ARKTOONS: four new titles

It will probably not surprise you to learn that Bounding Into Comics has the exclusive story:

Arktoons continues to roll out new titles to the digital comics platform found at

Arktoons is a free-to-view website, meaning all episodes are free to read. New episodes of each series are released weekly. In fact, there are new episodes for a variety of titles on every single day of the week.

While all the comics and series are free-to-view, you can support the platform and the comics creation through a subscription. There are currently four options ranging from $5 to $50. It is not a requirement to subscribe in order to read the comics.

After releasing 10 titles in its first two days including Alt-Hero Q, Midnight’s War, The Hammer of Freedom, A Throne of Bones, Ascendant, and Flying Sparks among others, Arktoons announced four new titles.

Those four new titles are Hypergamouse, Right Ho Jeeves, Dynamite Thor, and Shade.

While there are a few technical infelicities, particularly on mobile, the platform has proven to be entirely stable. Traffic is already 3x that of Day One, which bodes well as it appears that the positive word of mouth is beginning to take effect.

Thursday's winner was A Throne of Bones, although Ascendant was a strong number two and Chuck Dixon Presents: Adventure proved to be surprisingly popular. The production team did a stellar job with The Frogmen, as they almost flawlessly replicated the old-style dialogue balloons in a manner that is actually legible at 1080 resolution.

Mobile is a bit wonky but the system is not even up a week. Incredible bit of work the team has done here, very impressive. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Loving all the title so far! I think the curated classics thing is a great unexpected addition. A dose of comics history from an expert. Like a comic version of AMC.

I love the classic adventure comics. You folks deserve props for bringing it back for the newer generation to see.

I expect traffic will continue to grow, and exponentially, as the kinks get wrung out of the website, especially mobile. The content is too good not to be interested.

Comics were for me a forgotten art almost. I liked reading them as a child, but along the way I kind of lost the connection. But man, I must say, Arkhaven sparked the light in me and I suddenly find myself reading comics every day! Congratulations and thank you!

Midnight's War is as good as I recall.

Right Ho Jeeves in high resolution is a very pleasant surprise. The absurdity leaps off the page in the best way. Also, Shade promises to be a whole lot of fun.

Marvel can keep their fashion show.

This is great value at the silver support level. Some wag may point out that I still read it for free, but I want the project to hit full sustainability.

Will there eventually be a share button for each title? That would make spreading the word that much easier.

I need to make some meymeys out of Arktoons and then post them while in discourse with the blue-haired bunny boiler SJW brigade on Twitter, especially with the heart of Riot Season still to come.

Will there eventually be a share button for each title?

There will eventually be share buttons, comments, ratings, notifications and all sorts of things. This is the bare bones functionality.

I've been very pleased by the high quality images. They're similar to BDs. And it's a pleasure to read them.

I really enjoy the comics but it's not enough (it's just me) I will have to tough it out for a few weeks until there's enough episodes to satisfy my appetite. I need more! Hope you consider this the positive review that it is!

Finally gave it a gander. Great stuff, I'm sure I'll be hanging out at Arkhaven much more in the future.
