a bioaerosol of airborne particles and droplets. Because exhaled air in an infected person is considered to be “loaded” with inoculum, each exhalation and inhalation is effectively reinoculation.15 In patients who are hospitalized, negative pressure is applied to the room air largely to reduce spread outside of the room. We propose that fresh air could reduce reinoculation and potentially reduce the severity of illness and possibly reduce household spread during quarantine. This calls for open windows, fans for aeration, or spending long periods of time outdoors away from others with no face covering to disperse and not reinhale the viral bioaerosol.

I don't have a PhD or anything fancy like that but what they say seems reasonable to me.

Rockefeller, oil driven “allopathy” was, is, and always will be snake oil. “Virus” particles aren’t alive. How can they attack anything? There might not be studies that demonstrate virologists claims, but there are studies that show zero percent transmission rates of disease. The Spanish flu studies were over 100 years ago and every one screaming “science” forgot that whole falsifiability part.

Why have they never isolated a complete virus? They have had a full year to do so. The reliance on RNA snippets to describe this virus is more than a little suspect since Coronaviruses all share some of the same RNA and the larger virus family shares some of the others.

Why has influenza and pneumonia completely disappeared from the face of the earth? A couple weeks ago, the Michigan Dept. of Health put out flu numbers for that week where the average of the past 10 years was 16k for the week. This year there were 23.

Why didnt deaths from all causes not change, year to year?

Why did life expectancy actually rise last year?

Answer these questions satisfactorily and Ill believe there is actually a novel virus. Until then its all fake.

One of their main benefits is to reduce hand to face contact, which would inhibit COVID19 transmission if the non-aerial transmission theory is correct.

I go to the VA twice a week for physical therapy. I have to wear a face diaper, and answer the same damn Cooties questions every time I go. I can't even say no to all the above before they start. One by one I answer. The face diaper is a nuisance on my face, so I touch it constantly. Not to mention everyone else who is touching their face diapers and ewwww, getting their Cooties all over the chairs, counters, equipment, etc. I'm surprised we're not all either suddenly dropping dead in a China Street, or being intubated to death.

The flu didn’t magically disappear. The prevention people are taking for covid is extremely effective on the flu.

The last "expert" doctor I heard talking about this, and I am paraphrasing: "The Corona-Cooties is so bad-ass, it is literally kicking the Flu-Cooties ass and out." It is a jealous virus, and there shall be no other viruses before it. You can not have 2 The Viruses at the same time, for no man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.

I haven't followed one single "expert" Corona-Cooties preventive, other than C, D3, and Zinc... and I've been slacking on that lately. So, I should be getting the Corona-Cooties or the Flu-Cooties from somewhere, or someone. Well, a couple of the grandkids came down with something, maybe one of The Viruses, a couple of months ago. But we didn't all panic, we were acting like we were still living post 2020 lives. Or take bleach baths, incessantly washing our hands, spraying cans of Lysol throughout the house, and done our face diapers.

It really is amusing to see what they have done with this to the average American and their groveling to obey. Here we are. Imagine where we will be. My "countrymen". My ass.

The rise in insurance premiums alone is criminal. Today if a child sneezes parents take it to the doctor for 25 tests and a aspirin for what amounts to a $400 doctor visit. The elderly had made a way of life out of doctor visits and the caretakers who assist them in everyday activities. And addicts, the homeless and the distraught fake illness to stay overnight at a hospital. Like every institution the medical system has collapsed. Notice that restaurants and other places have signs "Must wear face COVERING to ENTER"? Once you get IN and sit at a table OFF come the masks! Isn't it amazing how smart the virus is? Evidently it just hangs around at the door! Then you have to ask for salt and pepper and the waitPERSON (don't want to offend) brings you the shakers - in THEIR bare hands. I asked a few if they sanitize them after each use - NO they don't! I told our WAITRESS (a nice looking blonde WOMAN) that it's be better to use leave them on the table and wipe them off as they did the tables. She looked at me and said "yeah, that would make more sense"! I won't wear a mask unless it's mandatory to GET IN! If they think you have to wear it to shop then I tell them "nope, I'll go somewhere else"!

Reinoculation sounds like a foolish explanation for the fact that fresh air is healthy. Reinoculation would occur anyway via nose breathing, yet nose breathing is healthier.

Rebreathing one's humid air is usually uncomfortable, of course, and uncomfortable things are usually harmful long-term. Which is why I recommend common-sense neck-gaiter use, which avoids such problems.

And then there's the bubonic plague testimony of John G. Lake: " And because we were in contact with the Spirit of life, I and a little Dutch fellow with me went out and buried many of the people who had died from the bubonic plague. We went into the homes and carried them out, dug the graves and put them in. Sometimes we would put three or four in one grave.
We never took the disease. Why? Because of the knowledge that the law of life in Christ Jesus protects us. That law was working. Because of the fact that a man by that action of his will, puts himself purposely in contact with God, faith takes possession of his heart, and the condition of his nature is changed. Instead of being fearful, he is full of faith. Instead of being absorbent and drawing everything to himself, his spirit repels sickness and disease. The Spirit of Christ Jesus flows through the whole being , and emanates through the hands, the heart, and from every pore of the body." http://www.geocities.ws/passionsurf/resources/JohnGLake.html

A good friend, who has helped train companies on safety for years, himself in a hospital once, observed the orderly cleaning the bathroom in a room and then proceeding to change the sheets on the bed without washing her hands. 1,000 euros she doesn't wash her hands before eating or after defecating. make that 2,000 euros.

And doctors go from sick person to sick person wearing the same dirty scrubs and shoe covers.

A plastic spit guard will keep you from spitting in someone's open mouth or eyes if you have to get within "spray it not say it" distance. That is the extent that "masks" work to limit your sharing any virus particles. Cotton is not a magic spell or a semi-permeable membrane.

Also they have the benefit of being comfortable, maintaining good airflow, being okay to touch the outside of, are easy to quickly sanitize with hand sanitizer, are not filthy fabric bacteria and mold germ sinks, allow a friendly smile to be seen, and do not create biohazard litter.

Best of all they are *not* the nouveau Yellow Star, and can be worn with a clean conscience.

While you may be right on covid, your logic is flawed. Lockdowns, masks, 90 percent less social interactions with strangers are bound to lower both flu and other death rates substantially. One could just as easily argue that covid deaths are high but offset by other causes of death declining, making the numbers what they are. Those arguments would be just as weak.

You are picking a conclusion and just molding around it without testing other possibilities. That's not a good way to think on it. That's like someone on the left saying nfl viewership is down solely because tv viewership in general is down and people are doing other things more due to covid etc. Nothing to do with kneeling, self righteous aholes....

Of course, our hospitable are ridiculously old and filthy, as I had the displeasure of feeling myself a few years ago.

Regarding the masks, what I think happened is at first, in March, the WHO and Fauci were kinda telling the truth, that there's no consistent evidence that they work and thus shouldn't be recommended. Then, when faced with increasing numbers and people screaming for action from the government, knowing full well that they couldn't really do anything to stop the pandemic, they double and triple downed on the masks, simply to create the impression that look, your government is working to protect you.

The most clear evidence that masks have little effect, if any, is the way the powerful have consistently been shown not to wear them even after they publicly support them.

In Canada, for as long as I can remember, I have heard, and a couple of times had to deal with long ER waits at our hospitals. I can sum the problem up in two words. "Free healthcare." I'm not trying to debate the benefit or downfalls of "free" healthcare. I'm addressing the problem of long ER waits, because I feel my solution would also wipe out the corona virus "cases." Make the people pay the first $50 of their visit. I promise you most of these idiots going and getting tested every time they think they might have the "deadly corona virus," would stay home if it would cost them $50 to get a swab shoved up their nose. If they decide to go with the anal swab, you may need to raise the price though.

This is flawed logic, because you are not analyzing the cost of such actions. There are downsides to any action, and one thing nobody pushing masks or lockdowns is considering is the cost. Even if the powers that be don't say so, wearing masks and lockdowns have costs - if there weren't, it would be a permanent thing (which is probably what the powers that be intend anyway, they just keep lying to you that it's only for 2 weeks, to flatten the curve, until a vaccine, until 2022, until all the mutations are dealt with, etc).

Locking everybody in solitary confinement for life would eliminate all murders, rapes, and disease spread. I guarantee you most everybody would be miserable, depressed, and committing suicide at high rates if such a policy were imposed.

The costs of government Covidiocy will stack up as time goes on - we can already count job losses and livelihoods ruined in the millions, the cost in the trillions, and the psychological damage will be bringing up the rear.

It is only anecdotal, but lockdown mania is responsible for a co-worker losing possibly both parents. The father because a heart condition was not treated last year when all non-emergency procedures got cancelled, the mother because she had a heart attack soon after her mother passed with her husband in the hospital with said heart problems.

It's irresponsible and inaccurate to say that mask use makes no difference. Disposable surgical masks filter aerosols poorly. One of their main benefits is to reduce hand to face contact, which would inhibit COVID19 transmission if the non-aerial transmission theory is correct.

Wearing a mask INCREASES hand to face contact. And I also don't think you believe a single word you're saying.

Anti-maskers make all sorts of fallacious arguments, for example comparing Florida to New York, ignoring the huge difference in latitude. Or ignoring season for a seasonal respiratory virus. They tend to be insane, irate, dishonest, and ignorant of high school biology or physics.

But not you, right? And let me guess: you would never be paid to post here, and you always tell the truth.

An experiment for the Anti-Maskers:

Don't wear a mask. Look about 2.1 feet in front of yourself. 2.1 feet is the amount of feet Americans tended to stand away from each other pre-COVID. Try to land a glob of spit on that spot 2.1 feet in front of yourself.

Now wear a mask. Look about 6 feet in front of yourself. Now try to land a glob of spit on that spot without moving your mask out of the way.

Masks and social distancing work. Are they 100% perfect? No. No one ever claimed that. But they do reduce the spread of droplet-inhabiting diseases. Pick your battles. Anti-mask nonsense is being astroturfed by people like Fox News. There are WAY more important issues to be focusing on.
