This is why the Library exists

If you still don't understand the importance of Castalia Library and the Castalia Junior Classics, this announcement of converged fairy tales should help you grasp the concept:

Thor: Love And Thunder actor Natalie Portman recently revealed that she’s taken it upon herself to rewrite classic fairytales because they mainly feature male protagonists; publishing a book that features gender-neutral characters instead.

According to Hello! magazine, as reported by Breitbart, Portman decided to rewrite some of these classic fairytales because they “did not reflect the world” in her book titled Natalie Portman’s Fables.

Portman explained, “I found myself changing the pronouns in many of their books because so many of them had overwhelmingly male characters, disproportionate to reality.”

“Boys need to see that women have a multitude of opportunities open to them, to consider what they think and feel, and how they experience the world,” the Star Wars actor continued.

James Halliwell-Phillips’ “The Three Little Pigs,” as well as Aesop’s “The Tortoise and the Hare,” and “The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse” are the classic fairytales that Natalie Portman deemed necessary to give a breath of fresh 21st century air.

Knowledge converged is knowledge destroyed. What they're doing is actually worse than merely burning the books. They are seeking to replace them with subversive versions so that no one will even know that they've been destroyed.

Hey, fair is fair! Equity is equity!

Blogger bar1scorpio March 20, 2021 1:48 PM

Three Little Pigs & Country Mouse/City Mouse are *genered male* to (((Portman)))?
Most boys have never even heard of "The Boy Who :eft Home to Learn How to Shiver", "Jack the Giant Killer" or "The Fool of the World and His Flying Ship". The Mouse rarely touched the classic boy folk tales before they were converged, and have deliberately undermined tales of male courage since. There's a reason there's no "Disney Prince" line, and they needed to buy out Marvel AND Star Wars to have some boy toy properties.
Faerie Tales remain synonymous in the American lexicon as "girls entertainment" to the point were female YA authors rewrite classic princess tales almost as obligation.

Blogger cavalier973 March 20, 2021 1:53 PM

Name three fairy tales off the top of your head. Or five, or ten.

How many have male versus female protagonists?

Blogger Pathfinderlight March 20, 2021 1:58 PM

It's telling how Natalie is so concerned about how men need to understand how women think and feel. Would she ever realize how this society unjustly treats men as disposable wallets? Does she care about men dying on the job at a higher rate? No?

I think we found some toxic femininity.

The Three Little Pigs?
The Big Bad wolf stays male and is a slam-pig thread poster on /b/. All of the pigs identify as female and have body-image issues. One of the pigs is a stronk lesbian, another is a sweet little pig who is tired of male abuse and finds comfort in female solidarity, and the last is a trans-pig that is angry because s/he is never chosen to be a slam-pig.

Blogger Harsh March 20, 2021 2:14 PM

"Portman", huh? Like she thinks she can fool us into thinking she's a goy.

Blogger Jeff Weimer March 20, 2021 2:19 PM

This kind of thing has been going on for far longer than most people realize. In *1981*, a new director of my after-school daycare was hired, and she had us kids go through all the books and mark in an "s/" everywhere there was a "he" in the book, no matter if it was fiction or non-fiction. All of us kids were like "really? This is stupid."

But time marches on.

I wonder how she'd feel about changing the protagonists of the Maccabbees or the rabbi of the golem fairy tale to women? Or is it only dirty white Gentile fairytales that are in need of this kind of editing?

Blogger TheMaleRei March 20, 2021 2:34 PM

I'm sure Mz. Hershlag will then utilize her movie production company, or production company - or whatever it is she theoretically 'owns' / 'controls' to make them into films or other video projects - to much acclaim and no profit.

Hurray for money laundering.

Got news for you bub. Mx. Y just put up some preferred pronouns, and they sure as hell aren't "he/him".

So they replaced the Norse god of thunder with a lesbian jewess. Why not? They already made Heimdall (the fairest) a black African. But then, Stanley Lieber never meant you anything but harm.

White fatherhood was everywhere despised

And white men only always feminized

Ah.. So the postmodernist view gives us a no doubt rich world dripping with new reflections unmoored from logic and reality much less as created in God's image, man and woman.

Can't say I'm surprised. I remember going to the theater and seeing "The Professional" as well as "Heat," both movies she was in as a child. Looking back I haven't re-watched "Professional" even once - it's simply an awful concept that is played for comedy. The main character is portrayed as a simpleton to dull the impact of teaching a child to murder people. Yikes! Talk about morals in the gutter.

I don't think she was given a 'normal' upbringing, and I need moral lessons from her as much as I need moral lessons from the "Different Strokes" girl who went to jail for robbing liquor stores.

Of course you didn't write new material that conveys valuable lessons of life and femininity to girls. If nothing else, that would've at least been a genuine original artistic work that could be evaluated on its merits, and may possibly even teach our world's daughters the value of wisdom, restraint, kindness, caution, humility, etc. but instead you "changed the pronouns" in a lazy and cheap move to make some money and stay relevant far after your beauty has faded, and the spotlight has moved elsewhere.

Because of course you did.

So Natalie Portman's Fables aren't her fables they are just converged version of other peoples work. I'm thinking if she actually took the effort to create her own fairy tales it wouldn't take off. She's left with butchering classics to propagandize young boys. Any parent that will read her version over the original I believe can be said hates their child. Especially if it's a young boy. Thank you and God bless you for what you and your team does Vox.

Vanity publishing at its finest. All the woke media (and libraries, and schools) will crow about striking a blow against the patriarchy, but nobody will actually buy the book except the institutions noted earlier.
The damage is that those are the education establishment, so another set of kids grows up believing that's normal, because their parents never decided to act or speak out against it.

Blogger Doktor Jeep March 20, 2021 4:34 PM

Notice how Cancer Inc. never attempt to generate anything novel. They couldn't even rehash "Hero with a Thousand faces" with a girl standing in for Luke Skywalker. A formula so tried and true it got John Singleton nominated for two Oscars for his first film attempt. Billions spent and nothing to show for it but Rose Tico toys collecting dust on the shelf in the kids' isle.

Instead, they simply defile any vestige of the Good, the Beautiful, and the True. HBO attempted this with "Happily Ever After: Fairy tales for all children" in the nineties. They marketed it as being diverse. Maybe like children's stories from different cultures?

Nope, just blackwashing the classics. Now even that's not enough.

Also, Aesop was the father of all gammas.

Natalie Portman is an Israeli-American Jewish actress.

She was born Natalie Hershlag on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem, Israel and her first language was Hebrew, which she still speaks fluently. To protect her privacy as a minor, she adopted the name Portman, her grandmother’s maiden name, as her stage name....

Blogger Crunchy Cachalot March 20, 2021 6:39 PM

So אשה Herschlag is "re-writing" European literature for her son Aleph (apparently using Word's "replace" function) so he can "see that women have a multitude of opportunities open to them, to consider what they think and feel, and how they experience the world." Who's shocked? Not I. And she's supposed to one of the Hollywood Smart Set.

It's telling how Natalie is so concerned about how men need to understand how women think and feel.

One of the weirder but more common feminine pretensions: "You NEED to read this book/watch this film/listen to this TED talk so you can understand what women REALLY think!".

Every Single Timers write essays about how they don't have fairy tales, and are not in fairy tales. It's kind of sad. They don't realize, or won't admit, that their ancestors are the things that go bump in the night and steal children away. They've got PhD essays locked up in Israel, all copies sequestered there, all about the human trafficking they engaged in from at least the fall of Rome, 400AD ish, until, well, it's still happening.

The vision of King Alfred, from G. K. Chesterton's "The Ballad of the White Horse"

"I know that weeds shall grow in it
Faster than men can burn;
And though they scatter now and go,
In some far century, sad and slow,
I have a vision, and I know
The heathen shall return.

"They shall not come with warships,
They shall not waste with brands,
But books be all their eating,
And ink be on their hands.

"Not with the humour of hunters
Or savage skill in war,
But ordering all things with dead words,
Strings shall they make of beasts and birds,
And wheels of wind and star.

"They shall come mild as monkish clerks,
With many a scroll and pen;
And backward shall ye turn and gaze,
Desiring one of Alfred's days,
When pagans still were men.
"
